Working with housing associations and other local partners, we run free programmes for primary school children and their families, providing access to vital educational support to those who need it most. Job Purpose
This is an exciting time to join our small and impactful team, as we embark on a new four-year strategy, with goals to broaden and deepen our reach and impact, diversify our funding and delivery partnerships, and boost our programmes to support year 6 to 7 transition and tutor career development opportunities.
A major strategic priority is to grow geographically in priority areas and into new core cities - which this role will play a pivotal role in achieving. We began working outside of London during the pandemic when we moved our tuition online and we have continued to adapt and expand our programmes in the Midlands and the North. This is the first dedicated role outside of our London-based Programme Officer team, which will be working closely with the Head of Regions - Midlands and North (who is Manchester-based) to support the successful delivery of our contracts across these regions and to ensure we can continue to scale up and reach more pupils in target areas, where the attainment gaps are even starker than outside London.
The Programme Officer will be responsible for the management and overall delivery of their designated programmes. Over the next four years, we aim to scale our tutoring hubs to reach nearly 1,000 pupils per year in core cities and areas across England. This role will involve managing relationships with tutors, parents and clients, while collecting robust qualitative and
quantitative data to measure the impact and build the success of our work. This is a critical role, leading on the delivery and evaluation of multiple programmes, managing key stakeholder relationships, and contributing to the development of our tutoring programmes in our newer delivery regions.
The Programme Officer will ensure high levels of quality assurance, particularly among tutors working in their hubs, so we achieve our intended outcomes. This is a multifaceted role, working across all parts of the organisation to ensure we deliver the best possible results for our pupils.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about education, has strong stakeholder management skills and is familiar with the Greater Manchester area and/or wider North-West region. You should be able to adapt your communication style to effectively engage with clients, parents, tutors, pupils and funders alike, and have strong written and verbal presentation skills. You will bring brilliant project management skills and be comfortable working with data and using it to make informed decisions.

About the role
Smart Works is looking to appoint a Head of London Service Delivery for 12 months, to start in September 2024. This is a maternity cover role for an established leadership role within the Smart Works staff team.
The Head of London Service Delivery is responsible for leading the delivery of the Smart Works service across London. Last year the Smart Works centres in London supported over 3500 unemployed women from across London, and the demand for our service is expected to rise significantly in the coming months.
By effectively leading and managing a team of nine, the Head of London Service Delivery will ensure Smart Works is well positioned to meet the growing demand for our services and maintain quality as the charity grows. They will ensure that every client who visits Smart Works leaves their appointment feeling confident and with the best possible chance of job success.
They will monitor performance against KPIs and will work with their team to ensure there is a steady flow of referrals, the volunteer community is engaged and supported and client feedback is consistently positive.
More broadly, the Head of London Service Delivery plays an important role in creating a welcoming environment and a supportive team culture in all three London centres. The successful applicants will need to build strong working relationships across the staff and volunteer teams, as well as with external partners and other senior staff working across the 11 centres across the UK.

Duties and responsibilities

Benefits, terms, and conditions

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our Education Team. This role will require the successful candidate to support an integrated and holistic approach to education, health and care, work under the direct supervision of an allocated teacher / senior specialist teaching assistant, support access to learning and provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils in learning opportunities and to assist the teacher in providing relevant support for pupils with severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and complex therapeutic, medical and health needs.

Role Requirements
STL1 – Provide support for Learning Activities set by Classteacher & Senior Specialist Teaching Assistant
- To support learning activities for individual, groups or whole classes of pupils, leading activities under the direction of the teacher or Senior Teaching Assistant supporting the teacher in their delivery of lessons.
- To demonstrate our School Ethos and Pupil Charter throughout the School day.

CORE PURPOSE:
Under the management of the Director of Client Services to provide specialist, evidence-based trauma therapy to children and young people seeking help from ASSIST throughout Northamptonshire.Therapy will be provided in an age appropriate manner.
ASSIST is a member of the United Kingdom Psychological Trauma Society and the European Society for Traumatic Stress Studies.All ASSIST specialist therapists are expected to work according to evidence based practice models (currently C.B.T. and E.M.D.R.), and in accordance with ethical practice.
Key Tasks
1.To provide specialist evidence-based trauma therapy in an age appropriate manner, to include play and art therapy to children and young people across Northamptonshire seeking help from ASSIST.
2.To deliver robust assessment and formulation measures, ensuring effective and appropriate interventions are delivered.
3.To deliver client services directly, and to receive appropriate clinical supervision accordingly.
4.To attend multidisciplinary meetings and liaise with various professionals as required for the wellbeing of the clients.

Children & Young People’s Residential Practitioners

About the position….
- The core tasks of a Night Care Worker include attending to the needs of the children and young adults during the night, some of which have complex health conditions, domestic duties and appropriate record keeping in accordance with legislation and regulation.
