Their support is truly invaluable, and we’re looking for a Volunteer Programme Manager (Maternity Cover) to help us continue creating an inclusive and forward-thinking volunteering culture.
In this role, the Volunteer Programme Manager will collaborate with six internal departments as well as our Marketing and Communications team to champion best practices in volunteer management. The role involves overseeing recruitment, training, supporting, and supervising our incredible volunteers, ensuring they feel empowered and valued every step of the way.
Summary
- Supervising, checking, authorising and peer reviewing the work of Pension Administrators and other Senior Administrators.
- Dealing with enquiries/calculations of a non-routine or complicated nature, with guidance from the Team Leader(s).
- Assisting with the general running of the Department and carrying out other duties as may be required.
- Providing cover for the pensions helpline and pensions and contribution mailboxes, dealing with member and employer queries that arise.
- Calculating benefits on leaving, retirement, death and transfer out/divorce
- Producing statements of contributions and annual benefit statements for scheme members.
- Carrying out the day to day administration of the voluntary contribution arrangements and transfers between AVC schemes.

Job purpose and responsibilities
The central objectives of this post are:

Tameside SHS is a mental health, 24 hour supported housing and community-based service, working to a recovery model. We provide a range of support services for people with mental ill health to access in their local community, including outreach support, tenancy support, peer support and supported housing. We have been operating in the area for a number of years and offer a staffed service to our residents aged 18 and upwards. Care to join us?
As a Specialist Intervention Coach your challenge will be to monitor, develop and share good practice across staff teams to ensure individuals and teams are better equipped to work with a greater range of challenging support needs. We’ll also rely on you to provide high quality intensive support using psychotherapeutic intervention and support the staff team in delivering these. Working to deliver the guided intervention model and brief interventions for Waythrough as a requirement of service expectations will be important too. I work mainly on a one-to-one basis in the community and/or in people’s homes; and I may support group and other activities in the Change Mental Health Resource Centre – although one to one support is my main focus.
I support the Locality, Service and Area Managers, in their strategic role to meet national and funder criteria. I work l closely with partners in the community to identify gaps in the service where they arise and implement solutions in partnership with my line manager.

Procurement:
7. Assist to evaluate ongoing support requirements of the office, adapt service provision to meet changing needs and resolve as required.
8. Support and follow-up on the maintenance and repair of office facilities, including preventive maintenance. Contribute to the establishment of maintenance agreements with competent service providers when it is feasible and determined to be cost effective.
9. In coordination with relevant parties, contribute to the timely submission of asset, procurement and other reports within IOM UK office to Regional Office and relevant HQ departments, as appropriate.
10. Contribute to the review of the procurement requests, identify service providers, and evaluate information regarding vendor's performance in terms of quality, prices, and timely delivery of goods and services. Maintain a pool of qualified vendors.
11. Assist in maintaining up-to-date inventories and tracking systems for fast-moving goods and for fixed assets.
12. Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
