As a Software Development Team Leader for the Royal Society of Chemistry, you will shape the software architecture and the fine grained detail of configuration and implementation throughout the software development lifecycle for performance, security and maintainability of the applications we build.

Working within our DevOps team and with your colleagues across the directorate, you will lead a team of cross-functional technical staff, comprised of both back-end (.NET C#, node.JS), front-end (HTML/CSS/JS/Vue.JS) developers, test automation engineers and site reliability engineers. Your work will enable the Royal Society of Chemistry to build, scale and continually improve our websites and services, serving our global audience of customers, users and colleagues. You will oversee the technical aspects of the product roadmap, working closely in collaboration with Solutions Architects and other Team Leaders to align with, contribute to and iterate on a shared architectural repository, guiding agile workstream members in technical implementation, assigning and ensuring quality delivery of backlog items and taking ownership of technical changes and releases. You will also directly line manage a small number
of back-end C# .NET developers.

We are looking for:

• Strong knowledge and experience of full stack (.NET C# back-end development, HTML/CSS/JS/Vue.JS front-end development) software development life cycles.
• Experience with DevOps best practice, such as continuous delivery, continuous testing, infrastructure as code etc.
• Experience working within Agile practices, particularly Scrum and Kanban.
• People management experience including delivery quality, workloads and personal development.
• Knowledge of Authentication and Authorisation protocols (SAML, OpenID Connect).

We are seeking a dynamic and efficient Events Manager to deliver a world-class and sector-leading portfolio of annual events to support LSHTM’s Strategy to both internal and external audiences.  Events are diverse and include graduation ceremonies for students, conferences and lectures for academics, policymakers and funders, as well as internal community social events. Working within the Communications & Engagement department, the events team provide best practice guidance to others across LSHTM arranging events through a toolkit.

Who we’re looking for

You should have proven experience in event management, including the coordination of staff and financial resources.  You must have excellent organisational skills with ability to multi-tasking to deliver a varied portfolio of events with impact. They will need an exceptional eye for detail, a collaborative and flexible approach with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels. About the Role

Camden Kaleidoscope, located in London, is an innovative, specialist-supported accommodation service focusing on mental health and complex needs. As a Service Manager you will lead a dedicated team to provide trauma-informed mental health support to young people between ages 16-24, an understanding and/or experience of trauma-informed practice would be advantageous. In addition, you’ll manage and develop a dedicated staff team including mental health support workers, volunteers and students so previous experience in line management and working in Mental Health accommodation services (or equivalent) will be required.

AIMS / PURPOSE OF THE POST

To ensure that services are delivered in accordance with appropriate clinical standards and protocols such as The Survivors Trust, BACP and any specific requirements from the Management Committee, funders and commissioners.

To manage the helpline service by ensuring that the helpline volunteers provide consistent support and an effective service on the helpline. MAIN DUTIES

The Services Coordinator is responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:

We are looking for an intern to join the Global Selection Programme (GSP) team on a fixed term three month contract. As the Global Selection Programme Intern, you will be line managed by the GSP Coordinator to help you integrate and collaborate with the Programmes Team and with other key stakeholders. The post holder will play an important role in driving improvements to one of UWC’s key application programmes as it prepares for the 2025/26 academic year.

About UWC International 

The UWC International Office serves as the operational arm of UWC International, a UK-registered and Germany-registered charity, and stands as a pivotal entity within the UWC movement. Positioned in central London and Berlin, it collaborates extensively with stakeholders across the UWC spectrum, actively engages a robust alumni community comprising more than 60,000 members, and fulfils essential functions for UWC International's governance bodies. Our primary duties encompass global fundraising initiatives, comprehensive communications strategies, promotional endeavours, support for the network of over 150 UWC national committees, global strategy development and implementation, and support services to the UWC schools.

The UWCIO Programmes team works with UWC schools and colleges and with national committees to enable as many deserving young people as possible to experience a UWC education, collaborating closely with them to build their capacity where necessary and implement new processes, policies and programmes where possible. 

The Global Selection Programme is available to young people aged 15 to 18 from around the world, so long as they do not require any financial support to attend UWC. It is an annual programme that usually accepts applications from September to May for admission in the following academic year. Fifteen of UWC’s eighteen schools and colleges currently participate in the programme.

The role:

The BSAVA is looking for an experienced policy professional in the areas of policy development and legislative change set against a backdrop of a complex and regulated environment. The role operates within a changing landscape dealing with high-profile issues for the sector.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape BSAVA’s policies and national legislation with the aim of influencing outcomes of benefit to the veterinary profession, its clients and the health and welfare of companion animals.

Skills and experience:

We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a track record of success, who can demonstrate excellent understanding of policy-making and legislative change in an unpredictable environment. They will have significant previous experience of working in a policy role, ideally within a life-sciences or a veterinary or human medicine setting.

Experience of working with central government departments along with an understanding of parliamentary processes are preferable for the role. Equally important is the ability to analyse and critique information, formulate evidence-based solutions and accurately convey proposals to influence outcomes.

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, with strong written and verbal skills. They will be able to demonstrate effective engagement skills across a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, including the membership. Diplomacy and political awareness will be essential to ensure successful outcomes. Experience of PR and reputation management as part of the policy-making agenda is desirable.

The candidate must be flexible to work outside of normal office hours depending on the demands of the role which are often driven by the external environment and national events. The role is hybrid, incorporating working from home with travelling to meetings in or around London as required.  Therefore, to facilitate the needs of the role and the organisation, ideally candidates would be located in Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire or Oxfordshire.

About the BSAVA:

The BSAVA is a professional membership association which exists to advance care for companion animals. With a membership of more than 11,000 veterinary surgeons, vet nurses and students, we work in the UK and internationally to promote excellence in small animal practice through education and science, by facilitating training, conducting research, and developing policy. RSBC are seeking an experienced Habilitation Specialist to join our Services Directorate. In this varied role you’ll have the opportunity to work with children, young people and families directly, as well as developing and delivering training. You’ll be our organisational expert in all things Habilitation and be part of a wider team seeking to ensure blind and partially sighted children and young people can live their life without limits.

Who are we looking for?

Someone with a nationally recognised qualification in habilitation training for children and young people with a visual impairment. You will have significant experience of working with children and young people with vision impairment and additional needs, excellent written and oral skills, and good IT skills. There will be the occasional weekend and evening work for which time off in lieu will be given.

Hybrid with the possibility of a remote base, but regular attendance at the London Office and within London would be required.
