Temwa is seeking a dynamic Fundraising & Development Manager to lead and expand our charity's fundraising efforts. The ideal candidate will be experienced, confident, and honest, with a deep passion for international development.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Overseeing the fundraising team, including the Programme & Trust Officer who supports grant applications and reporting, and the Fundraising & Events Coordinator who supports individual giving, events, and trading.
- Managing the Communications Officer to provide information for PR, marketing, and promotion of fundraising activities, as well as to highlight Temwa’s work in Malawi.
- Growing and developing the current fundraising programme, with a focus on individual giving, institutional funding, as well as trust & foundations.
- Leading the expansion of corporate fundraising, particularly through the Carbon Balance Programme.
- Managing the daily operations of the UK fundraising office.
- Creating and updating the fundraising strategy, including planning and forecasting fundraising activities.

We have a highly skilled team of 30 full-time employees in Malawi implementing this work, based out of two offices in the Northern Region. Our UK office in Bristol comprises a small fundraising and operations team of seven staff (two team members are full-time, all other team members are part-time), 3-5 regular volunteers and interns, and a wider family of volunteers and supporters.
Temwa UK has an experienced and high functioning board of Trustees who are very engaged. The board member who oversees the fundraising portfolio is very active, providing support to the Fundraising & Development Manager and the fundraising team as a whole.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
1. Managing the fundraising strategy and donor relations with oversight of the fundraising office
- Develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate the charity’s income generation strategy, ensuring targets are achieved.
- Align the fundraising strategy with the communications and marketing strategy.
- Act as the organizational expert on income generation, leading the team to expand all relevant fundraising streams.
- Maintain and enhance current income streams, including trust fundraising, corporate fundraising, high value donors, and individual giving.
- Maintain relationships with key donors and their specific requirements.
- Collaborate with the Programme Advisor and Programmes Director in Malawi to align community needs with donor priorities.
- Lead, research & review the opportunities to apply for institutional funding with the Programme Advisor.
- Manage donor relations and communication with the Managing Director, Programme Advisor, and UK fundraising team.
- Contribute to donor reporting and distribution donor reports, and ensure compliance to donor-relevant obligations with the Programme Advisor.
- The Fundraising & Development Manager will report directly to the MD and Board of Trustees.
2. Providing leadership to and managing the fundraising team
- Develop, coach, inspire, and motivate the team to achieve their objectives and grow their skills.
- Conduct regular one-to-ones with direct reports, ensuring effective performance management with timely appraisals.
- Ensure team members have clear work plans and objectives.
- Champion best practices in particular with use of the database, ensuring all legal and compliance standards are met and, where possible, exceeded in fundraising and marketing activities.
- Recruit key fundraising team members as needed.
- Support the fundraising team in designing and managing effective marketing and communications strategies.
- Facilitate effective internal and external communication, sharing information, successes, and best practices.
3. Growing income streams
- Lead and manage all fundraising areas in the UK office, ensuring targets are met.
- Develop and manage comprehensive budgets, providing performance information to the Senior Management Team and Trustees.
- Ensure effective management of the donor journey for all contacts.
- Research and develop business cases for new income generation areas to drive sustainability.
- Implement and evaluate new income generation projects.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with significant supporters, making effective asks to maximize income.
- Adhere to best practices and embed a culture of learning within the organization.
- Develop and implement a strategy to increase corporate fundraising through the Temwa Carbon Balance Programme.
- Grow and develop SME and corporate partnerships with support from the Managing Director and Fundraising Trustee.
- Develop and implement a strategy to increase corporate funding, individual giving, institutional funding and trust & foundation funding.
- Lead on all grant applications, including trust & foundation and institutional.
- Manage individual giving campaigns and online activities with support from the fundraising team.
- Source individual stories and images, brief internal and external teams, and write copy as needed.

4. Senior management
- Collaborate with the management team to reach key audiences and achieve strategic goals.
- Provide strategic direction for fundraising and communications, nurturing team members to develop their skills.
- Ensure all parts of the organization understand income generation and fundraising.
- Represent the charity externally.
- Provide advice and guidance to colleagues and Trustees.
- Play an active role in updating the organization’s strategic plan and shaping the charity's future direction.
· Serve as the deputy to the Managing Director when the MD is in Malawi or on annual leave.
5. Policies and procedures

Experience, Qualifications, and Requirements:
The ideal applicant would have the following attributes
· Experience of working in a senior fundraising role
· Certificate or diploma from the Institue of Fundraising or similar

Look Good Feel Better is a national cancer charity devoted to delivering workshops that help people living with a cancer diagnosis to cope with the physical and emotional side effects of their treatment. About the role

ROLE CONTEXT
ABOUT ALL SAINTS: There has never been a more exciting time to join the team at All Saints. As part of a new project to revitalise the church for the Island, we are planting the first-ever contemporary service into the Church as part of the HTB network of churches (including Harbour Church Portsmouth). We are currently building an amazing team to bring the vision to life. So, this is a rare opportunity to join a new foundational team and community and to be part of the team that sets the vision, values, and culture for the next phase of ministry at All Saints as we explore what it looks like to play our part in the evangelisation of the nation, the revitalisation of the Church, and the transformation of society.
ABOUT RYDE: Ryde is just a 10-minute journey on the hovercraft from Portsmouth Harbour. Ryde is known as ‘the gateway to the Island with several main travel points located within it. It also has a long stretch of sandy beach and lots of independent shops and cafes. The largest town on the Isle of Wight with a population of 37k. The Church is a landmark on the island with the spire visible from many places around the Isle of Wight and from the mainland projecting beyond the town skyline. The socioeconomic makeup of the town is very mixed and it is a great vibrant place to live and work.
ROLE PURPOSE
This is an amazing opportunity for someone who thrives on operational excellence and loves managing a project to completion to have a hugely impactful and pivotal role in a church entering a new phase of its life. You will be a key part of the leadership team and oversee the operational management of All Saint’s Ryde and assist other Ryde churches in the plurality group; ensuring structures and systems are in place to enable ministry and best use resources within our church, to advance the vision of the church. The Operations Lead will work with the Rector and Team Vicars to achieve the strategic objectives of All Saints in overseeing the operational, organisational, and financial aspects of the church.
KEY TASKS AND DELIVERABLES
Oversee Operational Excellence - Oversee the important day-to-day operations of the church and its buildings and hold oversight responsibility for: Project roll-out; Health and Safety; Food Hygiene, Fire Assessment; Risk Management; Infrastructure; GDPR and Accessibility issues.
- Develop and lead the ongoing strategic plan for the church’s activity in consultation with the wider team.
- Collect and collate data and process information to provide reports as required about church activity.
- Lead the process of planning, designing, developing and implementing church operating and governance procedures, processes and systems.
- Work as part of the leadership team to develop the church’s calendar of events and activities.
- Collect data regarding progress concerning the church’s key objectives and report regularly to relevant stakeholders.
Lead on rhythms to ensure great delivery and communication.
- Oversee the smooth operational running, development and communications of Sunday services & events.

Be the Team – as All Saints has never had a contemporary worship service before, this is really a church-planting opportunity. We’re therefore looking to build a team of people who are energised by helping one another and who want to serve the wider vision of the church rather than work in team- specific silos. While most of your work will be focused on operational excellence, we’re aiming to be a close-knit team who all help each other and where no one is left with too much on their plate or a task they can’t manage. This means we’ll all help you with as needed, but in turn, we expect that you’ll help when needed with other projects as well. We think church is just more fun this way, anyway!

SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Being part an active part of the worship of the Christian Church is a genuine occupational requirement for this role. The Operations Lead will be expected to be part of the worshipping community at All Saints while holding this role. The role holder must be available to work a selection of Key Annual events which will include various Holiday services, Church Meetings, Focus (our church summer holiday festival), and other key ministry events (for which advanced notice of dates will be given and time in lieu will be given if outside of normal working hours). All staff must attend weekly staff meetings in person.

About the role and the London Adult Service:
The London Adult Service is a transformational service which aims to provide end-to-end support and casework to victims and witnesses of crime in London. The service is funded by the Mayor's Office for Police and Crime (MOPAC) and is a key part of the London criminal justice landscape. This role will play a pivotal part in supporting our external interface with our stakeholders. The role will be home-based, but attendance at our London office may sometimes be required for meetings.
As a Digital Engagement and Partnerships Manager you'll:
- Promote the London adult digital services to encourage referrals into the service.
- Oversee the implementation of key digital initiatives, working with partners to ensure a joined up user journey.
- Work with key stakeholders to encourage feedback and continuous improvement of the service.
- Manage the digital elements of the service ensuring operational teams are provided with assistance, for example with developing webinars and online group activities.

We have been awarded a significant grant from the Defra Trees Call to Action Fund for #Defra Heart of England: growing momentum, capacity, skills and trees. In partnership with Stratford-on-Avon, Warwick, and Wychavon District Councils, the Heart of England Forest is leading this three year project to engage with landowners and local communities to increase tree cover across the landscape. Working together to identify suitable areas for trees to be planted, facilitate tree planting, and support woodland maintenance, new woodlands will be created that benefit the environment, boost biodiversity, and provide havens for communities to enjoy.
We are looking for two candidates with widespread experience of project delivery and good team working skills. The successful candidates will work closely with project partners to engage with local communities and larger scale landowners to identify suitable areas for tree planting. Working with them to understand their needs, you will provide information on different types of planting and support them through the regulatory and funding process.
You will be passionate about landscape-scale conservation and the benefits this brings to both people and wildlife and have a demonstrable track record in successful team working.
The post will be based in the Heart of England Forest head office in Dorsington, but due to the nature of the project hybrid working will form part of the role. Each project delivery post has been assigned a particular geographic area – Warwick, Stratford-on-Avon or Wychavon district – and will be expected to travel extensively across their project area. However, both posts will contribute to delivery across the wider project area as applicable, working on a collaborative manner with the existing project team.

Job Purpose
Reporting to our PR Lead, the PR Manager will play a crucial role raising the profile of Save the Children UK amongst key target audiences, by developing and delivering projects that command media attention and coverage.
As a key member of the PR, Artists & Broadcast team, the appointee will apply their experience working with the media to shape major income- and influence-generating campaigns and build our brand.
You will also work alongside a wide spectrum of internal and external stakeholders, including high-profile ambassadors, influencers and corporate partners.

The PR Manager's key duties will be:
Strategy and Project Management
Work closely with team members in other departments within Save the Children to provide excellent PR support to develop and execute creative ways to deliver on Save the Children's objectives. Delivery to include:
- Brand – Build high profile and positive perceptions of Save the Children and its cause across all audiences via PR. Communicate our brand promise and build understanding with the public and opinion formers, demonstrating the depth, scale, impact and complexity of our work.
- Campaigns – Provide PR support to deliver across high–profile moments across Save the Children's major campaigns such as Christmas Jumper Day in order to achieve mass audience engagement.
- Compelling storytelling - Engage audiences through impactful child-centric stories, championing children's voices in order to empower the communities we work with.
- Reputation management – Support the wider team to protect Save the Children's reputation and identify issues relating to corporate risk management.
Delivering Media Coverage
- Develop and execute mass-market PR plans that amplify key strategic campaigns and initiatives across the calendar year, including brand, fundraising and advocacy priorities.
- Identify and maximise opportunities to generate reactive media coverage, responding effectively to external events, news and the cultural conversation.
- Write, co-ordinate and issue media releases, statements, briefing materials and Q&As, including for high-profile spokespeople and corporate partners, if required.
- Plan, manage and participate in overseas and UK trips to Save the Children programmes for the purpose of generating coverage and content – including hosting journalists and high-profile supporters.
- Commission and manage multimedia crews and organise PR shoots, with the purpose of generating world-class film and photography content that commands media attention.
- Develop and nurture close working relationships with journalists (especially those on features, women's, lifestyle, showbiz outlets) across print, digital and broadcast media - including a diverse range of outlets beyond mainstream media.
- Leverage social media and new technologies develop digital-first PR campaigns, including influencer activations.
- Represent Save the Children as spokesperson externally, networking and building relationships that support brand building activity in the media.
- Take part in the on-call and out of hours media rota. This will see you handling media enquiries and proactively pushing out stories on the weekend and out of hours during the week.
- Support PR Leads and Head of PR, Artists and Broadcast as required in the smooth-running of the team, including chairing meetings and carrying out administrative tasks.
About you
To be successful in this role, it is important that you have:
- Experience working in a busy, high-pressure Press Office, Public Relations agency or in-house.

Ways of Working:

We are looking to appoint an Internal Communications Officer who will play a critical role in developing and shaping the organisation’s internal communications for the staff of the Connexional Team.

The National House Project (NHP) takes a ground-breaking approach through its commitment to young people’s ownership to enable young people leaving care to lead connected and fulfilling lives. The approach was co-designed with young people from the start and works on cooperative and social pedagogical principles through a groupwork approach which is supported by adults and young people in and leaving care working together. Using a psychologically informed relational practice framework young people gain skills, knowledge and the confidence to make their house a home and build a long-term community of support.
NHP supports Local House Projects (LHP) to put young people at the centre of the decision-making processes, challenges staff to work with them in an inclusive way and encourages staff to support young people to find the solutions to the challenges they face. LHP achieve improved outcomes for young people, supports professionals in the ways that they work with young people and enable young people to leave care in a supported and ‘less scary’ way.
To ensure that young people are involved at every level of the organisation, each LHP is represented by 2 young people at regional meetings and from these forums, young people elect their representatives for Care Leavers National Movement. CLNM provides a forum to develop practice, share ideas and find solutions to challenges. The Chair and Vice Chair of CLNM are supported by CLNM Champions and sit on the Board of Trustees as expert advisors.
To support the expansion of the Charity we have increased our strategic capacity by creating the post of Deputy Director and are now recruiting to the practice lead roles. We are looking for someone who is motivated, believes that with the right support care experienced young people can achieve great things and should be at the heart of any decision that affects their future. You will support staff in LHPs to create an environment where young people transition to adulthood in a positive and supported way and hence an understanding of child development, social pedagogical approaches and psychologically informed care are important. You will also work with the CLNM as well as the core NHP team to ensure that young people continue to drive the approach at both a local and national level.

The European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO) is one of the world’s pre-eminent symphony orchestras. An orchestra of dynamism, youthful energy, and passion shaped afresh each year with highly talented musicians from all 27 EU Member States. Recognised across the world for the excellence of its music-making, and for its success in nurturing the careers of generations of young musicians, the EUYO is always at the forefront, anticipating and reacting to the changing world around it, equipping its members for careers in that world and forging change within the classical music and cultural sectors.
For the past half-decade, the statutory public funding won by the EUYO was sufficient to finance its activities. Now, with a new base in Austria, an expanded programme, preparations for its 50th anniversary, and with the challenges of current general global uncertainty, the EUYO wishes to extend its revenue base by reigniting its previously strong tradition in private funding and corporate relationships, beginning with the recruitment of a Head of Development and Philanthropy. The Head of Development and Philanthropy will have responsibility for fundraising from corporates, individuals and trusts and foundations. The responsibility for the EUYO’s statutory public funding from EU, EU member state and local and regional public institutions will continue to be held by the Executive & Artistic Director and the Head of Executive & Finance.
In order to assist this process, the last year 18 months have been used by the Orchestra to create and put in place new development processes and initial donors, including utilising a skilled volunteer Board level fundraising committee, setting up a cross border tax incentive scheme, creating a new bespoke CRM integrated with the Orchestra’s database, creating a new website support area, initiating new patrons and individuals programmes and the base strategy for a new alumni programme, and recruiting new initial corporate donors. Now, with all of these processes and achievements in place, the EUYO seeks a dynamic entrepreneurial fundraiser to help deliver the Orchestra’s exciting future programme, and over time, to grow a fundraising team as income generation builds.
Purpose of role

we are now seeking an exceptional Head of Development and Philanthropy to join that team. The

Reporting to the Executive and Artistic Director, this role will suit a dynamic, ambitious, collegiate and entrepreneurial individual. Working in close collaboration with colleagues, you will be responsible for shaping the nature of the EUYO’s fundraising. Primary responsibilities

Governance and finance
- Keep up to date with changes in fundraising regulation and ensure implementation where required.
- Work with the Head of Executive and Finance to set and manage expenditure and report on ROI.
- Manage quarterly Fundraising Committee meetings in conjunction with the Committee Chair.
- Work with the Fundraising Committee to research new potential committee members.
- Regularly review the Fundraising Policy and associated policies.

Individual giving
- Build on and develop the current major donor strategy to secure long term support.
- Manage the EUYO’s membership and patron’s programmes with the support of the Communications Team.
- Manage existing donor membership schemes and increase membership year-on-year.
- Research and cultivate a pool of prospective individual donors in conjunction with the Executive and Artistic Director, Trustees and Directors and maintain close relationships with existing donors.
- Build on and develop an annual appeal for individual donors.
- Devise new ways of attracting donors using the EUYO’s website and social media channels, beneficiaries and alumni.
Corporate giving
- Develop a healthy prospect list of companies, both nationally and internationally.
- Develop corporate sponsorship and partnership proposals.
- Work with the Executive and Artistic Director, Fundraising Committee, Board and Advisory Council to cultivate and steward corporate partners.
- Explore the potential of corporate membership and, if implemented, administer and service the Corporate Membership Scheme, maintaining close relationships with the members’ nominated contacts, circulating information, and ensuring that members enjoy the full extent of the benefits.
- Ensure all corporate partners and sponsors receive appropriate reports as required and in a timely manner.
Trusts and foundations
- Develop a pipeline of trusts and foundation prospects, working with the Executive and Artistic Director and the Head of Executive and Finance to develop appropriate resource for this new pipeline of prospects where necessary.
- Research and apply for funding from trusts and foundations.
- Work with the EUYO colleagues to measure impact and outputs from grant funding.

Profile

Join our team as a Senior Campaigns Adviser (Digital) and lead the production of our campaigning communications and actions, with particular focus on impactful digital campaigns. You'll be at the forefront of driving positive change for people with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) by helping our supporters to influence politicians and decision makers.
In this role, you will work with the National Campaigns Manager to plan, develop, deliver, and evaluate our digital campaigns across England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. Your innovative approach will help grow our base of digital supporters and create engaging online and offline campaigning tools.
Working closely with our Policy and Campaigns team, you'll ensure our campaigns are backed by solid evidence and clear policy objectives. You will manage our social media channels, creating original content that resonates with our audience, and ensuring our campaigns are consistently engaging and effective.

What are we looking for?
A dedicated professional with a good understanding of health, social services, and welfare. You will have a good understanding of political decision-making processes at both national and local levels.
With experience in a campaigns environment in the third or public sector, you will have a proven track record in developing, planning, and delivering successful campaigns, with expertise in creating campaign materials and using e-campaigning software like Engaging Networks.
As a successful candidate, you will be outcome-focused, with strong reporting and negotiating skills. You should be able to manage your workload effectively and demonstrate good IT skills including experience with Microsoft Office.
A willingness to work flexibly, including some evenings and weekends, is required. Regular travel within the UK, including overnight stays, is also necessary.

The CEO will report directly to our trustees, growing our small and dynamic global team, driving Stema forwards by expanding and diversifying our funding sources, and developing innovative research and products.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our organisation, with:

About Stema:
Stema is a small Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) founded to advance the education of the public in the field of global health. Our research centres upon community health, positive health, participatory methods and agentic approaches. Our mission is to catalyse positive disruptions in the field of global health through publishing research and developing tools and partnerships. We are a small, international team of academics, entrepreneurs and development professionals.
Our focus over the last year has been developing alternative approaches to community health and sustainable development, leading to the development of the concept of community positive health and creation of an index to measure community positive health. Our approach is informed by extensive participatory fieldwork in low-resource settings around the world, for example Kenya, Peru and Sierra Leone. Our work is supported by rigorous scientific research in partnership with leading academic institutions, NGOs and in-country research institutions, for example University College London, Oregon State University, and Safe Water and Aids Project.
Stema has been backed by a single funding source to date. We are now looking to expand and diversify our revenue streams, providing an exciting opportunity for the CEO to develop and implement a sustainable fundraising strategy. We envisage that: (i) fundraising and (ii) the potential development and commercialisation of tools and technologies linked to our research may be pathways towards a sustainable business model that is consistent with our charitable objectives - but the ultimate strategy will be formed by the CEO.
As part of a fundraising strategy, the successful candidate will develop impact metrics that communicate the value of Stema’s work to potential donors - for example, by tying our impact to the Sustainable Development Goals, which will be familiar to funders. We might communicate our impact in relation to the following goals, but the successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape, adapt and refine these goals.
