About the role:

We are looking for an organised and proactive Project Administrator to join our team. You will provide essential administrative support to the Project Lead. Primarily focused on East Cheshire NHS Trust, you will assist in the running of our volunteer management contracts by recruiting and liaising with volunteers and other relevant stakeholders, coordinating day to day cover of volunteers and supporting with volunteer events.

What we are looking for:

This role is suited to someone who is looking for an opportunity to develop new, or re-hone previously obtained, skills with a view to expanding within post. You might be seeking to re-enter the workforce following some time away for any number of reasons, so your previous work experience is less important to us than your current commitment and approach to the job.

This role is currently designed to be task oriented, allowing the post holder to learn on the go; but there is room to develop if wanted. A number of different skills might be helpful for the post holder, including strong organisational approach, a willingness to learn, good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to be self motivated.

We know that our staff team is better when it reflects the communities we seek to serve. We are particularly keen to speak with candidates who might not currently see themselves as part of our make-up. Key Responsibilities:

An exciting opportunity to join Spitalfields Crypt Trust (SCT), a vibrant East London charity dedicated to supporting individuals affected by homelessness and addiction. This role is crucial in providing personalised support and interventions for those experiencing homelessness and addiction issues, and to create a safe environment that empowers residents to make positive changes in their lives.

Role Overview:

Housing and Service Delivery

• Provide strong and effective support to residents in Acorn House that focuses on their strengths and goals, and is delivered in a personalised way and within a framework of active engagement and co-production
• Developing and reviewing support plans that reflect the interests and aspirations of residents
• Induct new residents in line with the service’s policies and procedures and support them to
  continue in their journey towards recovery from addiction
• Carry out assessments of those referred to Acorn House, and induct new residents
• Ensure the fundamental needs of residents are met including good quality accommodation and facilities, healthy food, advice and guidance around benefits, and alcohol and drug testing (to help maintain an abstinent environment)
• Deal with the immediate support needs of residents as appropriate, providing crisis intervention where necessary
• Support residents in addressing physical and mental health issues, including liaison with primary and secondary health teams
• Ensure residents are supported through court or welfare rulings (if necessary)
• Ensure effective and compliant administration of resident data using a bespoke Salesforce- based platform (In-Form)
• Ensure Housing Benefit and Services Charges are collected and managed effectively
• Monitor resident’s physical and mental health, ensuring appropriate support is provided
• Be flexible and responsive at all times to meet the changing needs of the service and the service users and ensuring high quality support is provided.
• Ensure each resident’s support plan is written, monitored and reviewed as appropriate to reflect their changing needs.
• Ensure residents progress and engage with other SCT programmes (when required)
• Ensure conditions and requirements relating to any contracts or management agreements are applied throughout SCT’s services
• Work effectively as part of a team, attending team/ staff meetings and making a positive contribution to the development of the team and wider SCT services
• Effectively control and manage financial records appropriate to the duties of the post (petty cash/rent)

Operational Support

• Comply with Health and Safety, including but not limited to any fire maintenance, risk assessments and complete room checks and raise any risks to the Supported Housing Manager
• Ensure equipment of all applicable facilities is in good working order
• To provide an on-call/out-of-hours service when required
• Carry out other duties as may reasonably be required

Special Conditions

• This post requires the holder to work varying shifts between 08.00 am and 8.00 pm and participation in the call rota system (for which an additional allowance is paid)
• The post-holder is required to work weekends as part of a rota and Bank Holidays when required
• On occasions you may be requested to change your rota to ensure the requirements of the service are covered
• In accordance with the guidelines on Health and Safety, to accept responsibility for working within these guidelines and reporting any concerns to the Supported Housing Manager

2nd Line IT Support Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

The role of the 2nd Line IT Support Engineer will involve working as part of a team providing 1st and 2nd line remote and on-site support to the services across London and a site in Berkshire. The ideal candidate for the 2nd Line IT Support Engineer role will have at least 3-6 years of experience in Windows Server and Desktop focused IT support. The position will be responsible for resolving day-to-day IT issues, maintaining, monitoring and troubleshooting a range of software and equipment across our network. . You will have strong expertise and the ability to provide rapid solutions and working flexibly in resolving and further investigating possible escalations. 

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Managing and maintaining computer hardware and software issues from logging to resolution, to ensure high levels of availability of the supported business  applications.
2. Liaising internally and externally with technical support companies and suppliers and working alongside the IT Manager and Application Support team, the role of 2nd Line IT Support Engineer will involve the following tasks:
3. Using the Helpdesk ticket logging system to facilitate Desktop/Remote Support.
4. Liaising with Support Companies to get issues fixed.
5. Configuring, installing and supporting any client hardware and software.
6. Configuring, installing and supporting mobile devices and internal phone systems.
7. Assisting with new user desk setups, desk moves and associated cabling.
8. Processing new and leaver’s accounts.
9. Maintaining Asset register of all IT equipment.
10. Managing, assessing, and reporting on project activities to meet deadlines.
11. Focus on solving customer’s problems, striving to understand their needs.
12. Be aware of the key IT and cyber risks, proactively operating to minimise these risks within the remit of the role, acting quickly to notify of any potential or  identified IT risks through the appropriate incidents and escalations process
13. Maintaining end-user computing solutions including physical desktops, mobile devices (laptops, tablets, smart phones), printers, and end-device security including remote access technologies.

Voluntary Action LeicesterShire (VAL) helps people in local communities to change their lives for the better, through direct service delivery and by supporting the local voluntary and community sector.

The Building up Individuals for Life and Development (BUILD) Project partnership is funded to provide comprehensive support packages for individuals aged 19 and over. BUILD will work across rural Leicestershire cluster areas identified by our extensive knowledge of and engagement with areas where there are gaps in community based services. The Project will work with those who are disengaged, feel socially excluded and face multiple barriers, offering a varied, supportive and bespoke skills and personal development approach.

This role will play a crucial role in supporting participants. You will identify project participants and conduct person-centred assessments with them. You will be responsible for creating strength-based personal development plans as well as providing ongoing support and guidance in order to help the participants grow in confidence, build skills and gain control of their lives. Your role will work to increase participation in volunteering and advice on selfemployment and  entrepreneurship, building networks to share best practice through shared learning.

You will be expected to collaborate with our experienced partners Rural Community Council (RCC) who work to improve wellbeing, increase resilience and tackle  disadvantage across rural areas and CASE who work to promote social enterprise and rural community development. You will make a tangible impact on individuals’ lives and local communities, fostering sustainable change.

Applicants will need to demonstrate a passion for and experience in supporting individuals to identify and achieve personal goals combined with an established understanding of barriers preventing individuals from accessing support. Proven skills in engaging and motivating individuals (both face to face and remotely), networking to achieve outcomes and an ability to develop high quality information and resources are also necessary.

Experience of delivering work readiness workshops to groups and tailored individual interventions in support of personal skills development would be a great advantage. The role requires confident communicators with experience track in providing impactful support and training, working in diverse communities across the County.

You will have a proactive and dynamic approach, excellent organisation skills, a keen eye for detail combined with the ability to process detailed information, manage relationships, prioritise and multitask. The project team will work to KPI’s, so flexibility and a “can do” attitude are a must.

Age UK Islington is developing a new befriending service in the coming months. As part of this development, we have an exciting opportunity for a part-time role as a Befriending Coordinator.

This will involve supporting all aspects of service development, partnership building, volunteer recruitment, training and management and matching volunteers to clients for home visits, telephone befriending and/or activity-based befriending. The post holder will also be responsible for case recording, monitoring and service evaluation.

The role is for 15 hours per week; this may increase to 21 hours per week dependant on the success of future funding applications. There is flexibility around when you work these hours.

About this exciting opportunity
Working as part of a multi-agency team, you will provide person-centred support to a caseload of service users who will either be serving community sentences or being released from prison. You will undertake assessment and action planning with individual service users, create a safe and trusting environment, using trauma-informed practice to successfully facilitate a supportive and constructive relationship with service users, plus deliver a range of interventions to service users which contribute towards achievement of prescribed outcomes.

We will also count on you to develop and maintain positive working relationships with external agencies, including probation, prisons, partners, and others who will assist in achieving prescribed outcomes for service users, ensuring you work towards contractual targets and outcomes within agreed timescales.  Using agreed CRM databases and recording all activity relating to caseload and providing updates and reports are also key duties. 

What we are looking for

• Experience working with partner agencies either as part of a multi-agency team working towards common objectives or negotiating to establish links to further the aims of a project
• L3 in Advice and Guidance or equivalent
• The ability to assess clients’ needs and provide tailored, client-led support through action planning and interventions involving advice, guidance, advocacy, and coaching
• An ability to work sensitively with clients applying trauma-informed strategies
• Impressive IT, relationship-building and communication skills, both verbal and written.

About the role

As Assistant Shop Manager, you will play a key role in managing everyday operations to deliver an outstanding customer experience. You will be involved in volunteer recruitment and management as well as processing donations, engaging with the community, and delivering the highest standard of customer service through your team. You will work towards ambitious targets, including leading on creative initiatives to drive sales and community engagement maximising the impact on our mission to end homelessness.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference and deliver positive social impact in the local community while also raising money to fund Crisis’ work ending homelessness.

This is a permanent role. You will be primarily based in one shop within London Zones 1-2; location will be agreed at the time of a job offer. You may also be required to travel to other shops within London on a short-term basis.

To be successful in this role you will have retail experience at a supervisory level alongside a genuine interest in charity retail. You will be seeking a challenge that stands out from other retail roles and will be keen to build your people management skills including working with Crisis members. About this key role

Our successful candidate will monitor and manage the receipt of referrals from Probation through the Customer Approved System (CAS) ensuring they are successfully assigned to Personal Wellbeing Coaches using the appropriate guidance and process, ensure all inputting is accurate and within agreed timescales, plus provide regular activity reports to the Personal Wellbeing Manager.  You will be the primary point of contact for all enquiries, external and internal to ensure communication channels are clear and effective, while also liaising with external stakeholders (e.g. Prisons), delivery partners, spot purchase providers and other agencies to arrange appointments, referrals, and generally ensure information exchanged is done in a clear, timely and effective manner.

Developing and maintaining an Estates log and diary to ensure the team always have an approved site to meet service users in mandated locations when needed and providing administration for meetings, including bookings, invitations and minute-taking, are also vital duties.

• Experience of managing Customer Relationship Management systems, including inputting data and creating reports
• An understanding of the barriers faced by people with complex and multiple needs
• Knowledge of Trauma Informed practice and how to apply it in supporting service users

CVS Brent is looking to recruit its next Chief Executive Officer to lead the organisation and manage the implementation of programmes that enhance the capacity of voluntary and community organisations in the borough of Brent.

The incoming CEO will play a crucial role in leading CVS Brent through a pivotal transition period with a focus on stabilising the organisation and laying the groundwork for meaningful organisational change. CVS Brent is a dynamic and independent charity dedicated to supporting the diverse and vibrant voluntary sector in Brent. You will report to the UK Programme Director and work closely with the UK Programme Manager and Acumen Academy's global community & marketing teams.

• Build & manage relationships with UK Fellows to understand their needs and inform our support strategy

• Design & deliver engagement and communications initiatives e.g. Fellows newsletters, regular and tailored touch-points

As an Employment Coach with our Employcare Project you will be supporting unpaid carers living in Manchester; providing support and coaching in order for them to re-enter paid employment or voluntary roles.  The successful candidates will manage a small caseload of carers and provide them with 1:1 support, helping them overcome barriers to employment and training.  You will be responsible for supporting them through every stage of their journey, enabling participants to address their barriers and realise their aspirations.

This role is subject to a Basic DBS check.

Repton Community Trust is an innovative and growing enterprise. Our vision is to ‘Put the Heart in Communities’. We are a leading provider of projects to address food insecurity in the area. Since our launch over six years ago we have built strong and deep relationships across Ashford and more recently have grown some services into East Sussex. 

We are looking for an inspirational person to lead our established team of staff and volunteers, to springboard from the amazing foundations already in place and take Repton Community Trust on the next stage of its successful journey.

Our successful candidate will be highly motivated, passionate about working with communities and equally comfortable negotiating with senior stakeholders as rolling up their sleeves and running community events. They will have a proven track record in securing grant funding from a range of sources and managing the high-quality delivery of multiple grant funded programmes.

Who are Repton Community Trust

·Our thriving community centre has had more than 100,000 visitors since we opened in 2018.

·We opened Kent’s first community fridge in 2019.

·Our innovative Peoples Pantry and 24-hour food lockers supported thousands of people during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020/21.

·We opened our first community shop (social supermarket) in 2022.

·We expanded our services to include a mobile shop reaching rural communities in Ashford and Rural Rother in 2023.

·We rescue on average 0.75 tonnes of food per month in 2024.
