About the role 
 

We are seeking a PR and Communications Manager to join our ambitious team. We know that incredible work goes on behind the scenes at Smart Works, and that what we do meaningfully helps to change the lives of thousands of women every year. But we need you to help us shout from the rooftops about our service and impact, actively seeking media opportunities and press coverage, to increase our public profile. Your work will make a real difference – spreading the Smart Works message not only to the women we exist to support, but fundraisers, referral partners, volunteers and the public too.  

Duties and responsibilities

1. You will amplify and lead existing integrated campaigns, including the Smart Works Unemployment Index, International Women’s Day and International Day of the Girl. With the support of the Digital Marketing Manager, Graphic Design Manager and Digital Communications Manager, you’ll ensure our campaigns are widely noticed and talked about, in the press, online and local community.
2. You will develop and manage media opportunities (proactive and reactive), including owning our press office, writing and distributing press releases, building relationships with journalists, tracking coverage, and briefing spokespeople. 
3. You will lead and develop our Client Champions programme and case studies, ensuring the client remains central to the charity’s external voice, proactively seeking opportunities to tell their stories to encourage support/donations from external communities, and managing any nationwide communication moments/events.
4. You will support our engagement with Patrons and Ambassadors, managing relationships where appropriate and seeking new advocates who can authentically help tell our story, to reach more people. 
5. You will lead the coordination of our internal communications calendar and reporting, working with internal stakeholders across Partnerships, Operations and our local centres to ensure that key moments are recognised, with support at a national level where appropriate.
6. You will support with other team tasks, such as social media scheduling and content creation.

The successful candidate will report to our Director of Communications and Marketing. The role has no line management responsibility but will work closely with colleagues – including our Digital Marketing Manager, Digital Communications Manager and Graphic Design Manager – so you should be used to collaborating with others, in a dynamic environment.

• Demonstrable success in securing media coverage, developing and delivering PR plans, managing relationships, and working with ambassadors.

• Ability to craft compelling stories, press releases and pitches.
• Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

The NSPCC is delivering our Letting the Future In service within The Lighthouse in Camden, the UK’s first Child House. Main duties and responsibilities

·Provide direct services (on an individual or group work basis) for children, their families, carers and adults maintaining professional practice standards as outlined in legislation, guidance and consistent with NSPCC practice standards and guidance. 

·Hold case accountability for a number of cases most of which will be complex, ensuring all safeguarding practice and case recording conforms to NSPCC practice standards and guidance. Provide professional advice to internal and external enquires.

·Liaise and work positively with partner agencies and respectfully challenge where necessary in order to promote the best interest of children.

1. A recognised social work qualification and registration with the relevant social care county within the UK.

We are recruiting for an enthusiastic, motivated and committed Team Manager, with extensive experience of working with adults with a learning disability/autism and complex needs to join Outward.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager wanting to further utilise their skills in coaching and mentoring the staff team, and embedding high standards in the running of the service. You will be managing our Autism Outreach Service that provides support to people in seven London Boroughs, and who live at home with family or in supported living services. Therefore, the ability to promote positive working relationships with family and stakeholders is essential to this role. You will be responsible for managing and motivating your staff team to provide creative and flexible services that makes a positive difference to the lives of those we support, and enables them to thrive and enjoy a good quality of life as active and valued members of their community.

Outward’s autism outreach service has a strong reputation across North East London, where we support people to live the lives they choose to lead and to improve their quality of life. You will be supported by two deputy managers to lead a large team of community outreach support workers, to ensure a high standard of quality support to the people we support.

About the role

About You

At Great Western Air Ambulance Charity, we’re going big on charity retail. We already have nine shops located in Westbury-on-Trym, Yate, Cheltenham, Gloucester, Cinderford, Bath, Thornbury and Keynsham but plan to open up to four new shops a year over the next five years, giving our charity a physical presence in the heart of communities we have served since 2007. Our Portishead shop is one of our next to open so this is a superb opportunity.

The shops will sell a variety of goods, as well as being a hub for our charity activity locally. Our shops need to perform well financially to help fund our lifesaving service, but we also want them to be a place where everyone feels welcome, the local community can learn life-saving skills and former patients or supporters can pop in for a chat.

Do you have a strong track record in successful fundraising and want to make a real difference for people living with HIV? 

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Fundraising Manager to lead, develop and implement our fundraising strategy. This is an exciting time to join Brigstowe as we aim to build on the fundraising growth and development from recent years and move our income generation to the next level. 

Your role 

Your key purpose will be to grow our income from a range of sources, with a key focus on trusts and foundations. This is a senior role within Brigstowe and you will be leading fundraising, able to quickly gather the information you need to make successful applications and work with service leads as required to exceed funder expectations.

You will be responsible for managing relationships with funders and donors, delivering excellent supporter stewardship and building on successful corporate and community fundraising.

You will be an excellent communicator and relationship manager with a strong track record in securing both large and small grants. You will be passionate about great supporter experience and have successfully grown and developed income streams.

HOW TO APPLY:   

• Ensuring that all requests and 1st & 2nd level queries (phone, email and in-person) are responded to promptly and effectively including providing tours of the Centre to prospective members.
• Interacting with members on a daily basis, delivering a superb experience
• Full responsibly for bookings & payments for all Classes, Clubs, activities, services, membership fees, etc. on the online system the Centre uses (training will be provided)
• Promoting all membership, classes, clubs, activities, special events and services with respective prices and availability to members and visitors
• Processing applications for membership and volunteers as per the Centre’s process.
• Managing drop-in activities which take place weekdays from 9 am to 12 noon. 
• Organising room setup requirements for activities, especially classes, meetings and events
• Maintaining the professional appearance of the office at all times, including ensuring front office filing systems are maintained and up to date
• Training and managing volunteers supporting the front office, Front Office Assistants, ensuring they are aware of their responsibilities and performing to a high standard
• Responsible to making sure members renew on time and membership renewal is up to date.
• Responsible for maintaining all notice boards in the Centre and keeping them up to date with correct posters and announcements.
• Receive and help with various deliveries ensuring everything is received properly and is kept in its correct place.
• Maintaining the activities list, class and clubs registers and the login/out ledger and visitors log for all members, visitors and volunteers.
• Making sure the relevant Health and Safety requirements and other obligations are being met and correctly observed
• Reporting any maintenance issues quickly and clearly to the Community Manager
• Overseeing and ensuring that all administrative processes are carried out in line with the Centre’s policy
• Opening the Centre in the mornings and possibly closing in the afternoon.
• Reconciling money received on a daily basis reporting this to the General Centre Manager
• You might be required to attend/support events out of working hours including weekends. You will receive time off in lieu for any hours you work over your contractual hours

What you need to have?

• Excellent knowledge and understanding of IT systems including MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
• Strong organisational skills & ability to multi-task
• Experience of working in a similar role and environment
• Able to demonstrate your ability to provide high quality customer service
• Good numeracy and literacy skills and an eye for detail and accuracy
• Self-motivated and able to work under pressure and on your own initiative without ongoing direct supervision

This is a new role for NST, building on the work developed through our ‘Get Connect, Stay Well’ project currently funded through the ‘Getting Help in Neighbourhoods’ programme.

Main responsibilities and duties

To:

1. Coordinate and develop a wellbeing programme that supports the mental health and wellbeing of NST service users and the wider Braunstone community of LE3 1.

2. Support individual service user wellbeing by referring into activity delivered by NST and other local community partners.

3. Undertake regular wellbeing check-ins with service users to monitor progress and impact of engagement with wellbeing activity.

4. Update the company’s CRM system with participant information in line with GDPR and record progress and impact.

5. Develop, implement and maintain effective monitoring and recording systems: capturing and recording data to demonstrate the programme reach, providing reports and other information as required.

6. Support the Service Manager to maintain accurate budgets and financial records especially for monitoring funding grant returns.

7. Support the Service Manager in the development of funding bids to support delivery and expansion of the wellbeing programme.

8. Build and maintain partnerships which will support the development of wellbeing programmes.

9. Source, arrange and co-ordinate facilitators and practitioners suitable to deliver any planned activity.

10.  Ensure that adequate risk assessments are undertaken prior to any activities and that confidentiality and safeguarding protocols are followed.

11.  Support the Communications and Project Support Worker to promote the programme by developing copy and marketing material for circulation on the various company social media platforms and website.

12.  Support the supervision of activities, including the staff and volunteers where applicable.

13.  Represent and champion the services provided by NST as required at external events and meetings.

14.  Work in partnership with the Wellbeing Facilitator to ensure that the over 50s programme is developed and delivered in line with the overarching wellbeing programme.

15.  Work in partnership with the Training Support Worker to ensure the Men’s Group is delivered in line with the overarching wellbeing programme.

General Duties:

16.  Attend and participate in team meetings, training and events that ensure the effective sharing of information and co-ordination the team’s activities.

17.  Undertake administrative and maintenance duties that assist in the smooth running of the NS base. This will include taking collective responsibility in relation to matters of health and safety, equipment maintenance, data protection and confidentiality management; and visitor service and care.

18.  Ensure that all NST activities are undertaken in line with the legal requirements and b inspired policy, procedures and good practice. This includes the production of risk assessments and other data that can demonstrate effective and safe planning.

19.  Undertake consultations in-line with the Neighbourhood Action Plan and work alongside other members of the NST to gather, collate and analyse information that inform perceived local need/s.

20.  Work outside normal office hours and at weekends as and when required.

21.  To ensure promotion and implementation of The Braunstone Foundation’s policies in relation to Equalities; to ensure that buildings, equipment and facilities are managed in a safe and effective way in line with Health and safety requirements.

22.  To carry out work in such a way as to promote The Braunstone Foundations aims objectives and agreed policies.
