We seek a highly-skilled social care professional to join the senior team of our leading local charity, who will provide high-quality support to family carers of adults with a learning disability and/or autism in the London Borough of Merton.

Could this be you?

You will conduct Carers Assessments in which you identify the needs of carers to determine the support they require, which may include financial support, respite care for the person they care for, and practical assistance.  You will form Support Plans with carers which show the ways in which support will be provided to improve their health and wellbeing, and help them in their caring role, and you will assist carers to access appropriate support.  Your periodic reviews with carers will monitor the effectiveness of Support Plans to ensure carers continue to receive the help they need. 

You will work closely with colleagues, the charity’s partners and other organisations to coordinate care and support for carers, facilitating introductions with other care providers and ensuring carers receive information to help them in their caring role.  Key to your work is ensuring services ‘join-up’ so that coordinated, highly professional support is provided to carers.

You will maintain a record of your work by using our databases which you will use to produce quarterly reports and case studies demonstrating the impact of your work.

This role is an important feature of the charity’s strategic offer for family carers.  You will join our senior team dedicated to providing the highest quality care, and you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to the wider work of the charity such as by attending our frequent events, workshops and social events for carers.

This role is a hybrid position - duties can be undertaken from home, from our offices in Morden, and by conducting home-visits with carers by appointment.

You’ll be delivering high quality information and support to those looking to enter a blood cancer clinical trial. Working alongside a team of specialist nurses, you’ll be giving patients and their loved ones the knowledge and confidence to better understand and potentially access clinical trials, together with the time and space so often not available from their clinical team given the extensive pressures of the NHS.

Purpose of the role

This role is an integral part of an ambitious programme to empower and train up the country’s school kitchen workforce through our School Chef Educator Programme, a hybrid course set over 10 weeks, including in-person sessions, webinars and self-guided e-learning on our learning platform. Your role will be to deliver the School Chef Educator Programme both in-person and online to school kitchen workforces across the country, helping to inspire them to achieve higher levels of knowledge and standards of food quality.

• Lead on the organisation and delivery of in-person and online training sessions to enrolled participants of the School Chef Educator Programme at a variety of locations

• Assist in the maintenance of the online database of participants, schools and funder information

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the People function with strategic and operational oversight of all HR activities, aligning with organisational goals and values.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on staff development plans and lead and measure staff engagement and support broader cultural development efforts.
• Partner with managers across the organisation to develop their skills and ensure consistency in approach.

• Manage and support the development of the HR Officer.

• CIPD Level 7 qualified, or demonstrable equivalent experience including experience in a senior HR role.

Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity are hiring for a Senior Fundraising Executive to join our Hospital Engagement team. This position is based in the hospital for 3 days per week, with the remaining time spent working from home.

As a Senior Executive, your main focus is to build relationships and connections within the hospital in order to increase the Charity’s visibility, drive income growth and referrals from patient families, visitors and hospital staff.

Salary

The salary for this position is £35,051 per annum. 

Key Responsibilities

This is a varied role where you will:

• Engage and develop strong working relationships with hospital staff members.
• Roll out a patient family fundraising training programme, delivering training to staff groups, identifying fundraising champions within the hospital and increase patient family referrals. 
• Collaborate with the Hospital Engagement team to recruit and relationship manage hospital staff in our Charity Champions Programme. 
• Collaborate across the charity with our Grants, Brand Marketing and Communications team to coordinate charity family activity and implement a hospital engagement and communications plan. 

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

This role is focused on relationship building and influencing and we’re looking for someone with:

• Experience working with the public in a customer facing role. 
• Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders of all levels of seniority. 
• Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence. (you will need to be comfortable working with patient families in a hospital environment). 
• Confident delivering presentations and training.
• Experience working with or managing volunteers.

Whilst you’ll be an employee of the Charity, this role requires you to be onsite at the hospital for 3 days per week (with the rest of the time spent working remotely).

The hospital is a large site and you’ll be physically attending different department meetings, organising events, and hosting events (ensuring branded stock is available, moving boxes, helping with event set up). 

About the Team 

This role sits within the Hospital Engagement function within the Community team, whose purpose is to drive the charity’s presence within the hospital to build key relationships and increase income from patient families and hospital staff.

This is a role with regular hospital contact and appointment to the role will require the individual to meet any hospital access requirements which may change over time.

We're Hiring: Advocates - London Stalking Support Service, Stalking Threat Assessment Centre and National Advocacy
In partnership with MOPAC, this specialist role is your chance to support victims of stalking with expert advice and advocacy for London, all while hlping to shape a trauma-informed, survivor-led approach that leads the sector.  The Stalking Threat Assessment centre is a multi-agency partnership involving the Metropolitan Police, NHS mental health services and Probation services to effectively manage stalking perpetrators and support victims.  Advocates within this team are co-located within the STAC unit, minimum one day a week.

About the role:

We are looking for an experienced Nurse Specialist to take on the important role of locality team leader in one of our localities.  This will involve both clinical and leadership skills.  There is a potential for this to be a development role for an experienced Specialist Nurse wishing to move in to leadership.

Working under the clinical leadership of the Associate Director of Patient Care and Communities, you will adopt a person-centered, coaching approach to the leadership of a locality team, fostering self-coaching, team working, self-awareness, personal growth and professional competence and development. The role has responsibilities for line management of the multi professional locality team and also deputises when needed.

The role compliments an additional 2 locality leads who work closely together as a peer group across the whole service. This is an exciting role for someone who wants to blend their clinical care, skills and knowledge with clinical and professional leadership.  A minimum of 60% of time will be spent in direct clinical care.

You will ensure clinical practice is reflective of current developments in Specialist Palliative Care and End of Life Care. You will also promote a learning and continuous improvement environment and participate in the development and delivery of educational programs, research and audit

You will be motivated, have excellent communication skills and clear leadership capabilities.

You should have a relevant degree or diploma and it’s essential that you have Palliative care or oncology and community experience.
