Development Media International (DMI) delivers media campaigns aimed at changing behaviours, promoting health and saving lives in developing countries. Job description
Following a restructure, DMI is looking to recruit a Grants Management Officer. This new role will provide a critical link between DMI’s national teams, HQ staff, and donors. It is an ideal role for somebody wanting to work in international development / public health as you will be exposed to a broad range of tasks and will work across all of DMI’s projects. You will also have exposure to DMI’s Africa Leadership Group, a new committee that aims to exploit the knowledge and experience of our national leadership. To succeed, you will need to be well-organised and a highly proficient writer (in English). You will also need to have the confidence and interpersonal skills to liaise independently with senior staff in the UK and in DMI’s national offices.
More specifically, the Grant Management Officer role will include the following responsibilities:
- Under the direction of the Head of Operations, collating, revising, and submitting project reports to donors and other stakeholders. This will require regular collaboration with DMI’s national teams (who will typically draft the reports) and other staff at DMI HQ
- Assisting with the effective and efficient implementation of procurement processes across the organisation, ensuring that goods and services are acquired in accordance with DMI’s and donor’s requirements
- Assisting national teams, and relevant staff at DMI HQ, in ensuring that project activities are in compliance with donor guidelines, contractual obligations, and any relevant statutory or legal constraints
- Ensuring DMI maintains thorough and consistent project documentation
- Helping to ensure effective collaboration between departments at HQ to support project execution by DMI’s national teams
- More general operational support across DMI, this will include routine tasks such as contributing to policy and process reviews, risk management and security, and asset management, as well as ad hoc tasks as required
- Organising and attending in-person convenings of DMI’s Africa Leadership Group, anticipated to take place every 12 months. These are expected to be held outside the UK

Person specification
Required knowledge, skills and experience
- A good degree in a relevant field (international development/relations, public health, social sciences etc), or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong interpersonal and, particularly, written communication skills in English, capable of engaging convincingly and professionally with staff at all levels internally as well as with external stakeholders.
- Well organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Highly proficient IT skills. Competence in routine office applications is essential, experience with relevant specialist software (project management, GIS etc) an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving ability, willing and able to present solutions to operational challenges as well as the challenges themselves.
- The ability to understand different cultural contexts, especially those in sub-Saharan Africa.
- Permission to live and work in the UK.
Desirable knowledge, skills and experience
- Language skills in Portuguese or French.
- Experience of working/volunteering in developing countries, for an NGO, or in international development.
- Knowledge and experience working within global health and/or mass media environments.

Democracy Classroom pools the collective support of the sector through the Democracy Classroom platform, where teachers and youth workers can access the collective support of the membership.
Following the recent General Election, the network has experienced growth and is now preparing to support upcoming elections, votes at 16 and new developments such as changes to democratic education and the curriculum review. The network is non-partisan and works across all 4 nations in the UK.
The aims of the network include:
Increasing the number of young people engaging with democracy and elections.
Increasing the number of teachers and youth workers delivering democratic education, and strengthening their capacity to deliver impactful democratic engagement and voter registration activities in schools, colleges and youth settings across the UK.
Improving coordination between organisations engaging young people across the youth, education and democracy sectors, through growing the Democracy Classroom network.
ABOUT THE ROLE
To achieve the above, the post holder will:
- Support, build and manage relationships with over 100 civil society partner organisations.
- Manage the day-to-day running of the network, including the network's communications and databases.
- Coordinate the sharing of learning materials, working with teachers and youth workers to organise, map and curate content that supports democratic and election education.
- Oversee the Democracy Classroom website / platform.
- Train and support teachers and youth workers to deliver democratic education materials.
- Oversee our #ElectionCountdown programme during UK local, devolved and national elections and the associated comms campaigns.
- Line manage the Democracy Classroom programme coordinator and manage relationships with freelance teachers, youth workers and designers.
- Oversee evaluation and monitoring, producing reports where required.
The job is a fixed term 12-month contract (including a 6-month probation period), with possible extension depending on the electoral calendar.
The Politics Project is based in London, and the post holder will be expected to work from the office at least two days a week. The hours of work are 37.5 hrs per week. Occasional travel to elsewhere in the UK and working unsocial hours in evenings and at weekends may be required. This is a fast-paced role in a small but growing team.

We are looking for a new member to join our legacy and in-memory team, within its Individual Giving department. This role will help to manage and test legacy marketing campaigns with the aim to grow the size of the charity’s legacy Enquirer and Considerer base using various channels such as social media, direct mail and telemarketing. This role will also work on recruiting enquiries about the charity’s Pet Promise scheme and recruit new in-memory and tribute fund supporters. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, able to deliver campaigns on time and within budget. As a CRM Project Data Lead, you will support the successful migration of data to our new Dynamics 365 platform on a 9-month Fixed Term Contract. In this role, you'll collaborate with internal teams and external delivery partners to ensure a smooth and accurate transfer of data.
Your key responsibility will be leading the data migration process, from mapping and cleaning data, to ensuring it aligns with our new CRM structure. You'll work closely with our delivery partner to transform data from Raiser's Edge into Dynamics 365, ensuring all data is correctly mapped and validated before migration. Part of your role will involve minimising disruptions during any downtime and advising on potential risks or training gaps that may arise throughout the project.
You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of the migrated data, checking for losses, inaccuracies, or duplications, and developing a robust recovery plan for the migration process. You will also work alongside our delivery partner to carry out thorough testing and validation to ensure the data transfer is accurate and meets the needs of the organisation.
Additionally, you'll support the documentation of data structures and migration processes, keeping stakeholders informed of any data changes or updates. Working closely with the senior leadership team, you will provide advice to guide data-led decision-making throughout the project.
This role also involves supporting team training on data standards and the use of Dynamics 365, helping the organisation transition to the new system smoothly.

What are we looking for?
Experience within a Data Lead or Data Manager role and a strong background in CRM migration projects, ideally involving Microsoft Dynamics CRM. About the role
This role is community-based and focuses on engaging kinship carers, bringing them together to form Peer Support Groups, and supporting them to achieve independence at which point they will receive ongoing support from our national Hub.

It builds on Kinship’s 10 years of experience in developing peer support groups and two years of delivering a national service that has set up 145 new groups.
Who we are looking for
We are seeking an individual located in Greater London, who possesses the drive, passion, and skills to:
- Develop new Peer Support Groups across a diverse range of communities
- Demonstrate the energy and enthusiasm required to achieve key targets and objectives

We are ideally looking for candidates based in or around Greater London and willing to work initially across London Boroughs. This role may involve work to establish groups on the periphery of this area that currently have no dedicated Development staff.

- In-person (face-to-face) strategic outreach into local communities including setting up and attending local engagement events.

The Royal British Legion (RBL), the leading Armed Forces charity, is looking for an experienced marketing manager to join their Fundraising directorate and lead a brilliant team to develop and implement a range of supporter acquisition marketing programmes to achieve the growth ambitions of their Fundraising strategy.
RBL holds a special place in the hearts and minds of generations of people in society. As the largest military charity in the UK and home of the extraordinary Poppy Appeal it has provided support to members of the Armed Forces community for over 100 years. Today is no different. The needs of veterans, young and old, serving personal and their families are growing and complex. To support them the charity needs to raise awareness and donations.
The Supporter Acquisition team at RBL is responsible for all marketing to attract new supporters across a large portfolio of appeals/products and media. The charity is seeking a team leader who has significant expertise with a wide range of marketing channels and can really add value to large well-established programmes with their experience, knowledge and drive to continually improve, identify appropriate new opportunities and shape supporter acquisition programmes.
The role involves leading an experienced team of two managers and two co-ordinators, and leading relationships with key suppliers. The marketing programmes include most significantly face-to-face fundraising (from stands in retail space or expos/outdoor events and door-to-door) and DRTV advertising, plus some print campaigns, payroll giving and 3rd party marketing. The role will also manage development projects that could include aspects of digital fundraising. An important part of the role is developing advertising for the nation’s largest charity appeal, the Poppy Appeal each November.

The Fundraising team is dynamic, ambitious and focused on making things happen; playing a vital role in enabling the National Trust to deliver its purpose. Our team sits within the Support and Revenue Directorate, which brings together our supporter-facing income streams from Membership to Fundraising through to our Commercial teams.
Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon, and you will be expected to attend the office. However, there is flexibility on where you are based at other times. You will be required to work at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week. This will be discussed in more detail at interview.
Please aware that this role will involve some travel to work with National Trust colleagues and visit our projects & properties across the UK.
What you'll be doing
You'll be working in a small team developing new Curation & Experiences propositions and proposals for our high-value audiences, made up of Corporations, Major Donors, Grant Makers and Trusts & Foundations. You'll be supporting the Head of Proposition Development and working with core fundraising teams to enable fundraisers to develop propositions themselves. You will ensure your propositions algin with broader National Trust strategy, working with senior leaders to understand funding opportunities relevant to donor motivations.
You'll work with the existing audience insight team to understand opportunities for compelling propositions that are accurate, impactful and inspiring. You'll engage with project, programme and finance teams to embed propositions development in ways of working. You'll provide coaching and training to colleagues within fundraising and beyond, to help create a community of practice for colleagues working on propositions across the National Trust.

- Ability to interpret project budgets and work with project and Finance teams to build together packages of work that respond to donor motivations and are sized to the funding opportunity.
- Creative and innovative product/propositions development experience – spotting opportunities and crafting strong narratives.
- Creative writing skills – skilled storyteller, ability to make a story compelling, contagious and inspire action; strong editorial, copy writing and proof-reading skill.
- Ability to interpret complex content into engaging content and effective calls to action.
- Experience of building relationships across organisational boundaries, demonstrating tact and negotiating sensitively.
- Ability to coach and provide training for fundraisers and other National Trust colleagues to build proposition development capabilities across National Trust.
- Experience of developing and moderating workshops with internal colleagues to build creative funding packages and propositions.
- Experience of the UK Charity Sector, and in-depth knowledge and experience of fundraising with a proven understanding of donor motivations and interest.

We are now looking to appoint a Communications and Marketing Manager to develop, manage and lead our external communications and marketing programme, working to support the Head of External Affairs to broaden our reach and ensure that the DPH voice has impact.
