The British Dyslexia Association (BDA) is a charity that represents the voice of people living with dyslexia and dyscalculia. This is a key role within the organisation and will take on tutoring responsibilities for a caseload of students undertaking the BDA’s professional level 5/7 training. Being part of a team of tutors, you will be expected to input into the development and moderation of our current level 5/7 training programmes. You will also be expected to engage directly with students and be able to build an encouraging relationship that supports them through their training programme much of which is delivered via e-learning. You will assess work completed by students in a timely manner providing constructive and supportive feedback.
Key Responsibilities:
· Supporting the Course Leader in implementing the vision and strategy to achieve the objectives of the organisation.
· To participate in activities associated with the BDA’s Professional level 5/7 training services.
· To tutor a caseload of level 5/7 students and support them with the achievement of their professional training.
· To assess students’ work and participate in standardisation processes and internal moderation procedures.
· To complete documentation associated with logging student progress.
· To actively participate in activities that enable course development, across all accreditation levels.

About you
We are looking for an exceptional self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills who will be required to present and research topics with high attention to details and accuracy. The role holder should be educated to degree level with experience in project and process administration and delivering pieces of work to time, budget and standards agreed. Key Responsibilities:
- Champion and promote Lottery and Promotions products within the organisation and throughout our Lincolnshire community and beyond to support the Charity’s Trust-wide Organisational and Income Generation Strategies for 2024-2029 in order to drive growth.
- Identify and seize business development opportunities to promote the Hospice Lottery across Lincolnshire.
- Increase sales of Lottery and Promotions products, including lottery memberships and raffles.
- Understand supporter motivations and tailor Lottery and Promotions activities to meet their needs.
- Manage an income target of circa £700, 000 across Lottery and Promotions products.
- You will be the primary contact for Lottery and Promotions advice, guidance, and support to ensure that activity is delivered to the highest standard, and levels of confidentiality and is compliant with Gambling and Charity legislation, including the Gambling Act 2005, GDPR, Fundraising Code of Practice and Gambling Commission

It is an exciting time to join Helen & Douglas House as we embark on our new 3-year strategy, where a Coporate Partnerships Executive will support the growth of the Corporate Partnerships income. In this role you will be responsible for managing and developing your own relationships with corporate partners. You’ll have the opportunity to connect with local businesses who are passionate about supporting a local children’s hospice with the aim of supporting meaningful, long-term partnerships.
You will have autonomy to lead your own accounts, new business pipeline, and projects with guidance from the Corporate Partnerships Manager. Experience working in third sector corporate partnerships is desirable but not essential, there are many transferable skills from supporter stewardship and account management, for example, which will benefit this role.
This is a hybrid 0.8FTE (32 hours a week) role with an average of 2 days per week spent working in our office in Cowley, Oxford. The pay range for this role is £31,994 - £35,923 full-time equivalent per annum (£25,595 - £28,738 pro rata per annum), depending on skills and experience. We support young people to use their voice by providing them with outstanding democratic education. We work with young people, teachers and politicians to help them to learn, teach and engage in politics. We are a non-partisan organisation working across the UK. We are experts in supporting young people and politicians to engage through political contact.
We also coordinate the Democracy Classroom network, a partnership between over 100 civil society organisations that supports young people to engage in elections.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Office Manager would work with our small team of 7 staff by providing organisational and administrative support.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organisational skills, advanced proficiency in G-Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides), general bookkeeping skills and the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision. Experience of working with a database is a desirable skill.
The post holder will:
- Work with the Director and wider team to ensure efficient office operations.
- Implement and maintain procedures/office administrative systems.
- Manage office supplies and equipment.
- Manage databases. Check that data protection laws are being adhered to in relation to the storage of data, and review and update policies (training can be provided).
- Organise regular internal meetings and planning days.

- Book and arrange travel for staff.
- Process invoices and staff expenses.
- Managing office budgets.
- Order stationery and IT equipment.

The job is based on a 12 month fixed term contract (including a 6-month probation period), with opportunities for extension.
The Politics Project is based in London and the post holder will be expected to work from the office at least two days a week. The role is part time, 4 days a week. Key requirements
- Experience in a fundraising role, with a focus on Trusts and Foundations.

We are seeking a social researcher, with strong knowledge and expertise in child participation to contribute to all aspects of our work. The position will mainly involve taking a lead role in designing and implementing research studies, assessments, evaluations, mapping and situational analyses relating to children. We are particularly interested in the candidate having a background in participatory work with children. International travel to the range of countries in which Coram International works is an essential part of this role and will be for periods of between 1 to 3 weeks (per mission), up to a total of approximately 3 months per year.

The Director of Finance role presents an exciting opportunity to manage and create a finance team that will support the Anglican Communion, whilst also being a key member of the senior management team. You will lead and direct the Anglican Communion’s financial strategy and management, ensure commercial planning, delivery and evaluation in all areas of ACO activity, whilst also providing financial management and administration for two related charities: the Anglican Alliance and the Anglican Centre in Rome.

The role:
- Lead on the development and execution of financial strategy, financial planning, budgeting and cost control for the ACO and related charities.
- Key advisor to the Secretary General, management team and trustees on the overall financial landscape for the ACO and its on-going performance and position.
- Manage and continuously improve the efficient running of financial operations including the preparation of management accounts, cash flow forecasts, payroll, tax returns, and management of creditors and debtors.
- Ensure that an adequate control framework exists.
- Manage and continuously improve financial reporting ensuring accurate, timely and appropriate information for colleagues.
- Manage budgeting and planning processes, providing all appropriate financial data, and supporting budget-holding staff in all areas.
- Support funding applications and subsequent donor reporting to grant making bodies with project and programme budgeting.
- Manage the preparation of statutory accounts and be the main contact with external auditors.
- Be vigilant to financial and operational risks and to report and mitigate such risks.
The successful candidate will have:
- Ideally, understanding and knowledge of the UK charity finance environment.
- Experience in budgeting and cost control, including provision of reports and analysis to an audience with different levels of financial literacy.
- Strong financial leadership skills capable of directing financial strategy and delivering highest quality financial management.
- Experience in working with diverse stakeholders both within and outside an organisation
- Experience in managing and motivating teams.
- Experience of upgrading control processes and implementing change.
- A full finance qualification, or the ability to prove they are qualitied by experience.
- The willingness to travel throughout the Anglican Communion.
