The Paul Mellon Centre (PMC) is looking for a qualified and highly experienced Human Resources (HR) Manager who can help us create an inclusive and inspirational workplace. We are looking for someone who is interested in developing and enhancing the career and workplace experience of the people who work for our organisation through their leadership of the HR Team and provision at the PMC. Reporting to the Centre’s Chief Operating Officer, the HR Manager plays a crucial role in our organisation of around forty members of staff. We are seeking someone who takes a proactive approach to all employment matters, will research changes in the sector, is up to date with new HR systems and can provide excellent and forward-thinking advice to the Centre’s Senior Leadership Team on all matters related to HR.

Person Specification
The postholder will:
- be an experienced HR Manager with CIPD membership and Advanced Level 7 qualification who has a proven track record of effectively leading HR provision and services

Key responsibilities:
- Deliver and enhance our network and engagement programme to support green space owners and managers
- Support and coordinate the administration and delivery of a range of virtual and in-person network meetings and events
- Identify and develop relationships with potential new supporters
- Support the identification, and engagement of new audiences who could benefit from our work
- Identify and develop relationships with potential collaborators with whom we can work in partnership with, to maximise our capacity and expand our reach
- Support the sustainability of the charity by driving and maximising existing income streams as well as identifying and delivering new opportunities for income generation
- Represent Parks for London at events and wider engagement opportunities, and promote the interests of the charity, our services, and our supporters

Purpose of post
In 2022, IMO decided to develop deep and focused youth employment programming
to address the significant need in our community. To deliver this, we are partnering
with Impetus. The new programme supports young people from South Asian
backgrounds to bolster their opportunities for sustained education, employment and
training (EET) by providing 1:1 mentoring, family engagement and practical experience.
We are excited to recruit a leader for this programme, to develop it beyond the initial
pilot phase into a long-term, sustainable provision, build and manage local
partnerships, work with others to develop a long-term funding model, and ultimately
to support young people in securing and sustaining employment.
This is an exciting and new type of work for IMO Charity, and we are looking for
someone to take it forward. It is a strategic priority, sits on the Senior Management
Team, and will report directly to the CEO.
What we are looking for
We are looking for an experienced, inspiring leader who can utilise our assets with the
local community, working with the existing team and local partners to take our exciting
new employment programme for disadvantaged young people in Blackburn with
Darwen into its next phase of development and generate meaningful long-term
outcomes.
Successful candidates will bring extensive front-line experience with a similar target
demographic; strong management, planning and communication skills and will offer a
high level of initiative and a common-sense approach to working.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership and line management
- Work with CEO and other SMT members in leading the wider organisation in 1:1 and Senior Management Team meetings
- Lead on recruitment, selection and induction of new mentors
- Line managing, motivating and training mentors
- Be an ambassador for IMO, including by role-modelling its values, promoting Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, and being a visible senior leader
- Programme design and development
- Lead on strategic planning - design, development and implementation of all pillars of the Youth
- Employment programme (mentoring, family engagement and practical experience)
- Building on the initial pilot phase, determine the scope, targets and KPIs for programme over the next 3 years
- Develop all key elements of the programme including but not limited to outreach and partnerships, curriculum, quality assurance, impact management, financial resourcing
- Work with the IMO team to adapt and build on existing IMO delivery practices, and work closely with members of the wider organisation to ensure the new programme operates efficiently within all other activities
- Develop strategic relationships to build the network and pipeline of schools and potential delivery partners for the long-term benefit of the programme and its funding streams
Programme management and delivery
- Oversee the delivery of further cohorts of the IMO’s youth employment programme including:
- Ensuring provision of high-quality, consistent delivery of all pillars
- High-impact, meaningful opportunities sourced and scheduled to meet the needs of
individual young people
- Effective monitoring, evaluation and reporting
- Management of delivery staff by way of:
- Supervising and developing delivery staff both individually and as a group
- Managing schedules and workload
- Problem solving any delivery issues with the relevant parties e.g. schools,
young people and families
- Build and contribute to a culture of impact management by:
- Maintaining and monitoring systems & KPIs to facilitate regular impact management reviews
which gather useful and relevant data to improve programme delivery
- Conducting regular programme reviews with the relevant team members to evaluate delivery
and impact and make required changes to the programme
- Report updates and relevant impact data to the team internally as well as to the board,
external partners and other stakeholders on a regular basis
- Act as the point of contact for existing partners, strengthening & maximising relationships, dealing with day-to-day enquiries and escalating issues to the CEO when necessary
- Ensure that employer partners are well prepared to support potential candidates, including by educating them about any specific challenges and clearly aligning expectations on all sides
Develop sustainable funding model
- Support CEO to develop a sustainable funding model required to deliver IMO’s youth employment programme. This will include working with the team to conduct a review of costs to deliver an effective programme over the next 3 years
- Contribute to an income generation strategy for the youth employment programme
Wider organisational responsibilities
- Work to identify and incorporate youth voice into IMO’s work, including by encouraging candidates to share their stories, challenges and feedback on our services
- Help to secure and create case studies and other content for IMO’s social media channels, website and blogs that communicates the charity’s objectives, activities, impact and contributes to raising the profile of the charity

The Role
As a key member of the Institute’s growing nature team, you will be working specifically international nature markets. You will be working on a funded project of work, to support COP15 signatories to understand and implement models and markets that unlock private sector capital into nature restoration and conservation and help them meet their Target 19 commitments. This role will be part of a three-person team within the broader nature team.
You will gain exposure to a range of stakeholders including policy makers, project developers and the private sector across multiple countries. Your responsibilities will include organising stakeholder convening, undertaking research and analysis, developing content, and managing sub-projects autonomously.
Collaboration with industry, government, civil society and academia internationally is a key element of this role and we are looking for team members who will thrive in a dynamic environment where creative thinking, communication and time management skills are essential.
About You
This is an exciting role for someone who has already gained relevant experience within the international development and/or environmental or sustainable finance sectors, looking to continue a career in the emerging area of nature-based investing and natural capital.
The Institute’s nature team is in growth mode and as such this role would suit a versatile project manager who is focused on timely delivery. You are expected to have some stakeholder management skills and strong research and writing skills.
You will be expected to grow your project management and stakeholder management skills and be confident in taking initiatives to manage relationships with potential and existing partners. Ability to co-ordinate multiple projects will be important, and you must be comfortable working in a flexible way. You will grow your expertise in selected areas regarding the content and structure of nature-based revenue models. You will manage one junior role with possibly short-term consultants to oversee from time to time.

About the Team:
The Water Security Senior Advisor is a senior position in the WASH Technical Effectiveness team, reporting to the Water Security Lead. The WASH Technical Effectiveness team is situated within the Programme Support and Knowledge Team (PSK) of the WaterAid UK International Programmes Department (IPD).
IPD operates in 17 African and Asian countries. PSK is a diverse and motivated group of 20+ technical specialists and advisors, passionate about bringing sustainable WASH to the world's poorest and most marginalised people. PSK leads and supports organisation-wide programme learning and knowledge management, collating and disseminating programme knowledge and facilitating knowledge exchange.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Water Security Lead, the Senior Advisor Water Security co-leads the delivery of core team responsibilities regarding the thematic areas of water and other closely associated topics. Applying a people-centered, systems strengthening approach to WASH, they provide high-quality specialist technical analysis, advisory, and support services to the design, inception, implementation, troubleshooting, monitoring, and/or assessments of WaterAid's programming worldwide, at both strategic and operational levels.
In collaboration with country, regional and global colleagues, they co-lead the facilitation of effective learning and management of technical and programme knowledge across the organisation, and co-leads the development of relevant standards and guidance.
The Water Security Senior Advisor will:
Provide and coordinate targeted technical support to Wateraid programming (approximately 50% of time)
- Provide in-depth strategic and technical advisory support on water security, water resources and environment, catchment and watershed protection, hydrogeology, water supply, water quality, services delivery and management models, engineering and procurement, assets management, resilience, sustainability, and/or other inter-related topics for high quality WASH programming in both urban and rural, low-income settings, including households, schools, health care facilities and/or other relevant public places, incorporating WaterAid's and the sector's leading practices, innovations and methods.
- Coordinate with other technical colleagues for coherent embedding of cross-cutting topics such as gender, climate, systems strengthening, finance, and partnerships.
- Provide high quality, detailed technical analysis and advisory support to project design, inception, implementation, troubleshooting, monitoring, and/or assessments.
- Co-lead the facilitation of thought leadership on these technical topics across the organisation. Act as a subject-matter authority.
Support programme learning and knowledge management (approx. 15% time)
- Co-lead capturing of organisational programme knowledge and experience on water-related topics.
- Co-lead facilitation of effective learning and knowledge management on these topics across the organisation. Guide and support country and regional colleagues to do the same.
- Identify knowledge and implementation gaps on these topics. Coordinate with relevant teams to develop and carry out practical research plans.
Support development of programme guidance and standards (approx. 5% time)
- Co-lead the development of water-related normative frameworks, standards and guidance materials for both internal and external audiences in collaboration with country, regional and global colleagues.
- Support country, regional and global colleagues to develop a consistent understanding and application of water-related technical considerations into WaterAid's core programme work, and in applying relevant guidance, standards and considerations to their specific context.
Support fundraising, external engagement, and communications (approx. 20% time)
- Support donor engagement, intelligence gathering, and preparation of funding proposals.
- Provide strategic technical input into specific strategic initiatives and positioning alongside the other advisors.
- Coordinate with other teams in jointly engaging the WASH sector at all levels. Foster, promote and support global WASH related networks to enhance WaterAid's ability to share its experience and to learn from others.
Contribute to team processes (approx. 10% time)
- Be an integral part of the PSK team, helping to ensure the integration of our support work and a joined-up articulation of our core framing materials.
- Support PSK annual planning, budgeting, and reporting processes
About You:
- Strong technical experience in water supply engineering, groundwater development, water resource and environmental management, catchment and watershed protection, hydrogeology, water quality, service delivery and management models, procurement, asset management, resilience building, sustainability, and/or other inter-related topics across different settings, demonstrated through a progressive career record.
- A relevant post-Graduate degree or equivalent work experience.
- Strong experience in offering technical assistance, consulting, and/or advisory services to empower and to develop capacities.
- Ability to handle highly specialized, unusual, and challenging technical assignments, resolve complex issues in practical and imaginative ways.
- Strong writing ability in English. Experienced in producing practical knowledge products targeting the needs of diverse audiences.
- Working style that reflects WaterAid's values of Respect, Accountability, Courage, Collaboration, Integrity and Innovation.
- Solid IT skills, particularly with core Microsoft Office software.
- Ability to travel internationally up to 30%.
Although not essential, we also prefer you to have:

The Community Link Worker service collaborates with selected GP surgeries, supporting adults over the age of 18 through social prescribing. As a Community Link Worker, you will work directly with people referred to the Community Link Worker Service from their GP Practice who require immediate or on-going emotional, practical or vocational support in order to deliver the best possible health outcomes.
This post works directly with people using the service to develop and review personal support plans. You will work closely with other members of the Community Link Worker team, colleagues in Primary Care and representatives of community-based groups and organisations, to achieve outcomes as defined by your line manager.

About the role
Alongside the Service Manager, you are responsible and accountable for monitoring, maintaining and providing the highest standards of clinical and personal support and service delivery, while promoting independence and choice to the people supported in the service. The Educational Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) programme is a one-year postgraduate diploma course and is part of the Children and Young People’s Mental Health Psychological Training Programmes (previously CYP IAPT). The programme trains graduate entry mental health practitioners to work in educational settings offering help for common difficulties in children and young people including anxiety, low mood and behavioural difficulties, primarily with a focus on CBT-informed evidence-based guided self-help interventions. The programme is a key part of the Green Paper to transform children and young people’s mental health provision.
In collaboration with University College London (UCL) as the degree awarding body, Anna Freud is recruiting a Programme Director to lead the delivery of the Educational Mental Health Practitioner programme.
The EMHP Programme Director role sits within the Education and Training Division at Anna Freud within the Workforce Programmes stream in Post-Graduate Studies.
The post-holder will deliver a high quality, academically coherent and inclusive programme curriculum in line with the evolving EMHP National Curriculum, UCL and British Psychological Society (BPS) accreditation standards.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience of implementing CBT-informed interventions for low mood and anxiety as well evidence-based interventions for behavioural difficulties in educational settings; have a strong, demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion and education and have experience in curriculum design, assessment and teaching in Higher Education.
The role is held within a supportive leadership team who are committed to improving the mental health of all children, young people and families.
Location
Hybrid working (a mixture of onsite and home/remote working). Staff are working onsite for at least 20% of their working hours at our London site (4-8 Rodney Street, London N1 9JH).
