Salary: £22,800p.a. pro-rata (£38,000p.a. FTE)

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager with experience of community engagement and grassroots change to deliver our exciting new behaviour change programme in Spalding. Supported by a wider programme team, but responsible for this project on the ground, the Project Manager will marry our organisational expertise with a passion for environmental change. They will be responsible for setting up, implementing, and reporting on a set of behaviour change campaigns and interventions.
The ideal candidate will be a natural networker, adept at building relationships within the local community, connecting people and creating opportunities, and have heaps of initiative and a passion for engaging people to work together to improve local spaces.
This is an exciting role within a fast-paced charity. You will have a proven track record in project management and managing a range of stakeholders with varying expectations. The ideal candidate will be experienced in evaluating projects and continually making improvements based on learnings.

About the role:
This is a central and valued role in our Senior Leadership Team. The position is critical to our work in training healthcare professionals to understand how the law applies to practice and our work to empower communities with the tools and language to advocate for their rights. You will be delivering our ambitious plans to take our training service to the next level at this critical time, with support of our two brilliant training co-ordinators and a wider network of associate trainers. You will balance overseeing some exciting new projects with ensuring quality delivery of our training to meet our income targets.
Home-based (UK based and able to travel to deliver training across England and Wales, and to attend some in-person meetings and events predominantly in London and Birmingham).
About You:
We are looking for someone who has the ability to manage an income-generating service, meet the strategic goals of the service, and identify advocacy opportunities towards our ambition for long term and systemic change.
You will be a collaborative and empathetic leader, with experience managing an operational service or team and generating income or managing budgets. You will have experience developing or delivering training and have some understanding of human rights law or the challenges faced by too many women and birthing people in maternity care in the UK.

Role Overview
This role is responsible for achieving fundraising targets, managing the community fundraising team and freelance grant writer(s), and leading all marketing initiatives, including social media management.

Fundraising

Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in fundraising, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding income targets.

British Gas Energy Trust (BGET) supports individuals and families across England, Scotland, and Wales who are struggling with energy debt and financial hardship. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the delivery of a new nationwide energy-debt support programme, providing crucial assistance to those in or at risk of fuel poverty.
We are seeking a dynamic, proactive manager with at least five years of experience in outreach programme management and people management, who can drive engagement, oversee complex projects, and ensure impactful delivery across diverse communities.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Management & Delivery
- Develop and implement a comprehensive nationwide outreach strategy to deliver energy debt support to vulnerable communities.
- Oversee a rolling year-long calendar of weekly community-based money and energy advice events, ensuring smooth execution and maximum impact.
- Manage funded organisations and partners, ensuring they meet their obligations under grant agreements and deliver high-quality services.
- Monitor and evaluate programme performance, using data analysis and impact reporting to refine strategies and enhance future outreach efforts.

Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in grant and project management, including grant programme design and the use of project management software.

THE ROLE
The Fundraising Manager (Partnerships) role is a fantastic opportunity to lead on developing partnerships with The Girls’ Network's corporate and public sector supporters. The programme is well established with £170,000 worth of partners already on board. There is an opportunity to put your own stamp on the work, developing new collateral and ideas for excellent partnerships. The role is within our Fundraising & Communications team of four staff and works in collaboration with regional Senior Network Managers. There is an opportunity for the post holder to collaborate with the Fundraising Manager (Trusts and Foundations) on the development of grant applications.
Key roles and responsibilities
Income generation
- Primary focus of the role is to manage a portfolio of £170,000 worth of corporate partners and public sector organisations, to meet annual income targets and provide an excellent supporter experience.
- Develop compelling funding propositions and case for support to meet priorities, working closely with colleagues in Fundraising & Communications, Programmes and Monitoring, Research, Evaluation & Learning (MERL).
- Maintain an up-to-date pipeline of prospects through research and excellent record keeping (using SalesForce), ensuring that applications are made to meet known deadlines.
- Collaborate with Network Managers on regional corporate partnerships, ensuring a consistent and good supporter experience and identifying opportunities for development.
- Ensure that all reporting and grant monitoring is delivered in a timely manner, working closely with the MERL Manager and colleagues across Programmes.
- Oversee calendar of third-party events, liaising with external partners and ensuring appropriate TGN involvement.
- Provide internal management information and reporting to the Head of Fundraising on a quarterly basis, or as required.
Stewardship
- Develop data management processes, ensuring timely impact reporting or other agreed deliverables.
- Ensure all donations and supporters are thanked in a timely and appropriate mode to their giving channel.
- Keep all relevant donor and financial information up-to-date on Salesforce, ensuring adherence to GDPR and other relevant good practice, as defined by the Fundraising Regulator and other sector bodies.
- Work with Communications to ensure regular updates to website and other digital channels, identifying opportunities for partnership activities.
- Work with colleagues in Fundraising & Communications and CEO to deliver appropriate partner recognition including events and other engagement activities
Other duties

As a small charity with limited resources, all staff are expected to be flexible with their work and as such you may be required to undertake other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
- You will have at least five years’ relevant experience as a fundraiser or in other similar roles e.g. marketing or sales, ideally with at least three years working in fundraising and be able to demonstrate previous success in generating income and achieving targets.
- You will be an exceptional communicator with the confidence to work on your own initiative and to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- You will be well organised with excellent attention to detail, work well under pressure and have the ability to think both strategically and operationally.
- You have a good understanding of the disadvantages faced by both women and those from the least advantaged communities and have a drive to rectify the inequalities that currently exist.

Role purpose
In this new role, you will support the Head of Policy, Research and Consultancy in driving forward our policy and consultancy initiatives, contributing to both the existing strategy and the evolving one. Your key responsibilities will include line management of the Policy and Impact Officer, the implementation of policy strategies, advocating for key issues through campaigns and reports.
