PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Fundraising Manager will be responsible for growing income from our community fundraising and major donor relationships, so that an even greater impact can be made on adopted young people and their families. You will lead on all community fundraising initiatives, including appeals, fundraising campaigns, and external challenge events. You will drive innovation in our approach to fundraising. In addition, you will work closely with the Head of Partnerships and Senior Leadership Team to help us secure and manage all key fundraising relationships with major donors.  

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Supported by the Head of Partnerships and Senior Leadership team, take ownership of developing, delivering and monitoring fundraising events and activities in line with our fundraising strategy

· Manage existing and develop new innovative fundraising campaigns and activities to engage new and existing supporters & donors including legacies, external challenge events, digital fundraising campaigns, community activities, and large-scale events.

· Work with the team marketing lead to create compelling copy to promote events and help recruit supporters and donors.

· Work with all Adoption UK teams to support local fundraising activities in each of the four nations including membership and community teams

· Create and manage a volunteer fundraising programme to support more community fundraising across the organisation, including volunteer fundraiser recruitment.

· Analyse and report on the success of campaigns and programmes.

Our specialist counselling transforms the mental health and wellbeing of women who have suffered physical, emotional or sexual abuse, financial exploitation or coercive control, and we have assisted well over 15,000 people to date. You will lead Woman’s Trust income generation ensuring adequate income to sustain and grow the organisation, increasing its income from £1.3 Million to £3 Million in the next 3 years. While raising funds from multiple income streams, focus growths areas will be statutory and Trust and foundation funding securing six-figure, multiple-year grants and contracts. You will effectively communicate our services and campaign our aims aligned to our strategic priorities.

You will oversee the development and implementation of the fundraising strategy and the funding pipeline; ensure the maintenance and development of excellent relationships with current and new funders, stewarding grants and reporting back; review, update and develop service budgets; oversee the submission or coordination of quality bids, approaches, and events.

As a member of the senior leadership team, this post will work cross departmentally and will contribute to the overall strategy of Woman’s Trust, working closely with the CEO and the Board of Trustees. You will lead and line manage the Senior Trust and Foundation Manager and Fundraising Officer.  You will deliver a direct income target for each year, with a focus on the development and tendering of statutory commissioning.

Hours: 35 hours per week (28 hours will be considered).

Location: Office based with remote working available – minimum of 50% of working hours in Woman’s Trust Office, Edgware Road/Paddington, NW1.

At Parkinson’s UK we have an exciting opportunity for a Governance Officer to work with us to lead on governance projects to support the charity’s strategic objectives. The role supports board committees as well as the Annual General meeting.

We’re looking for someone with proven experience of liaising at a senior level, working across teams. You’ll have a track record of writing documents for senior stakeholders in various formats. You will be asked to prepare board committee minutes and maintain accurate records for compliance and good governance.

The ideal candidate will be organised and methodical, with the ability to grasp detail and complexity, and will be interested in developing their professional skills in charity governance.

About the role

As a core member of the Governance team, you’ll take the lead on governance projects and supporting activities, reporting to the Company Secretary. You’ll be involved in the full process which enables the board of trustees to make strategic decisions on behalf of the charity’s members and people affected by Parkinson’s. 

As a busy Governance Team, we work collaboratively and support each other throughout the year, and especially at peak periods of the governance cycle. 

What you’ll do:

• Provide board and committee support, working closely with the Company Secretary
• Prepare and attend meetings, take minutes and act as the governance team lead when required
• Co-ordinate the production of meeting packs for board and committee meetings
• Arrange training and development sessions for trustees and committee members 
• Contribute to the delivery of the Annual General Meeting and election cycle for charity members

What you’ll bring:

• Significant experience of providing senior stakeholder care to an excellent standard 
• Proven experience of maintaining effective and efficient records. Previous experience with writing minutes is desirable 
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with people at all levels
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines whilst maintaining accurate attention to detail
• A strong interest in gaining skills and experience in charity governance

With a loyal and established portfolio in place, you will inspire, engage and deepen connections with trusts and foundations, taking a relationship-based approach across predominantly family trusts to an annual target of just over £1m.

You’ll have experience of managing a portfolio of 5 and 6-figure philanthropists, delivering on exceptional stewardship plans and building relationships with new supporters. You will be comfortable strategizing and leading on trust fundraising at Refuge with the support of the Head of Philanthropy, an experienced Senior Executive and Senior Prospect Researcher. This role will suit you if you are adept at spotting opportunities and thrive on creative and authentic partnerships. About the Role:

As the Fundraising Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in securing diverse income streams to support the charity’s work. You’ll lead efforts to develop partnerships, secure grants, and innovate new fundraising initiatives. Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, with excellent analytical skills to assess opportunities and maximise ROI.

Trusts & Foundations Manager

About the Role:

As the Trusts & Foundations Manager you will be responsible for generating income from grant making trusts and foundations.

You will take the lead on seeking out new prospects and nurturing existing relationships to significantly grow income. You will achieve this by researching sources of funding, devising individually tailored applications, maintaining excellent communications with existing and potential donor trusts and foundations, delivering an agreed income target as well as growing funding from these sources.

We are happy to consider people who want to work full-time (35 hours), or four days per week (28 hours).

Here's a summary of your key responsibilities:

• Proactively identify and research new and pipeline trust, lottery and statutory fundraising opportunities and progress them to application stage.
• Developing the trust and foundation pipeline to generate new income and multiyear grants
• To lead the development of new fundraising proposals for priority fundraising projects, including potential research partnership opportunities where MQ collaborates on a joint bid with another institution
• To carry out targeted and systematic research to establish new high value prospects utilising existing networks, the MQ database, search engines and referrals
• Build long-term relationships with new and prospect trust, lottery and statutory donors, including through meetings, attendance at conferences and events, regular update
• calls/comms and – when possible – direct face-to-face engagement.
• Report on performance against agreed budgets and targets
• Capitalise on the expertise and networks of MQ’s senior volunteers, including working closely with MQ Trustees and other Development Team colleagues to maximise existing opportunities for introductions, including the Lord Mayor’s Appeal

About You:

This role is for you if you are an experienced trusts and foundations fundraiser, with good knowledge of the sector. You'll have demonstrable experience of securing five and six figure grants to achieve annual income targets, both through stewarding existing supporters and through researching and cultivating a pipeline of new opportunities.

You will also be skilled in understanding and translating complex information and turning it in to compelling written proposals, for grants, corporate partnerships and major donors.

We do require someone who is proactive, hardworking and results-orientated.

Essential role requirements include:

• Experience of trusts and foundation fundraising and able to demonstrate continual growth in expertise and results in this area.
• Good understanding of the trusts and foundations fundraising environment and associated processes and different types of grant making bodies.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write concise and inspiring funding applications and to make presentations.
• Creative thinker, with ability to identify funding opportunities and match them with the right trusts.
• Good interpersonal, influencing and relationship-management skills, at all levels.
• Ability to work as part of a team and spot opportunities to grow and develop relationships for the good of the organisation.

You will be driven to ensure that projects are delivered to the highest possible standards and be a sophisticated communicator with the confidence to build relationships with and inspire colleagues and donors.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience of Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge/NXT is desirable but not essential.
• Experience of using Monday[dot]com

We have an exciting opportunity for an amazing fundraiser to join our Church and Christian Engagement team. The heart of our work centres around engaging and inspiring Churches and Christians to join us- through regular giving, one off donations, action and prayer. Key areas of responsibility include:  

• Confidently building connections with churches and their leaders towards engaging with World Vision’s work, creating opportunities for individual giving or gifts from the church community.
• Using existing resources, campaigns and engagement tools to engage churches and individual Christians to support our work.
• Build a caseload of engaged church contacts to meet or exceed annual fundraising & acquisition goals, managing your time & workload.
• Ensure churches are on the correct supporter journey for their level of engagement, using appropriate touchpoints (telephone, email, meetings, hand written notes etc) to intelligently engage with key contacts. Maintenance of records, use of CRM system, monthly reporting on income and financial management including making sure gifts are properly allocated.
• Sharing WV’s work through in an audience appropriate way, including (but not limited to) presentations to church leaders, speaking in church services, or other external opportunities. Making a clear and compelling ask.
• Attending events (online and in person) to connect with individuals and leaders as a member of the WV team.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent attention to detail and be able to juggle multiple projects/pieces of information and form them into well-ordered activity plans and be able to prioritise.
