Role purpose
As part of our strategy, you will be responsible for leading the delivery, direction, and management of our ambitions to empower a more diverse range of young people with opportunities to develop essential leadership and life skills regardless of their background.
You will act as an influential member of the organisation’s Leadership Team to set, establish and deliver the Programmes and Projects Strategy aimed at supporting growth, reach, and impact of Leadership Skills Foundation programmes among underserved and/or under-represented communities and individuals.
In addition to establishing and managing relationships with external stakeholders at national, regional, and local levels, you will work as a pivotal member of the leadership team to embed this area of work across the organisation and benefit thousands of young people across the UK.
This role will require positive and proactive internal working relationships to be created with other teams and colleagues to support organisational objectives and goals.
Main duties and responsibilities
1.Responsible for leading and managing agreed and supported programmes, creating and supporting effective implementation and delivery systems.
2. Empower and equip programme team members, allocating resource to effectively deliver agreed and supported projects and their goals/KPIs.
3. Work collaboratively with partners and stakeholders to successfully influence and deliver agreed programme objectives and key results.
4. Manage agreed programme budgets and forecasting liaising with Leadership Skills Foundation colleagues and funders as appropriate.
5. Responsibility for implementing internal performance metrics to demonstrate effectiveness, influencing programme management, monitoring and evaluation.
6. Ensure all project milestones, contractual and reporting requirements are met to the agreed standard.
7. Develop and present clear insight and analysis to drive the improvement of strategic, business and operational planning and delivery.
8. Develop management practices that support consistent programme delivery and high-quality outcomes.
9. Ensure risk management and mitigation processes are in place across all programmes and communicated effectively.
10. Maintain a working knowledge and up to date awareness of the landscape and audiences the Leadership Skills Foundation works with and aspires to work with.

Main purpose and scope of role

Duties and Responsibilities (to include but not limited to)
Leadership
· Strive to ensure that the charitable purposes of IPWSO are followed and that it delivers the public benefit set out in its governing document.
· Take overall responsibility for the management and administration of IPWSO.
· Provide support and information to the Board of Trustees to enable trustees to fulfil their roles and legal responsibilities.
· Pursue close cooperation with, and accountability to, IPWSO’s members.

About the role:
We are looking for an experienced Programme Manager to lead life-changing projects that bring hope to the world’s most vulnerable children.
As a Senior Programme Manager (SPM), you will be pivotal in managing a diverse portfolio of institutional donor-funded programmes, including commercial contracts and grants. Working alongside World Vision National Offices and key implementing partners, you will ensure that programmes are effectively delivered on time, within budget, and in line with donor expectations. You’ll be the driving force behind impactful projects, supporting vulnerable communities in fragile settings and ensuring that our partners deliver on their commitments.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Lead the implementation of complex, high-risk programmes, ensuring positive outcomes for children in fragile contexts, including managing consortium projects where World Vision is either the lead or a key partner.
- Manage relationships with donors, lead on key donor-facing interactions, and ensure timely submission of financial and narrative reports.
- Collaborate closely with Programme Finance Officers to monitor budgets, manage financial risks, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Proactively assess programmatic and organisational risks, adapting programme strategies as needed to ensure goals are met.
- Act as the primary liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders, including country offices, partners, and donors.
- Oversee the start-up, implementation, and closeout of multiple programmes, ensuring strong governance and adherence to project management frameworks.
- Promote learning within your portfolio, sharing insights and best practices with donors, agencies, and colleagues, and representing World Vision at key international conferences and events.
About you:
We are looking for a strong leader with proven experience managing large, complex programmes funded by institutional donors such as the UK Government or the EU, ideally in fragile or conflict-affected areas.
Expertise in managing consortium-led programmes, commercial contracts, and payment-by-results initiatives is essential.
Key skills required for this role:
- Outstanding communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to represent World Vision at a strategic level with donors, partners, and other key stakeholders.
- Solid experience in financial management and adaptive programme management, with the ability to drive successful delivery in challenging environments.
- A passion for working in international development, alongside a degree in a relevant field (International Development, Programme Management, etc.) or equivalent experience.
- Willingness to travel to fragile contexts to support programme implementation and engage with field teams.

Your role
We are seeking a Senior Fundraising Leader to secure funding from diverse sources to support our program and initiatives. The ideal candidate has senior-level fundraising experience at an NGO, organisation, or charity, a strong and established network of executive relationships in major foundations, and a proven track record of identifying and closing deals in the range of 1-5 million USD. The fundraising leader will develop relationships with potential donors, identify fundraising opportunities, and manage the grant application process.

Key Responsibilities

· Research: Identify and explore funding opportunities from individuals, corporations, foundations, and other potential donors whose interests align with our programs. Regularly monitor donor databases and other sources for announcements and opportunities.
· Applications & Fundraising Development: Lead the creation of high-quality grant proposals and letters of inquiry in collaboration with program staff, ensuring they are compelling, well-structured, and tailored to donor priorities.
· Compliance and Reporting: Ensure all grants meet donor regulations, reporting requirements, and deadlines. Prepare and submit timely, accurate reports highlighting achievements, challenges, and financial impact.
· Monitoring and Evaluation: Track the success of fundraising efforts, monitor progress toward revenue goals, and use data analysis to identify trends and inform strategy, providing regular updates and insights.
· Events, Networking, and Representation: Organize fundraising events and oversee volunteer and partner teams. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to foster collaboration and boost resource mobilization.
