Your responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring that the financial transactions of the organisation are administered in most efficient and effective way
• Monthly accounts preparation, ensuring individual and consolidated monthly account and forecasting information is available to internal stakeholders
• Ensuring that purchasing administration from point of order through to payment is administered
• Ensuring all income is administered effectively.
• Ensuring accurate financial records are maintained with effective and timely reconciliations across General Ledgers, sub-ledgers, bank and inter-company accounts
• Payroll, ensuring payments made in line with Service Levels and that effective controls/reconciliations are maintained

About the role

This vacancy is for a University Access Officer to work in Oasis Academy Hadley and Lilian Baylis Technology School.

The University Access Officer works with school staff at all levels, volunteer tutors, and with the rest of The Access Project’s team to ensure that the delivery of the programme is optimised.

Role responsibilities

• Work directly with students in a professional and safe manner
• Engage with students in school and enrol them onto the programme
• Match students with volunteer tutors
• Monitor student attendance to tutorials and devise innovative solutions to encourage attendance
• Assess student progress towards being able to make successful university applications
• Upload information onto the Salesforce database (training is provided)
• Monitor the impact of tutorials, and intervene as appropriate
• Build and manage relationships with volunteer tutors to ensure they have a positive experience of the programme
• Manage tutor attendance to tutorials through weekly monitoring systems
• Work with school staff to ensure their cooperation and timely completion of activities contributing to the smooth running of the programme
• Chair and present at termly school meetings with Senior Management to report on programme progress.
• University Access Officers support the volunteering team by helping to deliver tutor training sessions, and attending university site visits, which take place on occasional Saturdays and weekday evenings (paid time off is provided).

This is a vacancy for an established but growing Corporate and Community Fundraiser role in a Berkshire based charity, generating funds from local businesses and community groups, events and individuals. 

Camp Mohawk is a local but widely known and highly respected organisation, providing support services to children and young people with special needs and their families from our beautiful woodland site in rural East Berkshire. Camp Mohawk supports over 700 families from across the South / South East region, seeing over 17,000 visitors each year.

Many of our families and young people find it extremely difficult to access public play and leisure facilities, and the challenges they face with day-to-day life means that they are at significant risk of social isolation and deteriorating mental and physical health. Recent studies have found that families who have a child with special needs are experiencing significant pressure on their family finances, over and above those being experienced by the general population. Camp Mohawk is committed to a voluntary contribution system of charges for the families who use our service and with very limited government / local authority funding available we are therefore almost entirely reliant on grants and donations to make up our annual income requirements.

We have a vacancy for a dynamic, driven and experienced individual to join our small fundraising team, focussing on generating income from corporate and community sources and working closely with our Grants and Trusts Fundraiser. The successful applicant will be a superb communicator, with proven presentation and / or public speaking experience, allowing them to engage and enthuse diverse audiences of all ages. They will possess the skills and confidence to create and deliver persuasive presentations, write press releases, produce posters, leaflets and other written communications, and maintain and build our social media following on a variety of platforms.  Experience of planning and co-ordinating events and/or fundraising challenges, managing teams of volunteers and making pro-active approaches is desirable. They will possess good IT skills and will have a good understanding of financial reporting.

Working primarily from home or remotely (due to space limitations in our small office!), they will be highly self-motivated, driven and possess exceptional organisational skills. The role involves frequent travel locally for the purpose of visiting current and new contacts in the community and attending events, therefore the successful candidate will live locally and will need their own transport. Working hours can be flexible but the ability to work at occasional breakfast, evening and weekend events is essential.

Transforming Lives for Good (TLG) are a national Christian charity working to support struggling children, young people and their families. Building on the huge success of our existing Early Intervention Coaching, TLG Therapeutic Support will be a new way for TLG, with partner churches, to provide support in school for the increasing number of pupils struggling to cope due to their emotional, relational, and mental health experiences.  This programme addresses the underlying issues children are facing, whilst also providing the option of direct support to their parents/ carers and the school staff team. 

The ideal candidate will be a qualified counsellor with an aptitude for creativity whether this is music and drama, sport and outdoor recreation or other fields of kinaesthetic development. The TLG Therapeutic Counsellor will be present each week in the school, providing specialist trauma aware care for these children, whilst supporting staff and parents too, so we're looking for an individual who can build and foster strong relationships.

Reporting to the Director of Advancement, you'll support the established Advancement team across key fundraising priorities. This is a pivotal new position created to contribute to a significant uplift in UWC International’s fundraising and prospect identification efforts in support of the new UWC Endowment. Your work managing your own portfolio of prospects (HNWI) will support the operational effectiveness of UWCI’s fundraising programme and the strategic development of global UWC funding priorities.

 About The Felix Project

The Felix Project is London's biggest food redistribution charity and the largest end-to-end food redistribution charity in Europe.  

The Felix Project is a dynamic, ambitious charity working to make London a city where no one goes hungry and good food is never wasted.  

We rescue high quality, fresh and nutritious food that cannot be sold from nearly 500 suppliers including supermarkets, wholesalers, farms, restaurants and delis. We sort and deliver this food to charities, schools and community projects supporting London’s most vulnerable people. 

This year we expect to rescue 13,000 tonnes of food to redistribute to more than 1,000 London frontline charities and primary schools in every borough of London. That’s enough food to make more than 30 million meals. 

The Felix Project is growing fast in response to huge demand. Set up in 2016, we now have around 160 staff working alongside 8,500 volunteers. We have four main operating depots spread across London - in Deptford, Enfield, Park Royal and Poplar. We’re committed to ensuring our different teams work hand-in-hand, so our main hot-desking spaces are built into these depots. 

Alongside our large-scale, depot-based operations we have green ‘point-to-point' food redistribution projects in central London and Canary Wharf. In Poplar, we operate a commercial Kitchen which uses surplus food to cater for up to 5,000 individual meals per day. 
 

Purpose of the Job 
The Recruitment and HR Operations Manager will report direct to the Head of People and lead the end-to-end recruitment and HR operations for our organisation. This role combines the strategic elements of recruitment with operational HR responsibilities, including payroll oversight, HR systems management, and occasionally employee relations support. This role will be line managing the People Officer and People Administrator, who will provide support on the below functions. 

Duties and Accountabilities

Recruitment

• Ensure that end-to-end recruitment is completed for roles across all levels of the organisation; including creating recruitment campaigns and plans
• Overseeing job board accounts
• Develop and execute innovative talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain top talent.
• Partner with department managers to understand their hiring needs and provide guidance throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
• Manage relationships with external recruitment agencies as needed to support hiring goals.

HR Operations

• Oversee HR operations to ensure efficient and compliant HR processes, including payroll processing, benefits administration, and employee record maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and internal policies.
• Drive improvements in HR processes and systems to increase efficiency and effectiveness within the team.
• Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a seamless employee experience.

Payroll Management

Partnership Lead

Job Purpose

The Partnership Lead will play a key role in operationalising and overseeing the support for approximately 34 school hubs across England, contributing to local school improvement. They will also take the lead in operationalising the renewal of all schools across the Challenge Partners network.

Schools within Challenge Partners subscribe annually and join forces in local hubs,  spanning England from Cornwall to County Durham. The hub works together over the course of the academic year pulling together a Hub Action Plan, which aims to tackle collectively agreed priorities using funding from Challenge Partners. Challenge Partners hubs provide the local element of our collaborative partnership. 

The Partnership Lead will build and manage relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and hold responsibility for ensuring all hubs have everything they need to provide an excellent experience to schools. They will also support the renewal of all schools, through leading excellent Customer Care practices and operationalising the annual retention campaign, working with the Partnership Development Manager. They will work closely with the Partnership Experience Manager and the team of Partnership Coordinators to ensure excellent delivery.

Established in 2011, Challenge Partners is a well-respected nationwide network of practitioners who engage in hard-edged collaboration and mutual accountability to ensure every school community can benefit from the combined wisdom of the education system. 

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Partnership Experience Manager, the Partnership Lead will have the following key areas of responsibility and will be expected to undertake other responsibilities commensurate with the role as requested:

Partnership Delivery and Development

Individual Partnership Delivery and Development responsibilities: 

• Implement the annual cycle of hub work, including planning and implementing key partnership correspondence, activities and events.

Support all hub owners through matrix working to: 

• Embed excellent account management, delivering outstanding support for our partner schools, multi-academy trusts and hubs.

• Maintain highly effective stakeholder relationships with Headteachers, trust CEOs, Senior Partners and Hub Managers.

• Induct new schools and hubs, making sure that all are appropriately onboarded to Challenge Partners.

Data Management and Systems

• Implementation of annual partnership evaluation work with the support of the Partnership Experience Manager.

Event Planning, Organisation and Monitoring

• Liaise with speakers, venues and suppliers to ensure high quality delivery of the National Induction.

• Work closely with the marketing team to create a social media plan to showcase the National Induction.

Line Management

• Provide high-quality and consistent line management for up to two Partnership Coordinators, including regular one-to-one meetings and performance reviews.

Overall purpose of the job  

The River Engagement and Education Officer will become a valued member of our small, friendly, and highly dedicated Community Engagement and Education Team. In this role, you will help organise river-related activities aimed at inspiring individuals and empowering them to take action for their rivers. 

You will be actively involved in the catchment area, supporting volunteer initiatives, conducting school sessions, and assisting with community workshops. Your role will include facilitating enjoyable and memorable experiences through challenges, games, and experiments, allowing participants to explore their river environments and appreciate the benefits of being close to nature. 

Additionally, you will encourage individuals to develop new skills by engaging in conservation activities such as river clean-ups, citizen science water quality monitoring, and wildlife surveys.

Travel and Schedule Requirements  

This position will be based at the home address of the appointed employee, with regular use of the Trust’s desk space in Bristol. The post holder will be required to travel frequently throughout the Bristol Avon catchment for meetings, site visits, community and school events, and more. A full, current UK driving license and daily access to a vehicle covered by business insurance are essential for this role. 

To minimise travel time and reduce carbon emissions, we prefer candidates who live within the catchment area. Mileage costs will be reimbursed. Additionally, this position may occasionally require working evenings, weekends, and public holidays to fulfil the responsibilities of the role. The Trust operates a time-off in lieu system.

We're FIRST UK, a EdTech charity using robots, role models and competitions to make STEM more approachable and inclusive – empowering young people with the technical knowledge and soft skills to thrive.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
A programme officer with a flair for engaging people. Someone who can help grow the UK’s most ambitious student robotics movement through:

• Outreach - increasing uptake amongst schools and youth groups
• Support - ensuring a high-quality experience for partcipants and teachers
• Events – supporting delivery of epic robotics tournaments
• Volunteering - recruiting, upskilling and stewarding event staff and mentors
• Partnerships – fostering a local community of STEM champions and partners   

You’re an all-rounder, motivated by working with young people, educators, and industry to engineer better futures. Reporting to our Head of Delivery (that’s Vicky on our website), you’ll be instrumental in scaling our impact regionally. 

WHAT YOU'LL GET

We have a strong value proposition and refreshing brand. Our case for support is built on three decades of evidence. Well before pandemics, we were working flexibly and remotely – it’s embedded in our culture.

• £28,000 - £31,000 per annum dependent upon experience
• 25 days holiday, plus 8 bank holidays, and a Christmas gift
• Enhanced maternity and paternity leave
• Super-flexible, hybrid role with lots of responsibility
