No day is the same with the variety of responsibilities as a Learning and Development Officer at SSAFA. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring a seamless and enriching learning experience for employees, working closely with the Learning & Organisational Development Manager and the broader People team to foster a culture of continuous learning across the organisation.

You will serve as the primary contact for all enquiries, managing the entire lifecycle of learning and development events — from researching external providers to evaluating feedback. Your responsibilities will also include overseeing the Learning Management System (Litmos), maintaining accurate training records, and promoting learning initiatives through internal communication platforms. Additionally, you will support data management and analysis to inform learning strategies and contribute to various development projects.

This is a fixed term role until April 2025.

About you

A key attribute we are looking for in you, on top of a passion and drive to learn, is a strong background in managing learning systems and a commitment to driving organisational growth through effective learning initiatives. You will also need to have experience in coordinating and promoting training events.

You will be a confident communicator, with excellent literacy and numerical skills in to order to liaise effectively with managers regarding a range of issues or, when required, produce professional documentation to high standards. The team is small so you will need to be able to use your own judgement and initiative to complete day to day tasks.

To ensure you can hit the ground running, demonstrable experience of using Microsoft Office products is essential to complete the range of tasks required in this role as well as accurate data/record inputting.

Fleet Administrator

Part Time - 21 hours per week (over 5 days)

About the role:

This is a newly created part time role following a period of growth. The Fleet Administrator will be responsible for the efficient administration of the fleet to ensure that Rainbow Trust vehicles are managed effectively, accurate records are maintained, and costs are minimised, working closely with suppliers to ensure the smooth running of the fleet with minimal disruption.

The Fleet Administrator will form a vital part of the Finance and Operations Team supporting the Facilities & IT Manager in the management of the Rainbow Trust fleet. Rainbow Trust operates a fleet of approximately seventy vehicles situated across our nine regional teams. It is vitally important that our Family Support Workers have a reliable vehicle for attending family visits and transporting families to hospital. In addition, the Fleet Administrator will be required to assist the Facilities and IT manager with ad-hoc tasks/projects according to the workload.

Full training will be provided and previous experience of managing a fleet is not required, although is desirable. A good level of maths, excellent communication, planning and Microsoft Excel skills are required to be successful in this role.

This is an excellent opportunity to maintain a breadth of fleet administrator experience with increased responsibility.

Purpose of role

We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced and creative tutor with excellent interpersonal, numeracy and digital skills; excellent written English and efficient organisational skills.

Duties will include:

- To work as a member of the Adult Education Team, taking a full part in the organisation, planning and delivery of the ESOL Skills

- To comply with Health and Safety, carrying out the required administration (including monitoring and Ofsted and RARPA) and ensuring we run a safe and stimulating programme

- To plan independently in compliance with the ESOL Curriculum and to work creatively whilst exercising initiative and contributing own materials

- To regularly carry out and keep records of initial and diagnostic assessments

- To devise schemes of work and lesson plans for own courses

- To effectively lead a class/group of up to 16 students

- To act as an internal verifier for exams

- To devise Individual Learning Plans with students

- To collect, present and maintain feedback forms, samples of learners’ work, samples of formative and summative assessments, termly figures (progression routes and achievement grids), and end of course reviews

The Role Within Unseen

Unseen provides support to people who have experienced Modern Slavery and Human trafficking and actively champions capturing voices in our work and providing development opportunities for those we are working with. • An appropriate social work qualification

Citizens Advice Merton and Lambeth (CAML) is the leading advice charity supporting individuals and families across the London boroughs of Lambeth, Merton but also wider London. Owing to charity expansion, we are looking for experienced, accredited Advisers to provide comprehensive advice and support to clients. If you have at least one year’s experience of working in an advice support organisation, are passionate about supporting individuals and families in need and interested in joining a dedicated, professional team we would love to hear from you.

The successful candidates will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work flexibly with clients and for the charity. You will be meticulous in your work, especially when supporting clients and maintaining case records for continuity of follow up advice and casework. Main duties and responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive advice in all generalist subject areas including welfare benefits, debt and income maximisation, in line with Citizens Advice requirements.

• Commit to ongoing training/development as requested by the charity

• Use your interpersonal skills to explore, listen and understand complex problems as they affect each individual and tailor your approach to advice accordingly

• Provide a clear plan of action and follow-up on actions relating to cases as appropriate

• Identify and escalate serious problems, including safeguarding, appropriately

• Ability to work to own initiative within a team environment. Work closely with service colleagues and wider CAML team

• Support clients in CAML offices and outreach venues

Monitoring Quality and Case Recording

• Ensure all client engagement and support is comprehensively and accurately recorded

We are now recruiting for a Lead Coach in Bethnal Green  - an outstanding opportunity to work as part of a local church to deliver the Spear Programme.

You’ll be working with the local church to manage the delivery of Resurgo's award-winning Spear Programme. Over the last 20 years, Spear has supported more than 10,000 young people across the UK with the work-ready skills and mindset they need to succeed in employment, no matter the challenges they face. In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

The Lead Coach is primarily responsible for overseeing the training room and group sessions with young people. You will help shape the training environment and will confidently adapt and deliver materials and sessions to work within the group’s development towards work readiness.

Delivery of Spear Programme - Group and 1:1 coaching [60%]

• Preparing and coaching Spear Foundation sessions and 1-1s, ensuring that young people are engaged, retained and work-ready by the end of this initial phase of the programme
• Building relationships with young people on the programme and managing culture, and attitudes in the training room
• Adapting the Spear coaching material according to the needs of the Trainees and managing behaviour effectively
• Handling safeguarding
• Taking a lead on rating the work readiness of the trainees and making sure data is inputted and used correctly on salesforce
• Tracking trainee progress on the dashboards
• Liaising with volunteers for key programme engagement events such as mock interviews and external panels. Leading on briefings and communications with these volunteers

Delivery of Spear Career [20%]

• Delivering weekly Spear Career sessions (including running workshops with past Trainees), maintaining records and reporting on statistics, and creatively developing ongoing relationships with Spear Trainees

Training the Graduate Coach [10%]

• Contributing towards the training and developing of the Graduate Coach by modelling excellent coaching and giving regular feedback

Trainee recruitment [10%]

• Developing relationships with Job Centres and local referral agencies to ensure that the maximum number of Spear Trainees are enrolled on each programme. This involves liaising with referral agencies, active face-to-face recruitment and monitoring recruitment statistics

Continuous professional development

• Continually engaging in professional development, including being part of Resurgo’s wider coaching programmes and possibly supporting on leading internal training such as Grad Coach Training

Active participation in and support for church team and mission

• As the Spear programme is run in partnership with a local church partner, you will establish a strong personal connection with the church to develop the engagement and backing of church members and help build a strong network of supporters for the Spear programme. As part of this you may be asked to speak at church/events and contribute to prayer meetings as per Resurgo’s Christian ethos and the mission of the church
