Blackburn & Darwen Youth Zone is a 21st century youth hub located at the heart of Blackburn and a dedicated site in Darwen, open to young people aged 5 to 25 years old, aiming to change the prospects offered to young people in the area. Our vision is to be at the heart of the community, collaborating to create a more cohesive and prosperous Blackburn and Darwen.

Context of Role:
The Youth Club Coordinator role is a crucial role within our mission of making sure B&DYZ is “the Number One Service for young people”. You will be responsible for the coordination, leadership, planning and delivery of Darwen Youth Zone Youth Club provision for young people aged 13 to 19 years (21 with a disability). Working positively, collaboratively and at pace with an enthusiastic and energetic youth work team, you will ensure our programme and offer for young people is of high quality, meets the needs of every young person in Blackburn with Darwen and ensures our offer reflects and exceeds on the wishes, needs and views of young people.
You will hold line management responsibility seeking to ensure that there is strong evidence of effective performance in line with our vision, mission, values and strategic objectives. The role will require you to have previous experience within a youth work setting and strong evidence of excellent safeguarding knowledge and practice.
Responsibilities:
Service:
- To ensure that the offer for young people is the best possible service, ensuring there is a diverse range of activities that create opportunities and encourage young people to participate and have a go at new things.
- To work towards agreed targets including attendance, participation, progression, impact and evaluation and key performance indicators.
- Ensure the programmes meet the needs of existing and new members, engages a diverse range of young people from across BwD and support their active participation and promote their retention
- Maintain a good understanding of the young people we work with, their issues and challenges and the complexities of delivering in a large open access setting through direct work with young people during sessions and through good communication with the team.
- To ensure that the youth work delivery is carried out in a planned, systematic coordinated way and evaluated.
- To deal with any problems during the sessions and to provide appropriate intervention while advocating for all young people and ensure young people receive appropriate support
- Ensure participation is meaningful for young people and that their ideas contribute fully in the planning, delivery and evaluation of sessions, projects and activities.
- To be target driven and quality assure and provide reports and information as required in order to ensure a consistently high-quality youth work provision and demonstrate the impact of our work with young people.

Leadership and management skills:
To promote a positive image of Blackburn & Darwen Youth Zone through professional operation and conduct with all our stakeholders and the general public.
- To manage, support and motivate a team of part time, sessional youth workers and volunteers to contribute to the development of activities, understand the session plan and effectively carry out their role, working with the youth work manager to support their continuous professional development.

Safeguarding and compliance;

- To be a Principal Key Holder, with responsibility for the building and health and safety during sessions and securing of the building at the end of a session.

Working hours

Whilst being homebased, the Senior Supervising Social Worker will visit and support foster families across the TACT South West area including Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon, Gloucester, Somerset and Wiltshire areas but will also travel within the wider region for team meetings, training and other in person events.
Overall Duties of the Senior Supervising Social Worker will include:
- An appropriate social work qualification
- Up-to-date registration with Social Work England

Deputy Manager
We have a new role available for a Romanian speaking Deputy Manager to join an exciting organisation.
Position: Deputy Manager- Acasă
Location: Westminster and Southwark
Contract: 6 months, with the possibility for extension
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 per week (including late night/early morning outreach up to two shifts a week)

About the Role
You will work with Westminster rough sleeping services, including street outreach and assessment hubs, to identify clients who wish to return and are suitable to be referred into the service. This will include participating in weekly late night/early morning street outreach shifts.
You will assess referrals to ensure prospective clients meet Acasă eligibility criteria, then help them to prepare to reconnect. This will include gathering necessary documentation, making travel arrangements, engaging with consular services and in some instances traveling to the airport.
On occasion you may also link clients up with services that could support them in Romania. You will work with a high degree of autonomy towards delivering outcomes for clients, being flexible in your approach and tailoring the service to individual client’s needs and aspirations.
A personalisation fund will be available to provide some material support to clients. e.g. clothes, short hotel stays and subsistence. This will set up clients to return with dignity and for success in their home country.
Key responsibilities include:
· Ensuring that Acasă delivers excellent performance and a high-quality service with a measurable positive impact
· Working with Depaul colleagues to continuously develop the service, including drafting reports and presentations on the service
· Creating relationships with and working closely with local authority partners, as well as building relationships with colleagues in central and regional government, as well as organisations in Romania
· Working flexibly, for example by joining late-night and early-morning street outreach shifts
· Responding promptly to referrals, undertaking in-depth assessments to assess suitability for the service and to inform support planning.
· Enabling clients to access support from a range of statutory and non-statutory agencies while they are in the UK
· You will use a personalisation fund to provide clients with material support e.g. clothes, short hotel stays and subsistence
· Managing this fund, as well as the wider budget including travel costs.

About You
You will need to have the following skills and experience:
· Fluent Romanian speaker.
· An understanding of the particular challenges and discrimination faced by Roma people.
· Experience working and building trust with homeless or vulnerable people.
· Experience in taking responsibility for operating safeguarding requirements and procedures.
· Experience in working under pressure with the ability to respond to conflicting demands, find creative solutions using own initiative.
· Experience in working creatively to tailor services to individuals.
· Knowledge of the immigration and housing issues faced by non-UK nationals sleeping rough.
· Ability to administer a budget over the course of a project.

About the role:
This hybrid role is based in Shoreham by Sea, which includes a combination of home and office-based working as well as regularly meeting with clients across Sussex at safe locations of their choosing and attending meetings as required.
As an IDVA you will:
- Support the empowerment of survivors, assiting them to recognising the features & dynamics of domestic abuse

About the role:
This role involves both face to face and virtual support in a hybrid model of working. There is an expectation that you will do a mixture of working from home, our office in Old Street and in co-location at Northwick Park Hospital. As a Hospital Independent Domestic Violence Advocate you will:
- Implement effective ways of working with victims to increase safety and reduce harm

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Social Worker to join the team, working 28 hours per week.
Young lives vs Cancer is open to and in support of flexible working. We currently use a hybrid working model. This role falls under the hybrid - variable category. This role is part home, part site based (your contractual base will be both Home and Addenbrooke’s Hospital). You will have the opportunity to work remotely / from home within the parameters of our hybrid working arrangements. Your flexibility requirements and that of the role will be discussed at the interview stage.
The office-based working will be at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, to provide support to children and young people (0-24 years, with a focus on over 13’s) diagnosed with cancer and leukaemia, and their families.
This role is subject to a criminal record check. In the event of a successful application an enhanced criminal record check will be completed. This role is also subject to a Social Worker Registration.
WHAT DO I NEED?

Our beautiful new Short Breaks home in Mountsorrel will support children & young people between 8-18 years who have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and challenging behaviour. Some of the responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- To build trust and develop nurturing relationships which promote the service user's independence, wellbeing, strengths, and capabilities.
- To work in partnership and build relationships with parents/carers and other professionals.
- To shift lead and conduct staff supervisions.
- To support the Registered Manager with audits and other duties where required.
- To contribute to the upkeep of the home including cooking, cleaning etc.

- Must hold a Level 3 qualification relevant to Residential Childcare.

About the role:
This role is based in our Islington office with the flexibility of hybrid working. As a Children & Young People's Caseworker, you will:
- Conduct needs and risk assessments to ensure each CYP receives an individual support package that meets their needs, including safety planning, advocacy, emotional & practical support.
