About the Role
The Head of Public Affairs and Policy is responsible for overseeing Reprieve’s political engagement and policy work; managing public affairs and policy focused staff; and steering forward advocacy and policy that advances Reprieve’s strategic objectives on behalf of our clients in all the jurisdictions where we operate.

About the Secular Clergy Common Fund
The Fund was established around 1701 and is a charity providing grants to support sick and retired Catholic priests in the South-East of England, who are the members of the Fund. The Fund also looks after two Victorian Catholic cemeteries in London. The six Administrators of the Fund are elected by the members and act as Trustees of the charity.
Key Responsibilities
1. To provide leadership for and line management of the Fund and its cemeteries, in line with strategies and policies developed in partnership with the Administrators.
2. Together with the Chief Administrator, to enable the Administrators to fulfil their duties and responsibilities for the proper governance of the charity and to ensure that they receive timely advice and appropriate information on all relevant matters.
3. To administer the grant making and membership activities of the Secular Clergy Common fund, in line with the rules of the Fund and in the light of the decisions of the Administrators.
Key Tasks
1. Governance
· To act as the clerk and executive officer for the Administrators of the Fund.
o To clerk meetings of the Administrators (3 or 4 per year).
o Liaison with Auditors, Investment Managers, Bankers, Solicitors, Health and Safety Adviser, Charity Commission, Companies House, HMRC, and others as directed or agreed with the Administrators.
o To report significant matters in a timely manner to the Chief Administrator.
· To assist the Administrators in review of their operational and strategic risks and the implementation and monitoring of measures arising from this.
· To advise the Administrators on the strategic development of the charity.
· To ensure that the charity fulfils all its legal, statutory and regulatory responsibilities
o To periodically review the charity’s arrangements for Employment, GDPR and Health and Safety other significant areas and present recommendations to the Administrators to bring them up to date.
2. Secular Clergy Common Fund (‘The Fund’)
· To maintain records of members, including correspondence for admission of new members and receipt of subscriptions.
· To liaise with the Administrators for the making of grants.
· To make payments of grants and other dues on behalf of the Fund.
· To receive donations and legacies on behalf of the Administrators.
· To maintain financial records for the Fund
o Including of investment portfolio transactions as advised by Investment Managers (HSBC Private Bank).
· To arrange the AGM and dinner.
3. St Mary’s & St Patrick’s Cemeteries
· To act as line manager for the two cemeteries and work closely with the Cemetery Manager.
· To assist the Administrators in developing a medium- to long-term strategy for the cemeteries.
· To manage the strategic development of the cemeteries as financially sustainable ‘places of rest and hope, comfort to the living, signs of their hope for unending life’.
· To assist the Cemetery Manager in development of action plans for the cemeteries, agree them with the Administrators and support their implementation.
· To ensure that all policies and procedures for the cemeteries are up to date and compliant with all relevant areas of legislation and regulation, and reflective of good practice, reviewing and developing them as appropriate and agreeing key policies with the Administrators.
· To assist with accounting and finance for the cemeteries, possibly including accounting, payments and payroll.
· To address issues concerning the cemeteries which the Cemetery Manager has been unable to resolve.

That’s where Listen to Families London comes in. This groundbreaking project, commissioned by NHS London, is transforming how prison healthcare services engage with families and carers. Over the past two years, we’ve gathered the voices of more than 1,500 people, ensuring their experiences shape better healthcare in prisons.
The Role: Champion Lived Experience, Drive Real Change
We are looking for an inspiring individual to take this pioneering initiative to the next level. This is a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of healthcare, justice, and lived experience—ensuring that families and carers are not just heard, but listened to.
You will lead a dynamic project that operates in a quarterly cycle of listening, feedback, and action—working directly with families, NHS teams, prison services, and policymakers to make real, lasting improvements in prison healthcare.
At the heart of this project is our Family Team—a group of people with lived experience of supporting loved ones in prison. You will ensure their voices remain central to everything we do, consulting and involving them at every stage.

• Experience leading service user involvement or public voice programmes.
• A deep understanding of the criminal justice system, prison healthcare, or both.

• Confidence to work at a senior level, influencing NHS decision-makers and challenging the system where necessary.

Power2 is a fast growing and energetic children and young people’s charity that has supported 25,000 young people since 2001. We are based in the North West of England and London and deliver early-intervention asset-based programmes to children and young people who have mental wellbeing challenges and are disengaged from school and more widely. We are well-known for our accredited Teens and Toddlers programme.

Our work is growing and we are looking for eight Programme Leads to deliver our programmes on a fixed-term contract, to enable all children and young people, regardless of their needs, to feel that they belong and can prosper.
Our new Programme Leads will work as part of a team to support young people, their families, and school staff to ensure that at-risk pupils make the most of their education and improve their life chances. Work will include 1:1 support and delivery of Power2’s core programmes, including Teens and Toddlers and Power2 Progress. The successful candidates could be based in one school, travel between multiple schools or work in the community.

Your Roles and Responsibilities, but Not Limited To:

- Set appropriate budgets and oversee, manage, and monitor these, to ensure the targets are achieved.
- Work with the Community Director and funding officer to identify and submit relevant grants, funding applications, and tenders/bids for commissioned work.
- Secure funding and increase unrestricted income streams to support on-going programme delivery and sustainability of the department.
- Oversee the implementation of a robust, high-quality data capture process to ensure the department can evidence impact and social value of its programmes through a variety of methods such as reports, case studies, testimonies, media articles, and feedback surveys.
You Must Have:
- Significant experience of line managing, leading and developing staff and volunteers creating a strong team culture and inclusive working environment.
- Success in building relationships both internally and externally, working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
- Proven experience of working at management / leadership level.
- Experienced in project management, ability to prioritise and manage multiple workstreams and completing priorities.
- Sound experience of setting and managing budgets.
- Proven track record of securing funding for projects or initiatives including local, regional and national funders through partnership work and / or bid writing.
- Ability to identify trends and analyse data to inform decision making.
- An experience of leading, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) and safeguarding.
- A level 3 (‘A’ Level or equivalent) qualification or higher in a health-related subject, or other relevant subject area.
- A full and valid UK Driving Licence, as well as access to a vehicle for work.

- Ability to work calmly under pressure, meet deadlines and have an attention to detail.

Job Purpose:
- To provide high quality, proactive and efficient support to the service pipeline, service transformation project and service team members across the UK, whilst maintaining appropriate systems and processes to support the effective delivery of service innovation and development
- To act as a resource for colleagues offering direction through the service innovation process, assisting colleagues with document/project development and the agreed deliverables, and being available for light touch project support and guidance
