The Development and Alumni Office is a small, dynamic team responsible for building a culture of support for Goldsmiths, whether that is through philanthropy, volunteering or advocacy. Our fundraising activities support highly impactful projects that change lives and even save lives, and that reflect Goldsmiths’ values of civic engagement, social inclusion and educational excellence.
The Alumni Relations and Regular Giving programme aims to build relationships that inspire alumni, colleagues and friends to support Goldsmiths through donations or volunteering. Through our multi-channel regular giving campaigns, we seek donations via single gifts, monthly direct debits and legacy gifts.
About the Role
This role will work closely with the Head of Alumni Relations and Regular Giving to implement the individual giving and legacy fundraising programme that will increase funds raised to support education at Goldsmiths.
The postholder will responsible for the project management of and writing copy for individual giving and legacy fundraising campaigns, and donor stewardship communications, via email, web, social media, and/or direct mail.
About the Candidate
You will be able to demonstrate an entrepreneurial approach to identifying new opportunities and developing ideas. You will also be able to demonstrate the ability to project manage fundraising campaigns and build personal relationships with alumni donors. You will be skilled in writing engaging fundraising copy for email, web and print. Ideally you will have experience of individual giving and/or legacy fundraising from the Higher Education or Not for Profit sector. However transferrable skills from exceptional candidates looking to move into the Higher Education sector are also welcomed.

About the role
The Philanthropy team is key to securing unrestricted income and supporting the organisation to achieve financial resilience. Summary

You'll be responsible for building and maintaining the small trusts portfolio to maximise income generation (circa 200k), submitting bids under £20k and stewarding funders. As a Grant Operations Officer, you’ll take on a varied role where you’ll be involved with:
• Supporting the logistical and secretariat process for the senior grant advisory and review panels.
• Lead on the preparation of administrative aspects of all funding streams, including setting up funding rounds and applications on the Grant Management System (GMS; Grant Tracker).
• Supporting in the peer review process.
• Managing grant funding operational and administration processes.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
• Previous experience within a grants funding position.

Interim Procurement Officer
Duration: 3 months +
Location: Central London
Daily rate: £200 - £400 per day (dependent on experience)
Flexible working: Candidates must be available to work from the London office 2 days a week
Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research and identify local market best practices and suppliers
- Facilitate the process of gathering, defining, and formalising internal service requirements
- Draft, administer, and submit all relevant PQQ/RFP documentation
- Liaise with all relevant OSF departments (Global Operations, PCU, OGC, Security, Finance, etc.)
- Lead supplier negotiations in collaboration with relevant OSF stakeholders
- Facilitate internal evaluation and decision-making process pertaining to the final award
- Ensure strong handover to operations by hosting supplier introductions and trainings

Experience required
- Skilled at negotiating and communicating with suppliers
- Experience, researching, collecting, analysing, and using data in decision-making
- Able to work effectively in compliance with internal policies and external constraints

- Organised; strong project management ability; self-directed on work initiatives; strong attention to detail
- Written and spoken communication in English
- Experience leading tenders worth over USD1M
- Advanced Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, Conditional Formatting)
