About the Role
We are looking for a Day Service Co-ordinator to join our team and support people living with brain injury in our day centre located in Haggerston.
You will take responsibility for organising, delivering and co-producing activities in the centre, such as cooking lunch, discussion group, art, outings, and engaging members in a variety of other activities in response to the needs and interests of members. The role also involves providing advocacy and support (key working) for up to 20 members and ensuring the smooth running of the day service as a member of the co-ordinating team.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Activities in the centre:
1. Work closely with colleagues in the day service and other teams to support members to participate in a variety of activities, occupational projects, and therapies.
Key working:
2. Act as key worker for up to 20 members, checking in regularly about their engagement in the centre and their general wellbeing, and supporting them with information, advice, and advocacy as appropriate.
3. Establish and maintain contact with members’ families, carers, and relevant statutory partners to facilitate good communication and better provide appropriate support.
4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including comprehensive individual risk
assessments.
Day Service co-ordination:
5. Work closely with colleagues and volunteers in the day service and other teams at Headway East London to create a welcoming, supportive, and stimulating environment for members.
6. Share responsibility for practical tasks in the day service to ensure its smooth running.
7. Work sensitively with volunteers, supporting them alongside the Volunteer Lead to take on meaningful and rewarding roles in the day service.
8. Assist members with basic care requirements as required to facilitate their involvement in the day service in a way which preserves their dignity.
9. Carry out assessments and associated admin for new referrals to the Day Service to support new members to join.

About You:
To be successful as the Young Persons Advocate you will need the below experience and skills:
The post holder will have proven experience of working with children and young people and may have a background in youth work. They will have an excellent understanding of violence against women and girls, risk management and of best practice within the young people’s sector. As an experienced youth worker who has worked with young women and girls with complex and multiple needs, the post holder will be skilled in risk management and safety and support planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis.
Experience of direct work with young women and girls who have experienced abuse, and of working within safeguarding procedures is essential for this post, as is the need to adopt and promote a strong partnership approach to service provision.

About the role:
The Social Care IDVA will work within a dynamic, fast paced, crisis intervention, advocacy, and support service to ensure the voice of survivors informs every stage of the process, specialising in working with women whose families are involved with Family Children Services and risk to children is a factor. You will work to make proactive contact and provide high quality advocacy and support based upon a client led needs and risk assessment to women, focusing on working with those aged 18 and over who access the domestic abuse service. This role is part advocacy, part training/education and project work to improve response to victim/survivors experiencing domestic abuse. You will be embedded in the local authority Family Children Services team, working with Social Care professionals to ensure they adopt a trauma informed approach, can recognise the dynamics of domestic abuse and are providing more holistic support. You will be the domestic abuse subject matter expert on site, upskilling fellow professionals and acting as a point of contact for any clients experiencing domestic abuse and support requirements from Family Children Services.
The Social Care project was established in 2021 and has been working in partnership with Hammersmith and Fulham Family Children Services, so the IDVAs will inherit strong working relationships and a commitment from all parties to offering more trauma-informed services. The borough has a focus on prioritising and developing good DA work in social care and this is an opportunity to be a major player in institutional change, ensuring that women accessing Family Children services for their children have an improved experience and that the local authorities are leading the way for all survivors engaging with their services.

You will have an excellent understanding of domestic violence and its effects on women and children and of best practice within the domestic abuse in various areas of need, with particular knowledge on children safeguarding/legislation. As an experienced domestic violence advocate who has worked with complex and multiple needs, the post holder will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis. Experience of direct work with female survivors of domestic violence, of supporting women with child safeguarding, needs, and of working within safeguarding procedures is essential for this post, as is the need to adopt and promote a strong partnership approach to service provision.
To be successful as the Health and Social Care IDVA you will need the below experience and skills:
You will establish positive, proactive, and innovative working relationships with housing services and partner agencies.Provide high-quality crisis intervention, information, advocacy, and proactive support to women referred to the service, in respect to risk management and safety planning, criminal and civil remedies, housing, health, welfare rights, and children’s legislation.
Your abilities extends to assessing the needs and risks of survivors, carry out short and longer-term risk management, safety planning and support and identify and refer to services appropriate to their needs.Advising women of their rights and options for seeking help and support from other agencies and proactively advocate to ensure barriers to accessing support and protection are reduced. You will work as an advocate and educator to raise awareness and upskill professionals within Children Social Care plus work with colleagues to successfully develop and deliver training.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Children’s & Youth Worker to join our team at Oasis Church Waterloo, to work with our under-18s and their families. The postholder will have particular responsibility for developing the children’s and youth provision at Oasis Church Waterloo, leading the team delivering children’s and youth work on Sundays and also deepening relationships with our church families during the week. The Church Children and Youth Worker will also be responsible for developing and expanding the integrated children’s and youth provision across the Waterloo Hub, with significant input into developing school families support work and developing the staff and volunteer team.
Key responsibilities of this role will be:
· Working with our church ministers and volunteer children’s/youth team leaders to develop our children’s and youth work strategy, in line with the Hub Vision (and with the ethos and values of Oasis), that delivers holistic support for children and young people across the local community and recognises their hopes and aspirations.
· Working with our church ministers and children’s/youth workers across the Oasis Church Network to develop a curriculum for our work with under-18s in church.
- Encouraging the ethos of Oasis in the schools, supporting the development and delivery of Oasis Nine Habits resources.
The successful post holder must have:
· A relevant professional qualification in Youth & Community (JNC) or Teaching (QTS) or Social Work (QSW) at DipHE level or above, relevant NVQ (Level 3) or be able to demonstrate qualification by experience
· Proven experience in managing children’s work and youth work sessions
· Proven experience in management of volunteers

Purpose of role
The Fundraising & Development Worker is central to our mission. You will work directly with charities and not for profits across the UK, supporting their grants fundraising, primarily through:
- identifying appropriate funders and writing applications for charitable and statutory grants, and

Parameters

Key tasks
The Fundraising & Development Worker researches grant funding options using internal and external searchable databases for a caseload of charities and not for profit organisations. You will liaise with clients to agree a schedule for writing associated bids and to request information needed, and complete the agreed bids to schedule.
For external evaluations, you will develop an evaluation plan and agree this with the client. You will conduct the research as agreed, including interviews, focus groups and desk-based research, data analysis and drafting reports.
Communications tasks associated with the role include: answering email and telephone communications; compiling, publishing and administering our award-winning monthly free e-newsletter; meeting potential and actual clients to identify and understand their development needs; creating and managing Beware of the Bull’s social media output; and helping to update and maintain the company’s website.
Administrative and finance functions include: keeping accurate and up to date records of own work in line with company procedures; carrying out administrative tasks associated with training delivery; and other tasks commensurate with the post.

We are seeking a confident and experienced Modern Slavery Case Worker Assistant with a wide range of skills and importantly, a ‘can do’ approach.
As the Modern Slavery Case Worker Assistant, you will work as a member of a close and supportive team providing a safe environment for vulnerable adults from outside the UK who have experienced trauma and exploitation. You will provide high quality practical and emotional support to the residents within a risk assessed safe house setting. The role will involve assisting clients with increasing practical skills and self-confidence to empower and enable independent and safe living.
This service is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Applicants must be willing to work flexibly, which will include on-call duties.
You must have experience of working with vulnerable adults, the ability to work within a ‘risk associated’ environment and, ideally, experience of working within a residential or community setting with non-UK citizens.

Person Specification
Essential
A thorough understanding of domestic abuse and gender-based violence through a trauma informed and intersectional lens, including the impact and mitigation of vicarious trauma.
Be an experienced, highly skilled trainer with the ability to engage people through remote and in-person delivery.
Experience in managing training programmes, and with an absolute commitment to quality and client satisfaction
Ability to recruit, train and oversee a pool of sessional trainers.
Excellent communication, negotiation and advisory skills, both written and verbal when interacting with a range of agencies and individuals.
Motivate individuals and agencies to move through courses of action and decision-making processes
