ROLE DESCRIPTION
The PR is responsible for the preparation of a press kit and outreach communications to send to journalist and media companies to publish our news on their blogs, sites, socials etc.
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will create a pool of contacts on excel spreadsheet to use for press releases and media outreach on behalf of the organisation
Creating stories for several projects that are of clear benefit to the organisation including our films, music productions, acting for film workshops, artist development workshops for young people from different boroughs in West London. This role will work closely with project stakeholders, including young people organisations, funders and partners, probation officers, as well as collaborate with our Research and Performance and Collective Action departments to learn from our work and embed best practice.
This role will work closely with the Managing Director and project manager colleagues to lead our delivery portfolio through your story creations.
You will also promote our projects, recruit volunteers to support our promos and promote our programmes through the online platform such as YouTube, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
The PRO will be responsible for planning, delivering, and evaluating the success of online promotional programmes. They will work closely with a portfolio of partners to design meaningful online interventions for our beneficiaries, as well as leading on the recruitment of volunteers to promote programmes and the evaluation of programmes using the One Place vision of change.

What are we looking for?

Our Trustees play a vital role in making sure that The Sussex Reptile Rescue Centre achieves its core purpose. They oversee the overall management and administration of the charity.
They also ensure that The Sussex Reptile Rescue Centre has a clear strategy and that our work and goals are in line with our vision. Just as importantly, they support and challenge the exclusive team to enable The Sussex Reptile Rescue Centre to grow and thrive, and through this, achieve our charitable purpose:
To promote humane behaviour towards reptiles and amphibians by
providing appropriate care, protection, treatment and security for reptiles
which need care and attention by reason of sickness, maltreatment, poor
circumstances or Ill usage and to educate the public in matters pertaining
to reptile and amphibian welfare in general and the prevention of cruelty and suffering among reptiles.
All Trustees of The Sussex Reptile Centre are required to:
· Ensure that the organisation pursues its stated charitable objects as defined in the Governing Document, establishing a clear vision, set of values and strategy and ensuring that there is a common understanding of these by trustees, staff and associated personnel.
· Ensure that operational plans and budgets support the vision and strategy.
· Ensure that the Charity complies with the Governing Document and any relevant legislation and/or regulations. Such legislation includes:
-Animal Welfare act 2006
-Charities Act 2011
In addition to this, the trustees shall ensure that collaboration with the local authority is sought to obtain any appropriate licensing required under the Animal Welfare Act 2006 including any future changes requiring specific licensing for animal rescue centres.
· Support and provide advice on The Sussex Reptile Rescue Centre ’s purpose, vision, goals and activities.
· Approve operational strategies and policies and monitor and evaluate their implementation.
· Oversee The Sussex Reptile Rescue’s financial plans and budgets and monitor and evaluate progress.
· Ensure the effective and efficient administration of the organisation.
· Ensure that key risks are being identified, monitored and controlled effectively.
· Review and approve The Sussex Reptile Rescue’s financial statements.
· Provide support and challenge to The Sussex Reptile Rescue’s CEO in the exercise of their delegated authority and affairs.
· Keep abreast of changes in The Sussex Reptile Rescue operating environment.
· Contribute to regular reviews of [charity name]’s own governance. Attend Board meetings, adequately prepared to contribute to discussions.
· Use independent judgment, acting legally and in good faith to promote and protect The Sussex Reptile Rescue interests, to the exclusion of their own personal and/or any third party interests.

Zambia Orphans Aid UK (ZOA-UK) is looking for part-time volunteers to support our Digital & Communications work by giving three hours a week. The ideal candidate/s will have a passion for all things digital and an interest in international development. We are seeking people who have good digital understanding, a flare for design and experience of creating social media content across a range of platforms.
You will possess a positive attitude together with a proactive approach to problem solving. You will be home-based and have the freedom to set your own hours, so self-motivation is essential.
This post will support ZOA-UK’s communications and digital activities to increase the reach, profile and influence of the charity and build our brand as a leading charity supporting orphans and vulnerable children in Africa. Our volunteers support the small team to create a cohesive and effective approach to delivering our messages to target audiences, driving supporter engagement and donations, and raising awareness of the needs of orphans and vulnerable children in Zambia.
Range of likely duties to include:
1. Write up case studies and stories of change and ensure they and accompanying photographs and video footage are stored securely in our image and case study database
2. Help build our social media activity to achieve measurable outcomes in terms of raising awareness, and increasing numbers of supporters who convert to become donors
3. Use Canva to create inspiring content for social media channels – Instagram, facebook, X, linkedin etc
4. Create blogs, infographics and other content for the website, ZOA-UK’s supporter newsletters and annual report

Charitable Multi Academy Trust supporting students aged 3 to 25 with special educational needs across 6 schools in Greater Manchester and Warrington seeks 2 new trustees respectively with HR and marketing/business development experience to join our board. The Trust is at an exciting stage of development having recently taken on a new school and specialist FE college and about to open a new school in Warrington. About the Role
Being a Trustee for the CGD Society means you will use your skills and experience to support our charity, ensure we are achieving our aims and we are working towards our goals and mission. All Trustees are jointly responsible for any decisions made as well as defining and overseeing our strategy.
You will work closely with our dedicated staff to ensure the organisation operates effectively, efficiently and economically, with a culture that is positive, and focused on the needs of those it serves.
As well as attending Board meetings, Trustees are encouraged to join a subcommittee and use their skills to assist our staff and maximise effort in a specific area. Our current subcommittees cover Governance, Finance, Fundraising, Community and Medical.

Whilst these skills are desirable, we would like to hear from anyone who is interested in this role. A successful Trustee will be able to draw on a diverse range of technical and soft skills as well as their knowledge and passion.
