As a Family Separation Mentor, you will be providing emotional support and guidance to dads who are going through family separation, navigating child-arrangements within the family court system and need support with their mental well-being; especially those who may be experiencing suicidal ideation.

You will manage a caseload of clients and offer guidance with goal setting, communication skills, understanding their situation, planning child arrangements and preparing for family court proceedings, as well as building a positive co-parenting relationship.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

- Support a caseload of clients via regular phone conversations/teams calls offering appropriate guidance, building professional relationships and answering their queries. This may occasionally be face to face support*

- Answering inbound calls on the mentoring helpline to register and support new clients.

- Support clients with their mental wellbeing, through the use of, but not limited to, WEMWBS, Suicide Risk Assessments and Safety Plans.

- Being able to promote and signpost to other departments within Dads Unlimited to ensure our clients receive the support they require.

- Signposting and liaising with external organisations where appropriate, such as; Social Services, Mental Health Services, Police, Local Authority and Cafcass.

- Help promote and facilitate our Co-Parenting Workshop and Court Ready Workshop to our clients.

- General administration relating to client cases.

Quality Improvement Coordinator

The Quality Improvement Coordinator is a crucial role for the College as you will coordinate and project manage a range of activities within the QI team, including web portal upkeep, horizon scanning of QI and patient safety activity in paediatrics and child health as well as providing QI support for RCPCH members and QI event coordination. 

As Quality Improvement Coordinator, you will take the lead on the upkeep, revisions, growth and promotion of the QI Central and Patient Safety Portal websites and other associated webpages, including liaising with content providers.

Reporting to the Head of Quality Improvement, you will carry out four-nations environment and horizon scanning of quality improvement and patient safety activity relevant to paediatrics and child health, whilst exploring opportunities to improve our QI offer using insights from data analytics associated with the Patient Safety Portal and QI Central platforms, and shared learning from other QI projects.

In addition you will manage and plan contact from members via email, web-portals, our community/time banking suite and social media platforms, whilst also identifying opportunities to promote QI and patient safety in child health through these communications channels.

With a good standard of education, you should have relevant project coordination skills and demonstrable experience in desk research, including internet and database searches.

You should have strong organisational skills and proven experience of delivering multiple objectives to high standards within short time frames and meeting multiple deadlines, along with good communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills as you will frequently liaise with members, senior officers and staff. 

Your experience of design and production of digital communications and engagement resources in addition to your well-developed experience and knowledge of Microsoft applications will ensure you are capable of managing updates on our websites and social media platforms. 

Experience with website management, WordPress and Google Analytics as well as a background in supporting and coordinating external events, including face-face meetings, webinars and hybrid events, would be desirable. 

The Quality Improvement team supports paediatricians and the wider child health workforce to be at the forefront of continuous quality improvement, providing opportunities to develop and share their work and to co-produce solutions with children and young people, and their families.

The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health sets and maintains standards for the education and training of all doctors working in paediatrics and child health in the UK. Role summary

This role is to effectively engage with a diverse range of VCSE organisations and stakeholders in Cornwall through meetings, workshops, consultations, surveys, events, conferences etc. To strengthen our alliance-based model of engagement by expanding existing alliances and creating new ones.  To bring the voice of the sector into the new integrated care area forums and community area partnerships. To bring together the VCSE sector around pertinent issues, so they can meet the needs of their beneficiaries and achieve their organisational outcomes.   

Key Duties

• Manage and develop a range of thematic and place-based alliances, bringing together VCSE organisations to collaborate on shared community themes and challenges.
• Actively engage with integrated care areas, community area partnerships, and other strategic forums to amplify the voice of the VCSE sector. Ensure this engagement translates into actionable outcomes by integrating their insights into the planning, design, and execution of community-based services. For example, facilitate focus groups or workshops that allow grassroots VCSE feedback to be directly included in policy discussions, ensuring their needs and perspectives are supported.
• Be the first point of contact for fostering collaboration between the VCSE sector and public/private stakeholders, maximizing opportunities to collaborate and achieve shared priorities.

Person Specification

Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London.  All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment. Working Well Trust has been awarded the IPS Grow quality mark for it's neighbouring services and adheres closely to the principles of the IPS model in supporting people in to employment. This role will be working with clients who have mental health support needs, wanting to gain paid employment. 

We are expanding our Barking and Dagenham Individual Placement and Support (IPS) service and are recruiting for an Employment Advisor who will be placed at Beam Park Health Centre, Rainham. 

Experience of employment support is not essential, it is more important that you share our passion and commitment to employment as an integral aspect of wellbeing and supporting people to find the right job for them. You will receive training on the IPS model and in supporting people with mental health issues. We welcome applications from people with lived experience of mental health, either personally or through a close contact.

You need to have a desire to support people to achieve their employment goals, and the ability to multitask and manage your workload effectively. Good organisation skills are essential for this role, in addition to an interest in mental health, and the role it plays in the workplace. The successful candidate will need to become comfortable in approaching employers, and showcase the advantages of our service in order to work with them to recruit our clients to fill vacancies and sustain employment.

You will work with clients (managing a caseload) who have mental health support needs, to assist them in securing sustainable paid employment in line with their preferences. You will deliver the IPS approach (for which training will be given); providing person centred support and guidance to clients, whilst building positive relationships with local employers to enable clients to move into suitable employment.

You will work as part of a mental health team (NHS Trust) maintaining positive and integrated relationships, fostering a holistic approach to recovery through employment. You will work closely with clinical teams, providing a coordinated approach that always remains client led.  You will also be working to targets whilst maintaining a high-quality service.

WorkWell is an exciting new government/DWP initiative to get people back to work. As well as providing work placement support, it will also address and support any physical or mental health needs via a Mental Health Provider and Physical Health Advisor who form part of the team. The pilot in Surrey will be going live in December and aims to empower people to take control of their health, wellbeing and any impacts this is having on their employment via referral to a WorkWell Coach. That’s where you come in.

The Friends of Conquest Hospital CIO supports The Conquest Hospital by providing additional equipment and services that directly enhances the health, comfort and wellbeing of patients, their families, and hospital staff. We aim to ensure that patients receive the best level of care, diagnosis and treatment locally. Over the past decade, we have donated items and services totaling over £3.5m.

The General Manager is responsible for the overall management and operation of The Friends of Conquest Hospital, overseeing daily operations and leading the development and implementation of new opportunities for the charity.  Reporting to the Board of Trustees, the General Manager will work collaboratively to fulfill the charity’s objectives, driving various fundraising initiatives. This dynamic, hands-on role requires a blend of strong management and operational skills, fundraising capabilities, excellent communication and relationship-building abilities, and a genuine passion for enhancing local healthcare services. You will bring a "can-do" attitude, balancing business as usual with a visionary approach to the charity’s growth and sustainability. It is essential that the new CEO can demonstrate a deep understanding of the unique challenges rural communities face, ensuring RAD’s work is impactful and community-centered. 

The new CEO must have experience of successfully managing a team of staff, securing new income streams, and the development and delivery of services.
