What you’ll be doing

• The post holder will help advance Ukie’s policy work on aspects of UK and international policy impacting the games and interactive entertainment industry through:
• Monitoring policy changes and providing in-depth policy analysis, research, and reports for internal stakeholders.
• Relationship building and engagement with Ukie members and wider sector stakeholders, including attendance at internal and external stakeholder meetings and coalition industry groups.
• Support the Senior Policy Manager in research for Ukie’s external consultation responses, co-ordinating with members and facilitating internal forums for discussions on particular issues.
• Support in organising events and engagement with policy makers within Whitehall, Westminster, the Devolved Governments and with regional, combined and local authorities as well as with our global partners in the EU, US and further afield. 
• Assisting the policy and research teams with major public affairs projects and campaigns according to the UKIEs internal strategy and drawing on Ukie’s internal data and external partners where appropriate.
• Supporting and promoting Ukie at external political meetings, including our bi-annual Westminster Games Week.
• Support in raising the profile of Ukie and its significant policy priorities through external communications in partnership with the Ukie campaigns team, and through public scrutiny such as the use of written parliamentary questions.
• Acting as the lead point of contact for the APPG on Video Games and Esports to which Ukie acts as the secretariat and taking responsibility for liaising with its members.
• Lead on external policy communications such as the Ukie Policy Byte, the bi-weekly political newsletter, with support from Senior Policy Manager and Head of Policy where necessary.
• Be responsible for the team administration of internal stakeholder meetings, including sending out invites, taking minutes and preparing relevant material as well as maintaining up to date email lists of all stakeholders.

Relationship Management

• Develop and maintain relationships with games industry member businesses and a wide range of external bodies; including partner organisations, government officials and other trade bodies.
• Support the Senior Policy Manager and Head of Policy in the management of Ukie’s internal stakeholder groups – including Ukie’s policy group and its various working sub groups.
• Maintain stakeholder engagement trackers and act as a point of contact for external engagement with Parliamentarians, regional politicians and their offices.
• Support the Head of Policy and Chief Executive in any external engagements.
• Support the policy team and wider Senior Management team with other reasonable tasks as required

 Qualifications and experience required for this role 

Qualified by experience. You don’t need to hold a degree to apply for this role, but experience of working in a policy facing role, public affairs agency or regulatory environment would be advantageous. On-the-job training will be provided via Ukie or external providers where appropriate.

• Monday to Friday – 9.00am to 5.30pm
• Expectation that some evening and weekend work may be required to attend or run Ukie events as the business requires.

It's an exciting time to join World Cancer Research Fund International's policy team. In 2024, the organisation started undertaking proactive UK policy and public affairs to join our well-established international policy work. 

We are recruiting a Senior Policy and Public Affairs Officer to support the development of our policy and public affairs work in the UK and evidence-based policy for both our International and UK work. We will be developing a UK Policy and Public Affairs strategy for 2025 onwards, with several influencing opportunities in the pipeline.

World Cancer Research Fund International leads and unifies a network of cancer prevention charities based in Europe, the Americas and Asia and is responsible for cancer prevention science, policy, strategic and operational direction to the network charities.

We are looking for a candidate with a passion for delivering improvements to public health and cancer prevention through policy and public affairs, who has experience advising colleagues on political matter areas and the ability to maintain up to date knowledge on political issues. Experience of sourcing, scanning for, reviewing, assessing and analysing policy documents or legislation is also key. 

You will have significant professional experience in a UK policy and public affairs environment such as a charity or working in parliament - preferably in health - and a Bachelor degree (or Masters degree desirable) in public policy, public or global health, or health policy (e.g. policies on cancer, non-communicable diseases, food, obesity, physical activity) or other relevant subjects, or a Bachelor of Law.

The roles are an integral part of the day-to-day delivery of our Advice and Support Service, which has been re-shaped and went live in the summer of 2024. You should have experience of working within an advice setting and advice supervision framework such as the AQS framework. You will have a warm, supportive and person-centred approach, working alongside individuals in a holistic manner.

About the Role 

We are now recruiting for an experienced Policy and Public Affairs Specialist to lead on planning and delivering Hibiscus’ work on racial and intersectional inequalities in the Criminal Justice and Immigration systems. 

Development, research and report writing will be a key aspect of this role; the successful candidate will be responsible for drafting policy recommendations, reports, and consultation responses on issues related to Black and minoritised migrant women in contact with the Criminal Justice and Immigration systems. Supporting the Head of Policy and Public Affairs, they will engage and develop relationships with key political and parliamentary stakeholders, developing and delivering a variety of public affairs initiatives to inform decision-makers and influence policy in Criminal Justice, Immigration and Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) sectors. The post holder will prepare press releases and statements to address prison and immigration reforms, identifying the gaps of adequate support for women, and will analyse external and internal quantitative and qualitative data relevant to our work.

As part of the role, the Policy and Public Affairs Specialist will be responsible for raising awareness and creating content on the treatment of Black and minoritised migrant women within the Criminal Justice System. The post holder will identify opportunities for influence, monitor trends and developments, and prepare communications, reports and policy briefings to help ensure our work has an impact.

The post holder will also be responsible for leading Hibiscus’ partnership work on the Women’s Justice Reimagined project, advocating for the reimagination of the Criminal Justic System. They will build on Hibiscus’ policy work to raise our profile within advisory and working groups, creating alliances with other organisations in the sector and collaborating with other specialist and third-sector organisations to campaign for policy change and increase policy and decision-makers awareness of the issues Hibiscus works on.

About You

The successful candidate will have experience working in the UK political context to influence change, with demonstrable experience in developing and implementing public affairs strategies and building relationships with policy makers to inform decision making in government and across the Criminal Justice and Immigration sectors. 

The candidate will have knowledge and experience in collecting quantitative and qualitative research methods to produce evidence-based reports, press statements, and legislative policy briefings. This role is offered on a hybrid contract giving you the opportunity to also work from home three days a week.

Purpose of Role

As a Senior PR Officer, you will play an important role in planning and delivering creative national and regional PR strategies to promote fundraising and partnership activities for Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day 2025 campaign, that inspire people to get involved and demonstrate the life changing work donations make possible. 

You will work across a broad and exciting range of projects that creatively combine the worlds of entertainment and charity whilst driving income, awareness, and brand consideration at a time when the charity gets set to celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2025.

You will need to have a thorough understanding of the UK media landscape, feel confident in approaching journalists with new ideas and have proven success in generating quality print, online and broadcast coverage at both a regional and national level. 

Running Comic Relief’s busy Press Office alongside PR campaigns is a responsibility shared by all team members. You will be required to take an active role in managing media enquiries in a timely and accurate manner, media monitoring and evaluation, and join the on-call rota for out-of-hours and weekend support. 

This role may require occasional UK wide travel to manage media opportunities.

Connected Futures is Youth Futures’ systems change programme. It aims to foster joined-up solutions to the complex issues and barriers facing disadvantaged young people.

We are looking for a capable, proactive person to support the overall programme management approach for Connected Futures. The Senior Programme Support Officer will support the Head of Programmes to develop and deliver an approach to programme and project management across Connected Futures. The postholder will take the lead on specific tasks, and coordinate the work of the wider cross-organisational Connected Futures team.

You will liaise with external partners and stakeholders, as well as supporting multiple internal customers and workstreams, often to tight deadlines. You will support key external and internal engagement processes, working with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of meetings and capture key decisions and inputs to feed back into programme delivery.

This is primarily a project management role, enabling a cross-functional team to work effectively and efficiently together on a complex, fast-moving and high profile programme. As well as dealing with tasks as they emerge, you will work across the team to keep track of progress, identifying any issues and risks, and enabling the Head of Programmes and other internal stakeholders to gain an overview of the programme as a whole.

This role is fixed term to January 2026 and can be based at any of our hubs located in London, Birmingham or Leeds.  We currently operate a hybrid model of two-days per week in the office and three-days from home.

Sounddelivery Media is a dynamic charity that seeks to amplify lived experience stories and expertise to address social inequalities. We work alongside people with direct experience of injustice and inequality to advocate for themselves and their communities.

Our Spokesperson Network constitutes a network of media savvy spokespeople, who have direct experience of social injustices. Developed collaboratively with a network of leaders with lived experience, it aims to diversify the voices we hear in the media and make it more representative of the society we live in. Through training, media mentoring, peer support and speaking opportunities, we tackle the barriers that prevent these experts from engaging with journalists who have the power to influence coverage and ultimately drive change.

Members of our network have spoken on all the major news outlets from BBC Newsnight, BBC Radio Four, ITV News, to the Times, the Guardian, places where they can reach audiences of millions and have influenced documentaries and a storyline for a high profile drama. They’ve become part of policy and advisory conversations: APPGs (All Party Parliamentary Groups), Governmental select committees, speaking at Party Conferences and joining advisory panels.

Our work additionally seeks to support the wider charity sector to develop and amplify lived experience stories and expertise themselves. We work closely with charities to help them develop and train their own panels and spokespeople and are currently facilitating Future Voices, a unique spokesperson training programme for migrant domestic workers in partnership with The Voice of Domestic Workers.

Our Media and Community Engagement Lead offers a fantastic opportunity to work closely with an incredible network of leaders.

This is a full time role (although we would consider a 4 day week) with 2 days a month minimum working with the team in London.

Role Overview:

You will provide strategic support to our dynamic Spokesperson Network of leaders with direct experience of social injustices, through;

Managing our existing media relationships, and developing new ones, to create opportunities for our network of confident public spokespeople to be visible
This role will enable us to increase the visibility and impact of our programme participants and their communities by engaging with journalists, media professionals, and other influential platforms. You will be responsible for broadening speaking opportunities, such as broadcast interviews, opinion pieces, and identifying potential storyline collaborations across various media outlets. You’ll also seek opportunities to feature our network in public forums like TEDx talks, conferences, and other platforms that influence public conversations.

Empowering Network members through training and support to develop and maximise media opportunities themselves.
In addition to media engagement, you will play a key role in empowering our network to create and share their own content. This includes helping participants build confidence and develop skills in content creation (eg vlogs), and pitching to the media, ensuring their voices reach those in positions to drive meaningful change.

Building trusted relationships with lived experience leaders in a ethical, trauma-aware, and holistic way
You will work closely with our community to activate and strengthen our network, driving collective action and amplifying the important issues they are addressing. Building trusted relationships with lived experience leaders is key, and you will ensure that all engagement is grounded in ethical, trauma-aware, and holistic support.

Sharing knowledge with other charities supporting Spokesperson Networks
You will help share what we learn through our work with other charities and learn from them too. Using peer-led sessions to share best practice, challenges and ideas for charities working to amplify the voices of people with direct experience of social injustice.

As a small but growing charity, this is an exciting opportunity to shape the direction of our organisation alongside a supportive trustee board, a dedicated team of four staff, and a group of skilled freelancers. Your contribution will be integral to our mission and the positive change we aim to create.

What You’ll Be Doing –  Key responsibilities:

-Taking the lead on strategic media engagement across all our programmes of work- maximising and creating media and speaking opportunities for our members

-Nurture and grow our network of journalists, updating them about our work and the issues our networks are speaking on through regular and responsive communications

-Supporting our community to feel confident and prepared for interviews, honing their media messages and accompanying them to interviews where appropriate. 

-Regularly engaging our community and being a sounding board to help to develop their ideas 

-Proactively source longer-term opportunities for the issues our community addresses to be more visible in the public eye this could include building relationships with soap storyliners and documentary makers. 

-Support the team on Sounddelivery Media events that increase the visibility of our community and our work

-Support with delivery of media training and coaching on our programmes. 

-Work with the communications team on content- ensuring messaging is impactful in blogs 

-Participate in our peer-led meetings to share our learning and invite guest speakers to share theirs.

-Contribute insights on our media work for reporting to Funders and Trustees

What skills and experience you’ll have:

Essential

-Experience at a senior level working in media relations within a charity, journalism or similar.

-Significant experience of developing and maintaining good relationships with a range of journalists and media professionals;

-A sharp understanding of what makes a strong story with experience of pitching stories and ideas to journalists

-A confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills 

-IT literate with multimedia experience – video, audio, visual content (or willing to learn)

Desirable

-Experience of working with people who are using lived experience of social injustice to affect change including excellent understanding of safeguarding and risk management

Join Pyramid as our Development Manager and drive positive change! We're looking for a dynamic individual to help us shape the future of inclusive arts by growing Pyramid’s revenue streams and public profile. This is a new opportunity to deliver real impact, working in a senior leadership role to secure new funding, build partnerships, and ensure financial stability. You’ll lead on developing grant applications, coordinating fundraising efforts, and managing our public-facing content and profile. 

This is a new role at Pyramid which supports business development by focusing on fundraising and increasing public awareness of our work. In this role, you will be responsible for generating, growing, and retaining revenues from new and existing channels (including public and private donations, fundraising events, private sector partnerships and public funding schemes).  Liaising with the Director, you will identify and develop funding bids, contracts, and tenders, as well as other sources of income, to enable Pyramid to thrive and grow. You will take responsibility for Pyramid’s public profile, including social media accounts, news articles on its website and press releases, assisted by the Marketing and Communications Officer, whom you will line-manage.

Purpose of the post

• To work alongside the Director and Board of Trustees to develop and implement a revenue generation strategy which grows and diversifies Pyramid’s income streams, supporter base and public profile.
• To support Pyramid’s current and future financial stability by identifying and accessing a wide range of funding streams, including (but not limited to) corporate sponsorship, grants, contracts, commissions, philanthropy, and donations.
• To seek out and initiate opportunities to expand our networks, identifying and engaging with potential new projects, supporters, and influencers.
• To monitor and review Pyramid’s activities in relation to income and impact, and to make recommendations for change and development where appropriate.
• To supervise and collaborate with the Marketing and Communications Officer in developing suitable content to build Pyramid’s public profile, and directly support fundraising efforts by ensuring our website, social media channels and print material are kept up to date with fundraising news and activities that inspire engagement and giving.

Main tasks:

Strategic

• Responsibility for overseeing and delivering on specific action plans / areas within plans related to business growth and development and monitoring / reporting on progress.
• To monitor and analyse sectoral developments and changes, identifying both opportunities and risks and taking appropriate action.

Financial

• To diversify Pyramid’s revenue streams, with a focus on building unrestricted income.
• To work with the Director to prepare budgets, cashflow forecasts and spending reports, and to present finance information to the Trustees, members, and other stakeholders as appropriate.
• To co-write funding applications and monitoring / evaluation reports with the Director.
• To ensure compliance with funder agreements and that contractual obligations are met.

Engagement

• To work collaboratively with Pyramid’s voluntary Fundraising Team, coordinating and supporting their activities as appropriate.
• To ensure a strong online presence and that high-quality print information is made available for fundraising and business initiatives.

Administrative

• To coordinate the fundraising workload of staff by developing, maintaining, and monitoring the fundraising pipeline and timelines for all sources of income.
• To maintain accurate and comprehensive financial records and documentation relating to funding streams, and income and expenditure.
• To monitor and report on public engagement with fundraising campaigns and strategies.

Operational

• To make arrangements for and at fundraising events, exhibitions, and functions.
• To line manage the Marketing and Communications Officer and be accountable for the day-to-day responsibilities of the Marketing and Communications Officer.
• To attend and contribute to the regular meetings of staff, trustees, and sub-committees as needed.

General

Fundraising
* Lead on developing Our Special Friends' new fundraising strategy, to identify what income stream/s can support our work

* You will build a network of donors and volunteer supporters and influencers within the local community to generate income and raise our profile

Communications and Operations
* Lead systems and processes across fundraising, including due diligence processes and donor management
