Senior Family Support Team Leader, 28 hours per week, £38,372 per annum, pro-rata (including London weighting).  Westminster / Kensington & Chelsea.  Fixed term to end March 2026

This is a highly rewarding role for a Senior Team Leader to manage and coordinate the Outreach and Befriending service, which include volunteer face-to-face befriending support in the home and community, and peer phone/virtual support sessions. The outreach service will target families from the DWP two-year list and New Birth lists as well as managing supervision of complex family caseloads in partnership with Children’s Centres/Family HUBS, midwifery, health teams and mental health services. The postholder will also support and manage other projects as required by Westminster/ Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea.

We are looking for someone who has project management experience including monitoring progress against objectives, managing budget as well as experience of managing staff and volunteers. Excellent I.T skills and the ability to plan, prioritise and deliver in tight timescales are essential.

You are required to have experience of writing reports to a high standard, as well as experience of working with a diverse range of people, including those experiencing deprivation.  Experience of safeguarding and commitment to equal opportunities and diversity are essential.

Safe Passage International (SPI) is recruiting an Arrivals and Social Support Worker to support to continuing and sustainable growth in our ground-breaking work to ensure that safe routes to sanctuary exist for all people seeking asylum, and that the young people and families we work with have dignity and safety on arrival.

This Arrivals and Social Support Worker will work with young people and families to support them in their reunification and arrival to the UK. This legal casework is facilitated by our UK Legal Team and covers a range of geographic regions inside and outside of Europe, including responding to emerging crises such as working to support people fleeing Afghanistan, Ukraine, Sudan and Palestine.

Reunification and resettlement is a difficult process. This role will involve conducting pre-arrival needs assessments, preparing the family for the reunification, and supporting them after they arrive in the UK. The Arrivals and Social Support Worker will also help young people and families transition into their new life, by supporting them with the practical and emotional aspects of resettling in the UK. You will work with the family and professionals and act as a bridge into longer term services and support. This role will also provide social support on a case-by-case basis for others in vulnerable situations, including family members pre-arrival, as well as to those on our Young Leaders Programme. This is a challenging and extremely rewarding role for candidates with a good understanding of the challenges young people and refugees face on arrival to the UK.

• Social welfare advice social prescribing: Specialist support delivered by a qualified social welfare advisor to address housing and benefit needs.
• Mental Health Community Connectors: Supporting people with serious mental illness (SMI) to achieve better mental health and wellbeing, increasing independence and reducing reliance on services.
• Community self-referrals: Designated link worker receiving social prescribing self-referrals from the Centre.

role will be working directly with charity beneficiaries - parents and carers of children with serious and complex health

The Family Engagement Coordinator is vital to the success of the WellChild Family Tree Network. This is a growing network

Working within the Family Team and as part of the wider Programmes team this role will report to the Family Programme

of and delivering a well-defined WellChild Family Tree membership experience that attracts and engages families from

The Night Shelter Manager is responsible for the following:

• The day-to-day operation and management of nights shelters in West and Southwest London. Maintaining a friendly, supportive environment and cultivating positive relationships with guests, colleagues and volunteers.
• Welcoming and inducting new guests into the shelter by explaining the shelter policies.
• Supporting volunteer teams at each venue to ensure the smooth running of the project and developing good communication with the Volunteer Co-ordinators.
• Diffusing difficult or dangerous situations and summon assistance when necessary. Training will be provided.
• Ensuring cleaning protocols are implemented by all staff, guests and volunteers.
• Maintaining guest attendance records and shift reports on our iPad-based In-From client relationship platform.
• Following best practice procedures for the security and safety of the guests and volunteers.
• Monitoring guest welfare throughout the shift and responding to any situations or emergencies that arise. Adhering to Glass Door’s operational and health & safety policies in all aspects of your work.

Essential

•  Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive the shelter van.

About the Role:

The Assessment Coordinator is the conduit for young people to access the youth accommodation pathway in Greenwich.  As well as triage and intake, the role supports young people by navigating their journey either by facilitating their safe return home, or into longer term suitable supported accommodation.

You will provide specialist assessment and interventions for a designated caseload. You will provide mediation where needed and advise/ facilitate restorative work with the young person and their family. 

About you:

• You have two years’ experience of assessing the needs of young people in a residential/ accommodation setting. 
• Proven experience and skills in delivering casework and planned support for young people. 
• A strong understanding and practical knowledge relating to issues that typically disrupt progress in journeys towards independence.  E.g. mental health, substance use, self-harm, domestic violence, anger management etc 
• Evidence an ability to navigate between and across specialties whilst working with clients to create a multi-agency support plan. 
• The ability to work within systems and families, to enable young people (that can) to return home.

We are currently looking for a Parent/Family worker, to join our dynamic, ambitious team.

A key part of this role will be your ability to ensure that you support families and carers whose children are going missing, or coming home late. Senior Church Buildings Officer

Hours: Full time – 35 hours/week

Salary: £45,000 pa pro rata

Location: Based in our Office in North Bristol

We are seeking an extraordinary person to lead our talented Church Buildings Team here at the Diocese of Bristol! This is a new and exciting role that is key to delivering on our Transforming Church. Together Strategy.

You will be leading a small team that work with our Parishes and the Diocesan Advisory Committee to support with project, faculty consents and property management guidance.

The role is diverse covering rural, urban, modern, and historic Church buildings, halls and grounds for parishes who often face significant repair liabilities or building layouts and facilities that are no longer suited to their needs.

We’d love to hear from you if you have great interpersonal skills, a built environment or development project background and a clear understanding of Church buildings and their purpose within the future facing Church and the wider community.

An exciting opportunity to be part of a LGBT+ support service.The successful candidate will provide effective person-centred support to LGBT+ people living in Causeway’s specialist LGBT+ supported housing.Support clients to achieve tangible progress in areas such as tenancy management, independent living skills and training/education.Support LGBT+ clients to develop greater self-esteem and self-confidence. Equip clients for independent living and move-on to more independent accommodation.Develop support plans with individual clients that reflect their ambitions and aspirations with clear actions for achieving these. Contribute to risk assessment and safeguarding plans. Ensure clients settle into their accommodation and become familiar with the local area. Work closely with the Housing Team to ensure residents are complying with the terms of their occupancy agreements. Contribute to client involvement within the LGBT+ supported housing service. Be aware of trauma informed working, particularly with regard to trauma experienced by LGBT+ people. Ensure clients are linked into appropriate support services and sustain engagement with services.
