About the role
This vacancy is for a University Access Officer to work in Oasis Academy Hadley and Lilian Baylis Technology School.
The University Access Officer works with school staff at all levels, volunteer tutors, and with the rest of The Access Project’s team to ensure that the delivery of the programme is optimised.
Role responsibilities
- Work directly with students in a professional and safe manner
- Engage with students in school and enrol them onto the programme
- Match students with volunteer tutors
- Monitor student attendance to tutorials and devise innovative solutions to encourage attendance
- Assess student progress towards being able to make successful university applications
- Upload information onto the Salesforce database (training is provided)
- Monitor the impact of tutorials, and intervene as appropriate
- Build and manage relationships with volunteer tutors to ensure they have a positive experience of the programme
- Manage tutor attendance to tutorials through weekly monitoring systems
- Work with school staff to ensure their cooperation and timely completion of activities contributing to the smooth running of the programme
- Chair and present at termly school meetings with Senior Management to report on programme progress.
- University Access Officers support the volunteering team by helping to deliver tutor training sessions, and attending university site visits, which take place on occasional Saturdays and weekday evenings (paid time off is provided).

Training and Development
You will be provided with regular monthly training so that you can develop your skills and succeed in the role. There is support from your line manager (Programme Manager), as well as guidance from more senior University Access Officers and the wider University Access Officer team across The Access Project. - To be accountable for achieving agreed outcomes, outputs and personal targets – including recruitment, employability training and learner progression targets
- To manage a caseload of participants requiring Information, Advice & Guidance (IAG), confidence building and employability training

About the role
The role of the Project Officer - Legal Services (POLS) is to support the PBLS team’s mission to advance the UN SDGs by brokering pro bono legal assistance from legal experts in support of international NGOs globally. The POLS will do this by coordinating the internal processes for project sourcing, scoping and allocating, and utilising legal expertise within these processes and when providing external training and communications.
A key focus of this role is to source and scope out the weekly pro bono projects and forms. The POLS will also engage law firms and other legal stakeholders, conduct due diligence, allocate projects, maintain project records, gather feedback, prepare internal reports and external communications and undertake other administrative tasks as necessary (e.g. updating software and implementing process changes). About the role
The Senior Project Officer will be supporting the delivery and documentation of Sightsavers’ ELFA project. You will collaborate with District Local Governments (DLGs) across all Lymphatic Filariasis (LF) endemic regions of Mozambique. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that LF elimination project activities are meticulously planned, implemented, monitored, evaluated, and documented in accordance with the highest standards outlined in Sightsavers’ Programme & Implementation Manual (PIM).
Responsibilities
- Support partners in managing all aspects of the project cycle, including planning, implementation, monitoring, learning, adaptation, and evaluation.
- Work with partners to identify technical support needs for LF elimination estimates.
- Ensure project activities align with WHO guidelines and MoH of Mozambique standards.
- Implement project activities according to Sightsavers’ standards and quality assessment tools (QSAT).
- Coordinate transition and advocacy work with the government for project sustainability.
- Uphold gender, equity, social inclusion, value for money, and sustainability in interventions through integrated plans.
- Ensure routine data collection, entry, cleaning, and storage meet program needs and Sightsavers’ standards.
- Review and provide feedback on data collection methodologies and documentation protocols.

Jobholder Requirements
Essential:
- A tertiary qualification (bachelor’s or above) in social sciences, public health, development studies, or equivalent.
- Demonstrable experience in implementing programmes, particularly health programmes and/or neglected tropical disease programmes with a focus on elimination.
- Experience in managing and guiding project teams to successful project implementation.
- Knowledge of the WHO LF approach to elimination.
- Experience working with Provincial and District Local Governments health departments.
- Demonstrated experience with statistical and data analysis packages (SPSS, STATA, Excel, Power BI).
- Prior experience in qualitative and quantitative data collection.
- Advanced computer skills in MS Office programs, particularly Excel.
- Knowledge and experience of working with district local governments and district health systems.
- Knowledge and experience of the NGO sector.

About the role
The role of the Project Officer - International Development (POID) is to support the PBLS team’s mission to advance the UN SDGs by brokering pro bono legal assistance from legal experts in support of international NGOs. We do not expect you to have direct experience of mentoring nor working with young carers but we do expect you to have empathy, good listening skills and a strong knowledge of the needs and common challenges of young people aged 14-16 with a desire to make a real difference in their lives.
You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong partnerships with community organisations and to generate and maintain steady referrals to the programme. You will be required to assess young carers’ needs and in conjunction with the other Mentoring Project Officer, deliver one-to-one and group support to the mentees, carefully monitoring their progress. Further to this, you will be responsible for responding to safeguarding concerns and maintaining strong professional boundaries.
