We are looking for a Senior Manager – Policy, Government & Evidence Generation. This is a key role for Youth Futures Foundation as a What Works Centre. Reporting to the Head of Public Policy, but working closely with Evaluation and Public Affairs colleagues, this is a unique role, sitting at the intersection of our policy, government relations and evidence generation work. The work of the Public Policy team will focus on the following strategic themes for the organisation:
- Barriers and Discrimination in Employment
- Place based change
- Mental Health and Wellbeing
- Early Intervention and Transition
- Apprenticeships and Vocational Training
- Employment Support Programmes
You will lead and manage our work in two key macro areas:
- Evidence generation opportunities – Engaging with national and local government on evidence generation partnership opportunities, working with the Evidence and Evaluation team to identify new opportunities and supporting the brokerage of trials to test interventions to support marginalised young people.
- Regional policy – Managing our policy work with regional and local government across the youth employment agenda
This role can be based at any of our hubs located in London, Birmingham or Leeds. We currently operate a hybrid model of two-days per week in the office and three-days from home.

Responsibilities
- Finance business partner to project teams and country offices, offering financial management support.

The Role

The role will manage these two inspiring networks of volunteers, growing the volunteer base; providing advice; supporting them to take action in their local community; supporting them to promote Keep Britain Tidy’s campaigns; developing online support systems; and measuring and communicating the impact of the work they do.

IPS Grow is a national programme designed to support the expansion of Individual Placement and Support (IPS) services in mental health and drug & alcohol teams across England. It is funded by NHS England and Improvement (NHSE/I), the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), and Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID). A core element of the programme is the expert assistance provided by a team of IPS experts, known as IPS Grow Leads, to support providers to improve their fidelity to the IPS model and achieve better employment outcomes for their clients. The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity to expand the IPS Grow team, aimed at helping health systems deliver high quality evidence-based employment practice. We are a well-established service, led by Social Finance and are funded by NHS England and DWP to support the expansion of IPS services across mental health and drug and alcohol teams.

This role will include providing project and administrative support to the team to ensure we have real impact. The role will report into the Team Head for IPS Grow.
Responsibilities
The key requirements of the role are:
Provide project support and coordination of IPS fidelity reviews:

Support the coordination of IPS fidelity reviews;

Support with collection and collation of data, helping generate insight and contribution to the evaluation of our work and of the services we support. This may also include data entry and contributing to standard reports;

Provide support of team events and workshops, both internal and with the services we support;

Provide ad hoc support to other aspects of the team’s project work and take on special projects, as required.
Provide administrative support to the programme:

Support the Senior team within IPS Grow, with project planning and monitoring to ensure the programme remains on track;

Produce documents such as monthly reports which may require collation of input from multiple parties and documents and compiling into spreadsheets or presentation slides, in collaboration with members of the Senior team;

Provide support for co-ordination of IPS qualification delivery and professional registration;
-
Liaise with regional leads, NHS Trusts and IPS providers and other key stakeholders as required;

Support the delivery of specific administrative tasks and processes including minuting and action-log management of meetings and Boards;

Coordinate diaries, schedule meetings and book rooms with internal and external parties, including arranging for materials and equipment to be available, as required;

Support IPS Grow Leads to schedule complex meetings in their regions;

Monitor team mailbox and act as a first line response for queries;

Book travel and accommodation, including group bookings (e.g., trains, hotels) for the team;

Manage expenses generated by travel and meeting bookings on internal systems, accurately and in a timely manner;

Support the team knowledge management hub and operational manual whilst ensuring a clear document version control and management process in place;
Provide additional administrative support as required from time to time;

Manage the creation of impactful presentations that communicate key messages to stakeholders.

About this vital role
Our successful candidate’s focus will be to provide operational management support across one or more contracts awarded by the HMPPS to deliver Finance, Benefit and Debt (FBD) services in Wales. This will see you provide leadership and operational management support in debt and welfare benefits to a team of Financial Wellbeing Coaches (FWCs), Team Leaders and Administration team employed in the delivery of the contracts, and to plan and support the day-to-day workload for the team and setting performance objectives with the team and monitor progress.
You will also be expected to monitor and manage all aspects of delivery and performance to ensure compliance with policy and procedures and to manage partnerships including local and national delivery partners and any agencies with whom we are developing referral arrangements. The Energy Neighbours Project Coordinator enables all staff and organisations involved in the project to work together effectively. The Coordinator works with the Project Manager to develop effective, safe ways of working that make the best use of resources.
The Coordinator ensures the quality and effectiveness of record keeping, risk management and joined-up planning across the project. They help the team work together on planning work and preparations for forums, conferences and reporting. The Coordinator provides support to ensure that the project’s safeguarding, health & safety, finance and contracting arrangements are implemented across the team. They manage the office and equipment.
NOTE: We want to build good team relationships and connections with locla community organisations, so most of the work is expected to be in person. However, some home working is possible by arrangement.

1. JOB PURPOSE
AKF(UK) Partnerships Managers are part of the Global Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) Partnerships team tasked with identifying and cultivating new funding partnerships and strengthening existing ones to support our strategic goals. They engage with European and Asian government, foundation, and corporate donors to mobilise resources for ten multisector profit and not-for-profit agencies of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) operating across Asia and Africa. In addition, Partnership Managers are responsible for a portfolio of select grants implementing across AKDN themes and geographies in close collaboration with field units, global teams, and our partners.

4. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND CORE TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
4.1 Securing resources
- Coordinate, facilitate, and lead the development, review, and quality assurance of expressions of interest, concept notes and full proposals for funding opportunities;
- Liaise and coordinate with internal stakeholders as well as with donors, partners, and consortia to facilitate project design, align proposal and donor requirements, gather required legal and administrative documentation, and draft sections of proposals as needed;
- Coordinate processes of contracting and negotiation, engaging relevant stakeholders, and ensuring contracts ‘get over the line’ in a timely and efficient way;
- When needed, provide direct hands-on support at field level in design of concept notes, proposals, and budgets and conduct donor or field visits to support discussions with new and existing donors/partners;
- Contribute to management systems, such as the Award Information Management System (AIMS).
4.2 Grant management
- Manage and monitor a portfolio of grants through regular interface and coordination with AKF(UK)’s partnerships team, AKF(UK)’s finance team and relevant AKF/AKDN agencies/field units, acting as a central resource for field units in donor best practice;
- Interface with donors and communicate on a regular basis about the implementation of on-going grants to ensure strong, enduring relationships;
- Ensure strong relationship cultivation throughout the grants cycle, anticipate, and plan for future funding and project extensions;
- Oversight, coordination, review, and quality assurance of donor deliverables (e.g. work plans, monitoring and evaluation plans, staffing plans, budgets, close-out plans, donor troubleshooting);
- Ensure adherence with donor requirements, rules, and regulations, and that grant deliverables are produced on time and to a high standard;
- Coordinate contractual amendments, changes, and project adaptations, engage with donors in a pro-active and diplomatic way, and flag potential changes (e.g. budget revisions, extensions, risks) in advance to ‘trouble shoot’ and ensure smooth project implementation;
- Facilitate grant monitoring efforts including routine coordination meetings, donor steering committees, donor project visits, and donor monitoring missions;
- Undertake coordination and administrative tasks related to grants and support the maintenance and update of grant management tools and tracking systems such as AIMS.
4.3 Donor engagement and positioning
- Support the partnership unit in researching, sourcing relevant information, and performing analysis of market trends on new donors, peer organisations, and funding opportunities to identify potential funding and partnering matches for AKF and AKDN priorities;
- Work with country teams, AKDN agencies, and the Global Programmes Team (GPT) to identify, build, and support strategic partnerships on aligned global and regional initiatives, innovations and themes with likeminded donors and partners;
- Develop positioning materials (e.g. presentations, capability statements, briefs, talking points), collaborating with communications teams, to enable effective donor engagement;
- Engage with new and existing donors and partners to identify solicited and unsolicited funding opportunities;
- Guide teams to make informed, effective decisions on which opportunities to pursue (including ‘Go No-Go’ requests);
- Identify, cultivate, and pre-position with partner organisations to form or join consortia focused funding bids;
- Conduct due diligence on new partners in coordination with finance and partnerships teams.
4.4 Influencing development and communicating practical lessons and results
- Support the influencing of the development sector by convening and participating at events (e.g. conferences, roundtables, policy forums) to share lessons, innovations and knowledge about our programmes that position us as ‘thought leaders’;
- Engage communications teams to identify opportunities and support the development of content (e.g. social media campaigns, videos) that promote AKF and AKDN’s work and position us as ‘partners of choice’ in the sector. Carry out any other duties as assigned by the Deputy Regional Director of Partnerships or Regional Director of Partnerships.

5.1 Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree essential;
- Postgraduate degree in a relevant field preferrable.
5.2 Skills

5.4 Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working in international organisations or donor agencies, including field-level implementation or management, and at least 5 total years of professional experience;
- Experience in resource mobilisation and developing relationships, including direct experience with European (EU, Germany, Norway, Sweden, UK) and Asian donors;
- Experience in developing and writing donor proposals and arguments, business cases, concept papers, briefs, executive summaries, as well as coordinating multiple inputs from a variety of sources, and simultaneously managing a variety of relationships;
- Experience developing budgets and business plans;
- Proven success in managing grants in complex organisations with numerous stakeholders.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Support Officer to join our Wellbeing Team and work on our long-standing Warm Homes programme. The role is being offered on a fixed-term contract until 31st December 2025.
The successful candidate will be working closely with Age UK's Network of 120+ local and independent Age UK partners, this role will support the delivery of projects across their life cycle, ranging from the implementation of funder-led reporting requirements to liaising with partners on the impact the project has had on their beneficiaries. This role will provide support and assist in the delivery of our Warm Homes programme, aimed at supporting older people affected by fuel poverty and cold homes.
As a Project Support Officer, you will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and will demonstrate exceptional organisational skills to ensure the successful delivery of the projects.
You will carry out a range of duties to assist the team in the coordination, planning, monitoring, and delivery of the Programme. From researching and meeting with relevant suppliers and organisations, to assisting with the development and maintenance of project plans. The post-holder will need to work effectively with our other internal departments, local Age UKs and delivery partners. Therefore, proficient organisational and communication skills are a must.
Please note that due to the Hybrid nature of this role, the successful applicant may be required to commute to the central London co-working hub on a regular basis, for example around three times per month.
As part of the interview process all candidates will be required to carry out an Excel based task.
We anticipate the interviews will be held via MS Teams w/c 9th December 2024.
