AMOSSHE The Student Services Organisation is looking for a new Head of Engagement and Operations. In this role you’ll support our Executive Director in leading AMOSSHE as a senior leader. You’ll be responsible for handling operational management, which includes acting as the Deputy Director for the organisation. You’ll oversee strategic areas involving member engagement, ensuring the effective delivery of our membership services, and driving strategic initiatives. You’ll have line management responsibilities for the team. This is a new role and an opportunity to make a real difference to our professional association.

• Contract type: Permanent, full time (37 hours a week).

About the role

Working at a strategic level, you will have overall responsibility for identifying and securing the income streams to support the activity of this newly formed organisation (merger of 3 local Citizens Advice offices), working the Chief Executive and other members of the management team. The Church Engagement team sits within the External Engagement Department, which covers areas including communications, publications and resources, press and media, digital content and marketing, fundraising appeals, church engagement, events and volunteers. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role will allow you to make a real difference to the lives of millions of people in the Middle East and North Africa.  You will help to manage, maintain and increase income and engagement through the following key responsibilities:

·Work with the team to implement strategies for growing key areas of income and engagement with churches and individuals, maintaining prospect lists, communicating with churches to resource and increase engagement.

·To manage, motivate and support a diverse team in different geographical locations and working patterns.

Veterans Outreach Support (VOS) has secured funding from the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust to expand the Thrive Together programme (formerly VPPP) across the South East. This initiative connects veterans' support agencies, ensuring seamless pathways, safe spaces for veterans, and training for volunteers and staff working in veterans' mental health. They are now seeking a Families & Carers Outreach Officer to explore the challenges of reaching out to families and carers of veterans to improve the way that this support can be delivered.

VOS is an award-winning charity that offers welfare, wellbeing and mental health support and services to veterans of the UK Armed Forces and Merchant Navy in Portsmouth, Hampshire, and the Isle of Wight. VOS provide a drop-in model of support, a welfare advice service, peer-supported wellbeing activities and social groups, with access to psychology, psychiatry, and therapy services.

The Families & Carers Outreach Officer will collaborate with the Thrive Together Portfolio Manager and VOS team to identify and improve outreach to families and carers of veterans, many of whom may not know they’re entitled to support.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• Experience with identifying, planning, running, and evaluating pilot projects, research groups, and focus groups, while managing timelines. 
• Skills in sharing learnings and recommendations based on feedback, creating ways to measure service effectiveness, and gathering feedback for continuous improvement.
• Comfortable working with diverse communities, understanding their needs, and building solid relationships. Knowledge of or experience with the UK veteran community would be an advantage but is not essential.

What the job involves

This is a unique chance to play a pivotal role in driving impactful external communication strategies that support Individual Giving and Events and Community Fundraising. As a key player in the Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Brand team, you’ll enable the integration of mass fundraising activities into wider organisational communications, inspiring action to fund life-saving initiatives that help men navigate prostate cancer.

Supporting the Head of Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Brand in embedding and developing our Business Partnering model. A major part of the role will be enabling the integration of Mass Fundraising activity into the wider communications plan to enhance results from our communications.

You’ll guide the planning process for projects and campaigns to grow fundraising revenue, support our community and improve outcomes for all men affected by and at risk of prostate cancer.

Please note this role is known internally as Communications Business Partner (Mass).

You’ll have proven expertise in communications business partnering, with experience in mass or public fundraising. Working within our Strategic Communication team, you’ll have a strong understanding of campaign planning tools like OASIS and a solid grasp of PR, social media, and integrated marketing strategies. You’ll be an exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences in particular mass fundraising engagement.

As natural collaborator, you’ll have skills in influencing, coaching and motivating teams to achieve ambitious results within project management.

The Health Collective is one of our central campaigns. It has emerged out of the urgent need to close the health gap for women from marginalised communities and is made up of and led by grassroots organisations, representing women’s voices from every marginalised community in our society.

The Health Collective Community Manager will be responsible for managing the development, expansion, and sustainability of the Health Collective.

This role will focus on managing and growing the existing community of members, organising and facilitating regular meetings, content creation for the Health Collective, coordinating the development of a unique identity for the group, and establishing an online community forum.

Main Duties

Community Engagement & Growth

• Actively manage and grow the online and offline community, recruiting new members from all marginalised communities and fostering a sense of trust and connection.
• Design and manage regular communications with members, updating them about upcoming HC events/meetings, news/policy relevant to the inequalities agenda and funding/research opportunities.
• Set up and run a virtual community for members and monitor and moderate community interactions to ensure a positive and respectful environment.
• Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain members, promoting inclusivity and engagement.

Content Creation & Communication

• Create and share high-quality, educational, and influencing content across social media platforms and the website.
• Collaborate with experts, healthcare providers, and advocates to produce webinars, workshops, and other community-centred initiatives.
• Work with a designer and members to create the Health Collective's logo and identity.

Event Coordination

• Plan, organize, and manage virtual and in-person health collective meetings, liaising with members to determine the agenda and experts to find a diverse range of speakers.
• Collaborate with external partners to enhance event quality and reach.

Monitoring, evaluation & reporting

• Record and monitor the Collective’s activities (output) and their effectiveness (impact) through data collection, surveys, interviews and case studies.
• Report on project progress and update the Wellbeing of Women team regularly.
• Report on project progress to National Lottery at least twice a year with information about the Collective’s outputs and impact along with an expenditure budget for the period
• Work with an external consultant to assess the Collective’s impact annually.

Advocacy

• Work with the Head of Comms and Campaigns to build relationships with key stakeholders, influencers, and organisations aligned with the collective’s mission.
• Monitor news and political developments relevant to the Health Collective’s work.

Key Responsibilities:

•  Manage a portfolio of partner accounts – including a range of commercial organisations working on products and services for the scientific community – developing and nurturing strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders to deliver and maintain sustainable income streams. 
•  Proactively identify and pursue opportunities with new companies to grow our network of industry partners, income generation opportunities and financial support for the Society’s activities.
•  Working closely with the Head of Marketing and Development, identify and secure industry commitment to deliver session topics and speakers to help enhance the Society’s rich and varied programme of events. 
•  Stay up-to-date with industry trends and market conditions to anticipate client needs and opportunities. 
•  Support and work with event organising committees, coordinating industry partners within and across Society activities. 
•  Represent the Society at events and, as appropriate, target industry contacts that can bring added value to the Society’s programmes and activties, delivering tangible results through effective stakeholder management. 
•  Undertake marketing activity and develop relevant messaging to industry partners to keep the Society top of mind and increase engagement. 
•  Coordinate and support staff across themes with the promotional materials needed for the Society’s events schedule.

This is a newly created role which is being introduced to support the centralisation and future growth of the Marlow Education Trust . This hands-on role will be responsible for preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring all transactions and month-end processes are carried out, preparation of balance sheet, capital projects and fixed assets reconciliations , line management of finance officers and assistants, as well as  oversight of accounts payable, accounts receivable and VAT returns. You will be involved in cash flow forecasting, treasury/banking processes, budgeting/forecasting process, monthly reporting, variance analysis and more. You will support the CFO, and work closely with all schools’ leadership teams and Headteachers.

The successful candidate will have previous financial experience ideally in a school environment and a recognised accounting qualification,, and will be flexible and able to  demonstrate an ability to adapt to a changing environment. You will be professional in your approach to all aspects of the role,  extremely well organised, a team player and competent with accounting and procurement software, MsOffice and Google Suites. 

Main Responsibilities 

• Produce draft monthly and annual financial statements, including payroll and balance sheets reconciliations, income and expenditure, and cash flow statements

• Undertake payroll preparation including staff cost allocation on a monthly basis

• Support the production of regular re-forecasts during the academic year

• Prepare and post monthly and annual prepayment and accruals

• Maintain fixed asset register and post depreciation

• Monitor of capital projects income and expenditure and carry out necessary postings at the end of each project

• Ensure compliance with VAT, taxation, and other liabilities, minimizing amounts due while meeting legal requirements

• Undertake a credit control function thus ensuring that the payment of outstanding sums are received as swiftly as possible

• Liaise with auditors and facilitate all audit arrangements

Our client is now recruiting for a Research Fellow to support their Program Directors and governmental partners by providing comparative research that will help shape programs and guide development strategies. Key responsibilities include working with the Program teams to develop reliable, actionable research on human capital challenges facing our government partners in Africa. You will research and identify vendors and consultants who can provide technical support, conduct desktop reviews for country scoping missions, and research and prepare briefings on partners, policies, demographics, and governance matters. In addition you will review existing monitoring and evaluation frameworks and performance management dashboards and help evaluate program proposals and concepts notes by researching assumptions and theories of change.

The successful candidate will have excellent research, data and analytical skills having worked previously in a research role. You will have experience working in international development, public health, econometrics, data science or a similar field and will ideally have some experience of living or working within sub-Saharan Africa (although not essential). You will bring a strong work ethic and have excellent people skills, including communication and presenting skills. You will also have skills and experience working alongside external partners. It would be preferable for the successful candidate to have a graduate degree in econometrics, public health, data science, or a related field however we would also consider candidates who are qualified through their work experience.

You’ll craft and submit compelling funding proposals, while building and nurturing strong relationships with new and existing funders to maximise support for our mission.
