About the role

This vacancy is for a University Access Officer to work in two of our schools in Hackney and Highbury currently delivering our Gateway programme and moving to our new Accelerate programme next school year.

The University Access Officer works with school staff at all levels, volunteer tutors and coaches, and with the rest of The Access Project’s team to ensure that the delivery of our programmes is optimised.

Role responsibilities

• Work directly with students in a professional and safe manner.

• Engage with school staff, your Programme Manager, and students in school to ensure that you have fully enrolled cohorts across both programmes.

• Assess student progress towards being able to make successful Key Stage 5 and university applications.

• Upload information onto the Salesforce database in a timely manner (training is provided).

• Work with school staff to ensure their cooperation and timely completion of activities contributing to the smooth running of the programmes.

• Present at termly school meetings with Senior Management to report on our programmes progress.

• Support the wider team by attending university site visits which take place on occasional Saturdays and weekday evenings (paid time off is provided).

The Avenues is an exceptional West London youth centre that guides disadvantaged children and young people to explore and develop new skills, connect with their peers and our trusted staff, and find their confidence. The Avenues offers free-to-access fun and meaningful after-school, weekend and holiday activities led by trained youth workers. Our excellent facilities include training kitchen, music recording studio, podcasting studio, arts and crafts room, sports hall and classrooms. 

With secured blue-chip funders and a host of smaller funders, a significant amount of groundwork has been laid, including a pipeline of multi-year grants securing some activities to 2026 and beyond. Educated to degree level or higher, you will be a hard-working, self-starter with excellent writing skills with the ability to write concise and creative bids. Ideally, you will have 3+ years’ proven track record in a fundraising position, with a focus on trusts/foundations and public sector income streams. However, you may equally have experience in sales and marketing in a commercial environment.  

Either way, you will be skilled at budgeting and presenting financial information in easy to understand formats. You are a relationship builder and collaborative worker with a creative and proactive approach to problem-solving.

Mindful Mums is an award-winning perinatal mental health and wellbeing peer support project that builds resilience and confidence in women and birthing people in the first year of motherhood.

As a Mindful Mums Project Worker, you will help co-deliver our five-week Perinatal Wellbeing programme with our peer support volunteers. Within these groups, you will provide a safe, non-judgemental space for women and birthing people to share their experiences, meet others and discuss the challenges that come during the first year of parenthood. You will be involved in all frontline aspects of the project, including training volunteers who have lived through their own perinatal mental health problems. You will also help to review, monitor and evaluate the project, and disseminate learning.

You will have knowledge of perinatal mental health, be an effective communicator with experience of delivering groups or workshops, and preferably experience of working within community-based or voluntary services. Your exceptional organisation skills will support the successful delivery of the project and ensure that it is evaluated effectively.

Points to note:

• This role will involve travel across the boroughs of Bromley, Lewisham and Greenwich
• Groups take place during term time during school hours, Monday - Friday
• You must be available to deliver a full five-week programme
• Groups are held within Children’s Centres and community venues across the London Boroughs of Bromley, Lewisham and Greenwich.

We’re seeking a Project Support Officer to become part of RBL’s skilled and innovative Transformation team on a 15-month Fixed Term Contract.

With a growing number of strategic programmes, our Transformation Management Office (TMO) is committed to maintaining its successful achievements. The role of the Project Support Officer will be part of this journey and will be supporting initiatives aimed at making a positive impact on the lives of our beneficiaries.

- Engage with stakeholders at various levels to gather requirements, provide updates and address concerns.

Campaigns Project Manager

About the Role

As our enthusiastic Campaigns Project Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing WaterAid's mass campaigning strategy to influence governments and policy makers, driving campaigning actions through stunning, personal, story-led communications. The purpose of which is to increase our political impact and inspire supporters to advocate to end the water crisis.

This role is a Full-Time, 12 months maternity cover, with a starting date from June 2025. Our offices are based in Canary Wharf, London.

In this role you will lead on developing and implementing WaterAid's mass campaigning strategy to influence governments and policy makers, maximising political impact and supporter engagement, identifying opportunities to test innovative ideas.

You’ll also: 

• Devise and manage appropriate supporter journeys for campaigners, developing a relationship with supporters to ensure their support is maximised
• Create phenomenal personal communications, that develop supporter conversations and make lifetime connections
• Help build a team that everyone wants to work with and for, and where people do work that most interests them

To be successful, you’ll need: 

• A good understanding of mass campaigning principles, and a strong interest in creating meaningful individual political actions that result in change
• Proven experience in a successful mass campaigning, direct marketing, supporter engagement and/or customer marketing role
• Solid project management experience, with the ability to manage large, complex projects from start to finish, working to agreed timescales and outcomes and with multiple stakeholders
• A passion for creating phenomenal, unexpected, personal story-led creative, which tells of extraordinary human experiences.

Although not essential, we also prefer you to have:

• Experience of volunteers or campaigners’ management
• Experience with new product development

The Project Accountant role will ensure that Wilton Park events remain competitively priced and that all resources are utilised efficiently.

The role will be responsible for ensuring that all events are managed effectively from a financial perspective – including pricing of events, grant applications, regular liaison with the project teams, timesheet management, financial reconciliations of events and post event analysis.

The role will monitor the key performance indicators for Wilton Park to measure against our effectiveness regarding the strategic direction.

The role will ensure that the priorities of the FCDO are met through the accurate allocation of funds from the various funding sources received via FCDO – ODA, grant funding, ISF and new grants available.

5 billion people do not have access to safe, affordable surgical and anaesthesia care when needed. Can you help us address this neglected area of global health? 

Surgery and anaesthesia have a fundamental and growing impact on global health outcomes. Surgical intervention could address over 30% of the global burden of disease, and yet the poorest 33% of people receive just 3.5% of all surgery. Post-operative mortality rates 1,000 times higher than in some high-income countries can be found in parts of the world where surgery and anaesthesia have been neglected, and in some countries as many as 90% of anaesthetic departments do not have the equipment to provide a safe anaesthetic for a child. 

With 142 Member Societies made up of anaesthesiologists in 151 countries, WFSA is uniquely placed to influence these inequalities and help ensure universal access to safe surgery and safe anaesthesia.

This role offers huge scope for development and learning across a broad remit. You will contribute to our vision and mission and build the overall capacity of our programme team to deliver impactful project work across low-resource countries. As Project Manager you will support and lead delivery of project objectives and make sure critical milestones are delivered on target and within budget. You will also contribute to external and internal reports for specific projects.

This role sits within our Programme Team and reports to the head of the team. You will work closely with all members of the Secretariat (what we call our staff team), as well as many of our committees and other key stakeholders involved in project outcomes. Relationships with Member Societies and our Board and Council will also be important; an ability to interact across a range of stakeholders is essential.  /

Hybrid working is offered with up to three days per week able to be worked remotely and two days spent in our small office in North London. The role includes some international travel. 

Our LiveLife health engagement team is growing, and we are looking for someone with great communication and project development skills to join us as a LiveLife Project Coordinator. Joining a busy and highly effective team, this role will help deliver two major programmes of work for Lingen Davies. With a primary focus on cancer awareness raising to address health inequalities (early diagnosis, cancer screening and prevention), we use a range of activities and settings to effectively engage with the public and target communities. This work is focussed in the following areas:

• Cancer Champions Project (focus on Telford). Working in partnership colleagues, along with NHS Shropshire Telford &Wrekin, and Qube, to deliver and maintain the Telford component of the project.
• LiveLife community cancer awareness programme. Our Lingen Davies community health promotion initiative, bringing cancer awareness to communities across the region.
