Job Summary
This role is an expansion of our employment pathway and will be our first dedicated employment coach for our students.
PiP has developed a unique reputation for our experience and quality of employment support for adults with learning disabilities. This has led to an increased number of referrals with a focus on employment, an expansion of our in-house social enterprise capacity, and more employers keen to work alongside us to diversify their staff base.
PiP is keen to respond to and meet this demand. This role for us is the next step in doing so, allowing us to increase our job coaching capacity and providing more dedicated resource for students on their employment journey. As to date our coaching has been delivered across our existing staff team.

What You’ll Need
- Working with people with learning disabilities, or a similar client group
- Experience of training, education, or employment support delivery

What We Offer:
· The salary for this role is circa £29,500 dependent on experience with incremental pay progression.
You'll get 25 days holiday + bank holidays ever year. We're closed for Christmas but the rest of the year you may take leave whenever you wish.
· An extra day of annual leave for each year you've worked with us up to another 5 (30 in total)
· We offer a travel subsidy of up to £7.50 per day to help with the cost of commuting.

The purpose of this role is to support the Digital Communications Manager in promoting, strengthening and protecting the reputation of the Academy by delivering and evaluating short- and long-term digital campaigns across key communications channels that engage and influence new and existing audiences.
You will achieve this by creating high-quality, engaging written and visual content that is on brand and optimised for different audiences and digital channels used by the Academy including social media channels (LinkedIn, X, Instagram, YouTube and Bluesky), email, and our website. You will work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners, including influential UK and international medical researchers as well as patients, carers and the public, to help shape our work.
You will strive for excellence to develop an understanding of the Academy’s audiences and an ability to tell impactful stories in a compelling way. You will be agile in how you work on multiple long- and short-term projects and will work well under pressure to meet short deadlines.
You will behave with integrity to build effective relationships quickly, developing trust as you collaborate widely with colleagues, digital content creators, biomedical scientists and peers from partner Academies, charities, universities and government bodies, both national and international. You will act on evidence from data insights to deliver factually sound and impactful communications that resonate with our Fellows, grant awardees, public, patients, researchers and policymakers.

Key Responsibilities for this role
- To support the Service Development Manager, Skills and Activities Coordinator, Support Staff and Volunteers in leading the development of the Stud Nursery as a viable social enterprise
- To ensure there is a weekly, monthly and seasonal horticulture plan in place (created in partnership with the Support Workers) which reflects the resources needed for client activities, product sales development and events
- To advise and support the Skills and Activities Coordinator in developing practical skills and/or qualification for people/groups using and supporting the sites development to encourage independence and empowerment
- To mentor and coach those using the sites services to lead and shape the sites programme of development as a sustainable community space and social enterprise.
- Work one Saturday per month, as agreed with the Service Development Manager, to open the nursery to volunteer project gardeners, and as a produce sale point to the local community
- In collaboration with the Skills and Activities Coordinator and Admin Support, to ensure all Health and Safety requirements are met, including site and individual risk assessments, and regularly reviewed to ensure a level of professionalism is being kept at all times
- To manage the Support Workers and Skills and Activities Coordinator, and support the charity’s drive toward values-based recruitment and leadership of its staff, volunteers and those using its services and to ensure staff recognition is held as a core value.

About the role
- Navigating the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, working with people who have a higher complexity in substance use and need additional support from multiple services.
- To work in a trauma informed and person centred way, empowering the client to make informed choices around their care and support
- Conducting street outreach with partner agencies to identify and locate people on your caseloads, who are sleeping rough.
- Attending local hostels with the aim of supporting those who are at risk of eviction and where substance and/or alcohol use maybe a contributing factor.
- Managing a caseload of clients
- Attending partner agency meetings relating to rough sleeping & hotspots in the borough.
- Providing targeted harm reduction advice and information to individuals around the risks associated with drug or alcohol use and supporting people to improve their health and wellbeing.

We are now recruiting for a Lead Coach in Bethnal Green - an outstanding opportunity to work as part of a local church to deliver the Spear Programme.
You’ll be working with the local church to manage the delivery of Resurgo's award-winning Spear Programme. Over the last 20 years, Spear has supported more than 10,000 young people across the UK with the work-ready skills and mindset they need to succeed in employment, no matter the challenges they face. In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
The Lead Coach is primarily responsible for overseeing the training room and group sessions with young people. You will help shape the training environment and will confidently adapt and deliver materials and sessions to work within the group’s development towards work readiness.
Delivery of Spear Programme - Group and 1:1 coaching [60%]
- Preparing and coaching Spear Foundation sessions and 1-1s, ensuring that young people are engaged, retained and work-ready by the end of this initial phase of the programme
- Building relationships with young people on the programme and managing culture, and attitudes in the training room
- Adapting the Spear coaching material according to the needs of the Trainees and managing behaviour effectively
- Handling safeguarding
- Taking a lead on rating the work readiness of the trainees and making sure data is inputted and used correctly on salesforce
- Tracking trainee progress on the dashboards
- Liaising with volunteers for key programme engagement events such as mock interviews and external panels. Leading on briefings and communications with these volunteers
Delivery of Spear Career [20%]
- Delivering weekly Spear Career sessions (including running workshops with past Trainees), maintaining records and reporting on statistics, and creatively developing ongoing relationships with Spear Trainees
Training the Graduate Coach [10%]
- Contributing towards the training and developing of the Graduate Coach by modelling excellent coaching and giving regular feedback
Trainee recruitment [10%]
- Developing relationships with Job Centres and local referral agencies to ensure that the maximum number of Spear Trainees are enrolled on each programme. This involves liaising with referral agencies, active face-to-face recruitment and monitoring recruitment statistics
Continuous professional development
- Continually engaging in professional development, including being part of Resurgo’s wider coaching programmes and possibly supporting on leading internal training such as Grad Coach Training
Active participation in and support for church team and mission
- As the Spear programme is run in partnership with a local church partner, you will establish a strong personal connection with the church to develop the engagement and backing of church members and help build a strong network of supporters for the Spear programme. As part of this you may be asked to speak at church/events and contribute to prayer meetings as per Resurgo’s Christian ethos and the mission of the church

At the end of year 2, Smart Works is on track to deliver the Plan, having delivered a 42% year-on-year uplift in engagement with our core Interview Dressing & Preparation service and with new centres opened in Croydon and Glasgow.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a thoughtful and dedicated leader to oversee the delivery of the Smart Works service across the UK, ensuring that the charity remains on track to achieve our current growth ambitions, and to also play a key role in leading delivery of the service as we move into our next strategic plan.
The Head of Programmes will drive innovation, build impactful partnerships with referral organisations and enable excellent decision making across all centres. The Head of Programmes will be the guardian of the Smart Works service as the charity grows, ensuring decision-making across the charity is always client-centric and every client has the best possible chance of job success.
The Head of Programmes will oversee the opening of new Smart Works centres. Project managing the opening of new centres will require exceptional people management and an ability to balance important small details, with an awareness of the bigger picture and wider strategy.
The Head of Programmes will also be responsible for leading org-wide projects focused on quality, that will allow Smart Works to ensure our offer continues to improve, so that more of our clients can move into employment.
This is an important leadership role within the charity, with the Head of Programmes regularly sharing insights and ideas with senior decision makers. They will provide valuable insight into the Smart Works service and trends within the wider employability support landscape.
Ideally, the successful candidate will be based at one of our London centres, and will travel to other Smart Works centres across the UK when needed. There may be occasional evening and weekend work as the successful candidate will be part of the wider centre team, supporting with networking and other key events.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Director of Programmes & Operations, the successful candidate will lead on a range of activities, including:
- Ensure a high quality, consistent service is delivered across the UK (both in-person and virtually).
- Drive innovation and support pilot projects that will enable the charity to evolve, improve and help more unemployed women secure work.
- Identify opportunities for digitisation of the service, to streamline our processes and allow us to grow our impact.
- Increase awareness of Smart Works by proactively identifying and nurturing partnerships with organisations who have the potential to refer to multiple Smart Works centres.
- Project manage the opening of new Smart Works centres, drawing on expertise of other staff across the Smart Works team to ensure the centre is set-up for success.
- Visit all centres across the UK to meet service delivery staff and understand opportunities for development and improvement.
- Supported by the Head of Data & Impact, track progress against KPIs, identify areas for development and, when needed, work closely with relevant staff to address shortfalls.
- Keep up to date with emerging trends within the employability support landscape, sharing relevant insights with the Director of Programmes & Operations and other relevant stakeholders.
- Line Management of staff within the Group Operations team.
- Champion inclusivity and ensure the Equity, Diversity & Inclusion strategy is woven into the day-to-day delivery of the Smart Works service and service delivery decision making.

About the Role
You will be working in one of three dispersed properties within a multi-agency team of other charities in the same accommodation which will be based in Havering. It is a therapeutic service to provide young people with an opportunity to a fresh start. The service will work creatively and holistically to enable young people to move forward from lifestyles which were impacted by gangs and exploitation and help them reach their full potential by identifying and reaching their aspirations, assisting them to move on successfully to appropriate independent living.
The Senior Progression Coach is responsible for contributing to the effective and safe delivery of the service on a day-to-day basis. You will hold responsibility for the safety and well-being of all clients, volunteers, visitors and staff in the service. You will lead in ensuring that the housing management is properly maintained and the service supports clients to sustain their tenancy agreement and develop skills and resilience.
Key responsibilities include:
- You will always ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients in the service including ensuring that Safeguarding and emergency alert procedures are followed as laid out in Depaul’s Policy and Procedures.
- You will ensure the high quality of risk and needs assessments, SMART outcomes-based support plans and case files for clients of your line reports.

About this role
Due to the significant growth phase, we require vital cornerstone funding from a new Major Gifts function that has just been established, to secure donations from high-net worth individuals, that will enable us to achieve our mission and help thousands of women to transform their lives.
The Philanthropy Manager is an exciting new role that provides an opportunity to build a new major gifts programme from scratch, raising £150,000 income by end of March 2025. Role overview
The Senior Programme Manager will lead our delivery team and work closely with the Partnership Manager to ensure that we’re designing and delivering mentoring projects that meet our partner objectives. The postholder will line-manage key staff in the delivery team, delegate programme activity and oversee quality across our portfolio. The postholder will be accountable for engagement across our portfolio and for ensuring we meet targets and key performance indicators set by our partners for project outcomes.
The postholder will also lead the delivery of Brightside Mentoring, our London based mentoring project that’s currently funded until 31 December 2025. This will involve leading the ongoing design of the project as we learn from each cohort, recruiting young people to take part from across our London networks and reporting to the funder on project progress. Leading People’s Economy’s approach to training
- With support from the Programme Director, lead the development of People’s Economy’s approach to training and workshops to create an approach and set of standards to be applied across the organisation.
- Stay abreast of developments in training best practice across similar organisations and use this knowledge to further develop People’s Economy’s training approach.
- Develop resources (e.g. types of training exercises) that can be used across People’s Economy’s training work
- Support colleagues and freelancers to implement People’s Economy’s training approach, including through delivering ‘train the trainer’ training and creating learning resources
- Work with the Programme Director to create processes to oversee the quality and delivery of all of People’s Economy’s training

Action for Conservation is a grassroots charity using pioneering approaches to inspire and empower young people from diverse backgrounds, between the ages of 12 and 24, to become the next generation of environmental leaders. We're looking to appoint a Senior Programmes Manager - North West (Maternity cover) to help us shape and manage our programmes for young people nationally and lead our work in the North West.

Start date: as soon as possible
Starting salary: £36,749.45 - £40,773.98 depending on location and experience
Contract: Fixed-term for 12 months, with possibility to extend this if needed
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week
Evening and weekend work: Regular evening and weekend work, including residential work, will be required. Time off in lieu (TOIL) can be taken for overtime worked.
Location: Remote or Manchester/London/Bristol (hybrid) - to be agreed with the successful candidate
Travel: Regular travel to Manchester and the North West of England will be required where this is not the jobholder’s usual place of work, as well as occasional national travel for meetings
About the role
This opportunity comes at a unique and exciting time in the evolution of our charity, as we look at how we continue to grow our work sustainably and deepen the connections between our youth and land-based work streams.
As Senior Programme Manager, you will have the opportunity to shape our work nationally as well as lead our programmes in the North West of England, enabling us to grow our reach, deepen our impact and ultimately deliver our mission. Your work will ensure that across our programmes we offer young people meaningful and impactful opportunities to take action for people and the planet and have a voice in shaping the future of our landscapes.
You will work closely with and report to the Head of Impact and Programme Operations. You will also line manage the other regional Programme Managers and a team of two Programme Coordinators in the North West, and will collaborate with the Land-Based Projects and Policy Lead and the Land-based Project Coordinator at the intersection of our youth programmes and land-based work.
With support from your manager and in consultation with the other regional Programme Managers, you will translate our annual programme strategy into a robust cross-regional implementation plan covering both programme design and operations and make tangible improvements to enhance efficiency and impact across our regions. You will also be responsible for ensuring that our programmes are delivered as planned, to a high standard in line with best practice and cohesively across regions, and that regional objectives and targets in the North West are achieved.
The ideal candidate will be a highly capable and experienced project/programmes manager and team leader with a proven track record of motivating and supporting others to achieve the best possible outcomes for your team and your programmes.
Key responsibilities

Lead Action for Conservation’s work in the North West, ensuring that regional targets and objectives are achieved and supporting the expansion of our programmes and projects in line with our organisational strategy.

Support the cross-regional planning and management of our programmes to ensure that programmes are delivered on time and to budget, to a high standard and cohesively across regions.

Line manage the other regional Programme Manager and the North West Programme Coordinators, providing leadership, guidance and support as needed.
