Role Overview:
The Volunteer Manager will ensure that volunteers are recruited, trained, supported, and engaged in meaningful roles across the London Borough of Culture Programme.
Reporting to the Community Development Manager, a key focus of the role will be to build a sustainable volunteer legacy that continues beyond the Borough of Culture year, strengthening the Wandsworth community’s participation in a wide range of arts, heritage, and cultural activities.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:
- Refine and implement a volunteer strategy aligned with the programme’s values and objectives
- Develop diverse volunteering opportunities, ensuring accessibility and inclusion for all members of the community
- Responsible for delivering an outreach plan to attract volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds, ensuring representation across the borough, with focus on corporate opportunities, existing volunteers in the borough (repurpose roles) and recruitment of new volunteers
- Collaborate with local stakeholders, cultural organisations, and community groups to integrate volunteers into various aspects of the programme
- Create innovative and engaging recruitment campaigns in partnership with marketing and communications teams, social media, and community networks
- Organise and facilitate volunteer induction, training, and development opportunities to enhance skills and confidence
- Implement a volunteer recognition and reward scheme to celebrate contributions and maintain motivation
- Manage the volunteer database and scheduling system to track participation and engagement
- Manage feedback mechanisms to monitor volunteer satisfaction and identify opportunities for programme improvements

Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in volunteer management and implementation of volunteer programmes
- Strong ability to recruit, train, and support diverse groups of volunteers
- Experience in arts, culture, or heritage-based volunteering (desirable)
- Experience in securing funding or sponsorship for volunteer initiatives (desirable)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders
- Experience in creating legacy plans and embedding sustainable volunteering structures
- Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines (experience working to local authorities contract timelines desirable)
- Knowledge of best practices in volunteering, safeguarding, and inclusion
- Experience in working with CRM / volunteer management systems
- Ability to collect and analyse data to measure volunteer impact
- Familiarity with Wandsworth’s cultural sector and community networks
- Knowledge of local government structures and partnership working

Part of our Programmes and Delivery Directorate, our location managers are responsible for the delivery of our programmes in that area and for building sustainable growth of MyBnk in their patch and sometimes, in the surrounding areas.

The successful Training Manager will head our “Rise for Change” training programme and have the exciting opportunity to continue to grow the programme’s success to date, expanding our offerings and reach to be fully integrated across the charities service provisions.
Rise for Change is training that is uniquely created by subject matter experts and directly addresses the need for intersectional and trauma informed domestic abuse training for professionals in all sectors. You will be leading a linked programme of activity with our global Bright Sky programme which forms part of our wider Digital Programmes team. Role

Lead the development, quality and delivery of Hope After Harm’s training programme in line with the charity’s values, strategic direction, placing victim-survivors and those with lived experienced at the heart of what you do.
Deliver training and consultancy to professionals, organisations and businesses from our set package of training, or by curating and delivering bespoke packages to meet their needs.
Upkeep current training packages, whilst scoping and developing new packages in line with sector need and organisational strategy.
Ensure growth and sustainability of the programme through income generation, attracting new clients and driving repeat custom, directly managing client relationships.
Ensure the longevity of established relationships with key partners and stakeholders through regular meetings, problem-solving and support.
Uphold programme quality through metrics and appropriate reporting on outcomes, using feedback to refine and improve training offers
With support of the Director, leverage technology to enhance training accessibility, including e-learning platforms and virtual training tools.
With support of the Director, recruit, train and oversee a pool of sessional trainers, ensuring quality of their delivery in line with programme standards

Person Specification
Essential
A thorough understanding of domestic abuse and gender-based violence through a trauma informed and intersectional lens, including the impact and mitigation of vicarious trauma.
Be an experienced, highly skilled trainer with the ability to engage people through remote and in-person delivery.
Experience in managing training programmes, and with an absolute commitment to quality and client satisfaction
Ability to recruit, train and oversee a pool of sessional trainers.
Excellent communication, negotiation and advisory skills, both written and verbal when interacting with a range of agencies and individuals.
Motivate individuals and agencies to move through courses of action and decision-making processes
Knowledge and experience of using CRM’s, such as Hubspot, to track client engagement.
Track record of income generation - creating growth strategies for training programmes, in particular using social media and online sales platforms
Ability to plan and prioritise work effectively and manage projects and multiple deadlines
Skilled user of technology with high literacy of key presenting programmes, video platforms and databases.
Ability to travel for stakeholder meetings and team/organisation away days and deliver training when required (most meetings and contracts are remote)
Be comfortable operating a remote working environment with ability to network internally and externally

The Bureau has experienced significant growth over the past three years, increasing our annual income to £2.8m and expanding to a team of more than 40 people. While the majority of our income comes from grants, there is strong potential for further fundraising growth, and we are actively working to diversify our funding streams beyond trusts and foundations.

Role and Responsibilities:
Support from trusts and foundations is our main source of philanthropic income so we are looking for somebody with experience in grants fundraising who can quickly apply their skills and expertise. You’ll work closely with our Development Director to report to and liaise with current funders, manage a pipeline of prospects and submit successful applications to secure new grants. You’ll also work closely with our other Fundraising Manager, who manages a pipeline focused on our environment, global health, and big tech work, and may be asked to work on these areas from time to time. In addition, you will support in building a major donor programme to diversify and strengthen our funding base. You will collaborate with colleagues at all levels across the organisation, from impact producers to reporters to finance and operations, in a supportive and welcoming culture that values teamwork and shared success.
As an excellent communicator, you will be able to take complex issues and translate them into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with funders and stakeholders. You will also be passionate about building strong relationships with our funders and supporters.
While experience in high net worth fundraising would be a valuable bonus, it is not essential. You don’t need to have raised funds for non-profit media before, but you do need to be excited by our work and able to express the Bureau’s key areas of work and impact in an accessible, accurate and compelling way. We’re a small team, so you’ll need the willingness to pitch in on fundraising tasks – big or small – to ensure the Bureau is in the best possible position to pursue its mission.
We envisage this as a full-time, primarily hybrid working role, working from our London office two/three times a week.
Skills and Experience
• Excellent fundraiser with a demonstrable track record of 3+ years’ experience successfully raising significant funds for charities or non-profits and managing relationships with funders (foundations - essential, high net worth individuals - desirable);
• Strong background in managing grants admin, including due diligence and processing agreements;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, able to speak and write English fluently;
• Great analytical skills, with experience of researching and identifying new funding sources for various projects;

About Tender
Tender is an arts charity working with children and young people to prevent domestic abuse and sexual violence through creative projects. Our programmes are safe, enjoyable, age-appropriate spaces where young people can engage with sensitive topics and “rehearse” for real-life scenarios. Role Purpose
The main purposes of the Projects Coordinator role are to:

This is an exciting new role to both support the coordination of existing ‘leaders in advocacy network’ and to coordinate and lead the project developing a membership body for the group to transition to. The postholder will work with the Advocacy Programme Lead, members of the leader’s network and other key stakeholders to understand what is most needed from a membership/professional body for advocacy providers, develop and launch that offer.
Our nationally recognised advocacy programme seeks to support best practice in the commissioning and delivery of independent advocacy, so that people who draw on advocacy get the support they want and need, in the way they want and need it, when they want and need it.

As an Organisational Change Specialist working on the Enterprise Foundations transformation programme, you’ll have responsibility for the end-to-end change life cycle with a focus on the people side of change – delivering cultural and behavioural change, organisational design and development initiatives.
You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to develop, deliver and secure buy-in for change plans. You’ll be a collaborator, working with others to craft solutions and change initiatives that enable BHF to achieve our transformation goals and that are tailored to what teams need.
Working arrangements
Please note this is a fixed term contract for 12 months.
This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London office.
The use of our office spaces is driven in part by your role and the activities you need to do. This may vary from time to time, so you must be prepared to work in a flexible way to unlock your best work for our cause. Most of our colleagues on blended contracts can expect to spend some time in their office each week, on average.

Sector and Capacity Development Manager
MCF has a small, diverse team, but our impact is far-reaching. The Sector and Capacity Development Manager will play an important role in supporting members and the wider British Muslim charity sector, reporting and working directly with the CEO. This is an exciting opportunity to join us on our long-term programme of sector improvement support and development, building the future for British Muslim-led charities to grow and flourish.
As our Sector and Capacity Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing change management, organisational development and capacity building support to the voluntary, community and third sector in 4 core areas including governance, organisational development, volunteering and fundraising.
You will also be responsible for coordinating and over-seeing advice and guidance to groups around these topics, ensuring that they are informed of the regulatory and legal information necessary, encouraging full compliance with legislation through a designed health-check framework. You will be supported by the wider MCF team as well as trusted external partners and specialists. The aim of the role is to support the broader work of MCF in developing a strong Muslim-led charity sector, including delivery of workshops and policy development relevant to the speciality areas connected with this post.

Main Responsibilities
As part of our team, you will:
• Support organisations by facilitating guidance on best practice across the 4 core areas of governance, organisational development, volunteering and fundraising.
• Identifying and delivering training and resources in the 4 core areas outlined with support from the wider MCF team.
• Managing the development of practical support and advice for activities such as creating, modifying a constitution, restructuring a charity, social investment and capacity development.
• Identifying patterns and common issues arising from contact with organisations within the sector that indicate individual and organisational development and capacity needs and developing a suitable response to address the need.
• Focus on capacity building through the development and management of support in relation to identified needs.
• Record all support given on our CRM and through reporting structures.
• Work with specific member charities to complete a Charity Health Check form that covers all aspects of managing their charity, ranging from governance issues, safeguarding, volunteering and fundraising.
• Help identify those charities where direct support is required and work with them, alongside MCF senior leadership, to deliver effective change.
• Work with the wider team to establish a designed framework of support including the development of resources and briefs.
• Coordinate a network of pro-bono support from specialist practitioners, checking their credentials and maintaining relationships.
• Support the leadership team to ensure processes are in place to maintain and build the MCF’s reputation as an accessible, well-governed, transparent, and accountable infrastructure charity.
• Gather impact monitoring quantitative and qualitative data for reporting and monitoring purposes.
• Maintain confidentiality in all appropriate areas concerning MCF or other charitable organisations internal affairs.
• Contribute to the progress, success and impact of MCF as the network of British Muslim-led charities.
About you: The successful postholder will demonstrate the following:
ESSENTIAL:
• Understanding of key charity legislation, compliance and regulations in charity and community settings.
• Strong experience in the social action / charity sector, working with a range of organisations.
• Experience in programme development.
• Experience in organisational capacity building.
• Experience on over-seeing schemes of work.
• Experience in developing creative solutions, particularly in situations where new change may be met with resistance.
• Strong, demonstratable understanding of civil society issues impacting grassroots and faith-led or minority-led groups.
• Excellent interpersonal/relationship building and engagement skills with a range of audiences.
• Strong, demonstratable understanding/and or direct experience of governance and grassroots community support.
• Experience of liaising with a variety of senior level professionals and stakeholders, including within the public or voluntary sector.
• Experience of leading on projects and schemes of work with the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
• Experience conducting impact monitoring, data gathering and research.
• The ability to innovate and adapt according to need and circumstance.
• Ability and understanding of professional confidentiality.
• Strong digital skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
DESIRABLE:
• Experience of directly working with charity board of trustees.
• An understanding of grant funding income and philanthropy.
