This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced project management professional to shape how we use our skills, knowledge and resources to deliver projects that will enable us to make the greatest impact for people affected by breast cancer.

In this role you’ll manage and deliver significant, cross-organisation change projects from initiation to implementation, taking ownership of project planning and delivery. You’ll lead work to assess our project management needs and develop our organisational approach to managing projects. You’ll work closely with senior leaders and subject matter experts to identify project requirements ensuring that the solutions meet the needs of the business and collaborate with key stakeholders to understand their goals and objectives. 

You’ll also provide expert project management support for teams across Breast Cancer Now, developing tools and resources that will be pivotal in ensuring our projects are well-planned, executed, and evaluated, contributing to the overall success of Breast Cancer Now’s initiatives.

About you 

We’re looking for someone who is experienced in using a range of project management approaches to deliver strategically important projects in line with milestones, timescales and budgets.

You’ll be excellent at project planning and implementation. You’ll have strong communication and influencing skills along with the ability to inspire and motivate others to deliver on time and the confidence to lead and challenge appropriately to keep projects on track. You’ll have the experience and knowledge to establish an organisation-wide approach that meets a range of project management needs.

You’ll enjoy sharing your skills and experience to support staff at all levels to manage projects effectively, building Breast Cancer Now’s ability to reach our vision that by 2050 anyone diagnosed with breast cancer will live and be supported to live well.

This role is part of the Wiltshire Project which provides individual and family support to domestic abuse for victims and their children.

Working with children and young people, the team will focus on delivering timely and high quality, trauma informed support to children who have been the victims of domestic abuse.

This is a fixed term position to November 2025.

This exciting post will be working with children who have experienced or been affected by domestic abuse. Focusing on standard and medium risk cases, this role will provide practical and emotional support to children and young people, with an emphasis on early intervention and awareness raising.

In addition, there will be the opportunity to work with the team and manager to develop and deliver new group work provision for young people.

Key tasks and responsibilities include:

· To provide high quality, specialist support to children who have lived in a domestically abusive family.

· Enabling young people to access statutory and other services where appropriate.

· Managing a caseload and working proactively to support young people and their families.

· To deliver educational, time-bound, 1 to 1 support sessions for children and young people.

· Provide specialist support to child victims, with a focus on empowering young people to make informed decisions.

· Ensure that children and young people have a thorough understanding of what constitutes a ‘healthy relationship’.

· Undertake risk assessments and implement robust safety management plans.

· Give practical and emotional support to children affected by domestic abuse.

· Work closely with multi-agency partners and the wider Wiltshire team to ensure that we maintain a focus on risk management and safeguarding.

· Work with your team and manager to develop early intervention resources.

· Engaging with and supporting the MARAC and MASH process, to ensure that the voice of victims is heard.

This role will be based in our Trowbridge office, with a requirement to travel across Wiltshire. FearFree supports staff to work flexibly, with an ability to work in a hybrid fashion, both at home and in the office.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of low to high risk children and young people, predominantly through face to face appointments but also utilising virtual technologies.
• Complete an initial assessment of the child’s needs so that you can identify and plan the support needed to address issues and prevent any problems from escalating.
• Assess, manage and review risks to service users, colleagues and self, according to agreed procedures.
• Assess the needs of the child and devise appropriate support and safety plans with due regard to the dynamic nature of risk.
• Work with colleagues, health and social care professionals and multi-agency networks to evaluate caseload needs and the progress that has been made.
• Work directly and proactively with children and young people to help them to understand the impact that Domestic Abuse has had on them.
• Ensure personal safety and that of service users and other staff at all times.
• Respond to emergencies and crises with a focus on the child’s wellbeing and safeguarding.
• Plan and implement activities to promote self-awareness, confidence and participation for children.
• Provide person centred, trauma informed support to all your cases, to empower the young person to make informed choices.
• Enable service users to participate in the design, delivery and evaluation of services.
• Work effectively in partnership with multiple statutory and voluntary agencies to enhance service delivery, safety and safeguarding.
• Respond to a child’s individual learning needs and style, adapting practice as necessary.
• Work closely with schools and education establishments to ensure support offered to service users is appropriate, planned and coordinated.
• Keeping the child’s voice central to all support and decision making wherever possible: taking the time to talk through and work with the individual child’s understanding around safeguarding and why we need to share certain things.
• Act as duty officer for Wiltshire, responding to incoming calls, logging referrals and making assigned outgoing calls, according to the duty rota. Duty shifts will be 9 – 5 in the Trowbridge Office.
• To understand and work effectively within a multi-agency framework, consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse, in order to reduce the risk for service users and their families.
• Accompany service users, when needed, to other relevant agencies and support them in their interactions with these agencies.
• To work alongside colleagues to deliver a whole family approach.
• Be proactive with your line manager to carry out periodic case reviews.
• Respect and value the diversity of the community in which the services work in, and recognise the needs and concerns of a diverse range of survivors ensuring the service is accessible to all.

Groups and Activities

• Work with the Childrens and Families Team Manager to develop and deliver, a group work intervention for young people.
• Assist with recruiting children and young people to be involved in the development of groups or activities, providing them with on-going support.
• Run groups for children and young people following a planned programme.

General

• Work at all times in accordance with the requirements of the Lone Working Policy and Procedure.
• Attend and contribute to team meetings.
• Update written and computerised records with accurate and clear information.
• Contribute to effective team working with a flexible and pro-active approach, including cover for other team members’ holidays and sickness.
• Undertake agreed training and keep updated on changes in legislation, policy and best practice.
• To support additional duties at your team managers discretion.

Responsibilities

• Appropriately manage highly confidential information relating to vulnerable people.
• Ensure security of data, especially sensitive personal data, in line with the information security policy.

• Stewardship and donor engagement - Managing donor stewardship to provide personalised and engaging communications.

  The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate;

• Experience of income generation from direct marketing campaigns across a variety of digital channels for acquisition and retention.
• Experience of project management to deliver campaigns within agreed timescales and budgets.
• Experience of using databases for targeting, segmentation, testing and response analysis and how to apply these learnings to future campaigns.
• Knowledge of Charity Law, Data Protection, Fundraising Code of Practice, and other relevant marketing or fundraising standards across the UK.

• Providing insight in to the development of the fundraising and volunteering strategy and delivering on the strategy targets.
• Leading on the recruitment of volunteers with a focus on volunteers for fundraising and youth engagement
• Managing, supporting, and developing imaginative fundraising activities, some of which will be event based.
• Working closely with the Head of Supporter Services with the development of the supporter and corporate income streams, regular giving programme, a gifts-in-wills plan and contribute to bid writing for grant/trust applications.
• Inspiring new supporters to raise income, while maintaining and developing relationships with existing supporters.

An exciting position has arisen for a Head of Finance to join an excellent Community focused Charity on a permanent basis.

The postholder will be reporting directly to the CEO and will be part of the executive team.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead, manage and improve the Trust’s finance function and provide accurate, timely and relevant financial reports as required by the CEO
• Be the Executive Lead of the Finance Audit and Risk Committee, ensuring timely papers to the CEO and to the Committee and Board as required
• Ensure the provision and reporting of financial accounts, forecasting and large-scale project/programme budgets
• Oversight of the legal and financial statutory processes in line with the Charity Commission and Companies House requirements, including the annual audit
• Allocating tasks for timely responses and keeping all colleagues abreast of progress
• Monitor, cash flow, reserves, analysis of performance against the organisation’s annual business plan and dashboard as it relates to the finance function
• Contribute to the overall leadership of the Trust’s future strategic and operational planning
• Direct line management of 3 staff, indirectly manage 7
• Ensuring an excellent service to all budget managers, enabling them to make effective use of all systems and monitor and manage their income and expenditure
• To attend the Executive Team meetings and provide reports

Successful candidate profile:

• Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
• Significant track record in a Head of Finance / FD role for a Charity
• Experience of implementing enhanced reporting tools
• Experience of cost-effective procurement in line with policy
• Extensive staff management experience

The Role

Based at our Head Office in Basingstoke, Hampshire, and reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will deliver engaging, creative, data-driven marketing campaigns targeting our beneficiaries and supporters across the UK’s fire services community. You’ll achieve this by utilising all our available media channels including email, websites, direct mail, social media, on/offline advertising and events.

St Martin-in-the-Fields Charity exists so that everyone has a safe place to call home, providing emergency financial help that can transform a person’s circumstances within days. The Charity is at a pivotal stage in their development, building on the hugely successful BBC Radio 4 Appeal that will enter its 100th Anniversary in 2026, diversifying income streams to create year-round opportunities to donate. 
 
Key duties for this role include: 
  

• Support the development and delivery of individual giving fundraising campaigns to optimise sustainable income and long-term value in line with the Charity’s newly agreed fundraising strategy. 

• Project manage activity designed to deliver warm engagement and supporter acquisition across all relevant channels - for example, social media, paid search, SMS, email, inserts and mail. 

• Collaborate with colleagues in the Data Management, Fundraising and Communications teams to ensure individual giving activity is appropriately supported. 

• Lead on data selections for Individual Giving fundraising campaigns to deliver the best long-term ROI and insightful testing; working closely with the Data team and ensuring that data is handled sensitively, confidentially and is GDPR compliant. 

• Support the Individual Giving team with forecasting and reporting across financial and non-financial KPIs in relation to the Individual Giving programme. 

• Support the Individual Giving team with the establishment and roll out of a Mid-Value donor fundraising programme. 

• Work collaboratively to ensure a seamless approach to the acquisition and development of donors, developing supporter journeys that encourage further engagement through other fundraising products and increasing lifetime value. 

 
We’re looking for the following skills & experience: 

• Demonstrable experience of project management across a range of direct marketing channels including print and digital. 

• Strong copywriting and creative writing skills. 

• Experience in researching content for fundraising and marketing materials. 

• Experience of working collaboratively with creative, print, digital & media agencies to get the best results. 

• Experience of using social media to target, communicate with and engage supporters. 

• Experience of supporting the planning and budgeting process within an individual giving context. 

• Experience of legacy marketing is desirable

Reporting to the Director of Development and Alumni Relations, the post-holder will work with major donors and legacy prospects within the University’s 100,000 alumni community and with other supporters at local, national, UK and international levels.

This role is offered on a permanent, full-time (part-time options available) basis paying a salary of £45,000 - £50,000 per annum. This is a flexible hybrid role with support available for any travel expectations.

The Philanthropy Manager will develop and lead a programme of long and short-term plans and activities to ensure income targets from major donations (both in lifetime and gifts in wills) to the University. The Philanthropy Manager will also lead a small, motivated team of fundraising professionals.

We are looking for someone with demonstrable experience of securing five and six-figure gifts from an individual, from initiating first contact to cultivation, through to gift agreement. The successful candidate will be able to evidence experience of developing and delivering major donor plans and strategies targeting those capable of giving at high value levels.
