We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the CIC delivering the business support services which underpin the strategic growth of our organisation.

The Business Manager will be responsible for financial management, operational efficiency, HR, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management:

• Oversee daily operations, ensuring services are delivered efficiently and effectively

• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance service delivery and to comply with stakeholder contracts and agreements and  all relevant regulations and legal requirements.

• Oversee programme administration processes to ensure the efficient management of these areas

• Monitor and evaluate the performance of services and programmes with the Management Team. Coordinate the delivery of effective Management Information and analysis of Appeer operations for regular review by the CEO and Board

• Ensure all necessary IT software, hardware and resources across the organisation are implemented and managed well, securely and up-to-date.

Financial and Funding Management:

• Oversee financial reporting, including monthly management accounts, and ensure compliance with financial regulations with Financial Manager

• Support the Board of Directors and Finance Committee with financial reporting, analysis and financial and sustainability strategy development for the organisation with Financial Manager

• Identify and pursue funding opportunities, including grants, donations, and partnerships; manage funding relationships and grant monitoring and reporting with CEO and internal staff

• Manage external supplier contracts and relationships: ensuring contracts, insurances, subscriptions and rentals/hires are maintained to ensure continuity of cover/use and offer best value for the organisation

HR Management:

• Oversee the management of HR across the organisation, advising on the strategic recruitment, management and development of staff and volunteers

• Responsible for the coordination of recruitment, induction and training of new recruits

• Provide ‘business partner’ HR support to Line Managers

• Coordinate Appeer’s process of regular performance and reward reviews and coordinate a programme of ongoing training and development opportunities

• Ensure compliance with HR policies and employment legislation and that employment contracts and the Employee Handbook are kept under ongoing review

• Ensure best practice delivery of  employment practices in line with Appeer’s values

• Line manage the Admin Officer, Finance Manager and Designated Safeguarding Lead

Strategic Planning:

• Work with the CEO to develop and implement the Appeer CIC’s strategic plan

• As a member of the senior leadership team, support the CEO and board in organisational strategy development

• Identify opportunities for growth and development of services

• Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, funders, community partners

Compliance and Risk Management:

• Ensure Appeer complies with all relevant regulations and legal requirements.  Manage risk, including health and safety, data protection, complaints and safeguarding. Communicate relevant policies and procedures to staff, families and service users (as appropriate)

• Work with the CEO/Engagement Manager to ensure that Appeer CIC fulfils its duties and responsibilities associated with internal and external contracts and agreements

• Act as Appeer’s Data Controller for GDPR purposes

• Maintain the organisation’s Risk Register and coordinate a formal quarterly review  and report to the CEO

• Maintain accurate records and ensure robust reporting mechanisms are in place

• Act as the channel of communication with Appeer’s insurers and, legal advisers when issues arise, keeping the CEO and Board informed as necessary

About APPEER

Appeer is a Community Interest Company (CIC) set up to deliver services that support autistic girls and women (and those assigned female at birth) to connect with peers, to develop their life/work skills and to support their wellbeing.   Over the past 5 years our founder and current CEO has taken the vision of creating a community where autistic girls and women can connect from a small, passionate team into a robust and impactful organisation.

We provide  In Person and Online Activity groups and programmes, Alternative Provision, events and resources for those in the community that we serve, their parents/carers and other professionals. We are not a therapeutic setting and as such do not offer clinical support or 1:1 supervision.

Key Purpose:

This role encompasses the day-to-day running of RABI’s mental health training programme. To include liaising with individuals and organisations seeking training; working with RABI’s specialist training providers; budgeting and invoicing, monitoring and evaluating the service.

In addition, the role will seek to explore possibilities for the development of the service, including working with external organisations across the sector to upskill and empower their staff.

The role involves cross departmental working, particularly with the Fundraising, Volunteering and Finance departments to ensure both the smooth running of the service, but also the development of it to ensure it reaches its full potential.

Implementing relevant procedures and processes, revising and facilitating continuous improvement will be key to the success of the role, with a focus on gaining impact reporting and integrating the service into the CRM.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and develop opportunities to engage with prospective strategic corporate partners around mental health training.
• Lead the management and delivery of RABI’s mental health training from initial contact through to booking, invoicing and feedback.
• Manage the budgets related to delivery of the mental health training service.
• Work with other RABI departments to ensure promotion of RABI’s mental health training and maximise the opportunities it provides.
• Work with existing and prospective trainees to maximise benefits for both parties, identifying the training and ensuring training is kept up to date.
• Act as a first point of contact for strategic partners interested in mental health training.
• Provide subject matter expertise and advice to support the Senior Management Team in developing strategic priorities and projections.
• To support with the completion of collaborative working proposals and pitches that involve mental health training.

• To provide reporting as required, related to the mental health training service.

Post Title:    Team Leader

Location:  The post will be based primarily at St. George’s Hospital London. However, all Redthread team members must be flexible about supporting other sites when needed. Regular visits to Redthread’s main offices and other projects and activities at various locations across London, the Midlands, and the UK will be required.

Shelter Sheffield provide housing advice and support to people across the city with a focus on emergency homelessness, intensive support for children and families, people experiencing domestic abuse and people with multiple and complex needs. We take a holistic approach to help people deal with interrelated issues that can impact their ability to keep a home.

About the role

You will be the local leader for Shelter’s Community Services, leading a multidisciplinary team in implementing Shelter’s strategy locally, delivering the local response to the housing emergency and empowering the local community in Sheffield to fight for home.

You will take the lead on the delivery of services and contracts to provide consistently high levels of performance, and plan and deliver service development strategies, including seeking business development opportunities that align with our strategic aims, both across Community Services and in partnership with the Lead Solicitor.

As the strategic lead for your locality, you will promote and direct systems change activity, so we better understand what is influencing people’s experience of homelessness and bad housing, and so we have effective plans to influence change.

You will act as an ambassador for Shelter within your region, representing the organisation through media, networks, and local stakeholder engagement.

YMCA Robin Hood Group are recruiting a Psychologist to join our not-for-profit children’s trauma-informed, therapeutic residential care service with homes across Nottinghamshire and East Riding.

Our suite of children and young people’s residential services provides trauma-informed care to looked after children with complex trauma presentations, mental health difficulties and/or risk behaviours. As a key part of our team, you will work directly with the children and young people to complete psychological assessments and trauma informed interventions.

You will provide support for recovery through the Ashurst Mastery Model which promotes assets, reduces barriers, prevents and mitigates the impact of trauma and prevents harm and/or re-traumatisation. You will also work with the Home staff teams and facilitate psychologically informed consultations, reflective practice sessions and a skills based intensive training programme with ongoing learner guidance.

Working predominately within our Nottingham homes, you will work Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, generally 9am - 5.30pm but with a degree of flexibility to support the needs of the children. You will also join the on-call rota and provide cover for crisis calls.

In order to be considered for this position, you must hold:

• Doctorate or Stage 2 qualification in Clinical/ Forensic/ Counselling Psychology;
• HCPC Registration as a Clinical/ Forensic/ Counselling Psychologist;
• Membership with the BPS; and

Key Responsibilities

Data Collection, Management and Analysis:

• Maintain and oversee all Choose Love data, ensuring all data is accurate, up-to-date and clean.

• Work with the digital strategist and head of communications to scope and assess the most effective and efficient ways for Choose Love to collect, process, analyse, and report on data, feeding it into the mid and long-term strategy.

• Segment audiences for fundraising campaigns based on various criteria (e.g., donation history, demographics) through managing datasets. 

• Develop predictive models to forecast future donations and help identify potential major donors.

Continuous Learning and Compliance:

• Stay up-to-date with data analytics tools, techniques, and best practices to enhance your skills and contribute effectively.

Location: Hybrid working including working remotely from home, meeting with veterans in their own homes or other locations. We are looking to recruit a self-motivated, enthusiastic, hard-working Project Manager to lead, the Building Stronger Futures for Older Veterans project.

You will play the key role in leading, managing and overseeing the project, ensuring that it meets key targets and timescales and prepare progress reports as required by the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust and by senior managers within Age Cymru Dyfed. The Project Manager will also play a key role in setting the terms of reference and informing the Project Advisory Group and Project Reference Groups. At TLC, we support the development of ethical, sustainable living and deceased donor kidney transplant programs, through collaboration with our specialist transplant volunteers from the UK NHS. Through various teaching methods and resources, including travel to partner centres, we empower overseas healthcare professionals (HCPs). TLC is the 'go-to' organisation for fledgling transplant programmes. We achieve this through direct training, transplant missions and observerships supplemented with mentoring, online teaching, resources and support

We are looking for a Partner Centre Project Manager who will manage all aspects of TLC partner projects. The Partner Centre Project Manager will be responsible for delivering the objectives outlined in the strategy and managing the training/mentoring programs for partner centres.

The TLC Team

Transplant Links is a small, flexible, and highly motivated team comprising a CEO, Director of Medical Activities, and Project Administrator. The Partner Centre Project Manager will report directly to the CEO, and collaborate closely with the Director of Medical Activities, working with over 50 NHS volunteers.

The Role

As we have expanded our global reach we need a Partner Centre Project Manager to develop and implement training programs in our partner centres worldwide. Primary responsibilities include project management of partner centres coordinating their training and resource allocation, and stakeholder communication  (healthcare institutions, supporters, HCPs). This involves organising missions, where a team of UK volunteers travels to facilitate living donor kidney transplants in situ. These missions will be led and supervised by the project manager.

The Partner Centre Project Manager also assesses and addresses the evolving needs of partner medical centres, ensuring that the training programs remain pertinent and customised to the specific requirements of partner centres. They will monitor the program’s expenditure within agreed budgets and ensure compliance of the activities and expenditure with TLC policies, whilst also taking the lead on program reporting to supporters. Crucially, they will be responsible for liaising with local program leaders (doctors, nurses and hospital managers), volunteer HCPs from the UK and stakeholders in the field (often Health Ministries and hospital management).

Primary accountabilities include: the completion of missions within a given time frame; abiding by the policies and procedures in place to ensure the safety of TLC volunteers and staff; identifying and managing risks within programs and proposing mitigation strategies; moving each partner centre through the phases of development as per the strategy; assessing prospective partner centres; progress reporting and communicating performance; managing budgets and resourcing requirements

Example tasks include meeting online with partner centres; writing plans and budgets for overseas missions; meeting online with a current or potential sponsor of a partner centre; liaising with TLC volunteers; facilitating meetings with key stakeholders; making in person visits in UK and abroad; working with TLC volunteers to design itineraries for upcoming observerships; preparing performance reports on centre progress and KPI’s

Role Requirements - Candidate Specification

We invite applicants with strong leadership qualities and an appetite for solving complex problems to apply to join our team. Applicants should have excellent project/program management and organisational skills and at least 5 years of project management experience at a similar level, preferably with a background in a relevant international/development management or implementation role, and ideally in healthcare and the charity sector. 

With demonstrable experience in designing, initiating and leading complex development processes and programs, applicants should have a significant understanding of budget management, time management, stakeholder management and financial reporting. Previous experience in successfully managing complex programs within the international development and/or health sectors is needed, and experience working in LMICs would be desirable.

Role responsibilities

Financial Administration
• Maintain efficient and accurate computerised financial accounts & bookkeeping records (the organisation currently uses SAGE) including the upkeep of the records management with regular reconciliation activity according to standard processes.
• Receive and process invoices for payments to/ from suppliers.
• Record income from users, supporters, donors, members etc and maintain up to date records of income received.
