We are looking for an ambitious, experienced and creative fundraising expert who is committed to building upon a strong programme of fundraising whilst bringing in new initiatives to see the charity's income significantly grow.

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, the post holder will work across multiple income streams, to develop innovative products and tools to engage our supporters and maximise and grow our income generation strategy and lifetime value of our supporters. You will develop high-level community and third-party relationships and events that lead to long-lasting relationships and long-term support for Dreams Come True.

Strategy & Budget Management

● Work with the Head of Fundraising to deliver a strategy and Ops plan that covers Community, Events, Mass, and third-party Fundraising.
● Support the Fundraising Executive to project manage an existing portfolio of events and introduce new products to grow the programme, incorporating digital/virtual fundraising.
● Review the portfolio of events and build new income generation opportunities for 25/26 and beyond to uplift income and grow supporter participation.
● Set, monitor, and report against budget figures, feeding into forecasting and monthly KPIs, and reporting any concerns to the Head of Fundraising.
● Lead the development and growth strategy for third-party relationships and high-value community supporters.
● Undertake regular reviews of activity including ROI analysis, report progress v budget, and implement actions as required.
● Lead on Identifying new opportunities for community grant funding including but not limited to supermarkets, round tables, rotary, masons, golf clubs, sports clubs, and schools.
● To provide excellent analysis, evaluation, and reporting on fundraising activity to the Head of Fundraising, drawing conclusions and making recommendations for future activity.

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
Reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive as a member of the Leadership Team. Responsibilities for Fund raising are distributed across many roles in the organisation, but you will be responsible for the development and delivery of the organisational Fundraising Strategy, paying particular attention to the diversification of our funding portfolio and ensuring all teams are supported to achieve their fundraising goals.

Your main focus will be on diversifying our funding sources, growing our income from major donors and corporate supporters and increasing our effectiveness and reach with trusts and foundations. We are seeking to recruit a passionate and hardworking new Marketing and Communications Executive, to oversee our communications strategy and help develop the organisation during an exciting period of growth.

This is a 16 hour a week role which would be perfect for someone looking for a flexible job that makes a big social justice impact. You could work it full time over two days or part time over 3, 4 or 5 days a week.

ReachOut is a national youth development charity and a strategic partner for schools. Through collective mentoring and engaging activities, we build socio-emotional skills that transform outcomes for young people constrained by circumstance.

Our Grants and Trusts Manager is responsible for managing and developing ReachOut’s income from Trusts and other Grant-making bodies. Working closely with the partnerships team and the Head of Programmes & Impact they will make evidence-informed decisions and collaborate across the organisation to meet our strategic aims. This role is currently reporting to the CEO for an interim period, but longterm will report to the Head of Marketing and Partnerships.

We couldn’t run Manchester International Festival without the dedication, energy and enthusiasm of our amazing volunteers. Some 426 volunteers got involved in MIF23, our last festival, doing everything from helping out with preparations to greeting the public at our events. Our Festival Volunteer Manager is critical to the smooth running of this programme.

Our Festival Volunteer Manager will lead on the recruitment of MIF volunteers, training and induction, and support for volunteers taking part in the 2025 programme. They will ensure that the volunteer programme is inclusive and accessible, and that volunteers have a fantastic experience at all points that they interact with us.

The primary focus of this role is leading on the volunteer-facing aspects of the MIF Volunteer Programme, however the post holder will work within a Volunteering Team that also delivers other Factory International volunteering programmes, including those at Aviva Studios, and may also support the delivery of these from time to time.

This role will involve a significant amount of evening and weekend working – particularly during May, June, and July, to facilitate the delivery of the programme. It is likely that this role will involve working additional hours, particularly during the Festival, which can then be taken back on a flexible basis. 

Festival Volunteer Manager Responsibilties

- Lead on volunteer recruitment for MIF25, ensuring and encouraging applications from diverse communities across Greater Manchester and supporting the application and selection processes for new and returning volunteers

- Plan, develop and deliver training and induction schemes for MIF volunteers

- Organise social events, volunteer placements and other volunteer activities leading up to, during and immediately after the 2025 Festival

Job Purpose

The Fundraising Manager will work closely with the CEO to execute the fundraising strategy for Child’s i Foundation, with a focus on driving regular giving, community fundraising, and individual giving initiatives. Additionally, you will support the CEO in cultivating major gifts and managing corporate partnerships.

You will play a key role in providing collaborative support to our emerging fundraising effort in Uganda, particularly with their innovative 'Giving Circle' programme, which is backed by the Ugandan Board. The Talent Set is delighted to be partnering Pets as Therapy (PAT) to recruit a Head of Fundraising, who will play a pivotal role in delivering the new fundraising strategy and increasing income to £1.7 million.

PAT is a UK-wide charity that inspires and enables volunteers to share the joy of their pets. Every day over 4,000 people in hospitals, care homes or schools get to meet a PAT Dog or Cat. The role of strategic funding is crucial to this transformative change.  We are looking for an individual who is committed to anti-racist and feminist leadership to join our senior leadership team and help drive this change.

You will have significant experience and a proven track record in developing and delivering fundraising strategy, particularly focused on trusts, foundations and philanthropy, taking a relationship-based approach to build partnerships with organisations that share similar values and vision.

You will work with the team to build our capability, partnership, systems and processes to steward relationships, develop grants and manage their delivery.  Working with our Communications Co-ordinator you will help to build INTRAC’s profile and position in line with our strategic vision and ambitions.  You will have active support from the CEO along with strong board commitment to help develop and deliver this role.

This is a part time role (0.6-0.8 FTE); initially offered as an eighteen month contract with the intention to extend should the role be successful.

We are a remote organisation, with staff working across the UK. As we become a global network we are looking at options as to how to expand our staff base in different geographies, as we believe this will benefit INTRAC and support our strategic direction.  However, we do not have a straightforward way to do this currently. Our charity provides vital support to the Usher community.  In recent years, demand has grown for our services so this year we are very excited to be growing our staff team.  The new Family Liaison Officer will work alongside our CEO and Events and Communications Officer, playing a vital role in providing both emotional wellbeing and practical support to our young people and their families.

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

Family Support Lead

As Family Liaison Officer, a big part of your role will be providing tailored support, information and advice to families from diagnosis onwards.  This will include:

o Responding to enquiries from families

o Assessing support needs and signposting to external services as appropriate

o Providing follow-up remote support where required

o Providing face-to-face support at occasional clinics (normally based in London)

o Designing and maintaining support processes and systems

o Monitoring engagement and using insight gained to make recommendations for service improvement

Emotional Wellbeing Lead

As our lead emotional wellbeing practitioner, you will assist in the design and delivery of several of our projects and events.  These will include:

o Providing support and facilitating daily group sessions with young people aged 11-25 at our annual USHthis! summer camp (in 2025, the camp will take place from Friday 25th July - Friday 1st August and you will need to be available for these dates)

o Help to deliver our one-day events in the spring and autumn

o Co-create the Empowerment Programme for 17-25 year olds with Usher syndrome.  This is a pilot programme that aims to support our young adults in developing self-advocacy and identity alongside mentoring through the key milestones in young adult life

o Facilitate 1:1 and group sessions on the Empowerment Programme

o Facilitate monthly virtual USHchats for parents and carers (these take place one evening a month)

Across all aspects of the role, you will need to ensure the safeguarding of and promote the welfare of children and adults at risk who are engaging with Usher Kids UK.

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION

Experience and Knowledge:

o Over 2 years’ experience of providing emotional wellbeing support to:

- children and adolescents

- parents/carers and family members

o Experience of supporting families with additional needs

o Experience of supporting families with sensory or dual sensory needs (desirable)

o Experience of family support case management

o Experience of facilitating 1:1 and group sessions

o Minimum of Level 3 qualification in a relevant field (e.g. youth work, health, social care, education)

o Computer literate and confident using MS Office software and video conferencing tools

o Good standard of written English and Maths (GCSE grade 5 or above)

Background and purpose

Metabolic Support UK (MSUK) is the umbrella patient organisation for people living with and affected by Inherited Metabolic Disorders (IMDs). We are a UK-based organisation with an international reach. There are approximately 40,000 people in the UK living with one of around 1,500 IMDs. Globally an estimated 71, 260 people are born with these conditions each year and 1.43 million people live with IMDs worldwide. 

IMDs are rare, lifelong genetic disorders that affect people in a variety of ways including lifestyle, lifespan, diet and medication needs and symptoms. Sadly, some disorders can cause irreversible complications or death. 
 
Since our inception in 1981, we have been at the forefront of rare disease community development; as a founding member of EURORDIS, expanding newborn screening, accelerating the development of IMD treatments, and empowering our community through the Living Well Movement.We enable our inherited metabolic disorder community to live well by offering individual support, building connections, and developing evidence-based insight. 

The role 

MSUK is looking to recruit a dynamic, ambitious and confident Fundraising Manager to work with the Chief Executive to develop and implement our income strategy. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Fundraising Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be a core member of the team, developing and delivering the income stream for the charity with fundraising strategies that support MSUK’s mission. The role will report to the Chief Executive and will be responsible for driving forward all aspects of fundraising, including building corporate partnerships, individual giving, major donors, trusts and foundations, legacies and community. The MSUK team is a small but agile team and we expect the successful candidate to be a self-starter with a “can do” attitude, lots of energy and an ability to work autonomously. This is an exciting opportunity to join an exciting and progressive charity and to work with a fun, committed and established team. 

Please note this is a remote working position but candidates will need to live permanently in the UK be able to travel to Manchester/Midlands for regular team meetings and across the UK at short notice for community events and meetings.

Main Responsibilities:

Fundraising Management and Development

• Work with the Chief Executive to develop and implement a balanced and realistic fundraising strategy, which builds on MSUK strengths and maximises income for the charity.

• Deliver an integrated fundraising programme, which includes corporate partnerships, individual giving, major donors, trusts and foundations, legacies, community and events.

• Ensure all fundraising activity is compliant with GDPR and relevant fundraising regulation and that all data is accurate and maintained efficiently.

• To maintain and develop the donor CRM platform (currently Nutshell) including building supporter journeys to enhance donor experiences and maximise income for the charity.

• Provide up to date funding reports and fundraising forecasts for the board

• Work with the team to ensure that all opportunities to promote MSUK and develop our fundraising and supporter engagement experiences are explored and maximised.

• With the CEO, manage all aspects of finance and reporting relating to fundraising, including annual budgets, monthly reporting and re-forecasting. Provide monthly reports and updates on all fundraising activities and income streams

• Work with the communications team, internal colleagues and external stakeholders to create impactful storytelling and supporter engagement opportunities to maximise revenue streams.
