We are looking to appoint an exceptional individual to join our team of six Strategic Partnership Advisors across England. In this role, you will support key partners, including Active Partnerships, National Governing Bodies of Sport, local authorities, and leisure providers to become more effective in their role of enabling more disabled people to be active.
You will possess a strong understanding of the sport and activity sector, including its operations, and be able to advocate for improvements that help more disabled people become active. Additionally, you will be aware of the broader systems and barriers that disabled people encounter in sports and activities, as well as organisations such as disabled people’s user-led organisations and various charities, to build relationships and foster effective cross-sector partnerships.
We are looking for an individual with experience of working strategically at a place based and/or locality level within the South West region. Someone who can positively influence local developments, systems and investments to tackle the inequalities disabled people face in sport and activity through inclusive practice.
The successful candidate will work remotely from home and be based in the South West region. This role will involve travel across the region and occasional travel to our Loughborough and Manchester offices.
This role is full-time (36 hours) and permanent.
We offer 26.5 days of annual leave, including birthday leave, plus bank holidays. Activity Alliance also closes between Christmas and New Year which means that employees are not expected to work during this time and they are not required to use their annual leave allowance to have this time free from work.

About the role
The Capacity Development unit seeks a Capacity Development Officer to support the implementation of the Advocacy Institute Regional track.
The NCD Advocacy Institute is a flagship Capacity Development initiative designed to strengthen NCD civil society to ensure a more effective NCD response. It consists of a multi-year partnership with organizations and alliances, supporting and strengthening the growth of NCD civil society across selected geographies. Its Seed track supports the establishment of NCD civil society networks in countries/regions where these are non-existent or young. The Accelerator track works with established NCD alliances to strengthen advocacy efforts where there are windows of opportunity for specific NCD policy change.
The Regional track focuses on strengthening regional NCD civil society in their coalition building and advocacy efforts with a key element of leading mobilisation and accountability efforts ahead of and in follow up to, the 2025 High Level Meeting on NCDs. The track supports regional alliances in Africa, Caribbean, Eastern Mediterranean, Latin America and South East Asia and includes a mix of grant support, tailored technical assistance, access to relevant training opportunities (Seed, Accelerator, different thematic tracks according to the capacity needs and strategic interests of each alliance), networking and knowledge exchange opportunities across other regions. The track also focuses on enhancing the role of regional NCD alliances in the capacity building of national NCD alliances in the region and pays special attending to building close linkages with Our Views Our Voices Initiative. A key element of this track is to build effective connections between national, regional and global advocacy efforts and maximise global and regional advocacy opportunities in the lead up, and in follow up, to the 2025 UN High Level Meeting on NCDs.
The Regional Advocacy track aims to:
·Strengthen the organisational capacity of regional alliances as an enabler for effective advocacy, supporting coalition building, strengthening organisational processes and governance structures;
·Support strategic advocacy and accountability efforts led by regional alliances, strengthening linkages between global, regional and national advocacy levels, maximising global advocacy milestones, particularly the 2025 UN High level Meeting on NCDs;
·Promote and support the role of regional NCD alliances in mobilising NCD civil society and national alliances in the region, and the role of regional NCD alliance in supporting regional networks as such.
The Capacity Development Officer will play a key role in the implementation of the Regional track by supporting coalition-building efforts, strengthening regional advocacy initiatives, and enhancing the capacity of NCD alliances to drive policy change. This includes providing grant administration support, facilitating technical assistance, and ensuring effective knowledge exchange between regional and national alliances. NCDA seeks applicants with suitable experience and background for a full-time role as Capacity Development Officer. This position reports to the UK-based Capacity Development Manager. Core responsibilities
•Support the roll out of the Advocacy Institute’s Regional track, by strengthening regional coalition-building and advocacy efforts, enhancing the capacity of regional NCD alliances to drive policy change and accountability.
•Perform grant administration duties, to support the Advocacy Institute and its Regional track, including grantee communications, support grant awards, monitoring and grantee reporting.
•Monitor local conditions and opportunities for the Advocacy Institute participating alliances and collect M&E data regularly to help with programme development and the provision of tailored technical assistance to NCD alliances part of the Advocacy Institute’s Regional track.
•Support the development of research and knowledge products in support of CD work as needed (e.g., civil society mappings, guides, reports, programme documentation, etc.).
•Support the organisation of the Advocacy Institute trainings and live sessions, and other CD events as required, including supporting curriculum development, participant support, administrative functions, and evaluation.
•Provide written content to promote regional and national activity through NCD Alliance communication channels, including social media and website.
•Leverage NCDA expertise providing technical assistance to alliances and facilitating networking opportunities, enable access to NCDA expertise, advocacy advice and support, and access to a broader network of advocates who can provide peer-to-peer support.
•Support broader Advocacy Institute and NCDA webinars and events for regional and national NCD alliances.
•Coordinate regional and national efforts with global advocacy to ensure maximum impact of the Advocacy Institute and broader CD efforts.
On-going activities:
•Ensure an updated record of activities by organisations and NCD alliances supported by the CD projects and initiatives, to inform NCDAs capacity development, advocacy and communication activities.
•Maintain regular communications with regional and national NCD alliances for advocacy and network updates.
•Gather relevant regional information to support the offering of appropriate and relevant technical assistance to NCDA member regional and national NCD alliances.
•Help maintain an updated contacts database of regional and national NCD alliances.
•Help maintain up to date Capacity Development content in the NCDA website.
•Handle administrative responsibilities in support of CD activities as needed.
•Mobilize regional and national NCD alliances in support of global advocacy campaigns.
•Provide support to civil society regional and national meetings as required, including administrative and content development support.
•Support Advocacy Institute webinars for regional and national NCD alliances.
•Look for opportunities to showcase regional and national progress in global events and platforms.
Required experience and skills:
•Advanced university degree in public health, international relations, public policy, or similar, with a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant work experience in the non-profit area.
•Demonstrated interest and understanding of global health and development; knowledge of NCDs would be ideal, particularly on aspects related to health policy and/or public health background is preferred.
•International work experience is highly desired, as well as professional knowledge and/or experience of advocacy, policy and/or programmes.
•Excellent organisational and strategic planning skills and ability to successfully manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
•Capacity to work independently and collaboratively in an international team environment with solid interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
•Excellent judgment, strategic thinker, initiative taker.
•Excellent analysis, writing and oral communications skills in English – foreign language skills are a plus (Spanish and/or French).
•Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
•Availability for international travel (10%; as needed)

- Manage data across multiple systems including Access databases, ensuring data integrity and accuracy
- Conduct Gift Aid audit checks before HMRC submission, supporting income generation of approx. £1 million annually

How we work with Employers and Higher Education Institutions
At Unifrog, we partner with universities and employers to help them connect with our global network of highly engaged students, teachers and careers leaders.
Our partnerships allow universities and employers to co-create content which can be accessed on the Unifrog platform (including online subject taster courses and day-in-the-life videos), share upcoming events and opportunities with relevant Unifrog students and teachers, and take part in a series of events throughout the year aimed at providing students at Unifrog schools with all the information they need to make the best decisions for their futures, and create the strongest applications.
The Employer and HE teams exist to support each of Unifrog's university and employer partners to make the most of their partnership with Unifrog, and to secure new partnerships with universities and employers who could benefit from a relationship with Unifrog.
The role and responsibilities
As New Business Lead for Employer and HE Partnerships, you will play a pivotal role in driving Unifrog’s growth in our employer and higher education markets. You’ll need to be target driven to help create a wider network of universities and employers to support Unifrog students from around the world to find their best next step.
You will be given support by both the HE and Employer teams but will also have the autonomy to lead your own campaigns and projects.
You will be able to develop your skills, strengths and interests. We always look to make space for our team to grow within the company, and we have a general policy of promoting within.
Your key responsibilities:

Design tailored campaigns involving emails, phone calls, webinars and social media, to target employers and higher education institutions in a smart and engaging way.

Communicate with interested employers and higher education institutions to explain the work we do at Unifrog and the partnerships we offer in a compelling manner to secure online demonstrations for our Employer and Higher Education Partnership Managers.

Attend conferences (sometimes overseas) to promote the work we do at Unifrog and network with relevant stakeholders in the employer and higher education sectors.

Be the first port of call for partnership/collaboration enquiries from employers and higher education institutions.

Work with our team of Employer and Higher Education Partnership Managers to understand the challenges they face and how you can support them in growing their partner bases.

Analyse data from the Unifrog platform to inform your research around suitable higher education institutions and employers that we don’t work with but who would benefit from a partnership with us.

Support with other projects such as organising conferences, analysing our competitors, and reviewing our marketing collateral.

Communicate information about our line up of online and in-person events to non-partner HE institutions, to secure their attendance at these events.

Working together
You’ll be working with the HE and Employer teams, alongside the Partnerships Director for International Schools and HE (who will be your line manager), the Partnerships Director for UK Schools and Employers, the Head of Employer Partnerships, and the Head of HE Partnerships. Your projects will also see you collaborating closely with the Marketing team.

About the role
This is a pivotal role within individual giving. Helping to plan and develop fundraising strategy and budget management, as well as being responsible for delivering campaigns of significant scale and generating income both now and for the future.
As part of the team generating £15 million per annum, the successful candidate will be responsible for acquisition and retention communications that talk to thousands of individuals. In addition, building relationships with supporters across a wide range of marketing channels (including face-to-face, DRTV, direct mail, digital) and different activities, and driving vital income to support the charity’s research and care objectives.

About you
You’ll have good experience of running direct marketing activity to generate income, working with suppliers and at scale to solicit funds from tens of thousands of supporters.
A well organised person with excellent communication skills, you’ll be managing relationships with key external agencies and in house stakeholders to deliver complex, multi-faceted campaigns while closely monitoring and managing significant expenditure budgets. You’ll also have a real focus on monitoring key campaign metrics to optimise performance.
Working across email, online, telemarketing, direct mail, door to door and private site, you’ll understand supporter motivations, and how to increase supporter engagement. Testing and evolving our campaigns to best fit what works for our supporters and ensuring that our brand ethos is at the heart of all communications.

We're seeking an experienced and inspirational leader to Chair our Independent Advisory Group (IAG) whose role is to provide independent advice to the Travalyst Board and Secretariat on the delivery of Travalyst’s strategy. As Chair, you'll provide independent strategic guidance, critical insights, and expert advice to shape Travalyst’s initiatives and impact. This role requires a commitment of approximately 1-2 days per month over an initial two-year term (with the possibility of renewal).
Your Impact

Set the IAG’s agenda and priorities, in close collaboration with the Travalyst CEO and Board Chair.

Chair a minimum of six virtual meetings per year, bringing all IAG Members together to share learning and provide strategic business updates; ensuring that divergent opinions are heard and respected, and that the group forms a collective view when needed.

Ensure that the IAG’s advice is timely, relevant, and delivered appropriately to the Board and/or Secretariat.

Attending Travalyst Board meetings to give updates on IAG activities, performance and learnings (likely 1-2 per year).

Attending Travalyst’s Annual Convening (likely 2 days per year, usually in Europe).

About the IAG
Our IAG is comprised of a global group of some of the world’s leading travel and sustainability experts. The role of the IAG is to provide independent advice to the Travalyst Board and Secretariat on the delivery of Travalyst’s strategy. Its primary remit is the expert review of Travalyst’s product roadmaps, including impact evaluation. In addition, the IAG’s proactive advice is invited on any topic, including Travalyst’s strategy and theory of change.
The IAG currently has six members, appointed as a core group of experts with a systemic view of travel and tourism. We expect this group to grow to 8-10 members during 2025/6, to fill specific gaps in expertise. IAG Members are appointed by the Secretariat, in consultation with the IAG Chair.
Where needed, the IAG may form a task group (including external subject matter experts) with a clear, time-bound remit. External subject matter experts are appointed by the Secretariat, in consultation with the IAG Chair.
The IAG sets its agenda and priorities through close collaboration between the IAG Chair, Travalyst CEO, and Travalyst Board Chair. It is accountable to its Terms of Reference, which are approved by the Board.

Honorarium
The IAG Chair will be offered an annual honorarium, in recognition of the critical role played by the IAG and the time commitment required for full participation and leadership.
Additionally, pre-approved reasonable out-of-pocket expenses can be reimbursed, where required.

This role is at the heart of the Individual Giving team, delivering dynamic direct marketing and digital fundraising campaigns to recruit the next generation of Christian Aid supporters.
