Peaches Womb Cancer Trust was founded in 2020 by a team of enthusiastic and dedicated researchers, doctors and nurses working alongside Professor Emma Crosbie. Since then, the original founders have been joined by invaluable volunteers and 2 staff members to ensure we can raise awareness, support patients, fund and promote womb cancer research.
Womb cancer, also known as endometrial and uterine cancer, is the most common gynaecological cancer in the UK. Affecting approximately 9,700 people annually, most are diagnosed over 50 years of age and have gone through the menopause, but womb cancer can affect younger women too. When diagnosed at an early stage, womb cancer is often treatable: when diagnosed at early stages, 1 and 2, the survival rate is 92%. However, when the disease is diagnosed at later stages, 3 and 4, the survival rate reduces to 15%. Currently 1 in 5 women, or people with a womb, are diagnosed at advanced stages. Latest figures show that the equivalent of 27 people every day are receiving a new womb cancer diagnosis and 7 people are dying from this disease every day in the UK. Peaches want to change that and save lives. We can't think of a better way to spend your time and deploy your skills.
We are looking for a knowledgeable, diligent and skilled CNS to help develop and provide support services.
Role overview
Over the next 12 months, we have exciting plans to enhance the support services offered by Peaches to ensure we can meet the diverse needs of those affected by womb cancer. We envisage support services delivered will build upon our current monthly virtual peer support coffee mornings to include more bespoke and frequent meetings as well as an online peer support group, online peer events and some in-person events. Remote working contract for 12 hours per week on a 12 month contract. We may request that you attend in person strategy meetings in Manchester on a quarterly basis and some in person support events
Key responsibilities
Development of support services including an online peer support group, online peer support events, webinar series and in person events.
Manage support queries, set up of online events and peer support group including set up and moderation with assistance from charity staff...
Assisting in the development of content related to support services to include in monthly newsletter and social media.
Support the development of medical information pages on website and in print literature.
Help to facilitate the expansion of our network of CNS and healthcare professionals with an interest in womb cancer. Develop relationships to ensure appropriate signposting to charity and national awareness of support services offered through attendance at relevant conferences and events.
Ensure safeguarding of those requesting support and participating in peer support services.
We are looking for someone with the following:
Band 7 qualified Cancer Nurse Specialist with experience of caring for those affected by womb cancer
NMC registered
Previous experience of caring for others in a sensitive manner
Up to date knowledge of womb cancer
Previous experience of facilitating one to one support
Previous experience of facilitating group sessions is desirable but not required

Join our Community Fundraising team in this brand-new role to coordinate our growing Volunteer Ambassador (VA) programme delivering the recruitment, training, and ongoing support of Volunteer Ambassadors, ensuring they are equipped to represent our cause effectively.
As the Community Fundraising Volunteer Officer, you will be a a key point of contact for VAs, handling requests for their support from both internal and external sources. As Policy and Public Affairs Officer, you will work closely with our Head of Public Affairs to influence decision makers in the NHS, and UK and Welsh governments. You will be joining the charity at an exciting time as we develop a new influencing strategy. You will help shape this work, while having opportunity to work with external stakeholders, including health professionals, civil servants and other charities, all whilst developing your skillset and policy and public affairs experience. About the role
We are now looking for someone to join our education team as a Research Officer.
You will manage complex projects in support of Gatsby’s objectives in education, including undertaking quantitative and qualitative research and scoping and commissioning research from academics, consultancies and think tanks to inform Gatsby programmes. You will be expected to represent Gatsby at external meetings, organise meetings and events, and develop strong working relationships with key partners.
A primary purpose of the work is improving our understanding of the FE teaching workforce and teacher education in FE.

Your new role
The Education Support Administrator will provide administrative and logistics support to the Education Team and members of the Adviser team in their role as educational facilitators.
The role will include activities such as:
- Supporting delivery of digital training, including setting up of break out rooms, on the day event support, provision of training for trainers in related software, assisting with new product design for online materials.
- In the case of face to face training tasks might include, but are not limited to liaising with, clients, booking venues/meeting rooms, external suppliers, making accommodation bookings, ordering refreshments, assisting in the production and maintenance of educational materials and presentation slides, providing on the day virtual event support via MS Teams including the management of break out rooms, basic data entry, checking various corporate stakeholder contact databases for accuracy; inputting and/or downloading data (usually evaluation feedback and workshop registrations); ordering relevant stationery, printing and collating educational materials, couriering materials to relevant venues, setting up and down training rooms.
- The post holder will be responsible for contributing to the delivery of the annual work plan of the Education Team.
- The post holder will be managed by the Education Manager and will report to the Education Support Co-ordinator.
What you'll need to succeed
- Provide effective customer service through a timely, confident response to internal and external customer needs and queries via telephone, face to face work and email.
- Provide technical support for training delivery via MS Teams and other platforms to enable delivery of training.
- Carry out delegated administrative tasks designed to support training delivery including but not confined to, ordering of supplies, liaising with and setting up of venues, liaison with SME's and other identified internal and external stakeholders, printing, collating and photocopying and aspects of technical support.

We are looking to recruit a part-time (18.75 hours per week) Development Worker (Movement and Physical Activity) on a 3-year fixed-term contract.
You will lead our role in the Place Partner Investment programme in Salford, funded by Sport England (via GM Moving) and working in partnership with Salford Community Leisure. Salford CVS leads on VCSE engagement and investment, while Salford Community Leisure leads on systems change work.
You will engage and build relationships with VCSE organisations in specific areas of Salford in order to understand barriers to physical activity and existing provisions.
Combining this with knowledge already held at Salford CVS and insight from Salford Community Leisure’s system-wide engagement activity, you will design and deliver an investment programme for VCSE organisations that drives increases in movement and physical activity across various Salford communities.

World Jewish Relief created the Specialist Training and Employment Programme (STEP) for refugees in 2016 and today we are the largest provider of specialist employment support to refugees in the UK.
STEP aims to improve integration for refugees through a targeted employment programme that addresses the complex barriers refugees face in preparing for, and ultimately finding, work in the UK. We support all refugees, regardless of their proximity to the labour market, to develop the skills and identify the opportunities they need to secure sustainable employment. We now have an exciting opportunity for a Team Manager to oversee a team of Employment Advisors who provide support to refugees in the UK, assisting them in accessing job opportunities, education, and training.
