Oasis Hub Waterloo co-develops and co-delivers a wide range of integrated community services including a community centre, primary and secondary Academies, adult and further education opportunities, early years support, a Foodbank, advice services, a community farm, and well developed and diverse programmes for young people.

This new role will lead on individual giving and events fundraising for Oasis Hub Waterloo with a focus on securing funds for Lambeth & Croydon Foodbank and our associated advice services. This will include developing our awareness and capacity to gain income from high-net-worth individuals, events and legacies.

The Role

You do not need to be a practising Christian or have a faith to work with here - around 50% of staff are not practising Christians, but are comfortable with the Christian ethos that underpins our work. However, all staff do have a desire to make a difference.

We are seeking an efficient and detail-orientated individual to join a dynamic organisation and support the work of the Programme Manager for SDF Resourcing Hubs (15 hours) and the Head of Discipleship and Social Justice (7.5 hours).

In this important role and you will be contributing to the success of the organisations work.  Your responsibilities will include providing confidential and proficient administrative support, through effective diary management, managing correspondence, scheduling and supporting meetings, handling emails, processing invoices and expenses, taking minutes, and facilitating events.

For over 60 years the National Children’s Bureau (NCB) has been building a better childhood for all.

NCB have worked with and for the PHA and other key stakeholders in Northern Ireland for over 10 years to improve outcomes for children, young people and families.  As part of our contract with PHA we have supported the development of the Infant Mental Health Framework, the effective implementation of evidence-based programmes for children and families, and the emerging policy and practice space for early years and family support.

Our Side by Side service has developed through several years of outreach on Gillett Square in Dalston. Recognising that many in the community that gathers there face severe disadvantages on multiple levels yet rarely seek support, we set about getting to know people, listening to their stories, and slowly building trust whilst offering practical help, advice and support. Now, our community advice workers are considered part of the community themselves and without hesitation, people refer themselves and their friends, neighbours and families to us for support. 

The Role

As our Lead Community Advice Worker, you will provide holistic advice, advocacy, and practical support to people connected to the marginalised and excluded Gillett Square community in Dalston. You will help them access essential services, navigate welfare benefits and housing issues, and challenge decisions they believe are unjust. You will also provide guidance and supervision to one Community Advice Worker. This role involves occasional outreach in Gillett Square and through home visits.

The role is offered on a part-time, 4 day week basis (0.8 FTE) with a salary of £36,050 pro rata per annum.

Believe: Positive Destinations Project Co-ordinator

Would you like to be involved in this new opportunity to support young people in Swansea develop the skills needed for the world of work?

Believe: Positive Destinations is a 12 week work readiness programme for young people aged 16 to 25.  The programme, part funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, has been developed specifically for young people who have little or no experience of the world of work. It is a holistic programme, it will support them to develop workplace skills, build their aspirations, increase self-confidence as well as providing them with strategies to manage their wellbeing. 

As the Project Co-ordinator you will assist the CSM with the development of this new service. This will include building a network of work placement providers and referral sources. You will be the main contact for placement providers and will provide direct support to participants to ensure they are achieving their potential. You will be responsible for delivering the programme to cohorts of up to 8 participants.

What does the job role involve:

• Promotion of the service at networking events and online.
• Establish a network of appropriate placement providers throughout Swansea and be the main contact for placement supervisors for the duration of the placement.
• Establish links with organisations who will be referring into the service, this will include Education, Leaving Care and NEET services.
• Delivery of a 12 week work readiness programme to cohorts of up to 8 participants including the delivery of Agored Cymru accredited units.
• Supporting young people to achieve their development goals.
• Responsibility for gathering and collating relevant data and contribution to report writing as per the request of the service manager and the commissioner of service.
• Tracking service user progress through the use of outcomes scoring over the duration of the programme and after exit, using a young person centred approach.
• Provide advice and guidance to PW1s in manager's absence.
• Standard service operating hours will be 9am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 4.30pm Friday, however the role requires some flexibility around hours as we support young people around their needs.

Essential criteria

• Self-motivated and highly organised.
• Experience of working with young people aged 16 to 25 years in a one to one and group work context.
• Experience of working with young people who are NEET (not engaged in education, employment or training) in a relevant setting.
• Experience of delivering group work programmes.

Salary: £45,000 per annum

Our office is a short walk from King’s Cross station in London. Our expectation for this role is that you will come to London 1 or 2 days each week for meetings, including a quarterly ‘all staff’ event. You may also be required to visit member hospices or suppliers from time to time. You can choose where to work for the rest of the time, in the office or remotely (home or another appropriate location). We encourage all colleagues to visit member hospices to help inform our work and you may be able to work from there.

Contractually this role is London-based.

Contract: Fixed term for 24 months, full time.

Job Information

As Data Programme Manager, you’ll use your project and programme management skills to successfully deliver projects which improve Hospice UK’s data capabilities. You don’t need to have technical data skills, but you’ll need to be able to guide technical colleagues and third-party IT and data providers.

Your main project will produce a new Member Data Portal, enabling over 200 member hospices to submit data and view insights and analysis that informs their service offer, whilst also providing a national view of hospice care that Hospice UK will use to support member hospices with national campaigning and fundraising.

Alongside this, you will lead data projects that improve our internal performance management. This will involve working with colleagues to gather requirements and develop reporting that supports effective decision making, developing new policies and procedures, and providing training.

Excellent stakeholder management skills will be key to your success. Working with representatives from our member hospices will be vital to the success of the Member Data Portal project. Internally, you’ll collaborate with colleagues at all levels, including the ICT and Data team who will provide technical expertise, and senior managers who will be customers for many of the projects. You’ll also work with external suppliers of technical products and services, including carrying out procurements where needed.

You’ll have great project management skills, which means you’ll be organised, structured and a pragmatic problem solver. Ideally, you’ll have experience of delivering technology, digital or data projects.

Essex & Herts Air Ambulance, unlike NHS emergency services, is a charity. The free life-saving service is provided 24/7 by helicopters and by rapid response vehicles.

Each critical care team consists of a pilot and co-pilot, a pre-hospital care doctor and a critical care paramedic.

They can be rushed to the scene with life-saving support equipment to deliver advanced clinical care, usually only available in the hospital emergency department.

Job purpose:

The Compliance Manager role has the purpose of maintaining a culture of compliance across the charity whilst ensuring we adhere to all relevant regulations and laws.

The role of Helpline Advisor

For several years, Guts UK have provided information, support and guidance to our community over the phone and by email. This year, we’re formalising that service into a professional Helpline and are looking for someone to join our small, talented support team.

During the initial 6-month trial period, the Helpline phone lines will be open Monday to Friday, 10am to 2pm, but this may expand or change later in the year. Queries could be received via phone, email or web-query form.

​As a member of the Helpline team, you will offer on demand information, support, guidance and signposting primarily to enquirers living with, or caring for those with, digestive conditions and symptoms. The support offered will include receiving calls, emails and web form queries from people who are looking for more information about their digestive condition, need to know where they can turn to for support, or are waiting on a diagnosis and need help navigating how to get there. You will provide appropriate information, guidance and signposting to our own information and other external support organisations. As a charity, Guts UK covers all digestive symptoms and conditions, across the whole of the UK, and so no two days will be the same and queries will be diverse and interesting.

The role holder will man the Helpline (alongside others from the team) from 10am to 2pm (with a 30-minute lunch break) and during that time will receive, respond to and appropriately log phone calls, web-queries and emails.

About the Role
