About the role
The principal responsibility will be to support our ambition to become a best practice national body and an employer of choice, responsible for the day-to-day management of the HR function within Emmaus UK, as well as the development of our approach to in-house learning and delivery of our new People & EDI Strategy.
The role will be responsible for all aspects of Human Resources at Emmaus UK, overseeing the whole employee lifecycle, from recruitment and induction processes to offboarding and exit interviews.
The postholder will oversee HR processes, reviewing their effectiveness and identifying and embedding improvements to improve the employee experience.
Working with the Director of Resources, the role will be central to the delivery of the strategic objectives with an HR focus, while taking responsibility for the operational HR function to ensure a positive and supportive working environment for the staff team.

The newly created role of HR Manager will sit within the Resources directorate, to support the delivery of key charity and federation-wide objectives, as part of our mission to empower people affected by homelessness and poverty to change their lives for the better while using our voice to achieve social change.

About CARIS Families
CARIS Families is a small, frontline charity that supports families who are homeless and living in overcrowded multi-occupant hostels in the London Boroughs of Hackney and Camden. Life in temporary accommodation hostels entrenches children and their parents in poverty and disadvantage. Families suffer from acute overcrowding, inadequate basic facilities and a permanent sense of unsafety. The nature of hostel life isolates people from their support networks, decimates their physical and mental health and becomes an adverse life experience in itself for families already suffering the trauma of having become homeless.
CARIS Families exists to provide early intervention to mitigate the worst effects of hostel life and homelessness for children and parents in our four target hostels. We do this by providing hands-on play, learning and social activities to help children meet their potential, improve families’ wellbeing and build their support network. We provide a holistic family support service that case-works with each family individually to reduce financial and other pressures on them as they wait for a permanent home. We also use our data and learned experiences about temporary accommodation to join campaigns for reform to temporary accommodation policy and practice, both locally and nationally.
We have just received funding to employ a dedicated Housing Rights Manager for the next two years. This is an exciting addition to our team, as it will be our first staff member dedicated to helping our homeless families with their housing case. The housing system is notoriously opaque: families tell us it can be a hopeless minefield to navigate independently and that they often can’t access meaningful help with it, resulting in years-long hostel stays. Our Housing Rights Manager will step into the gap and work with families on an individual basis to gain the information and support they need to progress their housing case and expedite their move-on into a suitable home.
About the role
Our Housing Rights Manager will be a key member of our Family Support Service. They will manage a weekly drop-in clinic from within the hostels where they will assess new housing cases and develop a support plan with families. They will manage a full housing caseload of housing support work, collaborating with relevant local groups, local authority partners and law centres to progress families’ housing cases. They will learn from the barriers families tell us they face, develop CARIS Families’ housing advice service in response and use these learnings to contribute to campaigns for reform to temporary accommodation practices and policies locally and nationally.
In their first year, the Housing Rights Manager will work in partnership with housing solicitors at Shelter to write a Housing Information and Rights handbook tailored to the processes of our target boroughs. The handbook will aim to demystify the temporary accommodation system in our two boroughs, explain residents’ legal rights and help them understand their options. It will form a key part of the support we can offer and allow us to reach many more families in hostels than our small staff team can individually casework with.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a committed staff team of just 5, working in a person-centred and community-minded way to make a real difference to families on the frontline of inner-London’s housing crisis.

Our mission is helping to build more sustainable black and racially minoritized communities across the UK. About The Role
As a Ubele Programme Coordinator, you will be a member of the Community Wealth Building hub supporting the programme manager by overseeing administrative tasks, coordinating learning programmes, communicating with our partners ensuring resource availability for the project team from project inception to completion.
Main duties and responsibilities
1. Programme Coordination & Collaboration
Collaborate with the CWB Director and Agbero Programme Manager to coordinate the delivery of learning and training within Agbero2100.
Serve as the first point of contact for the Agbero2100 London programme, handling and redirecting enquiries as appropriate.
Maintain effective and ongoing communication with key stakeholders, ensuring their active engagement and interest throughout the programme.
2. Event & Training Coordination
Organise and coordinate events, webinars, and training sessions, ensuring logistics such as hospitality, room layout, equipment setup, and course materials are properly managed.
Liaise with consultants and the Communications Team and oversee the smooth running of all relevant webinars, workshops and events.
Develop and maintain accurate records of all learning and development activities, including tracking attendance and ensuring timely follow-up with participants.
Coordinate offsite events and support the Programme Manager in event planning and delivery.
3. Administrative Support & System Management
Work closely with learning and development partners to design, communicate, and implement administrative procedures for both in-house and external training courses.
Establish and manage systems and procedures to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of Agbero 2100’s learning development services, including managing programme information securely.
Maintain accurate documentation and processes for all programme activities, including contracts, agreements, and purchase orders.
Coordinate programme data with stakeholders and support the Programme Manager with information collection for decision-making.
4. Data Collection & Impact Reporting
Collect, collate, analyse, and share both qualitative and quantitative data to measure and showcase the programme’s impact.
Ensure evaluation forms are completed and returned for each session/event, contributing to learning and development needs analysis based on feedback.
Support the CWB Programme Manager in preparing regular and ad-hoc reports and maintaining accurate records of data collection methods and analysis techniques for future reference.
Adhere to data privacy, confidentiality, and security standards in managing sensitive programme information.
5. Stakeholder & Partner Management
Develop and maintain productive working relationships with external training providers and partners.
Coordinate the work and meetings of programme stakeholders and partners, including minute-taking and maintaining positive relationships with the Communications team.
Gather partner agreements, consultancy agreements, and contracts, working with Agbero Programme Manager and finance to issue invoices and chase outstanding payments.
6. Financial & Resource Management
Raise purchase requisition orders, track payments for training providers, and ensure timely processing of payments.
Manage and maintain the programme’s training calendar, ensuring full completion within targeted timescales and timely updates to the Programme Management team.
7. Inclusivity, Health & Safety, and Compliance
Promote a workplace culture of respect, dignity, and fairness, challenging all forms of discrimination and prejudice.
Comply with the organisations safeguarding policy and practice at all times and undertake trainings on safeguarding as required.
Maintain awareness of health and safety, complying with Ubele’s Health and Safety policies and procedures.

We help individuals with mental health problems to find paid employment or return to their current role after a period of ill health. We also assist employers and employees to successfully resolve mental health problems in the workplace. But, it’s only possible with the help of people like you.
Your challenge? To do everything you can to help the individuals we work with to source appropriate work experience placements with local organisations/employers. Day to day, you’ll offer support, careers advice and guidance, helping people to set their own recovery and employment-focused goals and provide training in personal and skills development such as CV preparation, interview techniques etc. You’ll also be responsible for establishing and maintaining positive links with community mental health teams (CMHRS), Early Intervention Into Psychosis (EIIP) Teams, partner organisations, local employers and other relevant agencies and have the initiative to develop and promote the service. Additionally, you will have responsibility for maintaining efficient admin systems to ensure referrals, assessments and reviews are completed in a timely manner.
As well as a good understanding of the IPS model of working, mental health problems and the issues and barriers this can create for our clients, you’ll need excellent motivational, presentation and listening skills and a willingness to travel in the local area and to work outside of office hours as required.
There is one vacancy being recruited for covering a smaller geographical area of West Surrey however, the delivery is Surrey and borders-wide. The successful candidate will be based in our Woking office. The post-holder will therefore be a car driver, with access to their own vehicle.

The Role: The successful candidate will be working with adults in a residential setting delivering assessments, group sessions and one-to-one therapy to those admitted to the service. The post holder will offer an intensive, abstinent-based programme with high levels of group therapy and a strong emphasis on aftercare support. The role will include facilitating specialist psycho-educational groups, 12 step, relapse prevention therapeutic groups and individual counselling sessions.
You will work closely with our Supported Housing team and be required to participate in regular team meetings. You will also be required to liaise with external agencies and work creatively to provide the most appropriate treatment plans for clients with complex needs. You may be required to cover occasional evening Aftercare groups.
Main Responsibilities
- Undertake assessments of people entering the service through various referral sources.
- Develop, facilitate, and review a group work programme that meets the needs of our clients. These might include dual diagnosis, trauma, cross-addiction, criminal justice issues and various types of substance use.
- Provide a holistic package of care to individuals which meets their needs and includes working with colleagues across other teams to help residents with diversionary activities, employment, training, and education.
- Work with the Supported Housing team to ensure residents are safe, secure, and maintain their tenancies and are prepared to move onto independent living.
- Provide a range of one-to-one interventions that might include MI, person-centered care, CBT, DBT and trauma work.
- Manage a caseload of individuals with a wide spectrum of needs.
- Assist residents to understand the effects and benefits of any medication prescribed for them and the importance of complying with treatment regimes. This might include liaising with pharmacists, doctors, and psychiatrists for monitoring purposes.
- Provide psychoeducation to raise awareness and understanding of substances and their effects.
- Provide onward referral and liaison with wrap-around support within SCT to enable our residents to achieve social integration and personal development.

Hounslow Young People is Supported Accommodation Service for young people and young parents aged 16-25 in Hounslow. The Service encompasses a mix of units across six sites supporting 63 vulnerable young people and 19 teen parents.
The aim of the service is to empower Young People to move towards independent living, supporting their successful transition from childhood; laying the foundations for healthy, ambitious, and safe adult lives with minimal ongoing support. Support is delivered in partnership with a number of stakeholders and partners in the community such as mental health services; substance misuses agencies, housing teams, police and social services.
We are recruiting for Waking Night Support Worker to join our dynamic service and team. In the role of Waking Night Support Worker; individuals will ensure continues support is provided to young people at the standards of day staff with particular focus on safety of vulnerable young people.

What you'll do:
Ensure the welfare of customers providing emotional and practical support to customers who are in distress, in crisis or require medical assistance such as emergency first aid or the intervention of medical professionals
Remain calm and professional when dealing with emergencies and incidents following the reporting procedures and completing the required paperwork
Ability to work empathically and compassionately with customers who present with complex needs such as mental health, substance misuse, safeguarding and physical health support needs
Ensure the safety and welfare of customers by implementing and monitoring the visitors' procedure, preventing unauthorised access to the service
Conduct health and safety checks and patrols around the building and exterior reporting repairs and any Health and Safety issues
To undertake patrols and security checks of the building and exterior, monitoring CCTV, addressing any antisocial behaviour and completing the relevant reports
Undertake initial and continuous assessment of needs and potential risks and agree levels of support and actions
Support customers to undertake all domestic tasks wherever possible, including practical assistance where they have not yet developed the skills, to ensure customers enjoy a high quality of accommodation
Develop and maintain links with all key agencies and service providers in the local community

About the role
The role of Operations and Administrative Coordinator is essential to operational excellence and alignment across A4S – directly and indirectly supporting our global team to deliver their best work.

About you
We are looking for someone who understands the far-reaching impact that success in an operations and administrative role has for the whole organization – both day-to-day and for our longer-term objectives.
You are highly organized and excel at prioritizing; comfortable balancing daily responsibilities, such as internal communications, meeting logistics and office management, with project coordination, reporting, and similar asks. You will have strong writing skills and a knack for clear, timely communication, supporting outputs like meeting materials and regular project updates.
With a keen eye for detail you will develop quality work and complete due diligence tasks and supplier coordination work to a high standard. You are tech-savvy, proficient in Microsoft 365, and comfortable making sure our IT support providers, and other suppliers, meet expectations. You can build strong relationships across all levels of seniority, both externally and internally. You are a proactive problem-solver, who knows when to escalate issues and maintain confidentiality.
Familiarity with Salesforce, Zoom, Teamwork and Slack, and an interest in the intersection between sustainability and finance, will be an advantage.

We help individuals with mental health problems to find paid employment, or unpaid voluntary work, plus we assist employers and employees to successfully resolve mental health problems in the workplace.
You will support the delivery of our Employment Service which will see you focus on motivating, supporting and providing person-centred advice and guidance to people receiving support to enable them to move into suitable and sustainable work.
As well as a good understanding of people with mental health problems, you have experience of networking/liaising with local employers and the initiative to develop and promote a service.
