About the role:

This role is based in our office at Whitecross Studio's, 50 Banner Street, London, with flexibility of hybrid working. The role requires travelling to other VS offices across London.

As a Senior Children and Young Persons Caseworker, you will be required to:

• Conduct comprehensive needs and risk assessments and ensure each CYP receives an individual tailored support package that fully meets their identified needs, including safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
• Provide one to one support to children and young people living in families affected by domestic abuse.
• Effectively manage a caseload of different risk level cases of approx. 10 and provide specialist support to reduce the risk and increase safety
• Review the assessment of risk on an ongoing basis, ensuring appropriate and immediate action is taken in respect of any CYP facing significant harm, making the necessary referrals to MARAC and local safeguarding processes as required given the legal framework relating to the protection of children and the policy and procedures of the Local Safeguarding Children's Board.
• To consult with and involve children and young people in making decisions about themselves and the development of the service.
• Establish links with relevant statutory partners in Social Care, Education, Health, Police and Housing, with the intention of supporting children and young people who have been impacted by crime. Attend meetings as required.
• To advocate on behalf of children and young people affected by crime, to ensure the diverse needs of children and young people using the service are met.
• Manage up to 4 staff, conducting supervisions and case reviews, supporting and coaching your staff in their practice and personal development.

You will need to have the following essential skills:

• Experience of working directly with vulnerable children and young people aged 5 - 17, on a one to one basis, with a proven ability to work in creative and appropriate ways to engage with children and young people
• Experience with assessing risk and taking appropriate action to safeguard children and young people
• An understanding of the current issues for children and young people experiencing crime, including Serious youth violence, Sexual Violence, Domestic abuse and relationship abuse
• Experience of delivering effective multi-agency and partnership work, including building relationships with statutory and voluntary CYP service providers
• Effective organisational skills, including experience with planning, prioritising, managing crises and a caseload, and maintaining accurate and confidential case records
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills and Excellent IT skills including Word, Excel, databases, internet and Outlook

The role: Royal Navy Sports and Community Infrastructure Project Officer - full time/35 hours per week 

As a key member of the Greenwich Hospital and Andrew Simpson Foundation teams, you will be responsible for developing the RN “Building Sports and Well-being for the Future” vision into a costed, designed and persuasive community hubs plan, followed by its implementation as an effectively managed transformational project delivering high-quality sports and community hubs.

Based within the Andrew Simpson Foundation, the role will drive strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and scalable delivery aligned with RN priorities. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a disciplined and visionary self-starter to turn a vision into reality. As well as working closely with the ASF and GH Charity teams, you will be liaising with relevant stakeholders in the Royal Navy, particularly base commanders and those responsible for delivering Navy sport and supporting the community.

As Senior Policy Officer you will be part of the Patient Advocacy team who work to ensure that the patient voice is heard and acted upon by UK and devolved nations healthcare policy decision makers. You will represent the charity externally including national meetings with senior healthcare decision makers.

Your role is vital to developing strategic approaches to health technology appraisals (HTA), regulatory pathways (MHRA), clinical development programmes (academic and industry clinical trials) and commissioning routes to broaden access to new myeloma drug therapies and diagnostic technologies.

The role
 
This is an exciting role, to liaise and support partner organisations to ensure accounting records are complete, accurate, and up to date, coded correctly on UH’s cashbooks and reconciled against bank statements. You will also provide technical support to partners’ finance staff and train them on the use of the cashbooks and financial reporting to UH.
 
You will be educated to degree level and have experience in a fast-paced and complex finance role. You should have experience of working with technical accounting packages as well as experience in financial planning and monitoring.

We’re looking for a highly skilled and experienced public affairs professional to join our small staff team to lead our public affairs activity and to grow the influence of the Children and Young People’s Mental Health Coalition. This is an exciting opportunity to influence positive change at a time of significant policy and political developments.

As Public Affairs Advisor, you will lead on the Coalition’s public affairs and influencing activity. You will be responsible for influencing the Government’s policy and legislative agenda relating to children and young people’s mental health, forging relationships with the new Parliament, and ensuring the Coalition’s views are heard across Westminster and Whitehall.

With over 370 members across the country, our Coalition has a significant potential to extend its influence. Many of our existing members are well placed to influence at a local level through working with their NHS Integrated Care Boards, councils and MPs, but do not always feel confident carrying out public affairs work. As Public Affairs Adviser, you will work with our members to upskill them to carry out their own influencing activity through a series of ‘Learning and Development’ workshops.

You will have Public Affairs experience of developing successful strategies to influence legislation or government policy, have strong knowledge of political systems and processes, have existing networks and contacts, and feel passionate about creating positive change for babies, children and young people.

This is a new role within the Coalition staff team and is generously supported by the Prudence Trust and the Hollick Family Foundation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of the Coalition’s parliamentary influencing strategy.
• Build and maintain relationships with Parliamentarians and other key stakeholders, such as civil servants and special advisers.
• Lead the Coalition’s engagement with Parliament and Government, ensuring strong systems are in place to capture and track engagement.
• Monitor and respond to political and legislative developments affecting our work, making recommendations for responses, and proactively seeking opportunities to further the Coalition’s objectives.
• Provide political intelligence to the staff team, Chair and our members, and help to prepare staff for parliamentary activity as appropriate.
• Produce high quality written briefings, reports and other materials that communicate our messages clearly and effectively to a parliamentary audience. This will also include contributing to other Coalition communications such as media responses, newsletters, blogs, and social media posts.
• Plan and deliver events aimed at political stakeholders, for example, parliamentary events and roundtables.
• Participate in collaborations with other charities for shared influencing activities, for example the Fund the Hubs campaign and the Future Minds campaign.  
• Support work on legislation as appropriate, including drafting amendments.

Working with members

• Regularly engage with members to understand their influencing priorities and to gather insight to help inform the Coalition’s wider influencing priorities.
• Connect Coalition members to decision makers and help spotlight their work, for example, helping to organise visits to services.
• Provide advice to members on engaging with their local decision-makers such as their local MP, Integrated Care Boards and Councillors.
• Deliver workshops with members to share information and skills related to influencing and public affairs activity. For example, this could include delivery of sessions on influencing local systems, working with the government, and legislative processes.  

General

• Work closely with the Coalition Lead, the Policy and Public Affairs Assistant, and Chair of the Coalition to develop and review priorities for the Coalition and support to drive these forwards. You will also be required to work closely with the staff at Centre for Mental Health.
• Support with the development and implementation of the Coalition’s work plan and projects.

About the Role

As a Broadcast Fundraising Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for maximising fundraising opportunities through on-air and digital broadcasts. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Developing and executing comprehensive fundraising strategies for on-air and digital broadcasts.  
• Collaborating with production teams to create compelling on-air content.  
• Managing and cultivating relationships with existing and potential donors.  
• Analysing fundraising performance data and optimising results.  
• Overseeing the development of on-air fundraising scripts and materials.  
• Ensuring all fundraising is in line with our charitable aims, fundraising approach and missional pillars (Souls, Israel, Revival).

The Restored Beacon Network is a national network of churches that provide a place of welcome and safety for those who have experienced domestic abuse. Beacon churches partner with us to receive training, guidance and resources so that they can effectively support survivors in their congregations and communities, shining a light in the darkness of domestic abuse and journeying with them on the road to recovery. 

The Restored Beacon Network manager will work with the CEO to grow and develop this important network of churches. You will meet and recruit new church partners and walk them through the journey to becoming a Restored Beacon and beyond. This will involve meeting with church leadership, assessing their readiness to become a Beacon, arranging a training schedule, and supporting Restored Beacon Co-ordinators. You'll care for our church partners, providing spiritual, emotional and practical support to them as they work at the front line of supporting survivors. Relationship management is a key part of this role, not only with each individual Restored Beacon coordinator but also in facilitating peer support across the network. 

This is a new role in our Participation Team to help us deliver work that amplifies the voices of people with lived experience to find solutions to homelessness and health inequalities. The post holder will lead a few projects and partnerships, with responsibility for planning and delivering activities and monitoring their progress.

Some examples of current projects are:

• Coordinating and supporting a group of six people with lived experience to co-design an immersive audio story and campaign to improve the health of people living in temporary accommodation in London. 

• Working with the City of London Corporation to embed meaningful co-production practices in their homelessness services; bringing people with experience of homelessness, frontline staff, and commissioners together to improve service design and delivery. 

Your main task will be to coordinate groups of people with lived experience of homelessness and health inequalities, alongside Groundswell peers and colleagues, services, local authorities, funders and policymakers.

We are looking for someone with great interpersonal skills who can comfortably engage with different stakeholders. You will be well-organised, self-motivated, and confident facilitating groups to co-create positive change.

The award-winning NSPCC Communications directorate is known for its talent, expertise and creativity in inspiring and challenging people to act on child abuse. We work collaboratively, both organisationally and across integrated communications disciplines, to deliver shared outcomes and measurable results through all available communications channels. 

We are looking for a skilled professional to join our Marketing and Planning team, which has a key role in driving awareness and understanding of our support for children, parents and professionals. We work closely with teams across the NSPCC to raise awareness of our vital services, behaviour change campaigns and income generation which helps us continue to fight for every childhood.

The Strategic Marketing Manager will focus on marketing to adults, in particular parents. They will lead a team of 3 to deliver our flagship behaviour change campaigns, Talk PANTS and Look Say Sing Play, working with colleagues across the organisation and external partners to expand the reach of our campaigns. They will lead on raising awareness of the NSPCC Helpline, that anyone can contact if they are worried about child and support wider priority campaigns that may include Brand and Online Safety. In addition, they will work closely with Income Generation, Services and Strategy and Knowledge on key projects and campaigns to ensure we are working together to maximise income and impact. 

The post-holder will have significant experience in leading insights-driven marketing strategies and campaigns that make an impact, from development through to delivery, overseeing a small team. They’ll be a great communicator, able to build effective working relationships and influence a range of stakeholders. They will be calm and measured to crisis coupled with an ability to make quick decisions. This individual will be highly collaborative in nature with a collaborative spirit in the immediate team and wider communications team. Alongside a desire to continuously learn and develop with a strong ambition to ‘make a difference’.

Job purpose

• The Marketing Manager will work closely with teams across the NSPCC to devise and deliver communications campaigns and projects across a range of disciplines. Specifically: 
• To lead the development and delivery of marketing and communications activity to promote behaviour change campaigns, Talk PANTS and Look Say Sing Play, NSPCC Helpline and other priority campaigns. 
• To line manage and support three roles (one senior officer, one officer and one coordinator) to achieve the wider team objectives. 
• To support and contribute to the Marketing and Communications planning process, particularly for our general public and parent audiences. 
• To evaluate communications activity in order to inform future activity.
• To contribute to the Communication Directorate’s purpose of ensuring that all communication is of

• Lead a team to plan and deliver NSPCC’s flagship behaviour change campaigns, Talk Pants and Look Say Sing Play, managing both multi-channel paid marketing campaigns and utilise opportunities via owned/earned for promotion.
• To provide high quality marketing communications materials across a range of disciplines, working with relevant staff across the NSPCC.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation and external partners to expand the reach and impact of our campaigns.

Person specification

1.A proven track record in developing and delivering high quality marketing and communications activities on behalf of large, national brands.
