We are excited to announce that we are looking for a motivated and compassionate veteran with experience in addiction recovery, mental health services or veteran welfare to help us expand and develop the SMART Veterans Programme in Scotland. We will be actively interviewing for this role as suitable candidates come forward, so we reserve the right to stop accepting applications earlier than the stated deadline.
You need to have experience of working with vulnerable people, or in supporting the welfare of individuals, ideally military personnel or veterans. Facilitation of meetings, training and group sessions is essential as is your knowledge of the needs veterans have when they leave service. You should have knowledge of best practice in facilitation and possess good presentation skills. Knowledge of what addiction recovery is and how recovery programmes work is important with knowledge of the SMART Recovery 4-point Programme being highly beneficial.
We accept applications from individuals who have lived experience of addiction either directly or through family and friends, and be able to demonstrate living a balanced life. You need to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills, be able to motivate yourself and others and manage your time efficiently. Self-motivation is crucial as this is a home-based role with lots of virtual meetings. We will also consider a secondment from existing employment elsewhere.
Experience working with or being a volunteer is essential and experience of delivering training would equip you well for the role. The ability to support people with adverse lived experiences in a grounded manner and be able to provide support within professional boundaries is very important. Giving and receiving feedback, gathering data and other evidence to inform service development, and exercising reflective practice are all essential attributes.
The role is home-based, and you will be provided with all office equipment and a travel budget as needed. In order to manage your time and travel effectively you will need to be comfortable forming and developing relationships online, attending and hosting meetings via zoom or MS Teams (this is both business meetings with partner organisations and mutual aid recovery meetings). You will be required to conduct national travel and occasional overnight stays, visiting SMART meetings and facilitators in your area delivering a package of support to facilitators and our partners, helping the charity to grow by helping to generate new business. There are also team development residental trips away with the SMART team every year.
In addition, you will contribute to the global development of SMART Recovery via veteran orientated projects identified by SMART Recovery International. It is essential that you can travel and work flexibly to meet the needs of the role.

A lot of people know NCT for our antenatal classes, and we want to continue to support as many parents and families as we can to access evidence-based information. But we are also much more than this. We are a charity that campaigns on the issues that matter to parents. We run breastfeeding and infant feeding support, provided by specialist counsellors. We run thousands of free community activities and events across the UK, led by our fantastic volunteers and peers. And we support women and families facing specific challenges, such as social isolation, feeding difficulties or poor mental health.
Our NCT Birth Feeding and You project is commissioned by Peterborough City Council and Cambridgeshire County Council, to offer infant feeding and emotional wellbeing support across the region in both community and hospital settings. The support is delivered by staff and volunteer peer supporters.
We are seeking a capable paid peer supporter to be responsible for providing peer support to families in our community groups, at other community venues and occasionally in the postnatal wards in Peterborough and Cambridgeshire.The post holder will be working out in the community. It will include daily travel across the Cambridgeshire region (expenses will be reimbursed). Homeworking is required to complete administrative duties.
About the Role
Working closely with the NCT Birth Feeding and You team, you will be responsible for providing peer support to families in community settings and occasionally postnatal wards across Peterborough and Cambridgeshire.
Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:

- To provide breastfeeding and perinatal peer support to parents and families in line with the NCT peer support code of conduct.
- Support in delivering inductions for volunteer peer supporters.
- To report any concerns or additional support needs of women to the NCT management team and/or Infant Feeding Lead for referral onto partner agencies as appropriate.
- To attend regular supervision/support sessions.
- To provide follow up support to women who request it, via telephone call 48 hours post discharge from hospital.
- Collecting data as and when required including case studies and narrative of work on the wards.
- Follow designated Safeguarding procedures.
You must have good communication skills and be able to build relationships and create a rapport with a wide range of people easily. This is a large project and covers multiple locations so you must be able to confidently prioritise your own work, be highly organised and able to work independently.
Being able to make decisions and respond appropriately to our staff, peer supporters and parents and other external stakeholders is essential, alongside good IT skills– including Outlook, Word and Excel – and you must have good attention to detail.
It is essential for this post that you undertake the training to become an NCT Breastfeeding Peer Supporter. This requires breastfeeding experience of at least 3 months. The training can be undertaken within your working hours. Additional training will be provided, covering emotional wellbeing and perinatal support.
The role is 18 - 21 hours per week, and can be split across 4 or 5 working days however, could include occasional evening and weekends. This is a community-based role, with regular travel across Peterborough and Cambridgeshire and some homeworking to complete administrative duties.

About the role:
The Peer Mentor & Group Coordinator will play a pivotal role in the design, delivery and project management of the Maia group programme and Peer Mentor offer. This role combines the coordination of the Maia Peer Mentor service and the design and delivery of Maia’s group programme and activities. The post holder will work closely with the Maia Service Manager and Advocates in the team to create a supportive environment for participants to build resilience, develop skills and access pathways to a safer and more stable future.
About You:
To be successful as the Peer Mentor & Group Coordinator (Young Women & Girls) you will need the below experience and skills:
You will bring at least one year’s full-time experience of supporting/working with women and girls at risk of violence and abuse, mental ill-health and/or contact with the criminal justice system. A proven track record of proactively reaching out to young people, including girls and young women, in innovative ways and successfully engaging “hard-to-reach” service users.
You will have knowledge and understanding to create and manage a programme of inclusive, strengths-based, prevention and awareness-raising groups and workshops for YWG at risk, liaising with keyworkers and partner agencies to support YWG with their development and improve their relationships skills and the ability to proactively assess risks and safety concerns, liaising with YWG’s allocated keyworker, raising concerns with the Maia Service Manager and taking appropriate action to safeguard YWG whilst working within a model of empowerment.
You are able to learn from and engage with YWG to co-design groups and workshops programme and work closely with colleagues identify opportunities for YWG to make their voices heard and share their insights with a wider audience.
You will be able to effectively engage and recruit women with lived experience to act as Peer Mentors for the YWG engaging with the Maia service.
You will be able to develop resources and deliver a training package to Peer Mentors, including sessions on key topics such as safeguarding, data protection and confidentiality, building relationships and maintaining boundaries, active listening and risk and crisis management, as well as specialist workshops focused on the challenges facing YWG, including violence, abuse and exploitation and contact with the criminal justice system.
You will have experience in developing and maintaining links with partner agencies (statutory and non-statutory, including children and young people’s and women and girls’ voluntary services) across the six boroughs, raising the profile of the Maia service and developing specific referral pathways for Volunteer Mentors and the YWG they support where appropriate.
You will be knowledgeable and have a strong understanding of the challenges facing vulnerable young women and girls, including the impacts of domestic abuse, exploitation, mental health and contact with the criminal justice system, and of the practical and emotional support needs specific to this group, including education, confidence and relationship-building.

The role of Communications and Marketing Coordinator sits within the Communications Team at Kids Matter. Purpose of role:
To provide opportunities to build employability skills and gain work experience for women who have experienced gender based violence and multiple disadvantages and help them move towards employment. This role is based within Luminary’s charity (Luminary Limited) and will play a key role in coordinating work experience within our social enterprise (Luminary Bakery Limited) and external partners for women graduating from our employability skills training programme. Main duties:
Work experience
- Responsible for ensuring that all women on the programme have access to and are taking up work experience opportunities with the support of support workers.
- Coordinate with internal colleagues at Luminary Limited and Luminary Bakery Limited to schedule regular work experience days for graduates of our programme within Luminary Bakery Limited.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders to schedule ad hoc and regular work experience placements that are suitable for graduates of our programme at partner companies
- Support the Partnerships and Evaluation Manager to identify and build relationships with new corporate partners who could host work experience placements.
- Take the lead on sharing information with women and their Luminary progression support workers about the logistics of work experience placements, ensuring they are well prepared and ready to start - as well as offering any additional support as needed.
- Keep accurate records and liaise with colleagues as necessary to ensure all women have access to and complete work experience.
- Following up with work experience participants and hosts following the placement to identify any relevant feedback for the participant; learning for future placements; and track any outcomes/impact of the experience for the LL's impact report.
Apprenticeships
- Promote apprenticeships to those on the programme and support the Partnerships and Evaluation Manager with any training for relevant staff
- Provide administrative support to monthly peer learning meetings hosted by LL Partnerships and Evaluation Manager for those across the business who are line managing graduates of our programmes
- Support the Partnerships and Evaluation Manager to record and analyse data on work experience placements and apprenticeships, and package this appropriately for different audiences including Luminary’s social impact report, social media, internal newsletters.
- Identify ways to promote and inspire Luminary trainees and graduates to take up work experience and apprenticeship opportunities, for example, inviting previous apprentices to speak on the training, creating short films or case studies etc.
Employability skills
- Support the Partnerships and Evaluation Manager to ensure all women have access to and take up opportunities to enhance their employability skills
- Work closely with the PE Manager, Training Programme Manager and Training Coordinator to agree on appropriate opportunities aligned with the broader training aims and existing programme.
- Deliver training sessions as part of our Phase 2 employability and independence programme (approx. 6-8 per year), focussed on key work skills and professional conduct.
- Organise regular CV/application drop in sessions for our alumni community where they can get support in their job search. This will include scheduling dates, communicating the opportunities to the alumni community, coordinating with staff and volunteers to run the drop in, preparing materials and organising the event on the day.
- Organise complimentary opportunities to help our alumni community to strengthen their employability skills, for example panel discussions with representatives from different industries, site visits to potential employers, talks from alumni about their employment journeys etc.
- Identify external referral pathways and opportunities for partnership around further employability skills training, for example computer skills training, interview practice, public speaking training etc.
- Research job opportunities that would be of interest to our graduates and alumni and circulate these to Progression Support Workers on a regular basis.

- Experience in coordinating events such as work experience, workshops, job fairs or other employability related activities preferably for those living with disadvantage

Role Description
The Director of Programmes is responsible for providing strategic and creative leadership to develop high quality, effective and impactful programmes and products that reflect and meet the needs of the social sector.
Main responsibilities
- Lead the design, development and delivery of leadership and management programmes, ensuring that interventions are innovative, transformational and in alignment with Clore Social’s capabilities framework and model. This will include curriculum and module design, utilising own expertise and working in partnership with others to develop learning materials.
- Preparation for, and some facilitation of, peer learning, residentials and other programme events.
- Oversee the recruitment, moderation and engagement of Clore Social programme participants.
- Build and maintain a team of diverse and high quality consultants to deliver our programmes. This includes managing relationships and agreements with them and ensuring they deliver to Clore Social values and standards.
- Oversee the evaluation of the programme outcomes and impact and closely monitor feedback and other data in order to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the CEO and the Director of Development on Clore Social’s Organisational Learning and Development offer, bringing expertise to develop bespoke packages that meet the individual needs of organisations within social purpose organisations and businesses.
- Contribute to the communications of Clore Social and be a thought leader on social sector leadership issues.
- Support and lead, where appropriate, relationships with key stakeholders, including existing and potential funding partners.

Key relationships
- The Director of Programmes will be part of our small, focused team of eight. You will work collaboratively across the team and, as a member of the senior leadership team, provide visible leadership within the organisation.
- The role will be managed by the CEO.
- The Director of Programmes leads the Programmes staff team. This will include line managing three members of staff: the Head of Programmes, the Programmes and Operations Administrator and Racial Equity Programme Lead.
- Key relationships will be built and maintained with partner organisations and a wide pool of programme directors, facilitators, coaches and trainers.

Hours and place of work
This is a full-time role to be fulfilled over a 35-hour week, within core working hours (Mon-Fri, 10am–4pm UK time), with flexibility as required.
This is a hybrid role with one day a week in our shared office space in London (Better Space, 127 Farringdon Road, London EC1R 3DA), the travel costs of which must be covered by the individual. We are open to discussing this arrangement further to accommodate individual needs and preferences.
Further UK travel will be required on occasion, the costs of which would be covered by Clore Social Leadership.
Terms, pay and benefits
- This is a permanent contract.
- Salary for this role will be £55,000-£60,000 p/a.
- The post holder is entitled to 25 days of annual leave, in addition to UK statutory holidays.
- The office is closed for one week during the winter festive period (25-31 December), providing an additional three days of annual leave in addition to the above allocation.
- You have the option to join our contributory pension scheme. The employer's contribution is 3% with a minimum employee contribution of 5%.

How you will make a difference
The Learning, OD and Engagement Partners support the Associate Director of Learning, OD and Engagement (LODE) in informing, driving and supporting learning, OD and engagement across the charity, based on a rigorous analysis of needs and ongoing measurement of impact.
The post holder will work closely with the Associate Director, People and their team to ensure that the whole team offering is based on organisational needs.

You’ll have an active role providing LGBTQ+ affirmative support for LGBTQ+ children and young people.
This is an exciting job opportunity to join a dynamic and committed team in a front-line role to support and deliver the activities and services of elop’s LGBTQ+ Children & Young People’s Service.This role offers great opportunity to work innovatively and responsively to support the genuine needs of LGBTQ+ young people.
In this role you will have opportunity to design and deliver innovative youth group support programmes (12-15, 15-18 & 18-25 year olds) & other activities; provide LGBTQ+ affirmative support, guidance and mentoring on a one-to-one basis; work with our wider family work programme, support families with LGBTQ+ children and deliver work in schools to students & teaching staff. You will support the delivery of the youth reference group of young LGBTQ+ people (to support service evaluation and development) and support volunteer mentors.
You will be responsible for the direct delivery of elop’s LGBTQ+ Young Peoples Service, including promotion, & administration, along with the induction, support & supervision of volunteers and interns. You will work alongside the wider staff team to support elop’s work with LGBTQ+ young people and contribute to sustainable service development.
The delivery of group support and activities will take place in person, but some work will initially be remote before returning to full time in person working.
Full Time: 37 hours per week
There will be two regular evening/ week and occasional weekend working required.
You must be available to work Tuesday and Thursday evenings & once a month on a Sunday afternoon. There will be occasional other evenings / weekend working required.
