The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will lead MOVE Against Cancer in its next phase of growth, ensuring that our programmes continue to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those living with and beyond cancer. CEO - KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Income Generation & Financial Responsibility
Lead the development and execution of MOVE Against Cancer’s income generation strategy across a diverse range of funders, including trusts and foundations, business partnerships, individual and community fundraising. Create and manage a realistic, achievable annual budget, ensuring that all financial performance aligns with organisational goals. Monitor and report on the organisation’s financial performance, providing regular, accurate updates to the Trustees. Develop relationships with current and potential funders, reporting back on the impact of their donations and securing further financial support. Identify new opportunities to diversify and maximise income streams to support organisational growth, ensuring that the charity can meet its long-term goals. Oversee compliance with fundraising regulations, ensuring that all fundraising activities adhere to legal and ethical standards. Ensure monthly financial reporting and performance tracking, reviewing risks, and taking corrective actions as necessary.
Strategy
Lead the sustainable growth of MOVE Against Cancer, ensuring that the organisation adapts to the evolving landscape of cancer support and related sectors. Work with the Board to regularly review and refine the organisation’s strategy, ensuring it remains responsive to external changes and opportunities.
HR, Compliance & Infrastructure Management
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislative, regulatory, and policy requirements, including health and safety, Charity Commission guidance, safeguarding, and fundraising regulations. Oversee data protection policies, ensuring that MOVE Against Cancer meets all General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and data privacy laws. Develop and review organisational policies and procedures at appropriate intervals to ensure best practices and compliance with regulations. Establish a continuous improvement framework, gathering feedback and data to guide the organisation’s strategic direction and operational excellence. Coordinate with senior leadership to ensure that all services meet or exceed the expectations of funders, partners, and beneficiaries.
Stakeholder Relationships
Protect and enhance the reputation of MOVE Against Cancer by acting as the organisation’s spokesperson Actively seek collaborations and partnerships with other charities, NHS Trusts, and relevant statutory bodies to strengthen MOVE Against Cancers impact.

Qualifications & Experience
Significant experience in growing and leading a charitable (or similar) organisation, with a proven track record of success in expanding reach and impact. Previous experience leading a charitable (or similar) organisation, including strategic planning, governance, and financial management. Demonstrated experience in leading and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy, including managing major donor relationships, grants, corporate partnerships, and community fundraising campaigns. In-depth knowledge and experience of cancer support services and the challenges faced by people living with and beyond cancer, including their families. Strong track record of working collaboratively with internal teams, partners, and stakeholders to achieve shared goals. Excellent communication, public speaking, and relationshipbuilding skills, with the ability to engage a variety of stakeholders including funders, healthcare professionals, and the public.

Key activity responsibilities of this role
Communications & Marketing (estimated to be 60%)
- Create engaging content for social media, our website, and other channels, working with the Communications Manager
- Work with the team to help broaden the diversity of our audience and engage new supporters
- Write a bi-annual supporter newsletter via Mailchimp, and assist project managers to create regional newsletters

- Programme Oversight: Working with the Programmes Office, ensure the continued delivery and development of impactful initiatives such as the Resilience Fellowship Programme, community Programmes and workshops. Key Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for marketing and communications at Soundabout which includes:
• Review, update, and deliver a marketing and communications strategy and calendar to support Soundabout's goals, supported by the CEO.
• Plan and deliver strategic marketing campaigns and events (mostly digital), with strategic support from the CEO, including an annual winter fundraising campaign and ad host virtual events to promote Soundabout and build stakeholder relations.
• Develop, manage, and update the content on Soundabout's main website (WordPress), keeping it compelling, accessible, and on brand for all our key audiences.
• Maintain and update the Soundabout Families and Soundabout Choir Hubs websites, ensuring they stay up-to-date and on brand.
• Create, publish, and schedule posts for Soundabout's social media channels with the aim of engaging and growing our audience and in line with strategy, working with the CEO and wider team to determine content. Replying to and moderating conversations in our community spaces. We are currently active on Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and Bluesky.
• Design digital and printed marketing materials and publications, such as newsletters, annual reports / impact reports, and flyers for our different audiences.
• Collate content from across the team, to write and circulate newsletters and ad hoc bulletins, editing content so it is coherent in style, using MailChimp.
• Maintain brand consistency across all communications and craft clear, engaging, and inspiring market copy and compelling communications about Soundabout’s work.
• Collaborate with colleagues and the Soundabout community to collect and share their stories in an authentic and respectful way, further developing Soundabout’s storytelling work.
• Work with Administrator to review mailing lists set up on Salesforce (our CRM system).
• Promoting Soundabout’s commissionable activities, maintaining regular communications with commissioners, and proactively anticipating and negotiating renewals.

Prospectus is delighted to be partnering with an independent grant-making charity based in London to recruit for a permanent CEO to lead them on a part time basis (0.6 FTE / 22.5hours per week). This is a stand-alone position, with no staff to manage. About the role:
This is a crucial position as it will be your responsibility to ensure the growth of the charity, enabling us to support even more children and their families in Darfur, Sudan. You will be an experienced and highly motivated leader overseeing the overall development of the charity, ensuring its continued success in its next phase of the charity’s growth. Your main duties will include:
• Provide vision and leadership for the charity setting the overall vision and strategic direction, ensuring alignment with its mission and values.
• Develop and implement a strategic plan in collaboration with the Board of Trustees.
