Summary

This role sits within the Research and Operations Team in the Philanthropy and Partnerships Department. The post holder will work closely with frontline fundraisers to provide insight and guidance relating to the management and identification of new prospects as well as wider reporting and data management activities. Main Responsibilities

This role forms an essential part of our high-value fundraising operation by working closely with fundraisers to identify and prioritise prospects through thorough desk-based research. The post holder will also be responsible for effective administration of the charity's partnership approvals process and will be instrumental to the effective rollout and adoption of the new CRM in the Philanthropy and Partnerships Department.

Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone methodical and diligent, who is comfortable working independently. The ideal candidate will have a high-level of computer literacy, particularly in relation to reporting and data management tools, but also the curiosity and tenacity to help us find the next major partner for Diabetes UK.

Main Responsibilities

As one of our regionally dispersed Community Fundraiser's, you'll be joining a busy team, where you will manage relationships with our key supporters with the primary purpose of generating income across a geographical area, through community fundraising activities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering income targets across the region by building strong relationships with individuals, local companies, community groups and volunteers, in line with our community fundraising strategy. You will also be responsible for the management and support of local third-party events in your region and in providing excellent stewardship to those supporters.

This role is home-based with regular travel across the region. There will also be regular travel to Diabetes UK offices for meetings.

Ideal Candidate

You'll be able to demonstrate a track record of meeting income targets through relationship fundraising. You'll be experienced in building and maintaining relationships with supporters and colleagues. A proactive person, you'll be self-motivated and able to work independently with a solution focussed approach. As an experienced fundraiser, you'll be confident working towards income and expenditure targets and reporting on financial progress. It is desirable that you have managed and secured corporate partnerships and have event management knowledge, though training will be provided.

We are now seeking a Communications and Campaigns Manager who will be a creative thinker able to Think Big and Act Wild whilst managing the timely and effective delivery of communications campaigns, projects and events, increasing our advocacy and fundraising impact.

Line Manager: Director of Communications and Engagement

Line Management Responsibilities: No line management. The post holder will have responsibility for maintaining management of freelancers, agencies and partners.

Your responsibilities will include:

Communications campaign development and management:

• Develop and project manage a programme of integrated communication campaigns that grab attention and encourage action across rewilding practice, policy and fundraising.
• Work closely with the Communications and Engagement team to develop aligned messaging and campaign assets and to deliver these across owned, earned and paid channels.
• Lead on the creation of compelling campaign assets and content (e.g. polls, petitions, online actions and campaign toolkits).
• Manage campaign timeframes and budgets seeking a good, quantifiable return on investment.
• Gather and present audience insight to inform our campaigns and ensure our campaigning work is evidence led.
• Set and measure campaign KPIs, conduct campaign de-briefs and write campaign evaluations, encourage a culture of testing and learning and growing our campaigning approach.
•  Seek relevant external collaboration opportunities with allies and partners to amplify our campaigns.
• Where appropriate, commission and manage the relationship with external creative, campaigning and advertising agencies.

Communications projects and events management:

• Organise, plan and deliver our involvement at online and in person events that will help to encourage action across rewilding practice, policy and fundraising (e.g. exhibition stands at party political conferences or corporate fundraising events).
• Design, deliver and project manage cross-organisational communication activities which will raise the profile of Rewilding Britain (e.g.World Rewilding Day, anniversary events).
• Support the Catalyse, Influence and Fundraising teams with the communication requirements for events (e.g. Rewilding Network conferences, fundraising dinners, panel debates, report launches).

Cross-functional collaboration:

• Work closely with the Catalyse, Influence and Fundraising teams to integrate campaign efforts and identify the relevant campaign issues, priorities and opportunities for influencing policy, fundraising and Network membership growth.
• Support the broader Communications and Engagement team to implement strategically aligned locally focused communications activities, projects and events for England, Scotland or Wales.
• Collaborate with freelancers, consultants, agencies, volunteers, supporters, and stakeholders to amplify our communications and campaigns reach and impact.
• Represent Rewilding Britain alongside other team members at events, exhibitions, workshops, conferences, rallies and more to advance our communication and campaign objectives.

Terms and conditions and staff benefits

The role is a full-time, 5-day-week (35 hours) position.

The salary is £38,000 - £43,000 per annum depending upon experience.

There will be some freedom for the person to determine their own working arrangements each week, within limitations, providing the work is delivered.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual to lead our Programmes Team whilst our current Director of Programmes is on maternity leave. The role will be fixed term from December 2024 until January 2026, although there may be further opportunities beyond the length of the contract depending on organisational growth.

The Director of Programmes will be a key member of CoachBright’s Senior Management Team, and will have input on both operational and strategic decision making. Whilst we will expect your input on matters relating to programme delivery and impact, all members of SMT are expected to contribute to decision making across the organisation. As a result, the role is an excellent opportunity to get genuine leadership experience at an educational charity, with the opportunity to report directly to our board of trustees depending on growth in the role.

The primary responsibility for the Director of Programmes will be to recruit school partners for our EEF trial, with delivery beginning September 2025. This trial is to test the impact our Peer to Peer coaching programme (Y10s coaching Y7s) can have on the maths attainment of disadvantaged pupils. The trial will require us to recruit 100 participating schools, 50 of whom will receive the intervention, with another 50 allocated to a control group.

Working alongside the CEO and the Programmes Team Leader, you will create and execute a strategy to recruit new schools as participants to this trial. As a result, experience of managing sales or partnerships with schools, or existing connections with senior leaders at secondary schools and multi-academy trusts, would be beneficial.

Alongside this, you will line manage our current Programmes Team Leader, who directly line manages our team of Programme Managers. From Sept 2025, we are expecting our Programmes Team to grow, and you will play a key role in recruiting for that expanded team. At that point, we would expect you to begin line managing a small number of Programme Managers directly.

EEF Trial

• Write and execute the strategy to deliver our EEF trial. This will primarily involve recruiting and onboarding 100 schools to participate from January 2025 through to July 2025, for programmes to begin in September 2025.

Leadership

• Be a key member of the Senior Management Team, working alongside the trustees, CEO, Director of People and Operations, and Director of Finance to drive high quality leadership and decision making.

• Work alongside the CEO to develop and define strategic priorities and targets for programmes.

• Align programmes team around organisational strategy and ensure buy in.

• Help create an organisational culture which is supportive, collaborative and embeds learning & continuous improvement across the programmes team.

People Management

• Line manage our Programmes Team Leader, who will directly line manage all of our Programme Managers. We expect the number of team members you directly manage to increase as our Programmes Team grows.

• Support the Programmes Team Leader with development and delivery of programme KPIs and ensure that Programme Managers are delivering effectively and developing in their roles. 

• Identify skills gaps and development needs for the Programmes Team and work with the Director of People and Operations to develop a training plan for the team to support with programme delivery. 

• Deliver yearly performance appraisals for direct reports.

Programme Delivery

• Overseeing the management of programme delivery in schools to meet KPIs, predominantly those related to our EEF trial.

• Leading the implementation of our primary and secondary programme delivery processes. This will include but is not limited to:

  • Staff guides and handbooks: codifying our ways of working.

  • Simplifying and automating tasks via our Monday platform. 

  • Joining up all strands of programme delivery (school induction, launch, training, impact measurement, sessions, graduation and review).

• Ensure that programmes team adhere to CoachBright’s safeguarding, health and safety and GDPR policies and procedures.

• Ensure systems and processes are working for the Programmes Team to effectively deliver programmes.

• Ensure programmes are delivered to a consistently high standard, including ensuring that our quality assurance and impact evaluation frameworks are being used consistently.

• Ensure school relationships are managed appropriately and that termly retention targets are met.

• Oversee the budget for programme delivery including printing cost, room bookings and programme events.

• Carry out other tasks that are within the scope and spirit of the role.

Volunteer recruitment and training

• Alongside the Team Leader, oversee and provide input on our volunteer recruitment plan, in order to deliver our Core programmes. (Distinct from our Peer to Peer programmes, our Core programmes feature undergraduate volunteers coaching, rather than senior pupils).

Programme Design and Impact

• Project manage the development of programme resources including workshops, session plans and launch and graduation materials, particularly those related to the EEF trial.

• Work with our Data & Impact Manager to capture programme impact via feedback forms, Impact Reports and Annual Reports.

Safeguarding

• Act as CoachBright’s National Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).

• Support the National DSL in developing and establishing CoachBright’s organisation’s approach to safeguarding.

• Support the National DSL with the coordination of the distribution of policies, procedures and safeguarding resources throughout the organisation.

• Provide safeguarding advice and support to staff and volunteers.

• Manage safeguarding concerns, allegations or incidents escalated up. 

• Manage referrals to key safeguarding agencies e.g. social services or police of any incidents or allegations of abuse and harm.

Key responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning & Development

• Lead the overall strategic direction for WECare’s digital marketing, focusing on long-term growth and engagement.
• Develop and oversee comprehensive marketing strategies and communication plans to increase awareness and supporter engagement.

Overall purpose

Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations initially, the role holder will have technical leadership and overall responsibility for managing the Data and Innovation team. This team helps Breaking Barriers maximise the value of its data, by conducting analysis and managing the CRM (Salesforce) and related software.

The team works across all areas of the organisation to improve processes, unlock efficiencies through automation and generate insights from data. They ensure that data is utilised to inform any innovations or refinements to our services.

The successful candidate will be an entrepreneurial manager with a high level of data literacy. We are looking for someone strategic, highly organised and a strong people and team manager. They will be confident at communicating data in a variety of ways to a large range of audiences, identifying key take-aways and the broader implications of the findings on our clients and programming. They will also be able to train others in key data analysis and communication skills.

ODAC continues to be on a journey of organisational change and growth, with the financial implications that come with that, having begun to diversify our business model to expand our programmes.

We are therefore recruiting a Finance Manager to lead the implementation and delivery of best-practice financial management and planning, ensuring that ODAC is ready to continue to increase our charitable impact.

This is the first Finance Manager role in the organisation and the role will involve using your knowledge and experience to develop the way that ODAC works. In recent years, financial management has been led by the Chief Executive, with a freelance book-keeping contractor and a 0.5 days/ week Finance Administrator, and we have an experienced Finance Lead on the Board of Trustees.

The Finance Manager will lead on bookkeeping, financial management, and providing support and advice to budget holders. Cosmic supports the children’s and neonatal intensive care units at St Mary’s and Queen Charlotte’s Hospitals in London. The charity funds vital medical equipment, provides family support services, and enables staff training and education. At Cosmic the Service Delivery Manager role will be pivotal in enhancing collaboration between Cosmic and NHS units across two hospital sites. This newly created role focuses on managing critical service delivery projects and campaigns.

Key responsibilities include building relationships within the PICU (Paediatric Intensive Care Unit) and NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit), promoting Cosmic’s mission, and managing health campaigns and projects.
