As our next Philanthropy Manager, you would focus on raising £10k-£100k+ gifts. You will become part of a collaborative, supportive and positive team and have the opportunity to grow in the role so that we can help you to achieve what you want next in your career. We champion regular learning to develop our skills as face-to-face relationship fundraisers and you will be supported by your line-manager and peers to feel confident with external activity and to try out new ideas. 

It is a really exciting time to join as we enter the private phase of Parkinson’s UK’s £12m Nurse Appeal, and grow our philanthropic income for our research and the Parkinson’s Virtual Biotech, our international drug discovery programmes. 

What you’ll do

• Identify, cultivate and manage relationships with a pipeline of donors and prospects 
• Deliver pipeline activity and income targets
• Secure and deliver a high volume of donor/prospect in-person touchpoints, involving Parkinson’s UK senior leadership in key relationships 
• Deliver first-class stewardship by maximising engagement opportunities within our stewardship programme
• Manage the day-to-day activity of our fundraising board and secure new gifts through their networks
• Work with our Nurse Appeal senior volunteer donors to build your pipeline
• Lead on prospecting projects, collaborating with the prospect research and wider colleagues across the charity 

What you’ll bring

• Demonstrable experience of successful major donor fundraising
• A strong track record of building successful relationships with major donors through one-to-one meetings, phone calls, communications, events and bespoke cultivation 
• Excellent verbal presentation and persuasive writing skills 
• The confidence to influence, negotiate and inspire stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally 
• Ability to work autonomously and manage a diverse workload with appropriate time management, planning and prioritisation
• Ability to proactively identify, qualify and generate new prospects 
• Interest in learning about Parkinson’s UK’s strategy and developing an understanding and empathy with the Parkinson’s community

Fundraising Lead

We’re looking for an experienced Fundraising Lead to join an important charity that exists to help Surrey’s unpaid carers, aged 5-95 to help people feel more in control of their lives and less alone.
 

Position: Fundraising Lead

Salary: £25,875 for 30 hours per week, full-time equivalent salary is £31,051

About the role:

The Fundraising Lead will be responsible for building and maintaining corporate partnerships that increase income and diversify funding. The post holder’s primary focus will be community organisations, businesses and other bodies.

You will support the organisation to deliver services and support for unpaid carers. You will be engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, and drive fundraising efforts, community engagement, gifts-in-kind, volunteer engagement and awareness raising.

Key areas of responsibility include:  

• Develop a partnership engagement strategy that raises the profile of the organisation.
• Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with community and corporate partners that support fundraising, gifts-in-kind and volunteer engagement.
• Act as the primary point of contact for community and corporate partners.

About you:

This new position, reporting to the Marketing Manager, requires a dynamic self-starter with excellent communication and networking skills, capable of developing relationships.

Key skills required for this role:

• Experience working in community engagement, business development, or similar roles.
• Experience in identifying, supporting and growing relationships with corporate partners and/or community groups
• Experience organising events and engagement activities.
• Knowledge of developing stakeholder engagement plans/strategies (preferably in the not-for-profit or charitable sectors).
• Confident in delivering engaging presentations and activities to diverse groups of stakeholders.
• An innovative approach to engaging partners and stakeholders with a willingness to try new initiatives.

Future Roots Supported accommodation is located in Welwyn Garden City. What will you be doing? 

• Manage a varied caseload with differing timescales and deadlines.

• Be involved in the screening and interview process of potential new Housemates. 

• Build a professional and trusting relationship with the young people to enable to them to engage with the support and improve their situation and prospects. 

• Provide 1-1 and group support and opportunities to learn identified life skills for independent living, using a range of tools and skills, including hyh’s ASDAN training package.

• Sleep at the accommodation overnight on an adhoc basis and in the case of an emergency or organsiational need.  An additional payment will be made to cover for any overnight shifts required,

• Report any safeguarding (child protection) concerns to your line-manager and refer as appropriate 

• Be part of a team responsible to ensure the property is meeting all requiredstandards, which will include: 

  • Regular Health and Safety checks 

  • Co-ordinating Building maintenance 

  • Risk Assessments 

• To promote and facilitate Youth Engagement across the service 

• Engage effectively in multi-agency working, developing collaborative relationships and partnerships with relevant staff in a range of agencies to broker and co-ordinate support for young people.

We’re Railway Children, an international charity working to create long-lasting change for street-connected children and young people in the UK, India and Tanzania. We are looking for a Regional Manager (based in the Glasgow area) to come and join our UK Programme Team.

As part of a dynamic team delivering the Safeguarding on Transport (ST) project, you will be responsible for developing our community engagement work across Yorkshire as well as supporting our wider UK programme.  The role will require you to engage the public and work closely with British Transport Police, station staff and employees as well as local services in the area. You will support our innovative Safeguarding Action Groups that catalyse communities working in and around stations to combine efforts and resources to keep people safe.

Your engaging manner, strong people skills and experience managing stakeholder relationships will ensure that you are able to help create a safer rail network that is actively seeking to look out for and protect vulnerable young people.

This Glasgow based role will combine a blend of working from home with being out meeting members of the community across Glasgow and the Northwest of England - especially in and around some of the busiest stations.

Endometriosis UK is the leading UK charity supporting those living with endometriosis. Formed in 1981, we offer information and support to women and those assigned female at birth with endometriosis, for example through our website and information leaflets, and via our local support groups, Helpline and online forum. As well as directly supporting those with endometriosis, we work to raise awareness of endometriosis amongst healthcare professionals, the public and the media; lobby for improved treatment and management; and support research.

The Communications and Campaigns team works to improve awareness of endometriosis and drive change for those affected by the disease. About this job

We’re looking for an experienced and dynamic Head of Policy and Evidence to lead our policy, social research, and healthcare professional engagement activity to improve the lives of people affected by MS.

You'll provide leadership and strategic direction, ensuring the Policy and Evidence team has clear priorities and a proactive and impact-driven approach. Strong management and leadership skills are essential to this role.

Acting as a senior spokesperson for our policy and evidence work, you’ll need to be influential both internally and externally, including representing the MS Society at a range of external meetings with a variety of audiences.

You’ll play a crucial role championing the role of impactful evidence based decision making across the organisation and have substantial experience of supporting the development of issue-based influencing campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of securing policy change across a broad range of issues and influencing policy makers at a UK or national level.

Please note this is a fixed term contract for 9 months starting in January 2025.

About the role

The main purpose of this role is to develop and deliver our approach to maintain and grow corporate fundraising income, to support our mission to improve mental health in Hampshire. You will join us at an exciting time, having just launched our new three-year strategy, and this role is pivotal in helping us achieve our strategic ambitions in the years ahead.

The role is to lead the corporate fundraising activities for Solent Mind, which have grown significantly over the last five years. This will include maximising support through Charity of the Year relationships and participation in activities, events and challenges in aid of Solent Mind, and by securing one-off gifts in support of Solent Mind. You will research and build our corporate pipeline and support the delivery of our wider employer engagement which covers all aspects of employment engagement including fundraising, training and mental health employer service. 

This role is within Solent Mind’s fundraising and external engagement team, and the successful candidate will manage and be supported by the Corporate Fundraising Officer.

About you

You will be an experienced corporate fundraiser or have relevant relationship fundraising or B2B sales experience, together with a proven track record in meeting and exceeding financial and other targets. You will be an effective communicator with excellent written and presentation skills. You should possess good negotiating and influencing skills, as well as excellent relationship management skills, and be highly pro-active and skilled in generating new business leads and moving warm prospects through the ‘sales’ cycle. 

You will demonstrate the ability to motivate and develop your direct reports and will ideally have experience supervising both staff and volunteers.
