About the role:
We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled project manager (with sales and engagement experience for the FT role) who will help create, execute and evaluate multi project plans and engagement strategies whilst continuously assessing impact and ROI. You will be a driven project manager with a business mind that has a passion for excellence and delivering high quality outputs that show impact. From planning with the Training Manager to developing and delivering project plans with the Head of Training, Training team, SMT and external partners, you will thrive on the smooth running of our training operations. There is also a focus on engagement and sales to fill our courses for the full-time role, with the support and direction of our Head of Marketing and Communications. You will be someone who loves to exceed targets and sales with outreach activities.
Please reflect that while this is a highly rewarding role with significant real world impact, grit and resilience is required due to the demands of remote working, the subject matter, fast paced and flexible multi-tasking, and the need for a highly goal and results oriented approach.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
· To project manage all our training and services with effective and clear planning, delivery, evaluation and reporting
· Manage contract development, communications, budget planning, timelines and reporting to clients and SMT
· Identify, nurture, and grow client relationships
· Negotiate and influence showing diplomacy, whilst maintaining a firm stance that projects are delivered within our resources and in time
· Work successfully in partnership with a range of internal and external staff and other stakeholders
· Report on progress of each project ensuring filling all training courses places, including doing engagement activity to fill places against set targets and KPIs.
· Work with the Head of Finance to ensure we set realistic targets, budgets and ensure we analyse income performance
· Work closely with the Training Manager and Head of Training, SMT and wider training team to implement the training strategy and action plans to drive forward and grow our training
· Develop action plans with Head of Marketing and Communications for each course and then implement these operationally to drive engagement, increase visibility, sales and income to improve our course sales
· Working with the Training Manager to ensure quality assurance across our courses including proofreading documents and overseeing our training Powerpoints
· To analyse training evaluation data to identify any risks (such as courses not being filled)
· Make recommendations for efficiencies and improve the client experience from initial contact to feedback
· To have oversight of and refinement of our systems and processes such as Salesforce and communications
· Ensure that all training activities adhere to relevant health and safety regulations, safeguarding, suicide prevention and ethical guidelines
· Do any duties to support the Training Manager.

For this role, you will need:
· Evidence of leading and implementation of successful project plans to deadlines and within budgets
· Evidence of operational, financial and business planning and the financial acumen to set and monitor budgets
· Experience of building excellent client relationships including the public and people at a high level within organisations
· Great negotiation and diplomacy skills whilst having the confidence to ensure your projects are delivered to plan
· To be an excellent verbal and written communicator and experience of adapting your communications to different clients
· To be a confident negotiator and clear presenter
· Proven track record of increasing sales and/ or income through effective engagement
· To have a positive “can-do” attitude and enjoy adapting to different tasks and challenges
· The ability to work independently and in a team
· Willingness to learn and grow from the support and direction from the Training Manager
· Represent Grassroots Suicide Prevention on external groups and promote our services and expertise.
· Experience of Eventbrite Microsoft Office Excel, Office, and Outlook, CRM systems (such as Salesforce), Eventbrite, SurveyMonkey, Mailchimp etc

Role Description
The Director of Programmes is responsible for providing strategic and creative leadership to develop high quality, effective and impactful programmes and products that reflect and meet the needs of the social sector.
Main responsibilities
- Lead the design, development and delivery of leadership and management programmes, ensuring that interventions are innovative, transformational and in alignment with Clore Social’s capabilities framework and model. This will include curriculum and module design, utilising own expertise and working in partnership with others to develop learning materials.
- Preparation for, and some facilitation of, peer learning, residentials and other programme events.
- Oversee the recruitment, moderation and engagement of Clore Social programme participants.
- Build and maintain a team of diverse and high quality consultants to deliver our programmes. This includes managing relationships and agreements with them and ensuring they deliver to Clore Social values and standards.
- Oversee the evaluation of the programme outcomes and impact and closely monitor feedback and other data in order to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the CEO and the Director of Development on Clore Social’s Organisational Learning and Development offer, bringing expertise to develop bespoke packages that meet the individual needs of organisations within social purpose organisations and businesses.
- Contribute to the communications of Clore Social and be a thought leader on social sector leadership issues.
- Support and lead, where appropriate, relationships with key stakeholders, including existing and potential funding partners.
- Develop and manage the Programmes budget.
- Stay up to date with leadership development and social sector trends.
- Provide co-leadership of the organisation as a member of the senior leadership team.

Key relationships
- The Director of Programmes will be part of our small, focused team of eight. You will work collaboratively across the team and, as a member of the senior leadership team, provide visible leadership within the organisation.
- The role will be managed by the CEO.
- The Director of Programmes leads the Programmes staff team. This will include line managing three members of staff: the Head of Programmes, the Programmes and Operations Administrator and Racial Equity Programme Lead.
- Key relationships will be built and maintained with partner organisations and a wide pool of programme directors, facilitators, coaches and trainers.

Hours and place of work
This is a full-time role to be fulfilled over a 35-hour week, within core working hours (Mon-Fri, 10am–4pm UK time), with flexibility as required.
This is a hybrid role with one day a week in our shared office space in London (Better Space, 127 Farringdon Road, London EC1R 3DA), the travel costs of which must be covered by the individual. We are open to discussing this arrangement further to accommodate individual needs and preferences.
Further UK travel will be required on occasion, the costs of which would be covered by Clore Social Leadership.
Terms, pay and benefits
- This is a permanent contract.
- Salary for this role will be £55,000-£60,000 p/a.
- The post holder is entitled to 25 days of annual leave, in addition to UK statutory holidays.
- The office is closed for one week during the winter festive period (25-31 December), providing an additional three days of annual leave in addition to the above allocation.
- You have the option to join our contributory pension scheme. The employer's contribution is 3% with a minimum employee contribution of 5%.

About the role
We’re looking to recruit a Chief Advisor for Climate Change to join our Science team and ensure that we are viewed as a science and evidence-based organisation with conservation programmes and communications that are always informed by the latest scientific thinking when covering the issue of climate change.
As Chief Advisor you will be responsible for leading our scientific understanding of climate change and providing strategic direction to the breadth of work undertaken by the organisation. Specifically, you will focus on the interface between land-use change/habitat degradation and climate change. This would include, for example, the links between climate change and extreme weather events, the risks and consequences of a 1.5C overshoot and global tipping points. This will involve keeping ahead of, and influencing, the external debate and ensuring we are engaged with, informed of, and can use, the latest climate science reports from the IPCC and other relevant UK and international institutions. You will also contribute to the development of policy positions, maintain external networks and support fundraising initiatives.
We’re looking for someone with:
· A relevant qualification (a PhD is beneficial), and/or equivalent experience in this field.
· Experience as a senior adviser or lead specialist in the subject of climate change.
· Good grasp of current science covering climate change and in policy agendas, nationally and internationally.
· Ability to translate knowledge into policy, communications & programme design.
· Excellent communication, influencing & interpersonal skills.
· Desire to embrace and encourage collaborative working.

About the role:
We are looking to appoint an Events Manager who will be responsible for leading the events programme. This will include developing, promoting and delivering a range of events that maximise income, drives supporter engagement and raises our profile.
Reporting to the Head of Communication, the Events Manager will work closely with the organisation senior stakeholders and the fundraising teams to develop a strategy for special events that drives major funder engagement, cultivates opportunities, and maximises income.

Job Description
The purpose of this role is three-fold.

BACKGROUND
Theatre director Michael Grandage CBE established MGCfutures as a charity in 2013 with the royalties from his first independent West End season.
Having transitioned mid-career from actor to director Michael is acutely aware of the obstacles and hardships that can prevent creative artists and technicians from achieving their true potential.
Since 2016 the charity’s primary focus has been its innovative bursary programme supporting career development across the theatre industry – from writers, directors and producers to costume designers, theatrical milliners and stage carpenters.
MGCfutures provides vital bridging support for theatre makers who reach a crucial stage in their chosen career.
The current Director, Andrew Broadley, is stepping down to pursue personal projects after seven years in the role. During his time with the charity there have been a total of 141 bursary awards amounting to more than £500,000.
As the programme continues to grow so does the charity’s need for funds.
The new Chair, Lady Lowy Mitchell (appointed in 2023) is committed to increasing the charity’s income and has considerable experience of fundraising and development. She intends to work closely with the incoming Director to achieve a minimum of £150,000 raised year on year.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Finance to oversee all financial operations and ensure our foundation adheres to the highest standards of regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
- Oversee all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, ensuring alignment with the foundation’s strategic goals across UK and Brazil
- Manage and monitor cash flow, forecasts by restricted causes , and the overall financial performance.
- Prepare accurate financial reports for the COO, Founders or and Board of Trustees, including monthly management accounts, impact reports and reporting against the agreed KPIs
- Lead on the preparation of the annual budget, consolidating the UK and Brazil budget, and provide financial analysis to support decision-making across the organization.
Ensure compliance with all tax, financial, and regulatory requirements relevant to a charitable organization.
Compliance and Governance:
- Ensure the foundation complies with all legal, regulatory, and ethical standards, particularly in the charity and non-profit sector.
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures to manage risk and ensure strong governance across UK and Brazil
- Manage relationships with external auditors, ensuring timely submission of audited accounts and submissions to charities commission
- Monitor changes in relevant legislation and the charity sector, advising senior management on compliance and regulatory matters.
- Act as the main point of contact for legal matters and ensure that contracts and agreements are legally sound.
Risk Management:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management framework to identify and mitigate financial, operational, and reputational risks.
- Conduct regular audits of internal systems and processes to identify areas of improvement.
- Implement safeguards to protect the foundation’s assets and reputation.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor the finance analyst, promoting a culture of transparency, integrity, and excellence.
- Collaborate with the program teams to ensure financial goals and project goals are aligned.
- Support the fundraising team in grant applications, ensuring financial compliance and reporting for all grants and donations.
Key Requirements:
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or other relevant professional qualification.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of senior financial management experience, preferably in the charity, non-profit, or social enterprise sector.
- Strong understanding of financial management, charity governance, and compliance requirements.
- Experience in managing external audits and working with auditors, legal professionals, and regulatory bodies.
- Excellent knowledge of charity tax laws, financial regulations, and best practices.
- Demonstrated experience in risk management and developing compliance frameworks.
- Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate financial information to non-finance senior stakeholders and Founders clearly.

This is a varied and exciting communications role which sits in the fast-paced High Value Operations team in the Income and Engagement directorate. In the role, you’ll work closely with colleagues across the High Value Fundraising teams and beyond to lead on writing high value funding proposals, impact reports, event collateral and other impact focussed donor communications (£100,000+). You’ll be working collaboratively with teams across the organisation to gather the information you need to demonstrate impact for our donors – including major donors, trusts and corporate partners.
Working to briefs provided by fundraising relationship managers, you’ll use your knowledge of the organisation to create compelling and emotive narratives tailored to the donor, putting the stories of people affected by dementia at the heart of your proposals and reports. Your written work will engage supporters and encourage donations towards projects being delivered across Alzheimer’s Society. In the role, you’ll also review the written work of colleagues and feedback about how they can be strengthened in line with a set of quality principles.
Impact Comms is a close-knit, dynamic, virtual team who have the opportunity to get together face to face at least once a quarter. You’ll work closely alongside one other Impact Communications Officer and the two Managers in Impact Communications. And as part of the wider High Value Operations team, you’ll be empowering fundraising teams to deliver a first-class experience to their supporters.
You will:
- Have a proven track record in producing high-quality written communications, ideally for a fundraising audience.
- Have experience in making complex information engaging and accessible for different audiences.
- Have a problem-solving approach and be comfortable working in a busy team where no two weeks are the same.
- Confidently work with stakeholders across the Society to provide a high quality, seamless experience for our supporters
- Expertly create exciting, bespoke high-value (£100,000+) proposals that secure major donations, and demonstrating the impact of these donations through tailored, compelling reports that inspire future support.
About you
You are:
- A strategic thinker with a passion for creative writing who is able to juggle multiple projects at once
- Able to communicate, particularly in writing, compellingly, persuasively and credibly with a range of audiences
- Able to adapt and present complex information accurately, clearly and succinctly
- Able to manage several projects proactively and simultaneously: setting priorities, solving problems, working collaboratively, and meeting agreed standards and deadlines
A broad existing knowledge of the UK voluntary sector is required, while knowledge of working with high value audiences (charitable trusts, corporate partners and major donors) would be beneficial to the role, but not essential. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to develop their communications skills and their understanding of High-Value fundraising and donor communications more widely, as you’ll get the opportunity to take a creative lead on a huge range of written comms within a supportive and collaborative team
