As Supporter Care Manager you will play a key role in Viva’s Fundraising & Engagement team, building relationships with and providing exceptional supporter care to our donors – including individuals, churches and community groups. We are one of 46 independent Wildlife Trusts operating across the UK. Key Responsibilities

• Will contribute fully to the day to day operation of their team or area, with flexibility and without the need for close supervision

• Review the twice-monthly purchase ledger payments and monthly payroll for Alpha providing first-time compliance and accuracy checks.
• Review the monthly credit card payments for Alpha to make sure compliance with the expense policy and accuracy checks.
• Take responsibility with the Alpha Financial Controller for ensuring strong financial controls, good governance, and statutory compliance
• Assist the Alpha Finance Director and Financial Controller with projects on an ad-hoc basis.
• Detailed monthly bank reconciliation for Alpha with queries sent to responsible person for posting.
• Assist the Alpha Risk and Governance Team with Due diligence on grants outward –ensuring these are recorded completely and accurately; and that due diligence requirements are followed up, assessed, and filed
• Take responsibility for detailed analysis and reconciliation of all regional expenditure and income analysis
• Monthly Intercompany reconciliations and follow up
• Supporting the development of financial awareness across the charity and its operations at all levels of management and administration
• Review/approval of new suppliers on Dimensions (including checking and entering supplier bank details in Dimensions and Stonex)
• Assistance with Monthly Management accounts (forecasting, liaison with departments/regions etc)
• Involvement in the annual budget process (e.g. arranging meetings & checking templates to budget steer)

In this role, you will provide essential administrative support to a specialised Cases Unit, playing a key part in its day-to-day functions. This role in our dynamic and friendly research team, reporting to the director of research operations, will require you to have excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities to support the delivery of all aspects of the NURTuRE biobank. You will be confident, highly organised, with excellent administration and communication skills and enjoy working in a busy, fast-paced environment.
 
The role will involve working closely with external scientists, clinicians and biobanking experts together with patients and other external stakeholders, as well as cross-team working with other charity teams.

The Role
Develop, manage and review processes and procedures for all fundraising income and data across on and offline platform.

Manage the Supporter Data teams expenditure budget and work with the HODAR to contribute to annual budgeting and regular reforecasting.

Be responsible for management and development of the Hospices supporter CRM, including regular review of the teams CRM needs.

Line manage, develop and provide professional support and guidance to the two Supporter Data Officers.

The Candidate
Experience of CRM database management and developing and maintaining database processes and procedures.

Experience of working with data for marketing purposes, including effective and compliant handling of communication preferences.

Experience of managing income processing and reconciliation.

Experience of undertaking data analysis and presenting this in appropriate formats to inform business decisions.

We are therefore recruiting a Finance Manager to lead the implementation and delivery of best-practice financial management and planning, ensuring that ODAC is ready to continue to increase our charitable impact.

This is the first Finance Manager role in the organisation and the role will involve using your knowledge and experience to develop the way that ODAC works. In recent years, financial management has been led by the Chief Executive, with a freelance book-keeping contractor and a 0.5 days/ week Finance Administrator, and we have an experienced Finance Lead on the Board of Trustees.

The Finance Manager will lead on bookkeeping, financial management, and providing support and advice to budget holders. They will collaborate with the Director on financial planning and reporting, and will be responsible for reviewing and implementing best practices, ensuring that the charity’s financial functions are fit for its size, purpose, and growth.

Regional Communications Manager

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on communications all-rounder with a breadth of skills to help deliver the strategic communications objectives for a national youth charity.

The charity is poised at an exciting phase of growth, with seven large scale youth centres (called Youth Zones) set to open over the next three years, a new three year organisational strategy, and an ambitious strategic communications strategy to support this in place.

About the Role

This is a key role within the communications team that will see you create understanding and awareness between the organisation and the key local and regional audiences that matter, as the charity embarks on its biggest ever period of growth. 

This role will involve managing a small portfolio of local end-to-end integrated communications and PR programmes at various stages, to launch new Youth Zones in Barnsley, Crewe, Grimsby and Preston.  You will work closely with each Youth Zone’s Relationship Managers and Fundraisers, as well as its CEO, and Trustee Board, and Young People's Development Group, acting as their trusted communications advisor.

In addition, you will oversee and lead a fundraising focussed communications and marketing campaign to boost reach to new funders (who we call Founder Patrons) in the areas where there are new Youth Zones.

The breadth of this role means no two days are the same, which is why we are seeking somebody organised, dynamic and self-motivated with exceptional project management and stakeholder management skills.

About You

We will be looking for someone that can demonstrate a broad range of communications skills from working with local media to place newsworthy, positive stories around the Youth Zones development, to supporting the development of new Youth Zones websites.

If you are as confident pitching a story to media as you are managing a branding project or overseeing an event, then this could be the role for you.

There will also be opportunities to contribute to the national communications plan, working closely with the Director of Communications and Brand on several high-profile projects, including overseeing and launching the new Youth Advocates programme, working with young people across the Network.
