The post holder will be responsible for their own caseload. This post will involve the assessment and appropriate treatment of people presenting with mental health problems, working within NHS Talking Therapies. The post holder will be expected to attend regular supervision and may have additional areas of responsibility for clinical service development as required.
The post holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and work in various community settings (including GP surgeries) and psychological treatment centres.

Key responsibilities:
Clinical
1. Accept referrals via agreed protocols within the service.
2. Conduct assessments and therapy over the telephone, telemedicine and face to face.
3. Offer High Intensity treatment in individual and group settings (as agreed)
4. Make decisions on suitability of new referrals, adhering to the department’s referral protocols, and refer unsuitable clients on to the relevant service or back to the referral agent as necessary.
5. Formulate, implement and evaluate therapy programmes for people attending the service.
6. Educate and involve family members and others in treatment as necessary, conveying formulations with sensitivity in easily understood language.
7. Take responsibility for promoting access to the services provided and the delivery of cognitive behavioural therapies in the peripheral settings where the therapist works. For example, therapists working within GP Surgeries will be expected to attend GP Practice meetings and develop and maintain professional relationships with members of the primary care team. They will be expected to promote the service by ensuring that there are readily available promotional material for both members of the public and members of the primary care team.
8. Liaise with other psychological therapy services in order to work jointly to improve provision of psychological services to local residents.
9. Plan appropriate packages of care for each service user. Liaise as appropriate with other professionals within the service and externally to effectively communicate your assessment and facilitate transfer of care to an appropriate professional.
10. Conduct risk assessments, prepare risk management plans and initiate appropriate action where indicated (including referrals to relevant secondary care services and child and adult safeguarding services)
11. Elicit outcome data from people using services and their carers. Use the TALKING THERAPIES IAPTUS system to record clinical contact details, clinical records, outcome data, and passage though the care pathway.
12. Ensure that people under your care are cared for appropriately under the stepped care framework as currently in use within the service.
13. Adhere to the operations manual and other relevant protocols and procedures as directed by your line manager.
14. Take personal (unprompted) responsibility for achieving agreed clinical activity relating to the number of therapy contact hours per week.
15. Actively contribute to and support the integration of clinical governance in the service within your own area of work and contribute to service clinical governance process in a specific area of work under the direction and supervision of a Senior Therapist.
16. Develop an area of enhanced (specialist) clinical work (e.g. PTSD, OCD, Long Term Health Conditions, Perinatal, Eating Disorders, Social phobia etc). It is expected that the areas of specialist work will shift in focus over time to reflect service need and your need to continuing professional development.
17. Carry out clinical audits of aspects of the CBT service as directed, including feedback from people who have used the service, analyse and feedback to the service verbally and in writing.
Training and Supervision
18. Attend clinical supervision in group or individual format within service.
19. Participate in peer supervision with professional colleagues.
20. Develop and engage in your own CPD, including active engagement in and use of clinical supervision of your own therapy.
21. Attend and fulfil all the requirements of the TALKING THERAPIES approved training/ workshops in line with identified professional objectives.
22. Support peer learning through attending and contributing to journal clubs and other in-house service CPD events
23. Once suitable supervision training and experience has been gained, supervise other staff as directed
Professional

Almshouse Manager: circa £34,000
36.5 hours per week – over an average of 3 days per week, Monday to Saturday, plus up to one hour on alternate Sunday mornings, over a two-week period on a rota basis. Each day’s work will commence at 09:00 hours and finish at 21:00* hours with a break at lunch time and a break in the evening. This also provides flexibility for a daily check-in / on-call hour on 3 non-working days.
• Oversee appointments of potential Almshouse residents, carrying out interviews and ensuring effective support to new residents as they settle into their home
• Provide line management to the warden, ensuring all mandatory and other training is completed and in place

Groundswell is recruiting a Health In-Reach Navigator to join our Health Promotion Team to arrange, develop and run Health Promotion In-Reach sessions in homelessness services across London.
We know that if you are experiencing homelessness, you will be disproportionately affected by health inequalities and often lack access to suitable information and support that could help you independently manage your health and wellbeing. Our approach:

Everyone has a right to access healthcare including screening and preventative services.

Health and wellbeing look different for everyone. Health promotion should not alienate people by setting standards that are unattainable but should support them to look at what they can practically do to feel better right now.

Everyone’s ‘normal’ is different. Someone who is smoking crack or who is dependent on alcohol might have bodily functions that are different to what is ‘normal’ for the average person. People need to be aware of their own ‘normal’ so that they know when something is wrong.
The Health In-Reach Navigator will be working with the teams in hostels and day centres, going to the places where people live or go to access vital services like food and showers. Ideally, they will have their own first-hand experience of using or working in services supporting people around homelessness, substance misuse, mental health, poverty, asylum and immigration, or the criminal justice system.
Our services are co-produced by people with first-hand experience of the issues we are trying to address.
The Navigator should be comfortable with continuously evolving and adapting the service, tailoring it to the specific needs of the people we work with, developing sessions informed by direct feedback and direction from people living in hostels and using homelessness Day Centres.
Our Health Promotion Work
The Health Promotion Team:

Deliver group ‘in-reach’ sessions led by staff and volunteers with first-hand experience of homelessness, using health promotion resources to engage people with health issues and talk to them about options available.

Support clinical services going into hostels and day centres to deliver preventative health measures such as screening and vaccinations.

Co-produce and support the development of accessible health promotion resources about health services and health issues with people who have experienced homelessness that inform, advise, and help people manage their health.

Co-produce health and wellbeing resources for staff working within the homelessness sector, better equipping them to support the people who use their services and improve longer term health outcomes.

Contribute to producing resources for staff working in healthcare, better equipping them to understand the challenges that people experiencing homelessness might face in accessing services.
We have a range of accessible, targeted materials around vaccination, screening and other health issues that can be used by our team and supported accommodation staff to support sessions. We are planning to develop more of these, particularly looking at screening and rights to access healthcare.
By carrying out Health Promotion In-Reach in hostels and Day Centres we aim to:

Increase awareness of specific health issues, what services are available and the pathways for accessing them.

Encourage people to identify their own health priorities, and to address their health concerns, offering them the tools to tackle issues and access services.

Support people in identifying shared interests in particular health issues and delivering in-reach sessions that demonstrably reflect those shared interests.

Reach more people to support with 1-1 appointments through our Homeless Health Peer Advocacy (HHPA) service.
The group in-reach model enables people with similar experiences to come together and reflect on overcoming challenges. As a project based on Advocacy principals, we do not tell people what they should do; but encourage autonomy to make safe and realistic choices. We:

Meet with people to ask what their health priorities are and look at potential topics for upcoming sessions. These topics are then shared with the staff team from the hostel/day centre so they can feed in.

Draft an in-reach programme and plan dates, times, and promotion of sessions, involving staff teams at each site.

Organise and co-deliver 5-10 sessions on the priorities identified by people experiencing homelessness and the staff working with them
-
All sessions focus on residents’ voices being heard first, then Groundswell facilitated discussion supported and informed by Groundswell health promotion information and/or clinicians.
The Health Promotion team also work with a range of external partners around screening and preventive care.
We work with partners to arrange health events at homelessness services; promoting the sessions by talking to residents prior to teams visiting and supporting on the day to maximise uptake.
About HHPA
Our Health Promotion work sits alongside our Homeless Health Peer Advocacy (HHPA) Program. Groundswell created HHPA in Westminster in 2010, to support people experiencing homelessness to overcome multiple barriers preventing access to healthcare, initially through funding from the NHS Regional Innovation Fund. Since then, HHPA has since flourished into a multi award-winning service working across London.
Health creates a foundation to move out of homelessness. Groundswell’s person led health services enable people who are homeless to access the health care they need, so they are not disadvantaged by the health inequalities embedded in our systems. Our health work is delivered by a team where most people have their own experience of homelessness, shared experience builds up a level of trust when there can be mistrust of ‘professionals’, because of past trauma or negative experiences.
The service is delivered by volunteer Peer Advocates and staff Case Workers, who build trusting relationships with clients and support them to access, navigate and use healthcare services. They aim to increase people’s self-confidence and improve their ability to independently access the services they need, which can include everything from registering for a GP, dentistry treatment, mental health referrals, hospital appointments, and much more.
Groundswell is unique in bridging the divide between health and homelessness organisations. We work in partnership with numerous organisations across London to support the delivery of our peer advocacy service.
Health In-reach Navigator Tasks
The Health In-Reach Navigator will be a vital member of our team, working collaboratively with various partners and agencies to deliver In-Reach sessions and connect individuals experiencing homelessness with essential healthcare services. This position offers autonomy, flexibility, and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to people’s lives.
Lead on planning and delivery of health promotion sessions working with key stakeholders to shape sessions:

AIMS / PURPOSE OF THE POST

MAIN DUTIES
The Services Coordinator is responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:

The Mare and Foal Sanctuary rescues abandoned, neglected, or abused horses and ponies, offering them sanctuary for life. In each of our five peaceful sanctuaries in Devon, we unlock a world of natural, wild beauty where horses, ponies, and people who were struggling can enjoy life again.
Our compassionate and knowledgeable team cares for nearly 200 horses and ponies at our sanctuaries. About the role
The Exchange is looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working Sales Assistant with a flair for customer service, and a passion for plants, craft and people. This is an exciting new opportunity to help support our Retail Manager in establishing The Garden Room as a vibrant, successful and welcoming space for retail, selling homeware and gifts; craft and garden supplies and tools; plants and plant care products; and some fashion, fragrance and cosmetics. The Garden Room acts as the main entrance into The Exchange, and so the Sales Assistant will be expected to be able to talk confidently about the wider organisation and its work. The space is also used for workshops, focusing on the interconnection between craft and gardens.
Principle Duties:

- Sales: Maximise sales within our retail space, The Garden Room, by assisting with the day-to-day running of the shop, ensuring it is always well presented, welcoming and secure.

- Plant Care: Basic care of the plants within The Garden Room and elsewhere in The Exchange.

Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service in The Garden Room, answering queries and giving general assistance in a warm and friendly manner to ensure a positive visitor/customer experience, and to encourage repeat visits.
- Talk confidently about the wider work of The Exchange, including our history, ethos and our events/programme.
- Ensure the smooth operational running of The Garden Room.
- Till and cash handling, processing transactions on the till system, packaging and gift wrapping any purchases as required.

Purpose of the job/About the role
Join our Delivered Services team as an Admiral Nurse and bring your specialist dementia nursing expertise to support family carers, people affected by dementia, and professionals who require specialist advice. You’ll be a key member of our team, providing biopsychosocial support through our National Dementia Helpline and Virtual Clinic appointments.
In addition to your core responsibilities, you’ll have the opportunity to lead and support other clinical projects across the charity, benefit from monthly clinical supervision, and participate in a range of learning opportunities to support your ongoing professional development.
As an Admiral Nurse, you’ll be responsible for providing nursing support and expertise, offering practical guidance to colleagues, the general public, those with dementia, and others in supporting family and relationship-centered approaches to dementia care. You’ll also lead and coordinate shifts as required, providing clinical supervision to others and assist with the development, evaluation, audit of the service.
To be successful in this position, you’ll need to be an active Registered Nurse on the NMC register with a post-registration qualification or training in dementia care or a relevant subject. You will have significant experience of practicing as an Admiral Nurse or dementia specialist nurse and previously worked with people who have dementia and their family, carer and supporters in different settings.
Strong communication skills are essential, as is a proven track record of providing high standards of clinical leadership and specialist nursing support. You should be adept at providing clinical advice, clinical supervision, and advocating for family carers.

We have been awarded a significant grant from the Defra Trees Call to Action Fund for #Defra Heart of England: growing momentum, capacity, skills and trees. In partnership with Stratford-on-Avon, Warwick, and Wychavon District Councils, the Heart of England Forest is leading this three year project to engage with landowners and local communities to increase tree cover across the landscape. Working together to identify suitable areas for trees to be planted, facilitate tree planting, and support woodland maintenance, new woodlands will be created that benefit the environment, boost biodiversity, and provide havens for communities to enjoy.
We are looking for two candidates with widespread experience of project delivery and good team working skills. The successful candidates will work closely with project partners to engage with local communities and larger scale landowners to identify suitable areas for tree planting. Working with them to understand their needs, you will provide information on different types of planting and support them through the regulatory and funding process.
You will be passionate about landscape-scale conservation and the benefits this brings to both people and wildlife and have a demonstrable track record in successful team working.
The post will be based in the Heart of England Forest head office in Dorsington, but due to the nature of the project hybrid working will form part of the role. We set up and manage inexpensive grant-giving funds for families, individuals, companies, national funders and the public sector, and we revitalise historic grant-giving trusts that have become dormant or onerous. We specialise in giving grants to vital local charitable groups that help keep our area thriving. We have given over £1m in grants every year for the last few years.
Overview of the Role
The Grants Officer will work the one other Grants Officershare the workload of managing the grant-giving of donors and funders to achieve their giving aims, and help support local charitable groups meet the needs of the communities they serve. We currently manage around 50 grant-giving funds, most named and directed by different families, individuals, companies, and public sector bodies e.g. the NHS. We have well-established grant giving processes. We plan to keep increasing our impact on and support of local communities.
We have mandatory Monday team meetings in person, and then work at home or our small offices as preferred, with external meetings as required. You’ll have access to the national network of Community Foundations
We are a place-based funder. A consistent presence in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, and access to personal transport, are important.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
1) Grant Giving Processes
- Help manage our Making Local Life Better Fund, which combines a number of donor funds who wish to give responsively, and which is open to groups to apply for any (charitable) support, at least three times a year.
- Help manage intermittent standalone funds of over £50k, within agreed timescales, for donors and funders who wish to make a specific impact.
c. Most donor funds work in one or other of these two ways, but there are some who work differently to make their grants, and you will help manage these
This work includes some or all of the following:
i. Direct contact with some donors and/or funders
ii. writing fund criteria based on donor/funder aims in ways that applicants can easily understand
iii. promoting funds on the website, networks, funding fairs, etc
iv. offering basic support where groups need help with applying
v. reading and assessing grant applications thoroughly, against the criteria of the fund, for governance and legal requirements, viability impact etc, asking questions if necessary
vi. writing brief accurate summaries of applications that donors and funders understand, and that can also be used in reports.

ix. arranging interim visits to groups if needed

2) Strategic and Stakeholder Work; Local Intelligence
a. Maintain and develop our knowledge of and reach to local charitable groups, via visits, workshops, briefings and other methods
b. Ongoing streamlining of systems, balancing safeguarding (of money and people) and maximising impact
c. Develop our Advisory Group, and pool of assessors and panellists
d. Develop/maintain relationships with external stakeholders e.g. councils, external working groups, infrastructure groups, other funders, 360 Giving, the Community Foundation network
e. Start to contribute to our local needs analysis, and impact measurement, for understanding of how our grants create change for the better
3) Administration and Teamwork
1. Manage our grant giving and your own administrative needs by maximising our CRM system (a version of Salesforce), and Microsoft Office tools
2. Work with the constraints and opportunities of a small charity
3. Help maintain the Community Foundation’s good reputation, offering equitable access and timely communications
Skills and Background Needed
1) Considerable experience of grant-giving (particularly between £1000 and £10,00000) in the local charitable and voluntary sector, or related sector
2) Strong organisational and administration skills: you will use Microsoft Office applications and our bespoke Salesforce database daily
3) Excellent “people” skills; you need to be very organised, but this is not a purely an administrative role; communication and teamwork are needed to work with all staff in the small team, as well as with donors, funders, trustees, and other stakeholders
4) A strong understanding of inclusion, equity and diversity, and the ability to work effectively with people from a range of backgrounds, proactively seeking to include eligible groups from all areas in the city and county

About the role
The Finance Director (“FD”) will oversee the financial activities of the charity and will be responsible for overseeing the charity’s finances and finance team, driving financial planning and managing financial risks.
The FD will need to have the ability and confidence to apply judgement and leadership skills to make sure that the charity executes strategies and plans in a timely and thorough manner.
This is a 12-month contract starting Autumn 2024, ideally 20 hours/week, but we would consider other working patterns for the right candidate.
The permanent FD role is subject to a genuine occupational requirement for the post-holder to be a practising Christian due to our ethos and the strategic nature of the role however, given the temporary nature of this appointment, we have removed the requirement, although still desirable. We instead are looking for a candidate who is sympathetic to the Christian faith and/or our ethos.
The salary for this role is £44,000-£50,000 (plus pension and expenses) full-time-equivalent, dependent on experience.
The role will be based at The King’s Centre in Osney Mead, Oxford, but will involve some travel around Oxfordshire and can also include some homeworking.
Key relationships
On a day-to-day basis, you will be working with a range of team leaders, including our chair of trustees, Executive Officer, Operations Director, church leaders, school principal, chair of The King’s Centre Limited, and the finance team.
You will attend the Strategic Oversight Group, comprising a handful of these team leaders, who work collaboratively on charity-wide goals and challenges.

Financial
- Developing and controlling the operational budget, in conjunction with the Finance, Risk & Audit Committee.
- Overseeing and managing the Finance Team, empowering the finance team with the leadership and resources they need.
- Reviewing the efficiency of the charity’s financial processes and taking steps to improve them.
- Ensuring that the necessary funding has been resourced to facilitate operational growth.

There are two vacant full-time roles in the Paper and Photograph Conservation studios at Tate Britain. One is permanent with a focus on large-scale touring exhibitions, with start date in October 2024. The other is a fixed-term contract until 31st March 2027 and focuses on modern and contemporary art.
The Senior Conservation Technician provides technical expertise on the mounting, framing, storage and packing of art on paper, photographs, library, and archive material. Day to day you will undertake a variety of traditional and modern mounting, framing, and housing techniques, devise display, installation and packing methods, and advise and train paper conservation technicians. You’ll work closely with a paper conservator and the wider team to review and document your work to ensure the highest standards in the care of Tate’s paper-based collections.
