We have a part time role for a Scheme Manager at our sheltered housing scheme based in Oxford, Furnace House. The scheme consists of 38 flats, featuring a communal lounge and kitchen for the residents' use. Your typical day could start with providing practical assistance to a resident before you undertake a site inspection. Then you might be meeting with an internal or external stakeholder to effectively signpost a resident to additional or specialist support before you lead a scheme event promoting resident participation and wellbeing.
As a Scheme Manager, you’ll be the ‘face of Peabody’ and no one day is the same. You’ll be at the heart of your Peabody community, playing a crucial role supporting the practical needs and wellbeing of residents ensuring community safety. With a particular focus on helping our vulnerable older residents, you’ll actively work with residents in the management of their self-contained flat, developing and improving Peabody’s service to them and ensuring we take full account of our older residents’ needs.
You’re a people person who likes to get things done. You’ll enjoy working collaboratively with other scheme managers and our allocation teams and you’re first rate at building strong relationships across the business to enable you to find creative solutions to issues.To be successful in this role, you’ll need to be in the scheme five days a week, drive and have access to a vehicle.
Your role covers all aspect of housing management – everything from estate, scheme, and property inspections to identifying issues and capturing feedback to continuously improve our services and customer satisfaction. To be a success in this role, you’re
- Experienced in providing support to vulnerable adults.
- Experienced within a customer facing role, preferably within housing management and ideally within the social housing sector.

This role will require an Enhanced DBS check, a UK driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.

Purpose of the job
The Head of Digital will be responsible for leading our digital, IT and information systems. They will also have oversight of AV and for the technical development of online education materials.
The post holder will lead the digital transformation of the organisation, continuously improving the effectiveness and impact of the Society. They will lead resource planning, management, reporting and coordination of projects/initiatives to deliver change in line with business requirements. This will involve leading end to end delivery digital projects, including technology delivery and change management required to improve, implement and embed digital systems, IT infrastructures and processes.
Main responsibilities
- Project manage major digital projects and ensure relationships with external stakeholders and engagement with Members, Staff and Service Users are all managed effectively.
- Research solutions and make recommendations for the improvement of systems and infrastructure.
- Appoint suppliers of digital services and oversee the Institute’s relationships with them, ensuring they provide a high-quality service and value for money.
- Provide first line support to staff, responding to basic technical queries and issues, such as password resets, software installation, and troubleshooting common hardware and software issues.
- Manage the IT infrastructure and security of the CRM system.
- Ensure the smooth operation of the CRM system, including user access management and working with our support provider to carry out data backups and system updates.
- Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect customer data and ensure compliance with organisational policies and industry regulations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the CRM system and collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement improvements to the system's performance and functionality.
- Establish services in line with industry standard service design principles.
- Keep on top of new and innovative ways to present the Institute’s digital content, proposing and experimenting with ways to develop its content in line with changing digital trends and audience preferences.
- Manage and develop the Society’s AV presence for in-house seminars and events as well as online AV requirements.
- Technical development of online educational products.
- Oversee financial aspects including budgeting, budget review and procurement.
Other responsibilities
- Work to increase the number of people reached through the Institute’s web presence and to build repeat usage, for example, by providing expertise on search engine optimisation, pay-per-click and social media advertising, and managing paid-for search.
- Coach, advise and share information on digital content, communications and services within the wider organisation. Encourage and support staff and members to engage with digital communications and adopt a ‘digital first’ mind-set.
- Take the lead on Google Analytics and other digital monitoring/measurement tools, ensuring that digital metrics are implemented, consistently reported and widely used across the Institute.
- Provide AV support for in-person, online and hybrid events using Zoom.

About the team
Shelter Sheffield provide housing advice and support to people across the city with a focus on emergency homelessness, intensive support for children and families, people experiencing domestic abuse and people with multiple and complex needs. We take a holistic approach to help people deal with interrelated issues that can impact their ability to keep a home.
About the role
You will be the local leader for Shelter’s Community Services, leading a multidisciplinary team in implementing Shelter’s strategy locally, delivering the local response to the housing emergency and empowering the local community in Sheffield to fight for home.
You will take the lead on the delivery of services and contracts to provide consistently high levels of performance, and plan and deliver service development strategies, including seeking business development opportunities that align with our strategic aims, both across Community Services and in partnership with the Lead Solicitor.
As the strategic lead for your locality, you will promote and direct systems change activity, so we better understand what is influencing people’s experience of homelessness and bad housing, and so we have effective plans to influence change.
You will act as an ambassador for Shelter within your region, representing the organisation through media, networks, and local stakeholder engagement.
Alongside this, you will plan and implement resourcing plans for your Hub, including staffing, volunteers, and engaging people with lived experience, and will manage the Hub Leadership team. Ensuring there are multiple and ongoing opportunities for people with lived experience of homelessness and bad housing to be part of Hub development, activities, and learning is a key element of this role, as is upholding and promoting a learning culture with the Hub.
About you
A natural leader, who can inspire, support and motivate individuals, communities, and your own team to advocate for change, you will have a proven working knowledge of homelessness, housing and related issues affecting local communities. You will possess sound experience of managing and delivering contracts, partnerships, and services, and of being involved in implementing and reviewing change management, whilst demonstrating excellent budgeting and financial reporting skills.
The ability to proactively develop and maintain key relationships and having impressive analytical skills to use insight and evidence to present data, manage performance and to identify and implement systems change are vital to this role, as are impressive interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

What the role looks like
The Financial Education Coordinator will be responsible for recruiting and onboarding schools to embed our free financial education resources into primary school classrooms. You will be able to generate enthusiasm for financial education, as well as develop strong relationships with schools and other project collaborators. You will achieve this by proactively researching, networking, and making connections with schools in London and the Southeast region. Once they have registered, you will then train the teachers and school staff on how to incorporate our resources flexibly into their classrooms. The Financial Education Delivery Coordinator will need to work flexibly with each school to best meet their needs, according to our policies and guidelines. Reporting the progress of the various programmes is a key part of the role and the ability to collate data, identify risks, and meet deadlines is crucial.
As a part of the broader Programmes and Innovation department, this role is a creative opportunity to develop new ideas and ways of delivering financial literacy to primary schools. About the Role
This role will support the development and delivery of the RSPB’s UK carbon partnerships and reporting directly to the Head of Corporate Partnerships. You will provide critical expertise and capacity needed to engage with business, driving significant income growth and reaching challenging targets.
You will work closely with Senior Programme Manager – Carbon Finance as well as with colleagues across Conversation Investment, Business Conservation Advice, and the wider Business Engagement function to secure high-value corporate partnerships which will have a significant impact in the fight against the dual nature and climate crisis.

What skills are you looking for?

You will deliver a great customer experience to our donators when collecting or delivering donations.

About you
As a Scope Stock Transport Driver, you’ll need a full, clean driving licence with a willingness to undertake relevant training.
You’ll enjoy delivering great customer service and have a professional, courteous manner with the general public.
You must also be able to able to lift heavy and/or bulky items and happy to be trained in the use of lifting equipment for very heavy items.
You’ll enjoy being out and about working outdoors, in all weathers, travelling far and wide in your area.
