Duties and key responsibilities
1. Trusts and Foundations
- Act as the main point of contact for trusts and foundations supporting gifts under £10,000, ensuring they receive timely and appropriate support, materials, and updates to foster successful grant applications and long-term relationships.
- Identify and research new trusts and foundations whose funding priorities align with Sarcoma UK’s mission.
- Plan and coordinate the schedule of grant applications aligning with internal priorities and submission deadlines.
- Draft compelling grant applications, ensuring high-quality submissions, and coordinate the process of application tracking and reporting.
- Maintain the existing pipeline of trust fundraising activities in Raiser's Edge, monitoring progress and ensuring follow-up actions are taken.
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with new and existing trusts, foundations, and grant-making bodies.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the Trusts and Foundations fundraising strategy.
- Work with the Research, Policy, and Support Services teams to arrange meetings between trust representatives and Sarcoma UK funded project leads, where appropriate.
- Collaborate with the Communications team to ensure that trust and foundation-related web pages are up-to-date and engaging.
2. Fundraising Support
Merchandise
- Manage stock by overseeing merchandise stock levels, liaising with suppliers, processing orders, and ensuring smooth fulfilment of orders.
- Manage Sarcoma UK’s online shop, ensuring it is regularly updated with accurate product listings and that orders are processed efficiently, meeting supporter expectations.
Administrative Support
- Provide general administrative support across all fundraising activities and projects as needed by the organisation.
- Produce regular reports on fundraising activities, including data from JustGiving, Enthuse, and GoFundMe, ensuring accurate tracking and evaluation.
- Contribute to the smooth running of the organisation, assisting with general administrative tasks and ensuring processes are followed consistently.
- Monitor, evaluate and analyse fundraising activities, providing insights to inform future strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on Sarcoma UK’s fundraising database (Raiser's Edge).
Supporter Care
- Respond promptly and professionally to fundraising inquiries via post, email, and phone, offering support and guidance to donors and fundraisers.
General Fundraising Support
- Collaborate with the Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager to identify new prospects within Sarcoma UK’s supporter community.
- Work with the Communications team to identify and maximise publicity opportunities, raising awareness of Sarcoma UK’s fundraising efforts.
- Provide occasional support for Major Donor fundraising activities as needed.
- Stay up to date with the latest fundraising practices and trends ensuring Sarcoma UK’s processes and procedures align with best practices.
3. Other Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Sarcoma UK’s existing and potential supporters, including contacts within trusts and foundations.
- The role may require occasional travel to events and meetings across the UK, including some evening or weekend work, for which Time Off In Lieu (TOIL) will be provided.
- Adapt to the evolving needs of Sarcoma UK, taking on additional duties and responsibilities as required.

About the role Finance Support and Service Officer
Sightsavers are excited to be recruiting a new team member to join their Burkina Faso country office. The Finance Support and Services Officer provides finance management support for the Country Office under the leadership of Finance Support and Service Manager.
Knowledge, skills and experience
In collaboration with colleagues the Finance Support and Service Officer will continually ensure quality and consistency of financial management in the country office. They will support the development of solutions to financial and support related problems, assist in the monitoring of country resource management and identify any risks or issues to the Programme Manager.
The post-holder will ensure financial management and risk mitigation are compliant with local regulations and adhere to the organisational Financial Framework by implementing financial controls, planning and budgeting. The role will lead support services for the country office by managing logistics of procurement supplies, manage payroll and work with programme and finance teams to review programme/project reports, planning and analysis, auditing of funds provided and grant management reporting.
The preferred candidate will have a relevant professional accounting qualification and a degree (or equivalent) in finance, accounting or related field. Previous experience working in an INGO environment is desirable, with experience of audit and government organisations being an advantage. A background in financial management is required, as are budget and data analysis skills, excellent communication skills and the ability to work with minimum supervision.
Fluency/strong written and spoken English and French and current and ongoing right to work in Burkina Faso required.

This is an exciting time to join our organisation. Our current strategy will be reviewed in 2025 we are seeking an inspirational Chief Executive to lead the organisation in the next phase of our development and ambition.
Responsible for all aspects of the charity's work, the Chief Executive will work collaboratively with the Board, staff and other stakeholders to ensure that we remain a world leader in tackling slavery.
The Chief Executive will act as our lead ambassador and spokesperson with funders, media and decision makers, ensuring that our work in ending slavery is well understood and impactful.
They will drive the development and growth of the organisation ensuring that we are able to accelerate, scale and continue to deliver positive impact on the modern slavery eco system in the UK and internationally.
We are looking for a candidate who brings:
- Significant experience of executive leadership, preferably within a human rights and/or global context
- Understanding and experience of leading systemic change in the nonprofit sector, ideally in the human rights field
- A passion to address the causes and consequences of modern-day slavery, including evidence of a deep empathy for survivors and an understanding of the power of their voices
- Excellent communication and influencing skills - able to mobilise stakeholders and build our profile across the world, especially in the Global South.
- A deep commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, with a proven record of building high performing teams and leading positive change across an organisation through strong strategic leadership and financial management.
- An empathetic leader with the ability to model authentic and courageous leadership, with strong listening skills and high levels of personal integrity

About the role
The next CEO will provide strategic leadership and vision for RAD, working closely with the Board of Trustees and staff team to drive RAD’s mission and objectives. The CEO will be responsible for leading the organisation's strategic direction, ensuring sustainability, and representing RAD externally to strengthen partnerships and raise the charity’s profile.
It is essential that the new CEO can demonstrate a deep understanding of the unique challenges rural communities face, ensuring RAD’s work is impactful and community-centered.
The new CEO must have experience of successfully managing a team of staff, securing new income streams, and the development and delivery of services.
RAD is seeking someone who is both compassionate and supportive, with an inspirational ability to lead by empowering those around them.
