The Role
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will lead and manage the Finance and Corporate Services functions, ensuring strong financial governance, compliance, and strategic planning. You'll work closely with internal and external stakeholders including the Board, Executive Team, regulators, auditors, and funders.

You will also act as the organisational lead for financial strategy, treasury management, HR, IT infrastructure, and internal and external communications-ensuring that EastEnd Homes is well-resourced and delivering outstanding services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing leadership across Finance, IT, HR, and Communications, implementing procedures, policies and strategies
• Manage, support, and develop staff across the Finance and Corporate Services teams, including performance reviews, training needs, and continuous improvement
• Ensure all statutory returns and performance reports are accurate and submitted on time
• Embed a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous service improvement
• Ensure full compliance with the Housing Regulator's and FCA's financial frameworks, including the timely submission of returns
• Lead the preparation of annual statutory accounts and liaise effectively with external auditors
• Oversee day-to-day financial operations, ensuring robust systems and internal controls are in place
• Manage relationships with lenders and ensure compliance with loan covenants
• Leading treasury management, budgeting, financial planning and reporting
• Monitor spend against budgets and provide timely, accurate financial reporting to the Executive Team and Board
• Develop sound financial controls and value-for-money initiatives, ensuring efficient and cost-effective service delivery
• Identify and pursue additional funding or grant opportunities aligned to EastendHomes' goals
• Driving improvements in digital services and internal IT systems to enhance customer experience and internal efficiencies
• Proactively identify and manage financial and operational risks, contributing to a robust risk management framework
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and contribute to the Annual Assurance Statement
• Represent the organisation with external partners, stakeholders, funders, and regulators

About You:

• Recognised accountancy qualification (e.g. ACCA, ACA, CIMA)
• Proven experience in a senior finance and/or corporate services leadership role
• Experience working within the housing sector, or a similarly regulated, customer-facing environment.
• Experience of working effectively with a Board or committee, writing and presenting reports, strategies etc.
• Strong understanding of financial governance, legislation, and risk management as well as developing short, medium and long term financial plans which ensure their financial viability over the longer term
• A collaborative, values-driven leadership style who fosters an inclusive environment at the fore front of what they do
• Excellent communication and influencing skills to be able to communicate financial concepts and organisational performance insights to internal and external stakeholders

Sightsavers is looking for a Legacy Manager - a vital role within our in-house Legacy team to manage and operate the administration of all legacies received by Sightsavers

About you - skills and experience

You will have: 

• previous experience in Charity Legacy Management or equivalent areas of specialism in the legal sector, ideally with managerial responsibility, with the Institute of Legacy Management Certificate CICLA (Certificate in Charity Legacy Administration), STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) qualification or equivalent
• demonstrable experience of working in a senior position in the legacy department of a charity or Probate department of a firm of Solicitors, Bank or Trust Corporation

The team mostly work from home however, our expectation is that we will need the successful candidate to be able to travel to the offices in Haywards Heath, West Sussex (RH16 3BW) at least once per quarter but there is also the option to work in the office for three days per week, working the other two days from home. It’s an easy 20-minute train journey from Brighton or 45 minutes from London. We’re located close to Haywards Heath rail station and on lots of bus routes. Please note that this role must be worked from within the UK.

The Latin American Women’s Rights Service (LAWRS) is a human rights, feminist organisation led by and for Latin American migrant women in the UK. The Research and Engagement Policy Officer will be responsible for supporting the development of LAWRS’ policy, advocacy, and campaigning work through research co-development with a group of migrant survivors of domestic abuse.  This research will highlight the barriers experienced by migrant survivors in accessing healthcare and provide opportunities for co-production and participation in policy, advocacy and campaigning spaces for women facing severe disadvantage due to intersectional inequalities.

Alzheimer’s Society’s Dementia Friends programme is the UK’s biggest ever initiative to change people’s perceptions of dementia. For 11 years, it has been transforming the way the nation thinks, acts and talks about the condition through volunteer led Dementia Friends Sessions and tailored resources for organisations. The programme supports individuals and organisations to understand more about dementia and inspires them to take meaningful action to bring help and hope to everyone affected by dementia.

This varied role is all about engaging volunteers, organisations and other internal and external stakeholders with this flagship programme. The role will work across a specified region to recruit, engage, train and support Dementia Friends Ambassadors (DFAs) volunteers. It will support development of new learning resources for programme routes and work with teams across Alzheimer’s Society to support them to use to all programme routes to build relationships and deliver impact.

Most importantly, this role will give you the opportunity to really make a difference for people affected by dementia by raising the awareness of small steps that everyone can take to make the world a better place for them. You will be inspiring behaviour change at all levels!

About you

We are looking for an empathetic and organised volunteer manager who loves to engage and inspire people. You will have experience of managing volunteers, developing resources and delivering training to a wide range of stakeholders both virtually and in person. The Dementia Friends Engagement Officer will work closely with teams across the Society to ensure that the Dementia Friends Programme is integrated into all of the work that Alzheimer’s Society does and is seen as a force for change.  You’ll be a great relationship builder, whose passion is delivering excellent stewardship and who’s skilled at supporting and influencing multiple stakeholders. You’ll have excellent project management and IT skills including using all Microsoft packages and experience of using databases to record and report on data.

About the role

The Policy and Public Affairs team is responsible for Carers UK’s policy, media, campaigns, research, public affairs and media functions, working with our colleagues in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. You will help ensure that all our external influencing is accessible, values-driven, and rooted in the lived experiences of disabled people. 

We’re looking for someone with experience in political influencing, campaigning, or public affairs. You’ll need to be organised, creative, and confident representing our organisation in public-facing spaces. 

Your responsibilities

1. Campaigns (50% of time)

· Develop strategic campaign goals and deliver inclusive, impactful campaigns, rooted in lived experience, in collaboration with colleagues and Transport for All members

· Use a range of techniques, including e-campaigning, direct action, and events, to engage and mobilise members and alliies

· Lead on using an online campaigning tool (e.g. Action Network), supporting and growing our campaigning members, while ensuring that accessible, offline actions are given equal weighting

· Work closely with the Communications and Engagement team to ensure campaign content is timely, accessible, and effective

· Build partnerships with other Disabled People’s Organisations and charities to amplify campaign efforts

· Monitor and report on campaign impact and key performance indicators (KPIs)

· Ensure campaigns reflect Transport for All’s values and centre disabled people’s lived experiences

2. Public Affairs (40% of time)

· Communicate Transport for All’s policy positions to MPs, civil servants, mayors, local authorities, and other key stakeholders

· Build and maintain relationships with political stakeholders, including elected officials and sector partners

· Represent Transport for All at external meetings, conferences, and events

· Monitor and respond to political developments, identifying timely opportunities for influence

· Collaborate with the Policy and Public Affairs Officer to ensure consistent and coordinated external messaging

3. Cross team working (10% of time)

· Work closely with the Policy and Public Affairs Officer to align public affairs and campaign activity with our co-designed policy positions

· Contribute to internal reporting, including updates for funders and the board

· Take part in team planning and reflection processes to support learning and impact

What's the role about?

As part of the Scotland Leadership Team, the North Scotland Operations Director leads the RSPB’s place-based delivery, primarily across our nature reserves and within the RSPB’s Priority Landscapes where we are working to influence and support others to restore nature and inspire communities within some of Scotland’s most iconic landscapes.

This is a role for an exceptional director, with a team of approximately 150 staff and 500 volunteers, significant budget (£5M+), land based commercial operations, major project and risk accountability, and responsibility for restoring some of Scotland’s most threatened species & habitats.

The role covers four large Operational Areas which comprise the RSPB’s North Scotland Region, including the organisation's two largest nature reserves. The Operations Director line manages 4 Area Managers in the following operational areas:

1. Shetland & Northeast Scotland;
2. Orkney;
3. North Highland and Outer Hebrides, and
4. South Highland.

Other line reports are the Senior Programme Manager for the Scotland Peatland Programme, and the Inverness Office Manager.

Alongside the Operational Director role, the post holder also has overall responsibility for some of the RSPB’s largest and most high-profile projects and programmes, including the Orkney Native Wildlife project, the Scotland Peatland Programme, and Cairngorms Connect.

We’re looking for a talented director with experience of managing a diverse and dispersed operational portfolio. You’ll be someone who can build strong collaborations (both internally & externally), and you’ll be comfortable representing the RSPB to a range of audiences, from community groups to public agency executives and leaders alongside politicians and Government Ministers.

You should be confident to make decisions and be able to balance risk and opportunity. An understanding of - and an ability to operate within - governance, finance and risk frameworks is also a key part of the role. A background in nature conservation isn’t necessary, but you’ll be passionate about our mission and joining the movement to end the nature & climate emergency.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

• Educated to degree level or relevant high-level experience to effectively communicate complex messages and use management information to undertake responsibilities.
• Knowledge of the RSPB and its mission
• Visible, inspiring and effective leadership of own Operational Team, engaging and motivating staff and volunteers at all levels (reserves, sites, project, specialist and area teams)
• Proven leadership and people management skills, able to develop team members for high performance and build a positive culture across geographically dispersed teams.

The Woodland Trust is looking for an Events and Communications Officer in our Smithills team to support the delivery of our Communications and Engagement program on Smithills Estate.

The Role: 
•    This will include responsibility for our busy events programme, creation of content for our social media channels, and administrative support for our wider people engagement and volunteering programme. This is to inspire people about the landscape of Smithills and facilitating a deeper connection with woods and trees.
•    Coordinate and deliver events and activities that provide visitors and local community groups with the opportunity to connect with the site and support the work of the Woodland Trust. This includes providing engaging experiences for schoolteachers, children, community groups, and the general public, with a focus on encouraging self-led activity going forward.
•    Operational delivery of events, including organising contractors, room bookings, and equipment; ensuring event site and contractors are compliant with health and safety requirements; event set-up and management on the day; and event volunteer coordination.
•    Building relationships with local schools, engaging with schools in high-importance areas, and combining the Green Tree School Award and Free Tree Packs. 
•    Establish more volunteer support and start a young volunteer team for ages 13 -17.
•    This is a fixed term contract until the end of January 2026, part time role (15 hours / 2 days per week).
•    Occasional weekend work to be expected. 
•    This is a Hybrid working role, where you’ll work part of your time at home and part of the time from our Regional Office based in Smithills, Bolton, with travel in the UK as required.

This is a new role within the communications and engagement team, with responsibility for helping our members to campaign and secure improvements to regional transport accessibility. The role is part of our work to achieve justice in society, where disabled people’s voices are amplified, and our message is heard and acted upon.

You will work across the north of England, mirroring the regions covered by the Sub-national Transport Body ‘Transport for the North’. You must live in this region to apply and undertake this position.

You will collaborate with Transport for All members, disabled people’s organisations, and civil society organisations, bringing disabled people together to share our views on accessible transport and make change. Where campaigning is already taking place, you will work alongside it, offering resources and practical support as desired.

You will need to stay abreast of transport developments in your region, and work closely with other teams to share your insights. This will ensure local disabled people’s experiences guide the national agenda.

Key responsibilities

1. Planning and development (10% of time)

· Plan regular activity across your region, considering staffing, budget, and wider organisational requirements

· Help to develop and deliver Transport for All’s membership offering, community building and local campaign support

· Keep Transport for All’s CRM and records up to date

· In partnership with your manager, create systems to monitor objectives against funding and organisational targets and prepare reports to evidence progress against these

2. Communication and community building (50% of time)

· Build relationships with local members, campaigners, disabled people’s organisations, groups and forums

· Represent Transport for All at meetings and events, including giving presentations on our work

· Organise and deliver regular member meetings online and offline, providing space for people to connect, share transport accessibility news and plan and progress campaigns

· Contribute and commission member content for the member newsletter, website, and social media

· Speak to the media and develop and grow a network of local members willing to train as spokespeople for meetings and media interviews

· Promote and grow a diverse membership in your region

· Ensure members can take part in paid opportunities via the training, research and consultancy team

3. Policy influencing and campaigning (30% of time)

· Maintain awareness of the policy agenda for your area

· Keep abreast of transport issues local members are experiencing

· Act as a conduit between members, the Insight and Advice team, and the Policy, Public Affairs and Campaigns team

· Work collaboratively with the Policy, Public Affairs and Campaigns team to form and maintain relationships with key regional stakeholders

· Coordinate responses to regional transport consultations in line with Transport for All positions, coordinating contributions from members, and giving guidance to members who wish to respond individually.

· Bring together and support members and campaign groups to influence local policy through local or national Transport for All campaigns. This could mean you will:

o Support members with campaign planning

o Provide practical support eg booking venues and access support for meetings, coordinating emails to local members

o Give guidance on technical aspects of transport policy

o Attend meetings with decision makers alongside campaigners, and representatives from the Policy, Public Affairs and Campaigns team

o Publicise campaigns in local media

o Document campaigners’ experiences for others to learn from eg via website pieces or commissioned blogs

· Contribute to Transport for All’s understanding of overarching issues and contribute to national campaign planning.

4. Insight (10% of time)

· Share information about the Transport for All advice-line with members and the disabled community in your region

· Give updates on regional transport changes to the Insight and Advice team to support accurate advice giving and regional casework

5. General (at all times)

· Undertake any other tasks, duties or projects which may arise from time to time which are in line with the general level of this post and as instructed

· Undertake occasional evening and weekend work as required, and take responsibility for arranging time off in lieu with your manager

· Line manage and supervise members, contractors and staff as required

We are delighted to be working with the Charity to recruit a permanent Communications & Social Media Officer to join its established team based at conveniently located offices in Central London. 

The role:

This newly created position will expand the capacity of the organisation's communications team, supporting the Communications, PR & Events Manager in delivering engaging, high-impact external communications. The focus will be on managing the Charity’s digital presence, including its social media channels and newsletter to enhance visibility, engagement and public awareness.

The role requires a strategic, organised and creative approach to social media platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Vimeo and BlueSky. It will entail preparing and delivering innovative and compelling content in both written, visual and video production formats, which showcase the work of the Charity and its network of grantees. Using the latest platforms and technology such as Canva and InDesign, this role will help tell the important stories which emanate from the work of the charity, including publicising events, raising awareness and addressing interesting themes relevant to the work of the Charity and its community.

This role will also monitor and evaluate online engagement and will ensure there is a vibrant, creative and relevant tone across all platforms and mediums. They will also contribute to maintaining the website and newsletter, gathering stories from across the Charity’s networks and ensuring it is accessible and up to date with current affairs and events. Working closely with the Communications, Events and PR Manager, this person will be responsible for identifying opportunities to repurpose and amplify content across multiple channels to ensure the Charity’s media presence is maintained and enhanced both on a local, London wide and National basis.

Beyond digital communications, this role will support a busy calendar of events throughout the year, managing logistics from planning to execution, including navigation lists, booking venues, catering arrangements and on the day support and facilitation. This is a wide-ranging communications role with plenty of scope for development and growth, with the flexibility to be tailored to the strengths and interests of the postholder.

In addition to working for Charity, the post holder will also support the COO of the foundation in its newly developing communications work.  This will require working across 2 schools, and the Charity in collaboration with the communications teams across the Foundation. 

The person:

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in a similar social media or digital communications role, ideally within the charity or not-for-profit sector but equally having come from a commercial setting, where an active interest in charitable work can be clearly evidenced. Bright, engaging and intellectually curious, this person will have a natural enthusiasm for the work of the charity and the desire to be an active member of an office-based team, all working towards the same goals.

An outstanding communicator both in person verbally and in writing, this person will have a proven track record of running digital communications activities and social media campaigns and will be proficient in design tools such as Canva, InDesign, Photoshop and PowerPoint, although training can be given where necessary. The ability to tailor the tone of content for various platforms and to appeal to a wide range of audiences, both locally, London wide and nationally will be important.

The desire to learn new skills will be strongly evident in this person, they will relish the thought of collaborating with colleagues to grow their expertise and to share ideas on how to optimise delivery across the digital and social media space. Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail, this person will be a strategic thinker with the ability to plan ahead and to spot opportunities further down the line to maximise the impact and reach of charity’s work. A working knowledge of WordPress and website management will be very useful but not essential.
