We are looking for someone to join the Senior Leadership Team who will bring experience from their past successes and provide inspirational strategic leadership and direction to the fundraising and communications functions in support of our 5-year vision and charitable mission and objectives.

You will have a strong, successful track record of fundraising and/or other forms of income generating in the charity sector, including management, with proven experience in meeting financial and non-financial targets. You should be able to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, corporate, major donors and other individuals. In addition, you should have a strong knowledge of marketing and communications principles and practice, digital marketing, and social media, and be confident in engaging audience sensitively with real-life stories to demonstrate impact and create a compelling case for support.

For the first month the successful candidate would work from the central office but ultimately the role is hybrid with an expectation that while the Director will be in the office for at least two days a week, the remaining time can be worked remotely if desired.

About the project 

The proposed service Kineara aims to provide is a Community-Based Housing Advice and Support Service for lone parents living in TA (Temporary Accommodation) and to provide a prevented service that advice and support lone parents living in PRS and social rented accommodation, where their tenancies is insecure.

This service will address urgent housing concerns, provide essential advice, and offer tailored, intensive support for those with complex needs. The project will focus on delivering maximum reach through our outreach while maintaining smaller 1:1 caseload for high-needs cases.

About the role 

We are looking for an experienced, motivated and compassionate community -based housing advice and support worker. This role involves conducting community drop- in surgeries which will be delivered across Lambeth Schools, Children’s Centres, Community Groups, GP practices and

Housing Advice Surgeries offering face-to-face housing advice, legal support (where necessary), and signposting to additional service.

You will have experience of working with families and individuals with complex needs. You will be an enthusiastic person who has empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental approach to working with clients and who thrives when working independently with a passion to support change. Strong partnerships will be essential to the project’s success. Building on relationships developed through the Homeward consortium, you will work closely with local schools, Lambeth Council, children’s centres, community organisations, and legal advisors to ensure meaningful signposting and wraparound support for families.

The successful candidate will work with clients to identify their needs and offer tailored solutions to help them achieve sustainable housing outcomes. In this role, you will be working in partnership with community organisations and the council to coordinate tailored support for each client to address their housing issues. The objective of the programme is to provide advice and support to clients who have problems related to their housing and to improve wellbeing and awareness of tenancy rights and housing polices.

Job Title: Floating Support Worker

You will provide capacity-building in the form of advice, advocacy, support, and briefings across the London boroughs to statutory agencies and community organizations around the needs of Eastern European domestic abuse survivors, to embed best practice across our communities. 

The successful appliant  will have proven experience of providing direct emotional and practical support to women as well as up-to-date knowledge of legislation relating to survivors of gender-based violence. Additionally, you will have excellent casework skills, good written and verbal communication skills, clear professional boundaries and be a proactive team player.

About the role:

This role is based at our Gloucester office and will require regular travel within the Gloucestershire area, hence a driving license is essential.

As a Children & Young People Caseworker you will:

• Effectively manage a caseload of self-referrals or referred service users, delivering excellent services which support the commissioners and their service goals to victims.
• Ensure each victim receives an individually appropriate tailored support and information service that fully meets their needs, keeping complex needs central to all processes and decisions
• Undertake risk and needs assessments to address the specific needs of the client in line with VS operating procedures. To follow relevant safeguarding policies and procedures, working with safeguarding leads and other agencies to ensure an integrated approach to address any safeguarding concerns.
• Provide information and advocacy to enable service users to navigate and understand the criminal justice process and ensure their rights are upheld in accordance with the Victims Code of Practice this could include criminal, legal and if relevant, civil remedies to service users.

You will need:

• Understanding of the issues for children and young people who experience disadvantage or crime
• Understanding of confidentiality and safe working practices, in accordance with safeguarding and data protection legislation
• Proven track record of working with children or young people OR proven track record of working with people experiencing domestic abuse
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt style and approach to meet the needs of a specific audience
• Ability to work on own initiative, prioritise work and deal with competing or conflicting demands/ needs and interests in an organised and methodical manner
• Excellent IT and administrative skills including the use of Microsoft Office packages

JOB SUMMARY

She will be responsible for the co-ordination of an effective support plan for clients dealing with issues around domestic abuse and housing.

She will  provide emotional and practical support from the point of crisis, meeting their immediate needs and working towards a holistic, multi-agency approach to their long term safety, risk reduction and recovery.

This support will be based in the community, including client’s homes where risk appropriate, and the Hope Centre and will involve utilising all of Pathway Projects available services, as well as referring into other appropriate agencies. 

.MAIN DUTIES

· To work as part of the outreach team in providing information, support, guidance, advice, signposting, emergency accommodation and resettlement help for adults experiencing or escaping domestic abuse. 

· To support the aims and principles of Pathway Project in empowering and supporting adults who have experienced domestic abuse to make their own decisions and take control of their own lives. 

· Take all possible steps to ensure the safety and confidentiality of the users, staff and management of Pathway Project. 

· To take referrals for people affected by domestic abuse and housing issues, and provide preventative and risk reducing work with regards to both the domestic abuse and housing. 

· To provide a multi-agency approach to support and wellbeing for clients. 

· To provide non-judgemental, one to one emotional and practical support to clients accessing the service. 

· To provide advice and guidance on the full range of services, options and legal remedies open to them. 

· To complete risk assessments, and develop risk management plans to address the risk of harm, including referral into MARAC where appropriate. 

· To undertake safety planning with clients, that addresses all areas of risk, with the focus on risk reduction. 

· To complete needs assessments and individual support plans with the client to ensure their emotional and practical support needs are being met 

· To provide support to clients, alongside colleagues around registering as homeless, bidding on properties, attending appropriate meetings, applying for grants, budgeting for necessary items and necessary life skills for maintaining a property. 

OUTREACH DUTIES

· To provide support to adults in the community, at the centre and their own homes, around physical, emotional, financial, sexual and social abuse. 

· To provide emotional support and, where necessary, signpost to appropriate counselling provisions. 

· To provide practical support and advice around welfare benefits, housing, debt relief, substance misuse, training, employment, mental health and legal issues, including the use of signposting to other appropriate members of staff and agencies. 

· To provide advocacy and liaise with other agencies on behalf of the client where appropriate and necessary. 

· To attend multi agency and professionals meetings to represent the needs of the client and Pathway Project. 

· To attend appointments with the client where required, and if necessary help with the completion of paperwork, including legal documents. 

· To attend court with the client where required. 

· To promote the work of the project through training, presentations and representation at meetings. 

· To assist with the setting up and maintaining of local support networks. 

· To assist with the delivery of client support groups where appropriate. 

GENERAL

• Manage a caseload of appropriate to the number of hours worked. 

• Maintain, update and keep accurate and factual case records. 

• Follow procedures and protocols with other services so that the safety of the service user is kept central to any process. 

• Keep other relevant agencies informed about important changes in service user’s situations, within information sharing protocols. 

• Develop and maintain effective communication systems with key partners including housing, Police, CPS, court service, social services, education, health, victim support, witness service, voluntary sector organisations, CAFCASS. 

• Contribute to the development of service policies, protocols, guidelines and strategies within area of practice as necessary. 

• To ensure that the security of sensitive data is maintained and complies with the policies, procedures and guidelines of the organisation.

Battersea is undergoing a significant transformation programme (known as Launchpad) to deliver real change in the way we work with, utilise, and learn from data. This role, working within the Data Applications Team will initially contribute to the Launchpad programme by supporting training and UAT activity. Response are looking for an enthusiastic & creative individual to join our Communication & Fundraising team as Senior Digital Marketing Manager. The Senior Digital Marketing Manager will lead the development and implementation of Response’s social media strategies, overseeing both paid and organic content to raise awareness of the organisation’s work, connect with key stakeholders, and drive digital fundraising.
