About the Role
We are now recruiting for a Fundraising and Grant Management Specialist to support the Senior Leadership Team in developing and implementing Hibiscus’ Fundraising & Partnerships Strategy.
The successful candidate will be motivated and passionate about the rights of migrant women affected by the criminal justice and immigration systems, and will workThis post holder will identify and plan funding approaches in support of the organisation’s aims and objectives. They will manage current funding relationships whilst developing strong relationships with new funders who can support the charity’s work long-term. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a rolling programme of applications, planning compelling and targeted proposals in support of Hibiscus’ work and develop a fundraising database to track applications. This will involve exploring opportunities for Hibiscus to diversify its funding, working with SLT and the board to identify and cultivate strategically appropriate contacts. The post holder will also be responsible for ensuring stakeholder engagement by producing reports and updates for doners and trusts, facilitating the trauma-informed participation of Hibiscus’ service users in fundraising and establishing good working relationships with colleagues. They will play an active role in communicating relevant information to colleagues, and will work with colleagues to develop impactful, meaningful and data driven proposals.
The successful candidate be responsible for maintaining Hibiscus’ fundraising and development libraries, resources, and directories, including accurate records to monitor feedback. They will support the management of a case studies library, and work as part of the wider team, encouraging dialogue, promoting understanding and championing the work of Hibiscus.

About You

About the Role
We are now recruiting for an experienced Director of Operations to play a crucial role in guiding our driven and committed team as we shift our culture and infrastructure, upholding our vision, mission, principles, and values.
The post holder will work with colleagues to develop, implement and review Hibiscus’s strategy and plans, particularly as they impact our operating and finance models. They will be responsible for developing and monitoring the annual business plan, reporting progress and providing reliable structural, financial and people management. They will support the CEO in building and instilling a sense of unity and purpose into the work of the organisation, and represent the operational work to the Board. They will be responsible for the efficient running of operations and central functions, conducting risk assessments, monitoring performance and reviewing procedures, with a particular focus on overseeing the effective financial management of the organisation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for financial planning and producing financial budgets for the organisation, alongside monitoring projects from start to finish, preparing costings for funding applications, agreeing contracts and grant terms, monitoring deliverables and co-ordinating timely reporting. They will oversee the production of quarterly management accounts and yearly finance audits, and communicate the financial landscape of the organisation to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Board. The Director of Operations will play a key role in risk and compliance, with a focus on data, safeguarding, policies and procedures, and legal and statutory requirements. They will work to increase the effectiveness of our operations, whilst supporting and contributing to the fundraising efforts of the organisation. A key element of the role will be to work to integrate our workplace culture into HR processes and procedures, modelling a fair and open management approach that ensures trusted relationships are embedded throughout the organisation.

This is an exciting new role joining Hope at Home’s Senior Leadership Team with the scope to make a real difference in people’s lives and shape the direction of the charity. The Role:
Planning the project set up
Over the first 6 months of the role and in conjunction with the CEO and Operations Director, you will plan and begin execution of the housing pilot. This will include the development of a fully costed project plan.
Part of the project set up will include working with a wide range of stakeholders: Local Authorities, Landlords or housing providers, Registered Providers, Funders and relevant regulatory bodies.
You will be responsible for securing the use of suitable properties, working with contractors to ensure maintenance and establishing all relevant policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and best practice are followed as well as developing standard operating procedures for service delivery.
With excellent communication skills and working knowledge, you will establish relationships with relevant Housing Benefit departments to ensure income is secured on behalf of our residents and work on gaining Supported Exempt Accommodation Status.
Planning for service delivery
Your role will involve the development and oversight of case management support to all residents, including recruiting and line managing support workers.
Taking into account the wishes and needs of the residents, you will develop a high-quality service which meets regulatory standards and compliance with Regulator of Social Housing Standards.
As a pilot, you will work in conjunction with the Operations Director to monitor outcomes and evaluate the service to ensure we are meeting agreed expectations.

Our Values
Migrant Democracy Project (MDP) envisions a society where all migrants at home in the UK hold collective, political power to shape a society rooted in justice, freedom, and solidarity.
We are looking for a full-time Community Organiser to organise first-generation migrants in the UK towards migrant justice by supporting community members to organise events and participate in campaign activities. The work will connect across 3 streams: voter registration; advocacy & campaigns; and political empowerment.
Whether it’s engaging migrants at a voter registration stall, supporting migrant leaders to develop activities in their own communities, or sharing stories for the campaign for votes for all - the lived experience of first generation migrants is at the heart of all our activities.
We are looking for a proactive Community Organiser who is passionate about migrants’ rights and democracy to start working as soon as possible.
Who funds the role?
The role is funded by a grant from the Esmee Fairbairn Foundation.
Contract
This is a fixed term contract, 2 years (with the possibility of extension depending on future grants). Benefits include:

Location

The Community Organiser will work flexibly from home on administrative tasks and be expected to work in-person when necessary to deliver voter registration, training, informative, advocacy and campaign activities, as well as representing MDP at relevant community events.

Qualifications

This role sits within the Welcome Hackney team. Welcome Hackney supports residents who are currently seeking asylum, have refugee status, or arrived in the borough via the Homes for Ukraine or resettlement schemes. The team also supports migrant residents with no/insecure status who face additional barriers to accessing services.
The purpose of the role will be to set up and manage services which ensure that refugees, migrants and asylum-seeking residents can access the support they need, as well as influencing systems to ensure services are available and accessible. The role will identify any gaps in service provision, working with residents and the voluntary and community sector towards creating a welcoming environment for refugees, migrants and asylum seekers.

RMC attracts funding from a wide range of areas including trusts and foundations, Local Authorities and individuals. The Trusts and Statutory Fundraising Manager will work closely with fundraising and operational colleagues to diversify and grow income from Trusts, Foundations, Statutory bodies, and other institutional funders to enable the organisation to fulfill its strategic priorities. The Asylum Support Appeals Project (ASAP) is a small national charity which was set up in 2004 to reduce destitution by protecting people's legal rights to food and shelter. We have a team of 12 permanent staff members and 45 volunteer solicitors and barristers.
ASAP delivers three strands of work:
- High-quality legal representation at the Asylum Support Tribunal, for people appealing against Home Office decisions to refuse or withdraw their accommodation and financial support.

- We use our strong evidence base to improve government policies and procedures on asylum support through policy work and strategic litigation.
The Women’s Legal Advisor works across the three strands of ASAP’s work to promote and protect the rights of women within the asylum support system. It is a varied and interesting role spanning legal representation at the Asylum Support Tribunal (AST), the provision of advice on ASAP’s Advice Line, the delivery of training, and influencing work with the Home Office. The Staying Close Tenancy Support Practitioner will provide support to identified children in care/leaving care; increasing their knowledge and understanding; enabling them to find and maintain a tenancy. The service will provide practical support and training through face-to-face 121 support, virtual delivery and on a targeted group work basis.
The aim of the programme is to sustain young people (16-25) in appropriate tenancies, equipping them to manage on a limited budget, looking after and maintaining their home, and supporting them to manage relationships with Landlords, housemates, and neighbours.
Face to face and virtual sessions will run over a 6-8-week period, helping to build and nurture positive relationships with young people, supporting them with maintaining boundaries and developing communication to achieve programme outcomes, managing retention.
Working inclusively alongside the young people, focusing on both a relational & strength-based approach, building on their inherent strengths, protective factors and what they want to achieve through the programme. Focus will be on children in residential care/supported lodgings/semi-independent accommodation and separated migrant children.
