About Pregnant Then Screwed (PTS)
Pregnant Then Screwed (PTS) is the leading charity working to end the motherhood penalty. Founded on International Women’s Day in 2015, our work is rooted in lived experience and delivered with fearless conviction. We campaign for change, provide support and advice, and build community with working parents across the UK. We do this with rigour, rage, and love.

The Role
Pregnant Then Screwed’s Tribunal Mentor Programme is a peer-to-peer support service for women and parents taking legal action against an employer for pregnancy and maternity discrimination. We match mentees with volunteer mentors who have been through the Employment Tribunal process themselves for 12 weeks of support through weekly calls. We relaunched the programme in October 2025, and now, with funding from The National Lottery, we are looking for a part time Support Services Coordinator to help us grow and maintain new mentoring matches.
As the Support Services Coordinator, you will be responsible for recruiting and inducting mentees and volunteers onto the programme and supporting matches throughout their journey. You’ll also drive engagement with the programme, and develop recruitment strategies for potential volunteers and mentees.
Responsibilities:

Coordinating the Tribunal Mentor Programme and volunteers.

Welcoming new mentee and mentor applicants to the programme through 121 and group calls.

Recruitment and engagement of new volunteers and participants.

Monitoring our Community WhatsApp groups and responding to enquiries.

Hosting regularly mentor and mentee online check-ins.
-
Researching further support and signposting options for mentees.
-
General administrative tasks, including managing volunteer and mentoring data, supporting the Head of Support Services with reporting data and responding to general enquiries.

Supporting our Head of Support Services with volunteer training, policy and process development.

Supporting other Support Services projects where necessary.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Volunteer engagement - demonstrated through experience managing or coordinating volunteers.
- Diversity, equity and inclusion focus, able to demonstrate a deep understanding of (and confidence in discussing) anti-oppression.
- Engaging written and verbal communication skills - demonstrated through a proven ability to craft engaging newsletters, social posts or discussion prompts.
- Mentee and mentor growth and retention - demonstrated through experience in growing and sustaining a befriending or mentoring programme (or transferable skills from other types of service user engagement)
- Technologically proficient and confident - demonstrated through experience using Beacon or other CRM systems and digital work tools.

ROLE SUMMARY
The Mentoring Coordinator will contribute to upReach's mission, by helping to manage the day to day running of our professional mentoring programmes (Professional Mentoring and Ask an Expert). Professional Mentoring sees students on the upReach programme matched with a professional for a six month period, while Ask an Expert allows students to directly contact professionals for one-off conversations.
GRADUATE SCHEME SUMMARY
The Mentoring Coordinator role is part of upReach’s Future Charity Leaders Programme (FCLP). The FCLP provides you with a unique opportunity to:

Work directly on the upReach mentoring programmes, supporting young people and professionals to form successful mentoring relationships (4 days per week), while also;
-
Gaining exposure to various aspects of charity management through 6-month rotations (1 day per week).
-
Receiving training in Leadership throughout, and have the opportunity to complete an apprenticeship in Leadership and Management after 18 months on the programme (in place of rotations).
The FCLP is designed either for high-calibre graduates from any university, academic subject and background - or for those with experience in the corporate world who are looking for a career change and experience in the charity sector.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

The Mentoring Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that upReach’s mentoring programmes (Professional Mentoring/Ask an Expert) operate smoothly and effectively, and will report to the Volunteering Programme Manager. You will work alongside the Programmes and Partnerships teams to ensure that matches are successful, and that both mentors and mentees have a positive experience of mentoring at upReach.
1) Supporting the smooth running of mentoring programmes:

Deliver day to day operational tasks, including making mentor and mentee matches and responding to professional/student queries received via the Mentoring inbox and the mentoring platform;
-
Act as the primary point of contact for mentors/professional volunteers and students using the upReach mentoring platforms, and take action to resolve any issues raised;
-
Proactively monitor the success of all mentoring relationships/interactions using mentoring platform data, identifying any concerns and taking action to resolve them;
-
Develop and deliver training sessions and resources with the support of the Volunteering Programme Manager to ensure that mentors, professionals and mentees have a high-quality experience.
2) Supporting Partnerships and Programmes teams:
-
Work with the Programmes team to encourage Associates to register for and participate in the mentoring programmes;
-
Work in collaboration with the Programmes and Partnerships teams to help ensure that all mentoring outputs are delivered effectively and on time, and support them with reporting back to partners;
-
Act as the point of contact for employer partners whose primary activity is mentoring, and provide updates on impact measurement for these partners.
3) Rotations in different areas of charity management
-
As part of the FCLP programme, work on rotational projects designed to give you a greater exposure and understanding of the different areas of charity management;

You will have a six month rotation in each of the following areas during your first 18 months on the programme: (1) Fundraising, Partnerships and Comms, (2) Operations and Strategy (3) Project and Product Management;

Each week you will work on projects related to your current rotation (7.5 hours per week). These projects will be agreed with your Rotation Manager, in line with the learning objectives for each rotation.
4) Leadership training and development

Participate in training every six weeks on different soft skills within Leadership through an external training provider during your initial 18 months on the programme. This training will take place through a mixture of online and face to face sessions. Training sessions will include:

Location: This role is based in Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC), the service is a short walk from Ladbroke Grove (Circle and Hammersmith) station. Unfortunately, this service does not have step free access.

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Sunday on a rota which can range between 09:00 - 17:00 or 13:00 - 21:00. You may be required to work outside these hours dependent on service and resident requirements including weekends and bank holidays.
About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Mentor to join our team based in RBKC to support our residents who have multiple and complex needs which could include mental health, substance use, homelessness, and/or offending backgrounds. You will support in providing our residents with the support needed to help them overcome their personal barriers, and achieve their goals in a person centred approach. You will work within a residential setting, creating a safe and comfortable space which our residents can call their homes during their time within the service. The role includes:
- Supporting residents with daily tasks
- Holding a caseload, conducting key work sessions which are personable to their needs
- Carry out regular welfare checks, safeguarding checks, and general living checks
- Encourage residents to take part in activities and events
- Keep support plans up to date on a regular basis
- Work closely with the rest of the team to provide overall excellent service delivery, this may mean also supporting with their caseloads, and other tasks as necessary
- Carry out general housing management support
About You
We're looking for someone who has a true passion to support those who have multiple and complex needs, with a drive to help support those who suffer with homelessness, mental health, and substance use. You will be able to build rapport and trusting relations in a professional setting, and able to build positive outcomes. You will have an adaptable and flexible approach to helping others, with an understanding that each individual has different levels and types of support needs.
- Experience of working with people of complex backgrounds and/or a good understanding of the sector, particularly around multiple and complex needs

We are seeking a full-time member of staff to lead our Alternative Learning Provision (Ed Mentor Programme). The role involves managing a team of staff (Youth Mentors), who are working with young people on the programme to develop confidence, improve educational outcomes and/or reintegrate them back into full time education. Alongside this, you will be required to work closely with key stakeholders (schools, local authorities, families etc), ensuring quality of provision and evidencing its impact.
Your Main Responsibilities:
- Lead, develop and quality assure our Alternative Learning Provision (Ed Mentor Programme), ensuring high standards and positive outcomes for young people.
- Manage, support and develop delivery staff, providing guidance on pastoral, behaviour and safeguarding matters.
- Build strong relationships with schools, local authorities, families and other key stakeholders.
- Oversee referrals, induction, monitoring and reporting processes, using data and feedback to evidence impact and drive improvement.
- Manage programme budget, ensuring sustainability of the programme.
You will have:
- Experience leading or managing an alternative learning provision, youth programme, mentoring service, or education-based intervention.
- Experience in line managing, developing and supporting staff.
- Experience and/or knowledge of the education and youth mentoring sectors.
- A proven track record of effectively building and managing relationships and partnerships.
- Strong behaviour management and pastoral skills.
- An ability to effectively approach and manage challenging situations and conversations.
- An understanding of safeguarding and how to support vulnerable young people, including those with EHCP’s and SEND.
- An understanding of the issues and challenges faced by young people, schools and communities within south Bristol.
- Previous experience of managing budgets.
- An ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- A passion for working with young people to achieve positive outcomes and change lives.
- Competent IT skills.
- Full UK Driving License (preferred).
